Hello hello. It has been TOO LONG since i did this! :) This chapter is about the disband! :D Mainly Shade's POV. I am still going to be posting but like i said last time, not so much! anyways...

Enjoy!

Chapter 8

My heart stops momentarily. I couldn't believe the words coming out of Shade's mouth.

"What? Why?" Questions swarm my head as I try to process this new information

Shade pauses and looks down at his dark paws.

"This is for the better of the pack. Bark's death was the last straw for me. I don't want anyone to die on my account because I got them to join a savage pack!" He sighs and continues

"Maybe it's because I'm getting old and losing my spirit. Or it's because packs are not the answer." He half murmurs to himself

I flatten my ears.

"But there can't be only three packs left! I won't allow it! If you step down, I'll-I'll keep this pack together!" I try to speak but there is fear in my voice

Shade sighs and gives me a friendly smile. He sees the fear in my eyes and voice but does nothing.

"I admire your commitment to this pack but I think it's time to move on. Freedom is out there. Waiting. We just need to go for it.

Shade's Point of view

Panic had begun to rise after I told them that Ravensoul was no more. I saw sad and fearful faces as I scanned my pack. The most in panic out of everyone was probably Fallow, our nursing queen.

"Why is this happening? What about my kits? Ravensoul is the last safe zone in this twolegplace and I refuse to raise my kits as forest born!" She was on her paws but stumbled due to her expecting kits

"It will be fine, Fallow. I have arranged this already with Eclipse and Rogue. You can choose to live with Crescentmoon or Sunset. I don't fully trust Blossom to take care of you in your condition." I turned back to the crowd of cats

Yowls filled the alley and cats were running around, scared.

"I assure you, Eclipse and Rogue will take care for you all. If you choose to leave twolegplace, there is a forest behind Sunset that is free of packs. You will all leave Ravensoul in two days time. I have appreciated this long journey with you and hope you all the best." I leap down from the pile of crates

Honey and Thorn were pacing along the side of the alley.

"Honey! What do I do?" Thorn asked her in a high pitched voice

Honey seemed too stressed to answer so she lied down in frustration.

"I don't know! I don't want to go to a different pack! A-and I don't want to live in a stinking forest! I won't last a night in there!" Honey put her paws on her muzzle

I could tell that everyone did not approve of this idea but I had no other choice. I did not want anyone to die because they want to battle it out in a pointless match.

The alleyway calmed down as most cats decided to leave for a stroll. Probably to cool their minds of this overwhelming news.

The weather became cooler suddenly and a cold wind began to blow. Leaves flew by the entrance as dust swept into the air. A twoleg monster roared by as the sun began to set.

This day was quite fast but at least everyone can get some sleep.

I walk back to my dumpster.

One thing I haven't thought of was where I was headed after this. I was not quite sure where to go, what to do. Everything seemed surprisingly pointless at this stage. I could join Crescentmoon or Sunset but perhaps they would be bothered at how much I have a habit of giving orders. Another choice would be to turn rogue.

I closed my eyes and imagined exploring vast forests farther and farther away from here. Beyond the reaches of twolegplace. One option I had not mentioned to my pack was turning into a housepet. I decided not to tell them because twolegs were not the most reliable when you were previously a battler and had many needs and requirements.

I shut off my train of thought. This was too frustrating. Not only for me but for everyone else. This was sudden for them. They wake up one morning to find that the home you had the night before was gone and you were forced to choose another pack or run into a forest of unknown.

I readjusted my position so I could properly sleep.

Pawsteps paced back into the alleyway. At least everyone is safe. For now at least. This is probably the best I could do for them, knowing the strange dangers from my visions.

I close my eyes to sleep. I hope Wolfspirit doesn't cause troubles when I leave.

Author's Note:

Shade's POV is always quite interesting... Again, the vision from shade in Chapter 2 will soon fall into place! :) This chapter was all about the thoughts going on in everyone's mind. I enjoyed doing this but I still wish there were more parts for a dialogue. :P oh well! Good enough for me! Also, the holidays are coming up! That might mean more chapters! :D I seriously appreciate you guys so much! Stay tuned and R&R!
