I do not own Rise of the Guardians. If I did, I probably wouldn't be on Fanfiction, and I'd be making a second part to the movie.
Hope you enjoy! Thanks very much for the reviews!

CHAPTER 9: Memories
*Although the scars of yesterday remain, you can go on living as much as your heart believes. You cant be born again, although you can change.
-Opening song for Fruits Basket (English Version)
Leah's POV
Jack and I flew over to Tooth's Palace. I hoped she was there.
She was.
When she saw us, she flew over, and wouldn't stop apologizing.
"Leah! I'm so sorry! I didn't think you would take it so hard, and I really wanted to tell you, but it would have put you in danger, and the fact that you could be my god daughter is wonderful, but it would put you in danger as well, but its still a good thing, really! Im so, so sorry for trying to keep it from you and-
"Tooth! Its alright!" I said. she calmed down.
"So, what brings you two love birds over here?" Tooth asked.
Jack and I glanced at each other, then back at Tooth. "Love birds?" we asked.
Tooth glanced at our blushing faces. "Oh, I'm sorry! Its just that you two look so cute together!"
Jack and I blushed even more. "Tooth, do you think you could help us?" Jack asked.
Tooth smiled and nodded. "Sure thing!"
"My human memories. Do you have them?" I asked.
Tooth's smiling face became full of worry. "Did you also forget you memories when you passed?"
"No… well, some of them anyway." I replied.
"Oh. Well, you came to the right place! Hold on, just a minute." Tooth fluttered away.
I glanced at Jack. He still seemed a bit pink.
"Did you really forge some of your memories?" Jack asked, leaning on his staff. I nodded.
"I remember my sister. Some of my mother and father, and a few of my friends. I sort of remember my death, but no much."
"Maybe when you get your baby teeth, you can see all of your memories."
"Maybe," I shrugged.
I looked over to where Tooth was still searching for my teeth, but I still felt Jack's eyes on me. I looked back at him once more.
"Why are you staring at me?" I asked. He shrugged. He studied me for a bit. "Jack?"
He looked straight into my eyes. "It just that…" he hesitated.
"Just that what?"
Jack squinted his blue eyes at me.
Tooth's bubbly voice called out "I found them!"
Tooth fluttered over to us, holding a pretty golden box, with diamond designs. "Here you go!" she said, handing them to me.
I studied the small painting of myself. I looked much younger. I didn't have my four highlights of blue, green, red, and purple in my dark brown hair. I had regular dark brown eyes, with out the rainbow color outlining my pupuls. I looked, like an ordinary girl.
I took the box of memories. "So how does this work?"
"You simply press or run your finger on the design." Jack said. "You might want to sit down though."
I nodded and sat down on the spot. "Will you be able to see them too?"
They shook their heads. "Not unless we hold the box with you."
I shrugged. "Here I go."
I ran my fingers over the top. The designs seemed to sparkle, then they faded, and then pictures poured into my mind.
*Into Leah's memories, normal POV*
The first memory was the same as her nightmare, but Leah could see much more.
Leah, seeming smaller, sat next to a beautiful lady, who was wearing beautiful green robes and ball gown. The lady sang a lullaby, but all Leah could depict was "December."
The music played, and the guests danced gracefully. The lady and a man in grey danced as well, leaving another younger girl with Leah. Everything was going well, until the doors burst open and black sand streamed in. The lights dimmed, the music stopped, and everyone ran away, screaming. Many got hit with black sand, blood streaming onto the dance floor. Leah and the other little girl were scooped up, and carried away, into the snowy night.
Leah watched her surroundings with wide eyes. The person, a woman, carrying her called out. Leah then saw a boy, who she reconized as Jack. Jack took Leah away from the other woman, and shot out at something. A black figure loomed over them, until a fairy, Toothiana, interfered. They battled for a while. Leah felt herself being carried away from the battle.
Later, Leha found herself in the lady in green's arms. The other little girl was in the man in grey's arms. The man said some words, and Leah felt a tingling over her body. Shutting her eyes, she shivered, until it passed. Tooth suddenly burst in with North, Bunnymund, and another lady in brown garments. Leah and the little girl were taken by them, and carried away.
They were carried beyond the clouds, and onto the Earth, where they were placed in front of a building. Tooth, with tears in her eyes, smiled sadly, and said "Always keep believing." And then Tooth flew away with the other spirits.
Leah shivered and wrapped her arms around the little girl. What was her name? Leah faintly remembered something about "Care."
A light shone upon them as the door suddenly opened. "Oh you poor dears! How long have you been out here?" Leah and "Care" were lifted up and taken into the warm building.
*days later*
"The older one's name is Leah. The little one… we aren't sure."
"How do you know her name?" a woman with brown hair asked. The orphanage caretaker shrugged. "Little Leah is able to speak her name, but calls the little one 'Care.'"
"Well I guess we can her… Caroline."
The caretaker nodded and turned to Leah. "Leah, you and your sister are getting adopted."
*Years later*
Leah, now at 10 years old, sat in the library at her school. She kept her head down, her face hidden behind a book. Suddenly, the book was knocked out of the hands. Leah looked up in fear.
"Trying to hide, little freak?" A girl with blonde hair sneered at Leah.
"Please! Leave me alone, please!" Leah begged. The girl glanced at two other girls and laughed. They pulled Leah out of her chair, and yanked her outside, in the hallway. The hallway was deserted, so no one was able to see the girls yank Leah by the hair. No one saw Leah get shoved into the wall, or get slapped. No one was there to see the girls kick at her and call her a "freak."
No one saw Leah lie on the floor crying.
*Months later*
"Nice hoodie."
Leah looked up to see a girl about her age, with short brown hair. The girl smiled kindly.
