Hello!

Here's Chapter 8! I hope you like this chapter! The previous one was extremely hard to write, but I did it in the end. I hope you enjoy and I do the characters justice!

I am feeling this story coming to it's and end I hope you guys are too. In theory I need 2 more chapters to get to my goal of '10' but I think I'll just have to see how the next chapter goes. Even so, 9 Chapters, 2 Prologues and an Epilogue isn't all that bad, right?

Sorry it's so late! I'm in Amsterdam next week so I'm afraid the next updates going to be a little late too!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy! ;)

- Thursday November 2nd -

Kurt hadn't really slept at all, had in fact spent most of the night crying like he'd planned. Noah, to his surprise, made it through the night without any nightmares. He didn't even wake up once scared of the ordeal, he had one very brave little boy. While Rachel and Santana had taken to sharing the spare bed, refusing to leave him alone. It bothered him, them staying, all he wanted was to be alone, but he knew if the roles were reversed he wouldn't have left either.

Sitting at the breakfast bar, his head in one hand, the other wrapped around his coffee, Kurt couldn't help but think about what would happen now. He didn't want to get his hopes up or disappoint himself unnecessarily, but he had to look at all the options. On a brighter note, Blaine could call and say he over reacted (which he didn't,) and say that he isn't going anywhere, spouting some joke about needing to start thinking strategies.

On the other hand, Blaine might not even ring. Or even if he did it might be to tell him that he's sorry but he has to break his promise for Matthews sake. And as much as Kurt hated the idea, he completely understood it. He would probably do something similar if the situation was reversed. His son would always come first and he could never hate or blame Blaine for doing the same.

He'd just hoped that Blaine would always be at his side regardless. Kurt was surprised when the tears didn't start to fall, but in all fairness he was probably all cried out. Last night dealing with his anxiety, the paparazzi attacking their kids and the idea that Blaine might leave, it had all been too much.

Looking at his coffee, he sat up straighter and gave it a stir. 'Come on Kurt, pick yourself up. You have to' he told himself. Well he did need to pick himself up, Noah couldn't see him like this. Hitting himself on the cheek a couple of times, (ouch! That one hurt) he tried to wake himself up and pull himself together. There was no doubt in his mind his son would be up soon.

Almost as if on cue he heard the pitter patter of feet above his head and the sound of his sons bedroom door opening. He could hear Noah walk across the hall and knock once on his bedroom door. "Daddy?" he attempted to whisper and Kurt laughed a little at that. Noah still hadn't figured out that a whisper was supposed to be quieter than your usual voice, not louder.

Looking towards the stairs he had to smile. "Down here buddy" he called quietly, not wanting to disturb the girls, if Noah hadn't woken them already that is. As he expected, the sound of his sons footfalls were soon heard on the stairs before all could be heard was the light thump of material on wooden flooring.

Smiling as his son walked towards him, Kurt was glad to see Noah looked fine. There was no evidence of a sleepless night, no evidence of tears, no evidence of anything bad what so ever. "How are you feeling this morning?" he asked picking Noah up and setting him on his lap, "you okay Kiddo?"

Noah nodded, rubbing at his sleep filled eyes, "I'm good Daddy but you look tired" his ever so observant son said turning to place his little hands on the side of his face. "Did you have a nightmare?" Noah asked frowning.

Kurt smiled at that, if only Noah knew. Nodding, he smiled sadly "something like that."

Noah wrapped, well attempted to wrap, his arms around his neck and Noah smiled at him in understanding. Obviously comparing it to the nightmares he had about monsters under his bed. If only his nightmares were that easy, you could just wake up from those. "You know they're not real though, right Daddy?" Noah asked softly and Kurt smiled, his son was trying to make him feel better.

Pulling Noah against his chest Kurt wrapped his arms around his son wishing he'd never have to let go. If only his nightmare wasn't real, monsters he could deal with, but the possibility of Blaine and Matthew walking out of his and Noah's life because of his fame, that was unimaginable. How could he deal with that? How would Noah. Stupid paparazzi, he thought, they ruin everything.

