OK Guys, sorry I didn't get an upload done this weekend. I was busy with a horse show. I'm sure you'll like this chapter, but I may end this story soon. I'm running out of ideas…but if any of you have some feel free to PM me. Enjoy!

Chapter 10

Kurenai's PoV

9 Months Later

I woke up to excruciating pain early in the morning. It was so painful I could barely move. I looked around, then saw Kakashi. I had almost forgotten…I shook him.

"Kakashi! Wake up…Please…your daughter is on her way!" I screamed in pain.

Kakashi stirred a bit but turned away from me and fell back asleep. Tsunade had given him and his team a lengthy mission the night before. I sighed then gripped my stomach in pain and screamed.

"Kakashi PLEASE wake up!" I screamed louder, shaking him more vigorously.

"Hmm….?" He voiced sleepily.

"Your daughter is on her way! Wake up! Please! I need to go to the hospital now!" I said screaming in pain and gripping my stomach again.

He jumped up and threw some clothes on then picked me up, and ran to the hospital as fast as he could. After several grueling hours of labor, I was holding my little girl.

"What do you want to name her?" The doctor asked.

"Hinami Hatake." I said smiling and rocking her.

"She's so cute…I love you both so much…" Kakashi said.

"You can hold her… I want to sleep…." I said obviously tired. I handed her to him and he got the biggest smile on his face.

"She's so cute….and soft….I love her…so so much Kurenai. Thank you." He said smiling.

I smiled than fell asleep. Several hours later I woke up to see him still holding her and rocking her as I had left him.

"This is adorable…" I said.

"Oh! You're up." Kakashi said.

"Yup, when did Tsunade say I could go home?" I asked.

"In a few weeks." He said looking at Hinami.

"You really love her don't you?" I said smiling.

"Well of course! I waited nine whole months for her to get here." He said.

"Well I'm glad she's made you so happy." I said.

"Has she not made you happy?" He asked.

"I'm just happy she lived." I said.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Well…I don't remember if I told you…but…when I was with asuma…I was pregnant with his son…and after asuma passed away, shortly after that, due to stress…I had a miscarriage." I said looking down sadly.

"Of course you didn't have a miscarriage this time! You had someone to help you and take care of you." He said smiling.

I looked at him in shock. He was so loving and caring. Even though there was a possibility of him losing me and Hinami. I was the only person that ever saw this side of him. I felt so lucky.

"So…Umm…Tsunade said…that after about a month or two I'll have to go back to work." He said sadly.

"What? Why so soon?" I asked.

"She needs me and my team, since your team will be out for awhile and same with asuma's." He said.

"They won't be dangerous missions…will they Kakashi?" I asked.

He stayed silent.

"Kakashi answer me!" I demanded.

"I can't guarantee that Kurenai." He said.

I looked at him in shock. I can't lose him. I've already lost asuma…I couldn't lose him too. Not with Hinami. I can't raise her on my own…

He sat Hinami down than went over to me and cupped my cheek in his hand.

"I don't want you to worry. No matter what, I won't leave you. I promise." He said in his caring, soft and reassuring voice.

"But Kakashi-…" I began. He pulled down his mask than silenced me with a passionate kiss. After he pulled his lips away from mine he looked at me in the eyes than pulled up his mask.

"I told you, you don't have to worry about it. I'm strong. I'll always be here, and I'll never leave your or Hinami's side." He said smiling.

How was I able to get a man like him? How did I get the sweetest and most caring man there was? I didn't deserve a man like him. I truly didn't. After disappointing asuma, I felt like I deserved a man as sweet and loving as Kakashi.

I smiled at him slightly and started to tear up.

"Oh no! Kurenai sweetheart! I didn't mean to make you cry!" He said trying to calm me down and freaking out.

"I'm not sad Kakashi." I said still crying, but managing to smile. "These are tears of joy. I'm so happy I have you and Hinami, and I wouldn't trade you both for all the money in the world."

He smiled than hugged me and brought Hinami over to me so I could hold her. I looked at her smiling.

"Welcome to the Family little one. Me and your daddy will always be here with you, and we will always protect you." I said.

She reached up and grabbed my hair, than she saw Kakashi's headband and reached for it.

"Ya want this sweetheart?" He said taking it off and handing it to her with a smile.

I smiled happily. My little family was perfect. Nothing would separate us….Or….so I thought….
