Harry Potter and the Dinomagi Chapter 10
Every one sat there in silence for a few minutes, either looking at Tonks as she continued to read, or at Harry who looked to have given up on life itself. The more Tonks read the angrier she got as she realized the extent of what the headmaster had done.
"Girls from what I'm reading, Harry's right about Dumbledore wanting him dead."
"Tonks that is ridiculously absurd of course Professor Dumbledore doesn't want Harry dead. For all we know those documents could be fake too tarnish the reputation of a great man."
Tonks looked at her for a few seconds before turning to Harry who had watched the whole thing.
"Tonks, Hermione has the upmost believe in authority and Dumbledore to her is infallible. Hermione, Ragnok is the head of the goblin nation. My account manager found something's wrong with my accounts and brought it to his attention. Ragnok in turn called me in too straighten everything out. What we uncovered was very disturbing to say the least."
Harry took the folder from Tonks and opened it to the front then handed it to Hermione while pointing at something on the page. Hermione when she got the folder looked where Harry was pointing and saw a symbol which she had read about when doing some homework for History of Magic.
"I see you know that mark Hermione. It's the mark of the leader of the Goblin Nation and as I'm sure your well aware Hermione, faking it is a death sentence."
Hermione knew full well what the mark was and what the punishment was for faking it's use. She also knew that Harry knew she knew, plus she also knew that Harry wouldn't do something like this for any good reason. She looked up at Harry and was about too ask a question but Harry beat her to it.
"Hermione I know you have questions, however read those documents first and if there is anything you don't understand I will try and answer them as best I can."
Hermione just nodded and went on reading everything in the folder and the more she read, the more she got frustrated. They all sat there until Hermione had read through the folder then turned back a few pages as there was something that she didn't understand.
"Harry what's a Horcrux?"
"A Horcrux is a container created by very powerful and very dark magic. After committing murder it splits the soul and a Horcrux is created when you remove a part of your soul and place it into an object. Should you be attacked and you body is destroyed as long as you have a Horcrux you can't die, in other words you are immortal or at least you are until the Horcrux is destroyed."
"But why would some one do that in the first place. I mean it would only cause damage to them wouldn't it."
"You got me Hermione. But this is Voldermort, so you tell me why he would do it to himself?"
"Right, well I have no answer for that and I can look up more information when we get back. Now can't you break this marriage contract, I mean you are head of your house if what I'm reading is correct."
"I can't because of what Dumbledore did. Everyone thinks that Dumbledore is a descended of Merlin, but he's not he's actually descended from Morgana Le'Fay. So because of that he has two spells which she created that he used on the contract. The first makes it enforceable so it can't be broken, however there is still a way too break it. However that's where the second spell comes into it."
"What do you mean Harry? How can you break it? Maybe there's something that we can do?"
"Before the second spell the only way too break the contract would be by a soul bond. However with the second spell it becomes much more complicated. Now the only way to break it would be a bond with not only one soul mate but all my soul mates at the exactly the same time."
"So how many soul mates do you have? As it sounds like you could at least bond with two."
"I have six soul mates Hermione and I would need too bond with all of them at the same time as that much power would then overpower the second spell. However if I were just too bond to one at a time then the spell would kick in and kill my soul mates one at a time. So the bonds would have to come into being at the same time for it to work and there is a few ways. First it might and I mean might be possible too use a time turner but there is still a chance it could fail. Second is if magic itself were to just suddenly die for about ten minutes but that is least likely to work than the first. Finally is what's known as a magical dead zone, which would be the easiest to use as we are currently in one now. Here all magic does not work and as soon as you leave it you'll get your magic back then the bonds wouldn't be repressed there for they start at the same time which would also be enough too overpower the spell. However there is a small problem as Dumbledore has meddled in there life's as well as mine so they might not want to date anyone let alone bond with me."
"What do you mean Harry? Why wouldn't they bond to you?"
"Hermione, Dumbledore used potions on all my soul mates just some had more resistance to them than others."
"So who are your soul mates? We need to know who they are so we can help."
"I said it's not that easy Hermione. However there is a list of them in the folder near the back."
As soon as Harry said this Hermione started looking through the folder once more until she found the page she wanted. She spent the next few minutes looking over the document until she looked at the other young ladies before looking back at Harry.
"Your soul mates are us six."
