"ANDERSON! My office. NOW!" bellowed the captain. Detective Anderson looked up from an open file on his desk, rolled his eyes, and stood up. He rubbed his temples and grabbed the case file he was looking at as he made his way to his boss's office. He made it into the office "Yeah?".

"Shut the door will ya?" said the captain. Anderson did as he was told and moved to sit in the chair in front of the huge desk. Paperwork was piled sky high in the little office space. One half closed cases the other still open. The captain of the Peach Creek homicide unit was a portly man of about 45 years of age. His name was Johnny Clifton.

"Status report on the Vincent case?" Johnny plopped down in his office chair.

"As of now, still no leads." he replied.

"What?" his boss sat up.

"Well every lead we've had so far has just been another wild goose chase. This case has us chasing shadows and dead ends. This is unlike anything we've ever seen, cap." He stood up and laid the file on the desk opening it to the face of the deceased. "This was not your average heat of the moment killing either, this was torture. It was slow, deliberate, like the killers were trying to send a message. I mean, look at this!" he shoved a picture from the medical examiner in his boss's face. he picked it up and looked it over. The wrists had ligature marks where he was bound by the barbed wire, face covered in bruises, cigarette burns adorned the abdomen and chest.

Gruesome.

"What this kid went through, what he must have felt…" Anderson began, "It makes you sick to think about it."

"This kid must have made some enem-"

"No, captain, this was too personal. Way to personal."

The captain sighed and nodded. He opened a drawer in his desk and pulled out a juvenile record. He handed it over to his detective. Anderson opened it and came to look at a mugshot the boy about 15 years of age. Long black hair, sharp grey eyes, and a cold blooded stare. "Vladimyr Evan Lewis." said the captain. "He used to be involved with the deceased. they were lovers at one point in time. And when they broke up, Vlad here didn't take it well. Especially when he found out Eddward here was in a relationship with someone else."

"I was aware of this. it makes perfect sense but whenever we try to go after tis kid, nothing makes sense. His alibi checks out and as far as we know he's not involved. But there's something that bothers me. Whenever we first interviewed him, he seemed calm and cool and collected right?" Johnny nodded and motioned for him to continue "I looked into his eyes. It was as if he afraid of something. Like he knows something about it but can't bring himself to talk about it. He's afraid, cap. He's afraid of something."

"Well now its your job to find out why. Talk to the boy's family, friends, enemies. Anyone willing to talk. It'd be nice to give Eddward's sister some good news for once. You're dismissed."

With that, the detective gathered up his files and went back to his own desk. He plopped down in his chair and covered his face with his hand. Meanwhile, his partner had just come in a look of determination on her face. Anderson looked up at her as she was rifling through files looking for a specific one. He held up a file and pointed at her. She looked up and grabbed it and opened it. "You're look of determination has piqued my interest. What's up?" She looked over the file shaking her head. "I need the Vincent file." He handed it up to her and she took it. She pulled out the crime scene photos inside and posted them up on the dry-erase board. She took other photos from the files she carried in and placed them all side by side. The pictures were of other deceased teen boys. When the pictures were put together side by side she turned and looked at her partner.

"See anything?" she asked. He raised an eyebrow at her and looked over all of the pictures. He shook his head and shrugged his shoulders. "Look at their hands, the way they were left. It all goes in the same pattern." she pointed going from left to right "Augustine Vera age:17 Cherry River, Earnest Wade age:17 Lemon Brook, Victor Cordova age:18 Macintosh Stream, Eddward Vincent age:18 Peach Creek. All of these boys were killed around the time that a certain boy and his family were living at the time." She pulled out Vlad's mugshot from his file and pinned it next to the others.

"Vladimyr Evan Lewis: Age 17 Shoplifting, loitering, and minor assault charges that were dropped due to lack of evidence."

"I see what you're getting at, I really do, but this kid didn't kill all of these boys. There's just too much malice behind these murders." he said after awhile. She pointed to each picture her grin growing sly in nature.

"These boys, were all captains of a their respective athletics. Augustine: captain of the soccer team, Earnest: captain of the volleyball team, Victor: captain of the basketball team, and Eddward: captain of the swim team. They were all leaders of their teams. My theory, these boys represented a specific target. One that they could not easily get to themselves, so they decided to take their rage out on the next best thing."

Anderson stared at the board in disbelief. It made sense after his partner discovered the pattern. Each boy tortured and killed the same way, left in a shallow grave. These killings were an act of rage.

"If he didn't do it then what about the possibility of an accomplice? Someone else willing to get their hands dirty?" she pulled out a picture from another juvenile record and pinned it next to Vlad's. The picture was a mugshot of a tall blonde girl, red lips, and blue eyes. He took the file and read her name out loud raising a brow at his partner.

"Nazz Thompson?"

"No no no, from here!" Kevin grunted as Doll punched his gut. "If you don't sing with all the force of your muscles you won't last a minute on that stage." Kevin rubbed his sore stomach and wheezed. He nodded as Doll stood back and motioned for him to try again. She turned the stereo on and Kevin began to sing.

"I'm not clear how it is that I ended up here

Deja vu think of you now so far once so near

Tainting my own reflection on the way down

Fadeaway"

Wham! Another punch to the gut. "From the gut!" Kevin swatted away Doll's hand and stood up.

