Chapter 10: Greetings Again Sorry this took so long, but Fanfiction wasn't letting me upload any new chapters. The Lily and Severus thing: I wanted to see how it went because at the end of seventh movie I thought it was really sweet that he'd loved her all along, but it might change I don't know yet. Until the next chapter, please review and enjoy! Harry woke up the morning after Halloween and smiled. Halloween had been a better experience than he thought it would be and he got his mum back. He walked out of his trunk, after he had dressed for the day, and locked it. "Shrink," he said and put it in his pocket. He walked down to the common room and over to the fireplace. The rules for Hogwarts wouldn't let the students floo anywhere, but if he worked it right, he could talk to Sirius. He took some floo powder from his pocket that Sirius recommended he kept on him and said, "Potter Manor." Sirius's head appeared and said,"Hey, pup." "Siri, I have amazing news," he said, trying not to jump up and down. "What?" "I brought her back," he replied. "Who back, Harry?" "Mum, I brought her back last night. She's alive, Sirius, and she loves me." "Of course, she loves you, pup. How about me, Remus, and Gabby meet you in the Great Hall after breakfast? It's Saturday, after all and Dumbledore shouldn't mind too much." "Okay, Siri, I'll see you then. I have to get downstairs so I can eat something." Sirius disappeared and he walked downstairs to the Great Hall. He ate with his classmates and waited for Ginny and Rigel after breakfast. They met him outside the Great Hall where he was waiting. Rigel nodded to him and Ginny hugged him. "How did it go?" she asked. "Great, I had to leave soon after we went to Dumbledore's office, but Siri, Remus, and Gabby are coming to see my mum soon." "Hey, pup, sorry it took so long. I don't think Dumbledore liked seeing your mum last night." Harry laughed and said, "I know he didn't." Minny walked out of the Great Hall and smiled. "Hello, Remus, Sirius, Gabby, what are you guys doing here?" "She doesn't know yet," Harry said. Sirius nodded and said, "Why don't we show you, Minny?" She nodded and they followed Harry down to the dungeons. "Why are we going down here, Harry?" Remus asked. "Oh, um, long story on that question. Probably better if she explains," he said and kept walking. He stopped at Professor Snape's office and knocked. "Who's there?" he called. "Me and some friends, Professor." Snape opened the door and said, "Hello, Harry, Ms. Weasley, Mr. Black. Please, come in. Minevra, Black, Lupin, Mrs. Black, please follow them." Harry smiled at him and said, "Thanks, is my mum awake?" "Yeah, she's in the back, Harry," he said with a small smile. Everyone was looking at them in shock, except Ginny. Ginny grabbed his hand and followed him inside to see his mum. "Hey, mum," he said as he walked into the living room. "Harry," she said and hugged him. "Hello, Ginny." "Hi," she said. "You can call me 'Lily', Ginny." She smiled and nodded. "Hey, Sev, did Harry bring some friends?" Severus walked in with Gabby, Remus, Sirius, Minny, and Rigel following. "Ah, he did," she said as everyone gaped at her. "Hello, Sirius, Remus, Minevra, and Gabriella, I didn't expect to see you." "A pleasure to see you too, Lily," she replied and hugged the other woman. "You too, Gabby." She let go and walked back to Sirius's side. "Ah, you two finally got married," she said. Sirius laughed and said, "Never miss a thing, do you, Lils?" "Nope, but I never thought I'd see the great Sirius Black get married." "Yeah, but, Lils, I finally found a woman that could keep up with me." She laughed and said, "Very true, Siri. Hey, Remmy." "Lils," he said. "You look great." "Thanks, how have you been?" "I've been okay, mostly helping Sirius with Harry." "Thank you for that, I don't know what I would have done if something had happened to him." Sev walked over to her and said, "You wouldn't be here." She nodded and he held her hand. "Hi, Minny." "Hello, Lily, this young man is Rigel. He's Regulus's son." "Hello, Rigel, it's nice to meet you." Rigel smiled and Severus looked around. "Why don't we all take a seat?" Lily asked. Everyone nodded and gathered around the couches and chairs. Lily, Sev, Harry, and Ginny sat on a couch. Minny, Sirius, Gabby, Remus, and Rigel sat down in the