Ironhide went to attack Starscream, but Sentinel got in the way.
"They have come seeking help. I will not turn them away." Sentinel spoke in the ex-Mountain Pack's favor.
Op came out slowly, supporting Solus. Arcee stood on his other side.
"Optimus would give them a chance if he had his memories back." Arcee added.
Ratchet took Barricade down from Blackout's back. The black wolf looked on worriedly for the pup as Ratchet and Red Alert worked to fix his injuries.
'Welcome to the pack boys. Don't make me regret this." Arcee warned.
Knockout and Starscream nodded while Soundwave sat with Blackout and watched the pup's progress. Solus had Op lay her near the pup, offering words of comfort to his pain. Barricade looked at her gratefully, falling asleep. Solus offered to watch over him while the pack worked. They left him in her care as they laid down for the night.
Optimus and Bee
The little group came upon a scary looking cave on their second day of travel. As Optimus passed by, an old voice called out his name.
"Optimus." The voice called again.
The young alpha led his team into the cave, the darkness taking a moment to set in. In the very back off the cave, an old white wolf drank from a stream of water that ran through.
"Optimus, you took long enough." The white wolf greeted.
"Alpha Trion." Optimus said in shock.
"Told you he was old." Bee whispered humorously.
Alpha Trion laughed at Bee's remark, making the pup put his ear back in embarrassment.
"I have good ears in my old age." Alpha Trion joked.
"Sir, can you restore my memory?" Optimus asked politely and hopefully.
"Restore memory, heal the sick, counsel problems, I can do it all. All I ask in return is to be an elder in your pack."
"Of course." Optimus promised.
Alpha Trion stepped forward and placed a paw on Optimus' head. All of his memories came back in order.
Flashback
Optimus played in the woods away from his pack. The pup didn't recognize the two humans that found him and allowed one to pick him up. When they tried to force him into a cage with a shotgun, he ran away from them. Once he stopped, he noticed he was lost. He laid next to a creek, startled when a purple wolf came up to him.
"Where is your pack, young one?" The purple wolf asked.
Optimus only whimpered.
"I'm Shockwave, alpha of the Mountain Pack. You can live with us."
Shockwave carried him to his pack, setting him down next to a grey pup.
"This is Megatron. He will be your new brother."
Flashback
Optimus was nearly fully grown when he learned he didn't belong there. He wanted to find his real family, but Shockwave forbid it. Optimus decided to sneak away. But once he got to the trees, Shockwave caught him. Optimus fought against him, giving him really nasty scars on his face and even taking an eye out.
"Optimus!" Shockwave howled after him.
Optimus saw the hurt look in Megatron's face as he went to his father figure's side. Instead of staying where he wouldn't be wanted anymore, he ran.
Flashback
Optimus met Ratchet and Ironhide as he became fully grown. They took him in and saw what a natural leader he was. After recruiting Arcee, Bulkhead, and the twins; Optimus became the alpha. He fell in love with Arcee, and mated with her during her first heat. Most of their litter didn't make it, but one pup survived.
"Optimus, he's so adorable. What should we name him?" Arcee asked her new mate.
"He's mostly yellow with some black. How about Bumblebee?" Optimus suggested.
"It's perfect."
Flashback
Optimus watched as Bee chased a butterfly. Arcee walked beside him while the rest of the pack followed close behind.
"He's so playful and full of energy." Arcee stated with pride.
"That he is." Optimus replied affectionately.
Startled by a loud noise ahead, Optimus saw that Bee had ventured too close to the mountains and a brown wolf was pushing a large rock above him. Optimus rushed to his rescue as Ironhide chased the wolf. The rock landed on Optimus as soon as he pushed Bee away, knocking him out.
End Flashbacks
Optimus blinked as his former self was restored. He glanced at Bee in wonder.
"You're my son." The young alpha breathed.
"I was really young when the accident happened. Mom told me never to mention it."
"It was no accident, son. Bonecrusher pushed that rock. It would have killed you if I hadn't have moved you. I don't regret my decision."
"Optimus, can we go home now?" Raf asked.
"Optimus needs to rejoin his pack." Alpha Trion told him. "His pack is in danger from Megatron."
"We need to go now." Bee urged.
Miko, Raf, and Jack joined them and Optimus realised who Jack reminded him of. Him as he was now. The slightly larger team left the cave and were once again stopped by Fowler.
"You have another wolf? And what were you doing in a cave?" Fowler questioned.
"We have to go now, so if you'll excuse us." Miko said as she pushed by him.
Before Fowler could respond, a shot rang through the air.
"Hunters." Raf softly acknowledged.
Fowler got in their way again, this time with a request.
"I'm an expert with wolves and a cop. I can help you with the humans." Fowler indirectly begged to join.
"Alright, but stay close." Optimus told him.
Fowler fell in step with the others, unable to not ask questions.
"How long have the wolves been able to talk?"