Thinking back to last night made Kurt hold on to his son tighter. "I am so sorry about what happened last night Noah" he said, fingers toying with his sons hair. "I'm so sorry," dropping his chin to the top of Noah's head he wished there was something, anything he could do to change it, "you shouldn't have to deal with that."

"Daddy don't be silly" Noah said shaking his head against his chest. Kurt refused to loosen his grip so Noah did what he could to fidget and look up at him. Kurt looked down at his son, his beautiful, beautiful son, smiling. "It's not your fault those bad people wanted your picture so bad" he smiled and Kurt wished Noah would never lose his innocence.

Kurt shook his head and dropped his gaze, unable to look at his son because he felt responsible. "Noah" he started having no idea how he was going to talk this through with his 5 year old baby boy. "Noah, those people wanted my picture for the magazines" he explained.

Noah tipped his head to the left in confusion and Kurt had to smile. "Yeah, because you're so pretty and a really good designer" Noah nodded, his hands grabbing a fistful of his shirt, "right Daddy?"

His son was smiling so proudly it was hard to make sense of anything. "Something like that" he swallowed, momentarily dropping his gaze.

Kurt had always been up for letting Noah make his own decision about living his life so publicly. If Noah didn't want to live his life like that, Kurt was more than willing to give him the opportunity to walk away. It had been one of the few real gifts he could give him, but now that had been taken from him and forced upon Noah instead, how was that fair.

"Noah, you see in this world some people are famous" he started, unsure of how he was going to phrase this so Noah would understand. "That means lots of people around the world like them and want to know everything about them. See their picture all the time and read all about them" he said looking at his son and hoping he'd see the importance of this conversation in his eyes.

Noah was looking at him directly, nodding, Kurt could practically see the cogs turning in his head. "So you're famous Daddy?" Noah said, clapping excitedly when he nodded sadly in response. "That's so really cool."

"Ah don't get ahead of yourself Buddy" he said picking Noah up and sitting him on the edge of the counter so they were at eye level. "This means that there are certain things outside of my control. Those people last night" he said holding Noah's gaze, "there are loads of people like that, all waiting around for a picture they can sell."

Noah looked confused and Kurt couldn't blame him, this was a lot to take in. "But Daddy, people wanting your picture is a good thing" he exclaimed happily.

Kurt smiled, wishing it was that simple. "You know what happened last night Noah? Those nasty people scaring you and Matthew, grabbing Mr Blaine? Those people that surrounded us?" Noah nodded, his smile disappearing as he no doubt thought back to how scared he was.

Squeezing Noah's knee, Kurt hated the idea of having to tell him this at such a young age. Hated that he even had anything to explain at all. "They do that a lot, and not everyone is made for that sort of attention. Not everyone can handle it" he attempted to explain what could be the very reason they would never see the Anderson's again.

"Then why do we have to handle it?" Noah asked innocently, no hatred or annoyance, just curiosity. "Why do some people like us have to have it and some people don't?"

Taking a breath Kurt had to smile, this was a lot for Noah to wrap his head around. "You know Daddy had that interview on Ellen?" he asked, trying for a different approach. Noah nodded, "that gave those people the push they needed to come find me and take my picture" he explained, "to take our picture."

"My picture?" Noah asked confused, "why do they want my picture? You're the famous one."

Kurt nodded, fighting a barely there smile. "Anyone that means something to me, like you for example" he said as playfully as he could manage, "are also targeted by those nasty people. They want as many pictures as they can get" he explained, deciding to leave the whole idea of false stories and rumours out of it. There was only so much he could throw his son at once.

"So does that include like Mr Blaine and Matthew too?" Noah asked, his expression one of innocence. Of course he had to go straight to the point and Kurt struggled not to flinch at the question. It did include Mr Blaine and Matthew, but what did that mean? What did that mean to Blaine? He didn't expect Blaine and Matthew to handle it, but there was a large part of him that hoped they would. But either way, right now, he had no idea.

