Let's see. I had to go to a friends wedding this past weekend. Not much else to say. Please enjoy.
Disclaimer: I do not own The Penguins of Madagascar
(The next day)
The next day came and passed rather uneventfully. It helped since it was a Monday and very few people actually visited the zoo on Monday. Before anyone knew it, closing time had come and the food was passed around to the animals. Once Alice had left for the day, everyone could finally start setting things up.
The penguins left the HQ through the fishbowl entrance and stood upon their platform as things were being set up.
"Skippa, what about the night watchman? Won't he see what we're doing?" Private asked Skipper.
Skipper turned to Private with a smile stretched wide across his face.
"Don't you worry about that Private. Kowalski, Rico you guys are up," Skipper said.
Both Rico and Kowalski saluted Skipper and Rico then upchucked a corked vial with blue liquid inside from his stomach.
"Umm... what is that for Skippa?" Private asked.
Kowalski laughed and said, "Just a little something for the night watchman. We'll be back."
Both Rico and Kowalski jumped from the platform and out of the habitat.
Private let out a worried look and said, "Skippa?"
"Don't worry Private. Given how much the guy woks at night, he'll need it."
(Vents above the office)
"Okay easy now Rico. Easy does it," Kowalski said as Rico lowered him down to the desk below.
A hot and steaming cup of coffee was just sitting out in the open on the desk below. The night watchman had just stepped out to use the bathroom which gave the guys plenty of time to get this operation done. Kowalski touched down on the table and waddled over to the cup. He still had the vial in his flippers and was carefully uncorking it. It took a moment but he eventually got it off. It was at this point that a rattling sound was heard from the door.
"Did the door lock again? UGH! I hate this stupid door," came a man's voice from the other side.
Kowalski eyes went wide and he gently poured the solution into the coffee as he heard the man outside getting out his keys.
"C'mon c'mon c'mon c'mon!" Rico shouted from above.
Kowalski began stirring the spoon around to mix the solution with the coffee to make sure it wasn't noticed. There then came the sound of a key entering the lock and it being turned.
"Abort Rico abort. Drop the rope, I'll escape my own way," Kowalski said and Rico obeyed.
Kowalski gathered up the rope and ducked behind a filing cabinet as the door to the office opened and the night watchman walked inside. The man sat at his desk and picked up his cup of coffee. He carefully raised the cup up to his lips and took a small gulp. Kowalski cheered a little inside and it only took a moment for the solution to work and for the watchman to fall to the floor and for the coffee to spill everywhere. As soon as the guy was on the floor, his snores began to resonate from him.
"Have a good sleep," Kowalski said and then he waddled out of the room with the night watchman soundly asleep behind him.
(Otter habitat)
"So Dave are ya ready for the party?" Sam asked as she tried to calm down an overexcited Danny.
"Come on mom. I want to go. Can we go?" Danny was asking while jumping up and down in anticipation.
"Calm down Danny. We'll go in just a minute. Dave are you coming?" Sam said.
Dave took a deep breath and said, "Yeah I'm coming Sam."
Dave, Sam, and Danny then left the cave and entered the zoo. Things were now set up and the other animals wee milling about, conversing and such. Some even had little games going on. There was music playing, couertesy of Julien, and a table with food which was courtesy of everyone else at the zoo. Including the zoo's budget. Multi colored lights were shining everywhere.
"The music is too loud," Danny said while covering his ears.
Dave laughed and patted Danny's little head.
"Well you wanted to come partner. So here ya are," Dave said laughing.
The otters climbed down from the wall and were met by Marlene.
"Hey guys. So what do you think of the party, huh? Does it look grat or what?" Marlene asked.
Sam nodded and said, "Well it looks pretty good so far."
Sam looked down to see Danny squinting and covering his ears from the music.
"Say Marlene can you do me a solid? Can you take Danny somewhere quieter? I don't think he likes the volume of the music," Sam asked Marlene.
Marlene looked down at Danny and could see that he has in a little pain from the music. After all it was Julien's music set to a higher than normal volume and the lights may not have been very good for Danny's eyes.
