Alright everyone, this is my actual revival chapter for For a Friend. It is a bit different from the other chapters because it is in Edd's point of view! I hope it isn't a very drastic change. I will leave you now. Tootles!
Edd touched his forehead. He leaned up against the wall of his bedroom. He was wearing a baggy T-shirt because it was the weekend. His shorts hung low at his calves. The hall light was still on. Edd looked at the carpeted floor beneath the door and saw a shadow. But he was alone…there was no way anyone was here. He had taken Marie home earlier and he locked the front door just after coming inside. His heart beat picked up. He moved slowly towards the door. The creaking of the floor on the other side only increased his panic. He swallowed hard and opened the door. Nothing.
Edd moved down the stairs to check if the front door was still locked. It was. He sighed angrily and moved back up to his room. What a stupid thought. As if he couldn't kick some intruder's ass. He opened his bedroom door and slammed it closed.
"There you are, Edd."
The bully looked up to see Kevin in nothing but a green T-shirt that was a tad too big for him and a pair of boxers. He was sitting on his bed. The creamy sheets poured around his pale freckled skin. Edd's body immediately heated up. Kevin looked into his eyes and smiled brightly.
It took a bit for Edd to regain his composure. "Pumpkin…what the hell are you doing here?"
"I was just calling your bluff." He said standing up. "You said the next time I was at your house…" He stopped and looked up at the bully once he was inches away from touching him.
"I wasn't bluffing." Edd said with a smirk on his face. He shoved Kevin back onto the bed. In two seconds flat, Edd was on top of him. The nerd was completely immobilized. Edd hung onto Kevin's wrists with one hand while his other explored the nerd's body.
The bully's hand traveled to Kevin's nipple after successfully lifting up his shirt. He teased it with his fingers, coaxing a small moan from the nerd. Edd put his mouth to Kevin's neck and bit softly licking the bite marks as he made them. His hand drifted lower to the nerd's navel. Then lower.
The nerd struggled beneath his weight. Edd released his hands, suddenly trusting that he wouldn't run. Kevin moved his freed hands up toward Edd and grabbed his shoulders. He pulled himself up and kissed the bully. Edd flushed. Looking down at the nerd, he put his hands on either side of Kevin's head. He kissed Kevin. The nerd grabbed at the bully's face and got his hands tangled up in his long hair. The bully's hat fell onto the bed beside Kevin. Edd's lips moved slowly and gently over Kevin's. He could feel the nerd beneath him relaxing, getting comfortable.
Their lips stopped moving and they had to stop for a quick breathing session. Edd once again looked down at Kevin, seeing that he was once again blushing profusely. The bully kissed Kevin on the forehead and…
Edd woke up when he fell to the floor that morning. It was cold; everything was cold, except himself. He lifted himself up and sat on the corner of his bed. He sunk to rest his elbows on his knees…mostly because he was so out of it. It was a dream, just a dream. Edd didn't know if he should be glad or not. Damn, he was so turned on right now it made him sick to his stomach. He gritted his teeth and started to get up. He glanced at the clock by his bed. He woke up way too early. It was almost four in the morning.
It was straight to the shower after that. He stepped in and let the cold water wash over him. He shivered underneath the head. He sighed and got out after a few minutes. What was he going to do now?
Edd was dressed in his usual get up: black skinny jeans and a red t-shirt. He sat on the couch and rubbed his temple. He was tired and angry, a horrible way to start the day. Then a thought struck him. The sight of Pumpkin's bright smile from his dream was oddly comforting. Edd then remembered the unfortunate truth that was his current relationship with Kevin. He sighed again.
Edd went out for an early morning walk. He wasn't going to go see if Kevin was awake yet…okay that was a lie. He walked up the street and noticed the light of Kevin's room was on. He was sitting in his bed reading, like the freaking nerd he was. He couldn't get a good look at the nerd's face from where he was standing. He walked across the street and sat outside the window. This wasn't creepy at all, he told himself. Edd watched Kevin turn the pages of this weird looking novel. His eye lashes fluttered as he blinked. Edd yawned; he didn't think he was this tired. He knocked on Kevin's window and tried to be patient as the nerd struggled to open it.
"What are you doing here Edd?" Kevin asked. His voice was calming to the bully, he wouldn't ever tell him that though. The thought of telling Kevin anything positive made his skin crawl. That wasn't necessarily a good thing either.
"Uh…I was just walking around." The bully managed to say as Kevin shut the window.
Kevin walked back to his bed and sat down. The nerd grabbed the novel and marked his place with a strip of paper. "So you were walking around at four in the morning? Sounds eventful…" He was being sarcastic.
"Yeah, well…I actually woke up really early today. I didn't feel like being cooped up in the house." Edd sat backward on the chair by Kevin's desk. "Why are you awake anyway?"
"I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to read a book Nazz lent me." Kevin said calmly. It might have been that he was just tired but the nerd seemed oddly comfortable around him right now. Edd was also kind of jealous that he and Nazz were such close friends. It didn't seem like there was any romantic relationship between them…but Edd still worried. Worried? God, this isn't some drama on TV. Why was he getting so worked up over something like this?