chairs. "Well, does anyone want to explain to me what happened?" Minny asked. "It's a long story, Minny, but if you want I'll explain my part after Harry explains his," she said and looked at her son. He sighed and said, "Well, it started last night. I began to get a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach, but I had remembered an old saying how Ole Hallows Eve is when the veil between souls is the weakest. I accioed Voldemort's wand and did the spell to show a past spell, Priori Incantatem, and put my mum's soul in a vial. I went Professor Snape, because I knew he knew where my mum was, and he said he'd take me to help her after the feast." He took a deep breath and continued. "Well, that bad feeling was right and fighting the mountain troll was easy with Rigel and Ginny's help. I came here after everyone left and Sev took me to me to see my mum." He cut himself off and said, "Sorry, Professor." "It's okay, Harry, if you want, as long as it's not in class, you may call me that." Harry smiled and nodded. "Okay, after that, I brought her back and well, the next part is funny and I think everyone would like to see the memory rather than hear about it, so why don't we all go into my trunk and we can all see it?" Everyone nodded and he took his trunk out of his pocket. "Grow," he said after he sat down. "Open." Everyone followed inside and to the library. He opened the pensive and took the memory from his mind. He put in the pensive and said, "Well, here it goes." Everyone plunged into it and saw Harry and Severus standing in Dumbledore's office. The memory played through and by the time everyone stepped out of the pensive, Sirius, Remus, Rigel, and Ginny were doubled over in laughter. Harry was grinning, Lily was smiling, and Severus was trying to suppress a smile. Minny was the funniest out of all of them. Her face was somewhere between laughter and shock. "Lily, you do realize you just threatened the most powerful wizard in the world?" she asked. "Um, actually, Minny, I do believe that title belongs to someone else and Dumbledore was swell enough to admit it if you watched that memory closely at the end." "Who?" "Me, Minny," Harry said. "There is no way you are more powerful than Dumbledore." "Tell me something Dumbledore can do that you think I can't." "He can disapparate and apparate in Hogwarts." He smiled and said, "Well, that's an easy one. I thought you were going to say something slightly more difficult, but okay." He closed his eyes and disapparated. He reappeared about ten minutes later with chocolate from Honeydukes. "Is that proof enough, Minny?" She was looking at him in shock, but so were Rigel, Ginny, Sirius, and Remus. Lily was just smiling at him proudly. "Good job, Harry." He smiled at her and said, "Thanks, mum." She smiled back at him and said, "Alright, enough showing off. If no one has a problem with it, I would like to spend the day with my son. Ginny, you can come along too. We'll have to go ask Professor Dumbledore for permission to take you off the grounds, but I don't see why that should be a problem." He grinned evilly and said, "Oh, no, mum, this shouldn't be a problem at all." "Well, let's go," she said and turned to Sev. "I'll see you later, Sev. Meet you back in your rooms or at dinner?" "Dinner will be fine, Lily," he replied and she kissed him lightly before leading Harry and Ginny out of the trunk. Everyone else followed until they were standing in the living room again. Harry put the trunk in his pocket after making it shrink. "Let's go, mum." She looked at him and saw how impatient he was. "Alright, sweetheart, let's go. Ginny, come on, I'm sure Dumbledore won't mind if we bring you along." She nodded and walked next to Harry as they walked up to Dumbledore's office. They walked up the stairs and knocked on the door. "Please, come in." "Hello, Dumbledore, I was going to ask you if you minded if I took Harry and Ginny out for the day, so I could spend some time with my son." "Of course not, Lily," he replied. "Awesome," Harry said and asked, "Can we go now, mum?" "Of course, sweetheart, where are we going?" "Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade?" "Let's go to Hogsmeade, I fancy Madame Rosmerta's hospitality." "Okay, mum." They both grabbed on to his arms and he disapparated right in front of Dumbledore's eyes.