Regardless he nodded, "it does. But you see it's not fair they have to be involved" he supplied. "Mr Blaine and Noah didn't ask to be involved in this" he said, trying to force cheer into his voice deciding he had to go for another approach. "Remember how I said that not every one can handle it? "

Noah nodded slowly and Kurt was pretty sure he was slowly figuring this out. "But Mr Blaine and Matthew can handle it" Noah said looking at him honestly, "I know they can."

Smiling sadly, Kurt ran a hand through his son's hair. "Maybe not, and they have every right to want to avoid it Noah" he explained with a smile. "Nobody should have to put up with this sort of treatment, least of all you, Mr Blaine or Matthew."

It was strange being at eye level with his son like this, but hopefully Noah would understand the importance. "None of you asked for this. None of you deserve it and I'm sorry for putting you through that" he smiled sadly.

Noah was watching him intently, his eyes flickering from side to side and his little fingers flexing in his lap, but he never said a word. "I was going to wait to go public" he went on to explain. "Wait until you were old enough to make your own decisions before the media had my picture, but I've ruined that and I'm sorry. So sorry" he continued kissing the top of Noah's head. "I'm so sorry for doing this to you."

Leaning forward, burying his nose in his sons hair when Noah's insistent head shaking forced him to sit up. "But Daddy, you don't have anything to say sorry for" Noah said complexed.

It was now Kurt's turn to stare at his son in confusion, "but Noah didn't you hea-"

"Yeah, yeah I heard that you get surrounded by nasty people because you're good at designing things." Noah said and Kurt was pretty sure he rolled his eyes. "You shouldn't be sorry Daddy, those people should be. It's not your fault. It's their fault. They're the naughty people."

Staring at his son, Kurt wasn't sure what to say and Noah took this as his cue to continue. "Yeah, people you love don't deserve to be attacked by nasty people, but neither do you Daddy. You deserve it less than all we do and if anybody really loved you they would already know that" he nodded with finality.

Kurt knew it wasn't that easy, knew life never was, but he was glad he'd cried himself dry last night otherwise he'd be in floods right now. "Daddy, I know you don't deserve it and I'd rather be there with you the entire time then never.

Laughing and smiling, Kurt ran his hands through his sons hair. "When did you get so smart Kiddo?" he smiled, genuinely wondering how his son was already smarter than him. "You're even smarter than me, how did that happen?" Kissing Noah on the forehead, he took his sons hands and allowed him to stand on his knees.

"I was born with" Noah shrugged with a giggle, trying his best to stay still where he was standing on his knees. "But I'll never be as smart as you Daddy, you're the smartest person ever" he grinned, that gleam returning in his son's eyes.

The two were sharing a moment, but suddenly Noah's happy-go-lucky expression turned serious. "I choose you Daddy. I choose to be with you and those nasty people" he said putting his hands on both sides of his face. "I love you Daddy, okay? And we're gonna face these nasty people together" he nodded.

Holding Noah against his chest, Kurt could feel his heart growing twice in size. He was one of the luckiest parents in the world. His son may only be 5, but no matter what his son thought, Noah was a lot smarter than him already. Kurt was sure his son would take over the world one day.

He was more than happy to continue the moment in silence, but clearly Noah wasn't finished. "If people don't want to stand by you then they're obviously really stupid" his son said into the side of his neck. Kurt didn't have anything to say to that. He wanted to say thank you but that wasn't enough, even telling his son how much he loved him wouldn't portray how much Noah saying that meant to him.

Obviously he didn't want to tell Noah straight out about how this could change both of their lives. Especially if Matthew and Blaine were to walk out on them, but as Kurt clutched his son it appeared Noah had something to say about that too.

"Mr Blaine and Matthew aren't stupid though" Noah commented, pulling back and kissing him on his forehead. "You'll see Daddy" and all Kurt could do was nod in response. His throat swelling up, his smile huge and he still didn't know what to do or say. He had such an amazing little boy, he was so lucky and fortunate to have a son like Noah.

Pulling Noah in, this time he kissed his son on the forehead, the way it should be. "I love you Noah" he smiled at his son who was now taller than him, still standing on his knees. It wasn't much, but right now it was all he could offer.