Kevin yawned and Edd stopped internally quarreling with himself.
"Oh, I talked to my buddies after I dropped off Marie. They said that they really liked having you there. Plank didn't say anything negative; well…he doesn't really ever say anything but I think that is a good thing either way." Edd could sense that he was losing his cool. "I-I'll just shut up now."
"It's okay. Can you tell them that I like them too? Whenever you are up there next, I mean." Kevin said as he leaned back against the wall. He looked like he was about to pass out. "Hey Edd…could you turn off the light for me? I think I'm gonna drop soon."
"O-okay." The bully rose from the chair and walked to the door turning off the light.
"Thanks. You can stay here until I leave for school…I don't mind." Kevin grabbed for the blanket at his ankles and covered himself up to his knees. His head fell back and rested against the wall. He smiled at Edd before closing his eyes.
After a few minutes Edd walked up to Kevin's bed and took off his glasses. He put them on the night stand by the bed. He got caught up staring at his freckled face. He remembered the sound of his kisses on the nerd's skin from his dream. He remembered licking the freckled skin beneath him. The taste was in his mouth as he stood there staring at the boy that had nonchalantly crept into every crevice of his mind. He closed his eyes and breathed, trying to calm himself down. Edd had to get out of here. This place was bad for him. His thoughts were overcoming him. The self-control needed to not tackle the nerd in his current state was monumental.
Edd walked out of Kevin's room and closed the door. He walked out of the house making sure to close the door quietly. He walked down the front path and headed home. He only made it half way though. He sat on a park bench and relaxed for a moment. Marie was totally right about him. Why did he have to like that stupid dorky kid anyway? Edd reached for his head. He touched his hat and then was once again brought back to the dream. Kevin's hand tangled in Edd's hair was oddly satisfying. And when they were kissing…something he was too chicken to do…it was great, amazing even. Edd tried to ignore the pounding in his chest and head. God, why did he have such a bad headache right now?
The bully let his head fall back and he smelled the air around him. It was nice; the scent of pine overwhelming his nose. He could feel the breeze against his skin. The sun wouldn't be up for a bit so it was going to be cold out. Now that Edd was calm he thought that it was time to run home. He wondered if he should skip school today. He wasn't in the mood to deal with bitchy teachers trying to tell him how to act.
He decided against not going to school. The thought of owing teachers work made him groan. Edd walked to school that morning. He didn't feel like driving anywhere today. He walked with his hands in his pockets the entire way there. The cold air kept him awake but didn't do anything for his headache. Why was he cursed like this? He could really go for some Gummy Bears right now…a Coke too. The Gummy Bears…he remembered throwing a ton of them out the window at Kevin. He had said that he didn't know why he had done it but it was very apparent now. Kevin was just standing there, and that look on his face made Edd feel so guilty for doing that to him. He didn't know how to make it better so he thought the Gummy Bears would make it better. Apparently Kevin didn't get it, who would? It was a crazy idea.
Edd walked up the stairs of the school and found Johnny and Jimmy waiting for him. They weren't the best of friends but they were definitely some interesting people to talk to. Plus they came from the same town so they knew each other. If Edd didn't have the two of them High School would be dull as hell. At least he could laugh at their jokes when he was bored.
"So I was talking to Sarah and she was all like…" Jimmy started to say but Edd tuned him out.
Edd crossed paths with Kevin a few times but refused to acknowledge his existence. He definitely didn't need any distractions right now. It didn't seem to bother Kevin though; he was talking to that ugly frog Nazz. He walked faster down the hallway and ran into several kids on the way. None of them called him on it. Who would lay a finger on the most dangerous guy in school? He wasn't really living up to his reputation anymore though. Who would have thought that Edd would become this daydreaming pansy that only thought about fooling around with some nerd? They didn't even know each other that well and he wanted him in bed. That was what his dreams were telling him anyway.
Tomorrow there would be a swim team practice that Kevin would attend because of that whole slave thing. He originally started that just as a joke. It was something to scare the nerd with every now and again when he got bored. Now it seemed that he was always looking forward to messing with him. Now that he thought about it Edd could just order Kevin to undress and he would have to comply but where would the fun in that be? Plus then he would feel like shit afterward and Kevin would hate him. That stupid dork's opinion of him was such a setback. Edd wouldn't care if some lame dude on the street thought his earrings were too flashy but if Kevin did…there would be some changes to his wardrobe.
He never thought he would want to change just for one person. This entire thing was shit. He sighed and then walked to his classroom. He glanced back at Kevin, who was staring at him now as he walked farther down the hallway with Nazz. Kevin smiled. Edd walked inside pretending not to notice. He smiled once he realized that he was alone. A blush formed on his cheeks. He put his hands into his pockets and he sat down at his desk. He was ready to start daydreaming again.
Okay, I am dying to hear your responses! Please review me! Question me; I don't care if it is a stupid question or anything. I sometimes can't get the point across in my writing so please help! I read this chapter a dozen times to make sure it would flow nicely with Edd's character development. I tried and therefore no one can judge me. Anyway, thank you for reading, tune in next week okay? XD