"Thanks." Leah smiled at the girl.
"What's your name?"
"Leah."
"Cool! My name is Emily."
The two girl became the best of friends soon after that.
*One Year later*
"Come on Leah!" Caroline, Leah's younger sister yanked on Leah by the hand. Leah laughed and followed.
They entered the woods, each holding small baskets. "Leah, do you really think the Easter Bunny will find the gifts?" Caroline asked.
Leah shrugged. "He should. How can the Easter Bunny resist two baskets of carrots and chocolate?"
*Months later*
Caroline sighed in her sleep. Leah smiled. It was Christmas Eve, and Caroline insisted on staying up to see Santa. Leah stayed up of course. Leah didn't know why, but she had a special feeling about Santa. And the Tooth Fairy.
Leah smiled. She had recently lost a tooth, so she had that under the pillow Leah was using to sleep. Santa and the Tooth Fairy in one night? Talk about magical.
*Two Years later*
Leah dodged a kick from the girl. This girl still bullied her, and didn't seem to ever stop. Leah and Emily were both on the track team, so they used it to their atvantage. They ran.
Once they stopped running, it began snowing.
Leah smiled. "Snow!"
Emily giggled. "Leah, aren't you coming inside? Its freezing!" she asked as they came across Emily's building. Leah smiled and shook her head. "I love the snow. You know that."
"Your favorite season is spring and winter. How can I forget? You're always outside exploring."
Leah shrugged. "What can I say? I guess I'm in love with Jack Frost!" she giggled.
Emily teased her before going inside. Leah waved good bye before heading to the park where she lay on the snow and made a snow angel. Looking at the sky, Leah smiled. "No matter what, I'll ALWAYS believe." She then felt a wisp of frosty air. Looking to the side, she saw a figure fly off into the night.
*Next day*
Leah stared intently at her sister. One minute, Caroline and Leah were tossing snow at each other, and the next, Caroline was on thin ice. Literally.
Leah stretched out her hand. Leah could pull her forward, but Leah knew the force would just pull Leah instead. The ice made a loud crack. Tears filled her eyes, but Leah smiled at Caroline. "I couldn't have had a better sister in the whole world." She said.
Leah grabbed Caroline, swung her around, and then fell, head first onto the ice. Leah was instantly hit with the cold shock of the water.
"At least I got to see my sister one last time.." she thought as her vision clouded over. Just before she blacked out, she felt a force pull her up and out of the water.
Leah blinked as her mind was invaded by a bright silvery light. "Your innocence, bravery, and selfless act has shown your unique values. Rise, my daughter."
The light faded, and Leah saw the moon. It was so bright and beautiful. Then she heard a single whisper coming from it. "Your name is now… Leah Elements."
Leah felt herself lowered onto the ground. Looking around, she caught sight of a young boy, around 16, wearing a blue hoodie, torn brown pants, and no shoes. Leah remembered someone speaking of him before. The white hair, blue eyes, and staff were dead give aways.
"Can you see me?"
The boy spoke.
Leah nodded. "You are… Jack Frost."
Jack gave her a soft smile.
*Out of Leah's memories.*
Normal POV
Leah gasped, and nearly dropped the box. Jack and Tooth stood there, wonder in their eyes. "Leah? What did you see?" Tooth asked.
Leah let ut a breath, alomost like a laugh. "Did you guys see that?!" she asked. They shook their heads, no.
"I was a believer! I was bullied, sure, but I had a friend after all! And…" Leah trailed off.
"And? What?" Jack asked. Leah smiled. "I was adopted."
Tooth frowned. "That's a good thing?"
Leah laughed. "Sort of. Tooth. I saw my real parents. My dad has silver hair and eyes, and he's kinda handsome. My mom is so pretty! She has dark brown hair like me, with floweres woven into it, and she had pretty green eyes!"
Tooth gasped. "You just described Man in Moon and Mother Nature…"
"Yes! Tooth, you were right! You're my god mother, North is my god father! I know who am. I'm the daughter of the MiM and Mother Nature!" Leah exclaimed.
"Leah... it really is you! You're my god daughter! I knew this day would come, i knew you would find us!" Tooth fluttered around happily, tears in her eyes.
"Wait...if I'm the daughter of MiM and Mother Nature, and so is my sister... I had to die to become a spirit again. Does that mean my sister had to die too?" Leah asked.
"Not exactly. The spell on her should wear off. Maybe a year or so. The original spell said that the spell should have worn off on your 15th birthday. THis means, you arent really dead. You're still aging until 15." Tooth explained.
"So... I did turn 14 after all?" Leah asked. Tooth nodded.
"Oh! That reminds me! We have to celebrate this! and your birthday too!" Jack said. He grinned. "Who's up for a party?"
"I knew it!" Pitch snarled.
Turning away, he teleported back to his home using shadows.
"Pitch!" Skelo's cry was heard. "Pitch! Let us go! Let my sister go!"
Pitch ignored him. Ever since he killed their father, Pitch had kept Hallows Eve and Skelo Ton locked up. Skelo was no difficulty locking up, but Hallows was. She had inherited her father's Halloween powers. For being a 15 year old spirit, Hallows was pretty powerful. So Pitch locked her up into a dungeon, deep within his lair. Skelo was simply locked in one of his cages.
Pitch stared at the lights on his globe. "So. Miss. Elements really is the daughter of the Moon and Nature. She could ruin everythng!"
"Aw.. is the boogyman scared of a girl?" Skelo asked. Pitch snarled and glared up at him. "Shut up you fool, or your twin sister will have it!"
Skelo shut up.
"Hm... i wonder... the girl seems to really care for her sister..." Pitch thought, then smiled. "I think it's time to visit little Caroline. After all, everyone is afriad of something..."
