New chapter is up enjoy!
Finally! Im healed and you know what that means: I get my weapons back, Im not longer confined to base,and best of all I can start driving again! Also, I can start going on missions with everyone again. Im not even going to say what I hate, as Im sure you already have an idea, but heres a hint they caused my injuries.
Im currently in the med bay sitting on a berth while Ratchet onlines my weapons. I look at him and say," Thanks for giving me my weapons back." He shakes his head and says,'' Personally I would rather of kept you off duty for at least another day or two, but since you were so persistant." " I couldnt take being confined to base any longer. I am more than ready to get out for a while." I reply. " Just dont push yourself too hard. I dont want to have to fix you again." He says. I roll my eyes and say," Oh whatever. You live for this." He lets out a small smile and replies," yeah yeah yeah."
Once my weapons were online I walked back towards the main room. Once I get there I hear an annoying voice yell out," Prime! Prime!" We walk up to the screen and Optimus says," Special Agent Fowler to what do we owe..." He is interrupted by Fowler saying," What else...cons. I chased them off with some hard ordinates but not before they blew me out of the sky." Miko giggles and says," Again?" " They tried to smash and grab for the D.I.N.G.U.S." Fowler explains.
Arcee looks confused and asks," The whatsit?" " Dynamic Nucleur Generation System. a.k.a D.I.N.G.U.S." Fowler answers. ( Wouldnt that be DNGS?). " It's a prototype energy source Im transporting to the coast for testing." Ratchet shakes his head and says," Thats absurd. Why would Starscream bother with such primitive technology?" " Im guessing to make a big fat primitive weapon of mass destruction. If this baby were to melt down it would radiate this state and the four next door." Fowler replies. " Uh did Agent Fowler say what state he was currently in?" Raf asks.
" Im a sitting duck here Prime," says Fowler," I need you to spin up your bridge and send the DINGUS to its destination before the cons come back for it." Optimus then says," Im afraid that sending such a volitile device through the groundbridge is out of the question. If there were to be an accident during its transmition the radiation of which you speak could propogate through the groundbridge vortex and harm all fifty states, and beyond."
" You got any better ideas?" Fowler asks. Optimus suggests that the autobots help to deliver the device. Optimus would carry it in his trailer and the rest of us would provide security. Ratchet suggested that I stayed behind, but I quickly argued with that. I was not about to miss out on an opportunity to get out and help the others. After the ok from Optimus I was allowed to help.
Ratchet sends us through the groundbridge to Fowlers coordinates. Once there the device is put in Optimus's trailer and we transform to vehicle mode and get ready to leave. Fowler climbs into Optimus and we're ready to go. Optimus starts up his engines so we take that as our cue to follow. " Autobots roll out." Optimus commands. With that he starts driving with us following.
We drive for a little while with Ratchet tracking our coordinates. Suddenly we slow down tremendously when we get stuck behind a slow driver. Theres a thing you need to know about Ferraris...they are made for speed. So going this slow was working on my nerves and I was very tempted to pass. Then I hear Optimus' honking his horn at the driver. " Are you that impatient Optimus?" I ask him. He quickly replies saying," That was Agent Fowlers doing...though it was completely unnecessary."
The old driver must have gotten the message and turns off the road to get out of the way. Bumblebee passes to drive in front of Optimus while I remain behind him and Bulkhead stays behind me. Suddenly I hear the sound of helicopter and radio Bulkhead saying," Bulk theres a copter on our tail. Do you think its friend or foe?" " Not sure, but I'll radio Optimus just to be safe." He replies," Watch your rearveiws." Then we hear car engines and Bulkhead says," Now we have vehicles on our tails. Careful Storm." " Will do." I reply.
They crowd around Bulkhead who says," I'm feeling a little constricted without the use of my fists here boss." " Remain in vehicular mode unless absolutly necessary." Optimus commands. Then some of the cars go past Bulkhead and start crowding me," Whats up with these guys." I ask. One then zooms past us until its beside Optimus. " These guys are starting to get on my nerves." I say. " Do not engage Solarstorm. Remain in vehicular mode." Optimus quickly commands.
Suddenly I see a human with a gun pop out of the sunroof of the car beside Optimus. " Our assalints are not decepticons...they are human." Optimus informs. " Oh please taking on our bots...their roadkill." I hear Miko say. The human beside Optimus tries to shoot his weapon until Optimus rams into the car throwing off his aim. " Autobots maintain your cover and apply minimal force for disarmment only." Optimus tells us. Another car drives on the other side of Optimus and rearends Bumblebee.
