:D enjoy a REALLY late chapter :D
Days past and Star got kept getting better. Everyone (Mostly Kid and Viola) visited her frequently.
"Um… M-Miss Medusa…?" Star asked. Medusa turned her chair towards Star.
"Yes?" She asked.
"When will I be able to leave?" She asked. Medusa laughed.
"Are you starting to get bored?" She giggled. Star nodded.
"No offence but yeah, there's not much to do in a hospital bed." She replied, tipping her head back to look at the ceiling. "I mean my body feels much better and I can walk again." She said, kicking her legs. "See, it doesn't hurt!" Star told her. Medusa sighed.
"Fine I guess I can take a few tests and see if you're ready to go home." She told Star, tapping her pen against her knee. Star grinned.
"That'd be great… If you're not busy…" Star blushed . Medusa smiled.
"I'm not busy at the moment, if you want we can take them right now." She suggested. Star nodded.
"That'd be great thank you." Medusa's tests consisted of taking Stars blood pressure, checking her heart beat, seeing how well she could walk, and looking at her wounds one more time.
"Alight Star, you are all set to go home." Medusa told Star after analyzing all of the tests. Star laughed happily, then sweat dropped.
"That's really great and I'm thankful to you for taking the time to take the tests but I just realized… I don't have any clothes to go home in." She giggled nervously. Medusa laughed.
"I'm not surprised, I guess-"
"Hey Star." Star turned to see Spirit standing at the door. "Hellloooo Doctor Medussssaaaa." Spirit swooned. Medusa giggled as did Star.
"Hi Mr Death Scythe, what's up?" Star asked. Spirit looked at her.
"Shinigami asked me to check on you, and by the looks of it you're in pretty good shape." Spirit replied smiling. Star laughed.
"Yeah! In fact Ms Medusa says I can go home today b-"
"But the poor girl doesn't have any clothes to go home in." Medusa told him. Star blushed with embarrassment. Spirit grinned. If I help Star Medusa will think of me as kind and helpful, kind of like a hero! Oh Medusa, I'll be your Hero any day… Stien swooned in his head.
"The school has extra uniforms, if you would like I can go get one for you to borrow." He said. Star smiled widely.
"That'd be great! Thank you Mr Death Scythe." Star exclaimed. Spirit smiled. YES! IT WORKED! He cheered in his head.
"Anytime." He gave her a thumbs up while side glancing at Medusa. Medusa giggled, as if she didn't know Spirit was hitting on her. Star jumped with excitement, she was so happy to finally be able to go home. She quickly walked over Spirit's side with a big grin on her face. Spirit smiled at the young meister. "Well, I guess we should be going now… byeeeeeee miss medussssaaaa!" He swooned. Medusa giggled innocently and waved.
"Bye Ms Medusa! Thanks for all you've done for me!" Star bowed politely with a slight blush. Medusa smiled.
"It was my pleasure!" Medusa replied. Star giggled, then waved and left along with Spirit. She gave a bubbly grin as she walked beside Spirit. Man, I'm very glad I can go back to school again! I can't wait to see every one… I know! I'll even visit Shinigami-Sama while I'm at it! Star thought cheerfully. She looked up at spirit with her big grey eyes.
"Hey Mr Death Scythe?" Star asked shyly. Spirit looked back down at her.
"Yeah?" He asked. Star twiddled her thumbs.
"W-w would it be okay if I saw Shinigami-Sama?" She asked. Spirit was puzzled for a moment. Why would Star want to see him even after what happened… Nobody's told her what happened yet? Spirit asked himself. He gave a nervous smile.
"Uh yeah… sure!" He chuckled nervously. Star's eyes widened as she noticed Spirit's change in emotion.
"Is everything ok Mr Death Scythe?" She asked. Spirit began to mentally freak out. Crap Crap Crap CRAP! What do I say?! He began sweating badly. It took a few moments but he soon thought of something.
"Y-yeah… It's just that I realized your still wearing your hospital dress and I was just about to walk you through the DWMA…" He lied. Star looked down and laughed while blushing.
"Oh yeah! I nearly forgot!" She told him. Spirit sighed he just nearly escaped that one. "Should I wait here then?" She asked. Spirit thought for a moment, before having another idea.
"I think my jacket should go low enough on you." He said. Spirit took his jacket off and gave it to Star, who put it on and held it tight around her body.
"Does it cover enough?" She asked. Spirit, who gave a quick glance over her body as to not be perverted, nodded.
"Looks good to me." He said. Star smiled.
"Good." She stated, and they began to walk again. She still kept a big grin as they walked through the DWMA building. All the student were currently on their brake, so there were lots of people in the hallways looking at them. Star blushed and looked down to avoid the stares, but still smiled. Spirit's eye twitched. What if Maka sees me… She'll think I'm a pedophile fore sure! He fretted. Meanwhile Soul was standing out in the hallway with Maka, when they saw Spirit with Star. GWAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHAT'S WITH PAPA AND STAR? WHY IS SHE WEARING HIS JACKET? She asked/yelled at herself.