"I love you too" Noah replied with that little smile and laugh he loved so much. "Now, can I have some lucky charms for breakfast please?" He continued after a simple beat of silence, that cheeky smile of his firmly in place, knowing Kurt wouldn't deny him even though his Lucky Charms were specifically for special occasions.

Kurt laughed and for the first time in 24 hours, it felt genuine, he felt good. Kurt actually felt great, regardless of what cold happen today, he felt privileged knowing Noah would always be there. Some days he seriously had to question where he'd be without him.

"Just because it's you" he smiled, touching his finger to Noah's nose before setting him on the floor and watching him run to the cupboard.

- Later that Day -

"Dad, we've been stood outside for the past half an hour. It's cold! My nose is turning blue" Matthew complained, rubbing his gloved hands together while his crossed eyes tried to confirm if his nose was blue.

Blaine was staring at Kurt's door, had been forever it felt like. Matthew was right, it was freaking freezing out here and he had no idea what he was doing here. Yes, Matthew had managed to talk some sense into him this morning, but still. What was he doing here? What was he going to say and how did he expect Kurt to react?

Moving his hand, preparing to knock like he had 4 times in the past minute, he once again hesitated. "What do I say?" he asked no one in particular. "I was such an idiot last night. I mean it's almost 4pm and I haven't spoken to him once. He probably hates me. Especially after I told him I'd call. I haven't called" he said dejected.

Matthew slipped his gloved hand into his, "Dad you finally admitted that you like Mr Kurt and you know, that I know that you know, he doesn't deserve those nasty people with the big cameras. And you like Mr Kurt too much to stop following him" Matthew explained waving his other arm dramatically.

Blaine looked down to his son, his son who was smiling at him so happily, so excited. He was glad his son was smiling, but if this was to go wrong, he couldn't make amends. He'd be the one having to disappoint and console Matthew all for the mistakes he'd made. "Matthew-" he started, unsure of how or what he was going to explain.

"Dad!" Matthew complained, rolling his eyes. "I finally got you to admit it! Don't make me drag it out of you again" he said clasping his hand in both of his, "please don't Dad. It's ex-hausting! Last night you were scared and 'stoopid.' This morning you're smart and brave," he laughed. "So be brave" Matthew sighed gesturing towards the door.

Smiling down at his son, that hopeful, loving look still in his eye after everything they'd had to discuss this morning. In his sons eyes, his smile and that little dimple in his cheek, he found courage. So with that thought, he raised his hand to Kurt's front door, this time he intended to knock.

Okay, so it may have taken him a minute or two to work up the courage. His sons impatient bouncing being the only thing telling him he was taking too long. Do it Blaine, you need to make this up to him somehow and you need to do it soon. "Right, okay" he said to himself as if he was preparing himself for battle. "You can do this, knock Blaine. Knock."

His hand was still poised in the knocking position, yet still not moving. "Dad, this is a lot like Frozen and I'm doing everything to stop from being Olaf" Matthew said seriously, staring at the door. "You do know how to knock right?" he asked sarcastically and Blaine was the one to roll his eyes this time.

Cracking a smile, he took one more deep breath, "okay. I can do this" Blaine said to his son who was watching him. "I can do this" he said a little more convinced and Matthew nodded in agreement. "I can, and I will do this" he said to the door, finally allowing himself to do this. He wanted to knock, he wanted to see Kurt.

The way he'd been yesterday had him second guessing Kurt and being a part of this life, a life he hadn't asked for. Would Kurt second guess him now? Forget it Blaine he said shaking his head, the only way this will work is to work it out. Knock god damn it.

And so he did.

Almost.

Just as he was about to knock, Matthew squeezing his hand in reassurance, the door opened and he almost hit Rachel in the face. "What the- Blaine? What are you doing here?" Rachel asked dodging his fist. Her tone had him wondering if she was happy he was here or upset, her voice shook in a way he couldn't decide.

