This is the last chapter! After I finish this story I will be working on the prequel.

"When will she wake up?" Vanitas asked as he sat on Xion's bed, watching her sleep.

Xemnas shook his head, his arms crossed over his chest. "Couple days at most. By then she will remember everything."

Vanitas smiled slightly. "Good. I get my friend back."

A few silent moments later Xemnas sighed, walking to the door. "You can stay until she wakes up."

"You're trusting me being alone with your daughter?" Vanitas asked incredulously.

"Consider it a gift for protecting her for so long."

Vantias stared at the ground. "She has to be killed again, doesn't she?"

Xemnas sighed once more, not looking at the depressed boy. "In order for a nobody to have a heart, without completing Kingdom Hearts first, is for a keyblade wielder to destroy them. It will take at maximum two years for her to regain a heart."

The Superior left before Vanitas could ask anymore questions.

"Dad still mad you killed me?"

"Whoa!" Vanitas jumped up from the bed as Xion laughed. "How long have you've been awake?"

Xion sat up with a smile on her face. "Since you asked when I'd wake up."

He groaned as he fell back on the bed. "So you heard about you regaining your heart, didn't you?"

Her smiled dropped to a frown. "I heard. But don't worry. I'll still remember you."

"That's not what's got me worried!" Vanitas exclaimed sitting up so he can see her face. "If you get your heart back, the heartless will try to kill you."

"I can take care of myself." Xion argued.

He sighed braking his gaze. "I believe you."

It has been over two years since Xion was killed again and she has yet to regain a heart. The two keyblade wielders, Riku and Sora, have finished taking their Mark of Mastery half a year ago.

But, there is some unfinished business Vanitas had with Xehanort. So there he is now, about to offer a proposal to Xehanort. "What do you want Vanitas?"

"I am here to make a deal."

"And what would that be?"

"I want Xion alive."

Xehanort smirked. "That black-haired female keyblade wielder you-"

"Yes her," Vanitas interrupted him. "I want her alive."

"What's in it for me?" Xehanort asked.

"You get another keyblade wielder on your side."

"What makes you think she'll join?"

"Her and the Organization are looking for Terra's heart." Vanitas argued. "She'll join if it means she gets to see her father again."

Xehanort smiled mischievously at the idea. "Alright then. But she will need a heart."

"I already have that covered."

"Really? You found her a heart that fast?"

"Yes, I did."

Xion opened her eyes to see the ceiling of a bedroom. Wait a minute-she's dead, how can she see unless...

"About time you woke up!" a voice beside her exclaimed. "I've been waiting days for you to wake up!"

"Van!" Xion yelled as she hugged her friend, who was sitting beside her. "How long have I've been alive?"

Van embraced her back before answering. "It's been over two years since Roxas killed you. You regained a heart a couple of weeks ago."

She pulled away from him. Confusion was displayed on her face. "How is that possible? You know as well as I do where my heart is."

"Who said it was your heart?" Vanitas muttered hoping Xion didn't hear him, but she did.

Xion realized what he meant. "Van. . . .you didn't. . ."

"I had to."

"No you didn't!" She shouted. "I can survive a few more weeks without living."

"You can but I can't!"

Xion was hesitant when she asked, "What do you mean you can't?"

"Xion I have waited years just to see you again," Vanitas admitted. "I couldn't wait another day. If it means giving up my heart, I am glad to if it means you get to live."

She smiled kindly and kissed the boys cheek. "Thank you, Vanitas."

"You're welcome." He stood. "You better get ready. The Organization will be leaving soon."

"Where are we going?" She asked as she threw off the covers.

Vanitas smirked from the door. "To convince King Mickey and Yen Sid to give us the Mark of Mastery."