"Hey Maka, isn't that your creeper dad and Star?" He asked. Maka just stood there starstrucken.
"Y-yeah…" She replied.
"Hey Star!" Soul yelled. Star lifted her head and looked over. She grinned wider and waved.
"Hi Soul! Hi Maka!" She greeted. Soul and Maka ran over to her.
"What are you doing out here?" Maka asked. Star gave a peace sign.
"They let me out, Ms Medusa said I was well enough to leave." She told them. Soul grinned.
"That's awesome! Now we can hang more often." He said. Maka nodded in agreement.
"Yeah!... We'll have a big picnic after school tomorrow to celebrate!" Maka exclaimed. Star rubbed the back of her neck.
"Oh no Maka you don't need to do that-"
"Sure I do!" She retorted.
"Wow Maka you're the best!" Star exclaimed. Maka blushed and smiled.
"It's no problem really-"
"Hey So-" Black Star stopped mid-sentence when he saw Star standing with Maka.
"Hi Big Brother." She waved. It only took a mila-second for Black Star to scream…
"STAR!" He ran at her full speed and hugged her. Star nearly collapsed by the force of her Brother's hug, but she stood and hugged him back. She laughed for a few moments then Black Star released her and put his arm around her shoulder. "So, they let you go early." He said. Star giggled.
"Yeah!" She replied. Black Star grinned.
"I'm glad, I missed you. A big star like me needs his little star around! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Black Star laughed, making the rest of the group smile. A few moments latter another person joined the party.
"Black Star what are you-" Tsubaki was startled when she saw Star. "Hahahaha Star! Your back!" Tsubaki cheered. "Hey Ido! Koga! Patty! Liz! Look who came back!" She yelled. The four looked over and saw Star. Ido and Koga both grinned big before running to her.
"STAR!" They both yelled and hugged her waist.
"Hi you guys! I missed you!" Star said. They looked up.
"I missed you too STAR!" Ido yelled.
"Yeah it's been pretty dull without you around." Koga added, standing up and smirking. Star laughed.
"I'm glad you all missed me so much! Thank you!" She said. Everyone smiled.
"Don't thank us stupid…" Soul replied. Maka immediately took a book and wacked him over the with it, causing the group to sweat drop.
"Oh Maka it's fine…" Star giggled. (Holy crap lot's of giggleness) They all laughed until they were interrupted (again…:)
"Star…" The young reaper asked in disbelief. Star look over and gave the biggest smile she'd ever given.
"Kid!" She exclaimed, and made an attempt to go over to him, but by the time she had gone to move her foot Kid was already half way over to her. Once he had made it close to her he put his arms around her waist.
"Why didn't you tell me you were getting out today?" He asked. Star rested her head on Kid's chest.
"Because I didn't know, Ms Medusa said I could leave today… Speaking of which I'm sorry Mr Death Scythe…" She apologized to Spirit who was almost invisible at the moment.
"It's fine, but we probably should get going." He replied. Star nodded.
"I guess I'll see you guys later." She said, then lifted herself off of his chest. Before she walked away with Spirit Kid grabbed her hand.
"I'm going to come with you." He stated simply. Star giggled at his seriousness.
"I'll be okay, thanks though." She told him, as much as she really wanted Kid to come. He sighed.
"That wasn't a question Star, I'm coming with you." He replied. Star blushed and nodded.
"Okay!" She cheered. Kid couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm, as did Spirit. She squeezed his hand as the three walked towards the death room. Kid squeezed her hand back and looked down at her.
"What's wrong?" He asked. Star grunted and tried to decide whether she should tell him or not. He stopped and put his free hand on the side of her face. "Star… What's wrong?" He asked softly. Star looked down and blushed.
"W-Well… I'm afraid to confront Shinigami-Sama… I mean… I did fail my mission after all…" She said shyly. Kid's eyes widened a bit. She still doesn't know…? He asked himself. Spirit sighed.
"We should keep going." He said hesitantly before Kid told Star the truth. Kid and Star looked over to him. Kid dropped his hand from Star's cheek and the three continued to walk until the finally made it to the death room. Star sighed deeply before letting go of Kids hand and walking past Spirit to the door. I will be brave… I will confront Shinigami-Sama about my failure. She though before pushing open the door and walking down the hallway to where he was, holding Spirits jacket close. Spirit and Kid watched her for a few moments before finally following her.
"Shinigami-Sama!" She yelled. Shinigami jumped at her voice but remained calm.
"Star, is that you?" He asked. Star gulped.
"Y-Yes sir." She replied. Shinigami's chest tightened. How could he face the girl he tried to have killed.
"How are you feeling, better I assume?" He asked. Star nodded.
"Yes I'm feeling, better thank you." She answered politely, approaching him. She then bowed, which surprised Shinigami, Kid, and Spirit. She kept her head down before yelling, "I'm sorry I failed my mission sir! I will train harder and-"
"Stop it right there Star." He interrupted her, surprising everyone in the room. "The truth is… I have something I need to tell you…"