Dropping his hand that was still hanging awkwardly in midair, he took a hesitant step back. He hadn't thought about them being here, but now that he should've thought about it, he should've known they wouldn't leave Kurt. Not like the way he did. Not like how he'd abandoned him. "I, I umm" he said running his had through his hair in a way that made it very clear, to both Santana and Rachel, that he was very uncomfortable.

"He's here to tell Mr Kurt he's sorry for being a jackass-" Matthew answered for him. Ignoring it when both Blaine and Santana scolded him for using such language. "-that and he finally realised he wants to be with Mr Kurt forever."

"Mattie!" Blaine scolded, his blush evident all over his face and neck, thank god he was wearing a scarf, he didn't need for the girls to see that. Not under these circumstances.

At the same time Blaine called his son out, Rachel and Santana turned to him with evident smiles. "You did!?" Rachel shouted obviously beaming while Santana's was said with more of an 'about time' attitude;' "you do?!" Though her happiness was still evident.

"Oh Blaine I'm so glad you're here" Rachel said taking his free hand, "Kurt's been strong all morning but he was such an emotional wreck last night. He thought you were going to take Mattie and leave" she said wrapping her arms around his neck before pulling back. "He was devastated, oh I'm so glad you're here."

"He thought about it" Matthew said sadly looking up at Rachel with his gleaming eyes. Tapping his son on his arm Blaine shrugged his shoulders, mouthing 'what.' Matthew looked at him all innocent and shrugged back, "what? You did" he nodded glancing between the two girls. "But I managed to talk some sense into you so that's why we're here to stay" he smiled proudly.

If only it were that simple, a red-faced Blaine thought as he turned his attention back to the two girls. Rachel was glaring and he couldn't blame her. Santana however put her hand on her shoulder, "calm down Rach. It always effects you that first paparazzi run in and what matters is that he's here now."

Blaine smiled his thanks and she nodded once in response. Her frown turning into a soft smile, "he may be 24 hours late, but at least he's here" she teased. Rachel smiled, Matthew laughed and suddenly Blaine felt a little bit better. If the girls could forgive him, did that mean Kurt would too?

"Santana, oh I'm glad I caught you," came a voice from behind the door. A voice he'd recognise anywhere for the rest of forever. A voice that terrified him, what would Kurt say? How would he react? His sudden good mood vanished. Kurt had the power to ruin his life. But then he had to take into account that he had the power to ruin Kurt's.

Woah. He has the power to ruin Kurt's life? He'd never thought about it like that before, but if that's true then what the hell had he done yesterday? Rachel had said Kurt had been a wreck last night, devastated. What had he put him through? What had he done?

Blaine let out the breath he didn't know he was holding and prepared himself for when Kurt would notice his presence. Whatever reaction that brought, he would be ready. "You left your scarf upstairs" Kurt said standing at the door, he was smiling Blaine noted, and he was relieved to know he hadn't ruined today too.

Kurt was standing right in front of him, wearing a beautiful mint green shirt, emerald green patterned tie with dark washed skinnies and completely unaware of his prescence. "What are you guys still doing here?" Kurt asked looking down at his hands, "I was sure I was going to miss you and have to bring it ove- Blaine?!" Kurt practically screeched when he eventually noticed him.

And Blaine being the stupid idiot that he is, waved in response with a smile that looked unnatural, forced. He could see Matthew drop his head into his hands and- oh my god what am I doing. He knew he was blushing. Santana and Rachel were laughing at him and now he just felt stupid and uncomfortable, not brave at all.

Kurt continued to stare at him, his mouth open and eyes wide. Soon enough he found his voice and Blaine was a little surprised and relieved with his first port of call. "Oh my god are you guys okay?" He asked, moving forward between the two girls and dropping to his son's level.

"Matthew are you okay?" He asked putting his hands on his sons shoulders. "Are you okay buddy?" That meant a lot to Blaine, his first concern was his son's safety, their safety. Whatever issues were going on between them, no matter what Kurt thought was happening, their safety came first. Kurt's main concern was their welfare, and that went a long way with Blaine.