"Yeah I can do that. Come on Danny, I'll take you over to Becky and Stacy. It's much more peaceful over there," Marlene said and took Danny's little paw.
Marlene walked Danny away from the noise and towards the badger enclosure and away from the noisier parts of the party.
Sam watched them walk away and said, "He'll be fine. Well I'm going to go look for Julien. I need to thank and congratulate him for this."
Sam walked away as Skipper came waddling over towards Dave.
Skipper sighed and said, "Can't believe we had to knock out a guard for one of Ringtail's parties."
"Well Skipper why did you even bother to help then if you don't like his parties?" Dave asked.
"Because we wanted you to have this party Dave. One year anniversary should be something special," Skipper explained to Dave.
Dave nodded and said, "Thank you Skipper. I think this is what I really need."
Skipper smiled and patted Dave's shoulder to ensure him.
"You just go have some fun Dave. I think we've all earned a chance to enjoy ourselves. Speaking of which where is Marlene? I'd probably enjoy myself some more if I were around her," Skipper said to Dave.
Dave pointed over at the badger habitat and Skipper began waddling that way.
(Outside)
Roy walked up to the zoo gate and looked in. It made him a little nervous to see all of the animals out of their habitats like they were now. Sure he had seen them like this during Christmas time last year, but it still felt pretty weird to him. Taking a deep breath, Roy checked the translator in his ear to make sure it was on and took his first steps into the zoo.
(Unknown location)
"Well Danielle tonight is the night," Blowhole said while observing some monitors.
Danielle merely sat in her cage and watched Blowhole view the surroundings that was around Blake who was just now leaving the hotel. Blake had been given a small camera so that his antics could be recorded and even viewed live. Blowhole had every intention to add this video to his personal collection.
"Why do you get kicks out of these things? Why be a bloodthirsty psychopath? You could have done constructive stuff with your smarts," Danielle asked Blowhole.
Blowhole snickered a little bit which then grew into a full blown evil laugh.
"ME? Blowhole? Good and constructive? I don't think so Danielle. Being evil is just too much fun," Blowhole said while still laughing.
Danielle just merely growled at Blowhole who felt like toying around with her some more.
"In fact you don't have to remained cramped up in that little cage. Why not come out here for some... fun," Blowhole said putting emphasis on "fun."
Blowhole opened up the cage and reached in to grab Danielle. Danielle just merely dodged his flipper and tried desperatly to get away from it.
"Hey... hold still," Blowhole said.
"No! Not again! Never again!" Danielle said and grabbed onto Blowhole's flipper.
"Hey! Get off my flipper," Blowhole said and tried to shake Danielle off.
"NO!" Danielle screamed and sank her teeth into Blowhole's flipper.
Blowhole screamed and Danielle released her grip on Blowhole's flipper. She rolled along the ground as she landed and dashed madly for a nearby vent.
"What are you fools doing? Stop her. STOP HER!" Blowhole ordered, but it was too late.
Danielle was too fast as she ran on all fours. She squeezed through the bars on the vent and dashed madly for the outside. She ran and climbed up the vent walls when she had too. It didn't take too long for her to find the exit to the vents and out of the base. She looked around to get her bearings and she quickly realized where she was.
"Coney Island? How original Blowhole," Danielle said rather sarcastically.
She ran to the park exit which happened to be right across from her. She rushed over just as some lobster minions started chasing after her.
"I don't think so losers. I should have done this monthes ago," Danielle said as she climbed to the top of the entrance gate.
She jumped down and ran to the main road. The lobsters couldn't get over or past the gate. They were completley held back. Danielle gave one last mocking glance towards the small lobster army and walked to the main road. She spotted a bus stop that a few other people were standing at. she remained perfectly hidden as a bus pulled up. The sign on the bus read 'Central Park'. As the doors opened, Danielle silently climbed onto the bus completely unnoticed.
As the bus drove off, Danielle took a breath and said, "I should have done this years ago. I'm not leaving my family out in the cold anymore. Don't worry Dave. I'll stop this. Mother's coming."
Danielle has escaped and the party is beginning. So what will happen now as Blake's arrival will be in a short time?