I see he goes to shoot but I quickly drive up behind him and ram him causing him to loose control of the car. He proceeds to spin to side of the road, hits a good size rock, and flips over. We quickly come upon a very curvy part of the road and have to screech our tires to keep from going off the road. I keep my spot beside Optimus just incase more come on this side.
I notice a human in the space between Optimus' trailer and his vehical mode. It looks like hes trying to seperate the trailer and I yell," Optimus you have a passenger." " Prime veer right." Fowler adds. Optimus does as asked and hits the car beside him causing it to go over the cliff onto a level not far below. However, the human was still on Optimus. " Agent Fowler he's still there." I yell through the link.
" Gotcha," he says and climbs out of Optimus and onto the spot where the human is. Fowler grabs him and holds him over the road. " Your gonna tell me everything I wanna know..." Fowler starts only to have the guy fly out of his hand. Apparently he held him out too far and the tree got ahold of him. ( It was a good try Agent Fowler). Fowler climbs back into Optimus and gets a message over the radio, that we all hear.
" I hope you take better care of the DINGUS than you do your captives." A male voice says. " Special Agent William Fowler here. Identify yourself." Fowler yells into the radio. " I am Silas, but of greater consequence to you...we are MECH." Mech? whats that supposed to be? " Fair warning we will be helping ourselves to your device even if it means inflicting causilities." Silas continues. Fowler quickly replies," Is that so. Tell me Si whats the market price for a DINGUS these days?"
" What makes you think we intend to sell it Agent Fowler? Theres a war brewing between the new world order and the newest. The victor will be the side arm with the most inovative technology." You'd swear he was talking to a decepticon if it wasnt for the fact that he was human. I look in my rearveiw to see them still surrounding Bulkhead. " How are you holding up Bulk?" I ask him. He replies with,'' I'd be better if I could pound these guys with my fists."
One of the cars drives close behind Optimus and shoots at his trailer. He shoots what look like three prongs that attach to his trailer. Then they give off an electrical pulse that unlocks the door. The door slowly opens and the human begins crawling out of the sunroof planning on getting inside the trailer. " Optimus watch your rear. They have the door open." " Duelly noted." he replies.
'' So Si you think MECH has all the most radical tech?" Fowler says to him. The human behind Optimus gets on the hood of the car and just before he can jump inside the trailer Arcee drives off hiting the car causing the human to go flying off. This causes the car to flip and then the one behind it to flip as well, leaving only one left. " Later Si." Fowler finishes. Optimus quickly repreminds him saying," Agent Fowler. Do not take your Silas lightly. Megatron preached the very same ideology before plunging Cybertron into the great war that destroyed our world."
Ratchets voice then comes through the link saying," Optimus prepare to inishiate phase two. Five miles ahead to the south you will reach the rondevous point." After driving that five miles Fowler says," Theres our rendevous point." " Autobots keep a tight formation." Optimus commands. Arcee then swerves and drives off the road and lands on the ground beside the train. We quickly follow. We continue driving underneath the tunnel.
Bulkhead then transforms at fires at the enterance until its blocked so the MECH cant get in." Excellent idea Bulkhead." I comment. He transforms back and says," I have one every once in while." While inside and MECH detained we do the switch of the DINGUS from Optimus' trailer to the train. Smart move on our part. Once Bumblebee makes the switch we continue down the tunnel and make our way out the other end where MECH meets us. " Optimus you have company." Ratchet says.
We look through our mirrors to see decepticon seekers flying towards us. They start shooting us which causes Optimus to loose his trailer, not that it matters but they dont know that. The cons missles hit the trailer causing it to blow up. We drive off the road onto an open area where the cons meet us. They transform and land in front of us. " Agent Fowler. Im afraid that you and we are to survive it has become absolutely necessary to drop our cover." Optimus says. He then transforms with Fowler landing in his hand. Fowler doesnt however, look like he enjoyed the sudden transformation very much.
We quickly transform after him. Optimus then places Fowler on a rock above his head and says," Remain here." Fowler doesnt look like he minds and says," Will do." Bulkhead walks forward saying," After a long roadtrip it feels good to get out of the car, stretch my legs, and kick some tailpipe." We then charge at the cons with our weapons ready. Theres enough for us to have a few each which proves to be no problem. I run at mine and punch him in the face and then jump in the air and kick him in the side of the head.
When he gets back up I run at him again, grab him by the shoulders, and proceed to flip over him bringing him with me causing him to slam into the ground. Then I activate the blade in my arm and stab him in the chest offlining him. The next one catches me by surprise and punches me in the back causing me to fall, but I quickly jump back up and stab him in the same place as the last. Suddenly I hear Optimus yell," I understand." Then one of the cons take a tree and hit him with it causing him to fall off the side of the cliff. ''Optimus!" I yell.