"We're okay Mr Kurt!" Matthew replied nodding. "But are you okay? Last night would've been much worser for you" his son reasoned and Blaine had to roll his eyes. Wasn't it enough that Blaine was here. Was his son going to keep rubbing it in that he was smarter than him and if his son wasn't trying hard enough, he turned ho him with a smirk Blaine just wanted to wipe off his face.

Suddenly Matthew's face dropped with concern, "oh my days! Noah! How's Noah?! Is he okay?" His son asked taking one of Kurt's hands. Smiling at Matthew, it was obvious Kurt was till processing the fact that they were here.

Blaine had to admit he was still kind of surprised by it all too. "Noah's fine I promise, but if you don't believe me you can go and ask him. He's upstairs in his room."

Blaine watched his sons face light up like a Christmas tree, "I can?"

"Of course you can" Kurt replied. Matthew turned to him, he's eyes asking the question he didn't need to say. All it took was a single nod and Matthew was running up the stairs like a madman, shouting Noah's name as he went.

Kurt slowly stood back up, finally the two were face to face but he had no idea what to do or say now. Where was he to start? There was so much he had to apologise for. He could feel himself blushing again, his hands were sweating as he shoved them in his pockets. Now that he was here and alone, he had no idea where to start.

Looking at Kurt, his eyes had lost their brightness from yesterday. His eyes were tired. He'd been smiling, yes, but it was obvious he'd had very little sleep, the skin under his eyes red from the tears he'd no doubt shed. He'd done that, Blaine had forced this upon him by being a dickhead.

"Kurt-" he didn't know what he was going to say or how this situation would end, but he needed to say something.

Rachel coughed, "that's our cue to leave" she said stepping forward and doing everything she could to go around them instead of squeezing through. "Ring me later?" He heard her ask, more or less demand, Kurt as she hugged him.

Santana walked behind him and put a gentle hand on his back, "you'll be fine B. Alright? You really scared him last night just be there now," she offered and all Blaine could do was nod his thanks. She smiled at him before moving to kiss Kurt on the cheek, "tomorrow Kurt."

The two girls walked slowly, arms linked and Blaine suddenly realised he hadn't said goodbye. "Bye girls" he called, doing that stupid wave thing again. Why had he started waving all of a sudden?! Waving is stupid. Santana and Rachel turned to him smiling, both waving back before turning and picking up their pace, no doubt talking about what they believed would happen here.

Continuing to watch the girls leave, it took Blaine a minute to turn back to Kurt. He'd scared Kurt last night, Kurt thought he'd leave. That hurt him, Blaine hated the idea that Kurt didn't think they'd stay, yet he knew he couldn't hold it against him.

He'd given Kurt every reason to think he was going to leave. What was worse? He'd actually considered leaving. It had taken his 5 year old son to convince him that leaving wasn't even an option. "Kurt" he started again, finally turning to the man he'd hurt.

Kurt was keeping a straight face, trying to look unfazed about what was happening, and usually that would've thrown Blaine off. But there was that light in his eyes, that innocent idea of hope. That was what pushed him to continue. "I was a dick" he admitted, laughing at himself, "a complete and utter dick."

Okay, so the fact that Kurt was laughing made him feel a lot better. "I'm sorry about the way I abandoned you last night" he said taking Kurt's hand and hoping he wouldn't mind. "I panicked and it was absolutely terrifying" he shamefully admitted dropping Kurt's gaze. "And I was worried about Matthew and I panicked that that would be his life if we stayed together, if we kept doing this."

Looking at Kurt, who was now staring at the floor, he hated himself for admitting it. But if they wanted to move past this, they had to be honest and work through it together. "I know how horrible that sounds but I wasn't thinking of myself, I wasn't thinking about the fact I want to stay with you forever. I was thinking as a Father, not as a love struck fool."

Kurt wasn't saying anything, and in all fairness Blaine didn't expect him too. And he kind of didn't want him too, he wanted to say his piece first, then he knew he'd done everything in his power to try and fix this. "I'm sorry I left you and I'm sorry I didn't call or say anything.