"Back off, Edd! I'm trying my best here!" he seethed and looked to a dumbfounded Doll. Nat and Jett were doubled over in laughter as Doll giggled hiding her mouth with her hand. Kevin pulled his cap down over his red face and mumbled a half-baked apology. Doll waved him off and turned the stereo off. She stood up and pointed to her diaphragm and took a deep breath.

"Singing and singing well has to come from here. This is your greatest asset to use in singing." she explained.

"Then why punch me there?" he rubbed his gut.

"To make a point. You weren't feeling it in your diaphragm. So I made you feel it." she shrugged putting a blue strand of hair behind her ear. She perked her head up and turned her head in time to catch Jett and Nat having a "twerk" contest. Kevin looked at what Doll was seeing and covered his face with his palm. Nat was "backing that ass up" right onto Doll who laughed and shoved him forward causing the latter to face plant on the living room floor.

"Ya'll are just jealous cuz I can back that ass up and you can't!" he said rubbing his forehead.

"Why would we want to?" asked Doll. Kevin snorted and tried to cover up his snicker behind his hand. Nat just stuck out his tongue and laid back on the living room floor. The rest sat down on various couches and relaxed in a moment of silence before the phone began to ring. Kevin raised a brow and ran to grab the cordless phone from the kitchen. He looked at the caller ID to see the number for Peach Creek police department calling. Eyes widening, he pushed a button and answered the phone firing off a million questions at once.

"Detective! Did you find anything? Got anyone in custody? Anything?" he asked.

"Whoa whoa whoa. Calm down. I was just calling to ask you if you could stop by the station sometime tomorrow? We have a new lead but we want to tie up a few loose ends."

"Uh y-yeah i can do that. I'll be there in the morning."

"Good! We'll see you then. Goodbye.' the line went dead. Kevin pushed the end-call button and shakily put the phone back on the charger. He turned around to find his friends staring at him in anxious anticipation. His green eyes scanned their faces releasing the breath he was holding in. He nodded and moved to sit down at the kitchen table. His friends surrounded him in concern. He looked at them all and then down at the floor, still in shock over what he had just heard.

"They have a new lead. They want me to come down to the station tomorrow morning for more information." he said in disbelief.

"You want us to come with you?" asked Nat. Kevin just shook his head and sat back in his chair.

'I hope this is not just another dead end,' he thought looking at the hopeful faces of his friends 'For our sake. I really hope it's not.'

"Madam Eddwina!" the maid smiled holding a cordless phone in her hand. Eddwina was in her study going over various documents and looking at a tour schedule when her maid burst through the doors. She looked up from her schedule over the rims of her acid green glasses and eyed the maid. She raised a brow and motioned for her to continue. The maid forced the phone into her hands, "Its Detective Anderson." Eddwina's eyes widened as she hastily held the phone to her ear, "Fetch Gltich and Binary. And make it quick!" she waved off the maid and turned her attention to the phone. "Eddwina Vincent speaking. How can I help you, detective?" "Hello, I just wanted to let you know that we found another lead. It's not solid but its' a start!" he said excitedly. Eddwina pulled her glasses off of her face and took in a shaky breath. "Y-you did?!" "Yes. We need you to come in to the station so we can ask you a few more questions, are you able to come in tomorrow morning to the station?"

"I uh-o-of course, yeah! I will definitely be there!" she said and hung up the phone. She stood up from her chair and walked over to the glass french doors of her study. She looked out over the city skyline and noticed as the rain clouds began to disperse and the sun began to shine. It shone in throughout the glass panes and warmed her face and kissed her bare feet. For the first time, in a very long while, she felt a moment of peace. Maybe this time they'll find the people who destroyed her heart by taking the only thing she ever truly cared for in this world. Binary and Glitch came into the office noticing their leader standing by the french doors. They looked to one another before they sat down. Eddwina felt their presences and closed her eyes before she spoke.

"No words can describe the anguish a sister goes through after losing her baby brother. Siblings have a bond like no other. In my case, they were just a little stronger. I raised my little brother on my own from the time hew was born until the time came to where he could care for himself. I watched him grow from an awkward child into a strong minded teenager. He was witty, charming, intelligent, cunning, and everything else in between. I was never a prouder person than I was when I watched him succeed in his studies." she turned to face the two walking to her desk and pulling a black picture album from the top drawer.

"These are all I have left of him. Photographic evidence to prove he was here. That I'm not crazy. Sometimes, I almost forget what he looked like, the way he laughed…I continue to play music because it makes me feel closer to him in a way. Just like it used to be. Detective anderson has called and made arrangements for me to be at the place station tomorrow morning. He has a new lead and needs to question me a bit further. And if this goes anywhere, it may lead us to who is responsible for taking my only brother away from me. My loves," they looked to her her a stern look in their eyes "If they find out and we get our justice, we will put Operation: Permanent Shut-Down Tour into action."

The men looked at her incredulously but nodded their heads. they know how important it was for her to do this. "And if they don't?" asked Glitch. Eddwina put the album away and walked over to a glass case. In it was her famous gas mask on a model head. "Then, my dears, Virusine continues on. And the shut-down takes a back seat. Go and rest, my loves. We have much to do in the morning." She kissed them each on their cheeks and dismissed them. As soon as they left, she clutched onto her dog tags for dear life. She smiled to herself and walked out of the study to her room.

'There's hope, otouto. I have hope again.' and with that, she went to her room to prepare for the day to come. Little did she know, a certain someone was smiling his gap toothed smile at her retreating form. 'Onee-chan.'