I run to the edge and see him laying at the bottom. " Prime do you read me? Prime!" Fowler yells into the radio. He turns to me and says," Mam Prime is'nt responding." I turn to him and say," Dont worry I'll get down to him." With that I start working my way down to Optimus, but being careful not to slip. Once I reach him I start nudging him saying," Optimus Optimus. Wake up. Come on." I feel him stir and groan as he opens his optics."
" Come on Optimus wake up. We need to get to that train. MECHs going to steal the DINGUS." I say trying to get him fully awake. " Im up Solarstorm. Come on lets catch that train." He replies. We make our way to the ground beside the train and transform and start driving making our way to the train. The helicopter Silas is in must have seen us coming because it takes off.
We then see a missle come out of the helicopter hitting the train track up ahead. Ratchet then tells Optimus," Optimus Jack and Miko are on that train and MECH has blown the tracks." " Im on my way," he replies," Solarstorm maximum overdrive the speed. Jack and Miko are on that train and the tracks are blown." That was all the encouragment I needed as I go even faster in hopes of reaching the train quicker.
We make our way past the compartment with the kids. I quickly yell," We're going to stop the train. Hold on." Optimus and I then transform and grab the front of the train and start pulling back on it to get it to stop. After a few seconds we slow it down to a stop before it hits the hole in the ground. We let go and I immediatly run to the kids. I kneel down and say," Thank the allspark your alright. What are you even doing on this train! Why would you put yourself in danger like that!"
" Its like you dont know me at all." Miko says jokingly. " This is no time for jokes Miko. Both of you could have gotten seriously injured or worse." I say with an edge in my voice. Jack looks at me and says," We're sorry Storm. We intended to get bridged back but MECH caused Raf to lose our coordinates so we couldnt. We didnt mean to worry anyone." I lose the glare and in a softer tone say," Its okay. Im not mad I was just scared something was going to happen to you."
Optimus puts his hand on my shoulder and says," You have a right to be worried Storm, but remember they are just children." I sigh and say," your right...as always." " Optimus is everyone..intact?" Ratchet asks. Optimus looks to the kids and says," intact Ratchet. Crises averted but the world in which we live is a different one than previously imagined. One which has spawned its own decepticons. In human skin."
" What are we going to do about this Silas character?" I ask Optimus. He looks at me and says," For now we will simply monitor their activites until we are for certain about their motives...Now lets head back to base." I look back down to the kids and say," All right you two lets go." I then transform back into alt mode and they climb in. Optimus transforms soon after and says," Solarstorm head back to base while I transport the device to its destination." " Yes sir," I reply," Ratchet I need a bridge."
A groundbridge appears soon after and I drive on through. During that time Miko says," Have I mentioned before how hot your alt mode is?" I chuckle and say,'' Yes, but you can always stand to mention it again." Once we get to base I transform and see Bulkhead, Arcee, and Bumblebee already here. Bulkhead walks up to me and says," What happened to you?" I shrug and reply,
I had to catch a train." " You totally missed us thrashing the cons into scrap." He says excited.
I smile and say," I bet it was a site to see." " Uh Storm?" I hear Miko say. I kneel down and say," Yes?" " We're sorry for making you worry today. We forget how much more you worry than the others." I then answer softly," Its alright. I shouldnt of yelled at you. I guess we were both at fault today." " Yeah, so does this mean I can still be your appointed little sister?" she asks hopefully. " Who said you ever stopped." I reply with a smile. She then runs up to my hand a hugs it as best she can.
I turn to Bulkhead and say," Hey Bulk why dont you tell me and Miko all about your con crushing today?" He smiles and says,'' You bet. So there we were..." Miko jumps into my hand while she listens to Bulkheads story with much vigor. I cant help but watch her facial expressions as she listens. She really does love hearing his stories. I then look up at Bulkhead and watch him. Just by the way he looks at Miko she is his little buddy, he even told me that himself.
As I was listening to him I couldnt help but notice how charming he looked when he smiled. He may seem big and bad, but he's really just a huge teddy bear as the humans say. I know I shouldnt be angry at Miko after all she's always doing this kind of thing. I guess I was just upset because she dragged Jack with her. The more I think of it the more she reminds me of Cliffjumper. He too was also reckless from time to time. I suppose thats why I feel so protective of her more than the others, because she does remind me so much of my late brother.
I know that if Cliff was here he would love her. She has that tendency to make you like her, even if she gets on your nerves. I hope your watching Cliff, because it seems I've been blessed with another sibling. She wont ever replace him, but she can fill in that space...at least a little.
Well theres the end. I hope the ending didnt sound lame. Miko reminds her so much of Cliffjumper that she cant help but feel more protective of her, so these two are gonna be each others selfappointed sisters.
