Hey Hi Hello everyone! Long time, no update. My apologies.
Marshall ends up buying Gumball the outfit, along with the other 3 outfits Gumball picks out. He collects all the items after Gumball changes and walks up to the register. The girl is wearing the same amused smile.
"Is this going to be all?" She asks, pulling the clothes closer to her.
"Yes." Gumball replies, pushing the book Marshall was reading onto the counter, along with a couple other Math books. He slides next to Marshall and smiles at him. Marshall returns it.
"Gummy, you don't have to get these for me." Marshall says as Gumball digs in his back pocket for cash.
"Yeah, I know I don't have to." Gumball shrugs, pushing the money into Marshalls hands. He smiles. "I want to."
"You two are so cute." The girl coos as she scans the clothes. The two turn their attention back to the cashier. Gumball mutters a shy 'thank you,' and Marshall smiles at her.
"So, are you two...?" She asks, glancing between the two of them. Marshall and Gumball both stare before they realize what she's asking.
"No!" Gumball starts, face flushing a pretty red. "I mean, not that I think being together would be a bad thing, not at all, but we're...we're just not. Just friends. Good friends. Right Marshall? Right." Gumball nods, assuring himself mostly, while the other two just look on, amused.
The girl eventually rings them up and bags their stuff. "You guys should come back. No one ever comes in, and you two make great company." She calls as they head to leave. Marshall glances at Gumball.
"We'll think about it."
"Alright. Come back soon!" She smiles, waving as they leave.
Marshall and Gumball exit the shop and walk around a bit more, stopping for lunch at the food court before heading back to the dorms.
"Thanks for showing me around." Marshall says as they walk into the lobby of the housing.
"No problem! I've always wanted to go with someone, and you're really the only friend I have. N-not to make you feel pressured, or anything, but it's true. You're my only friend. My only good friend. Who's nice. And still a math wizard." Gumball smiles and Marshall just laughs as they open their room door. Gumball busies himself with putting his new clothes away, and Marshall cracks open one of his books on Geometric proofs and starts reading at his desk.
"Marshmallow?" Gumball asks, flopping back on his bed.
"Yes, Gummy?"
"Why are you so smart?" Marshall snorts. "I'm serious, though. Why are you so interested in Math and English? Doesn't it ever get boring or mind numbing?"
"No, not really." Marshall replies, turning his swivel chair to face Gumball. He shrugs. "I didn't really have a lot of friends in my old town, but I found at a young age how easy it was to make friends with books. My elementary teacher and I also realized I was good at math, and she said that I should skip past the next two years just to be leveled with everyone. So, I did."
"Woah. You actually are like a genius!"
"Not, really, Gummy." Marshall shakes his head despite his smile.
"Are too! You were like, learning Algebra in the fourth grade!"
"It's not that big of a deal, Gumball, it really isn't."
"It so is!" Gumball squeals, leaping up and hugging Marshall around the neck. "My roommate is smmmaarrrtttt!"
Marshall laughs, hugging the boy back. "Whatever you say."

The two laze around for hours before it's time for Gumball to go put the final touches on that night's dessert. He takes Marshall with him, introducing him to the cafeteria staff, and the two tackle the job of detailing and displaying all the desserts in an hour.
"Whew!" Gumball exclaims, wiping the back of his hand across his forehead. "That job usually takes me hours! I need to bring you more often!" He laughs as he peels the apron from him and starts washing up in the sink. Marshall follows his lead.
"Hey, always happy to help." Marshall smiles, standing next to Gumball at the commercial sink. He washes and dries his hands before reaching up to wipe Gumball's cheek with his thumb.
"You had a little frosting." Marshall explains, smiling as Gumball stares at him. Gumball continues to stare, and smiles when Marshall retracts his hand.
"Thanks."
"Since you two lovebirds are done, you can go ahead and get your plates before the main dinner rush gets here." One of the cafeteria ladies call. Both boys blush before heading out into the dining hall.

Dinner is uneventful. Nobody noticed the two were gone from class earlier that day, which didn't bother either one of them in the slightest. The desserts turned out amazing, and everyone was raving about them all night.
Gumball and Marshall share a secret high five on their way back to the dorms.
"Well, today was fun." Gumball yawns.
"Makes me kind of wish we could skip every day." Marshall says as he opens their room door and walks in.
"Yeah, and watch our grades plummet." Gumball laughs, pushing Marshall through the room slightly. Gumball turns to the close the door behind him when a foot appears on the ground, stopping the door from closing. Gumball looks up to see a girl smiling at him.
"I'm sorry, but is Marshall Lee here?" She coos.
"Marshall?" Gumball asks, opening the door wider so Marshall could see who was asking for him. Marshall stares blankly at the girl as she smiles at him.
"Miss me, Marshy?"
"Do you know her, Marsh?"
"Yeah," He says, glancing at Gumball.
"I thought you were dead." Marshall says as he stares back at his twin sister.
WHAT.