"I'm sorry that I made you think that I'd break my promise of forever," his voice breaking with his honesty, "and I'm sorry it took my 5 year old son yelling at me to realise." Kurt was looking at him, the tears pooling in his eyes were easily seen and the light had slowly started to return to them.

Smiling inwards, Blaine knew he was on the right track. He was finally doing something right. "I know you didn't ask for this life, not this early anyway" he reasoned, smiling for being such an idiot. "You don't deserve it as much as we don't. You suffer more from it then we could and I'm sorry for going into 'Daddy-Mode' and not seeing clearly."

Kurt squeezed his hand and Blaine couldn't help but smile in response. His smile wasn't that forced any more and Blaine was pretty sure that, if they could get through this, they could get through anything. "Now I told you that Mattie and I would follow you and Noah anywhere and forever" he smiled.

Being courageous, he took a small step towards the man he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. "And I may have lost sight of the path for a little while" he said grinning when Kurt dropped his gaze, smiling like an idiot, but a beautiful idiot of course. "But I promise you, if you let me, I will never lose sight of it again."

It wasn't much, just words really, but right now that was all he had. He just hoped Kurt would allow him the time to make it up to him with actions. Kurt was shuffling on the spot, staring down at the floor but Blaine was sure he could see him smiling.

Well, Kurt hadn't let go of his hand and that was definitely a good sign. The silence continued and Blaine wasn't even all that nervous, he knew Kurt would need time and he knew, he didn't no how, but he knew they would be okay.

Finally Kurt looked back to him, his beautiful grey eyes gleaming in the afternoon sun, smiling his favourite teeth showing smile. "Well, if you do stray I'm sure Matthew will be the first to get you going in the right direction again" Kurt said, the evidence of a blush appearing on his neck.

Laughing, Blaine smiled at Kurt, not sure what to say. He was just so grateful that he was willing to give him this chance. That Kurt wouldn't hate him forever. "I promise to never stray" he said with a laugh. "If I do, I give the three of you permission to do whatever it takes to knock some sense into me" he chuckled, stepping closer.

To his surprise Kurt moved forward too, dropping his hand and for a moment Blaine panicked, but it was only so Kurt could wrap his arms around his neck instead, a move that took him by surprise. "Well" Kurt said quietly, so only they could hear, not that anyone else was around. "I promise to do everything I can to make you want stay on the path" he spoke softly, looking up at him from under his eye lashes.

Looking at Kurt, so close, so beautiful, he had to let out a relieved laugh. "You're already doing everything" Blaine said sincerely, no matter how cheesy he knew it was, but Kurt laughed so he knew it was a remark well made.

After spending a minute or two just watching, looking at each other Blaine decided he could do this forever. "You know, I understand how you reacted last night" Kurt said softly, playing with the hair at the nape of his neck. "I'm not mad at you for putting your son first. I was just scared that I'd lost you and Matthew" he admitted shyly.

That right there, the way Kurt was always willing to put himself out there, allow himself to be vulnerable for him, no matter how much he hated it. That right there is one of the many reason's Blaine knew, even if he lost sight of it for a while, that this was it. Kurt was his forever. "You could never lose me" he admitted seriously. "I lost sight yes, but I could never bring myself to walk away from you forever."

Blaine smiled at the man he was in love with. It may be too soon, maybe too much, but that was okay because he knew this was it. That this was the start of his happy ending. He was one hundred percent sure that, even with their ups and downs, the four of them were going to be in this thing forever. The start of 2 families merging as 1.

Shrugging he laughed "no matter what happens, I don't ever want to walk away." Kurt shook his head and ducked his gaze, in embarrassment or disbelief he wasn't sure. "Kurt I mean it" he laughed moving his hand to the back of Kurt's neck, just to make sure he was looking at him. "No matter what the paparazzi do, no matter what the press say I will always be by your side. The good times and the bad."

Kurt fluttered his eye lashes and Blaine didn't understand how his eyelashes could do that to him. "Last night I had this fleeting feeling of what it would be like to not have you or Noah in my life. To have to let you both go" Blaine said, moving his hand to Kurt's cheek. "It was horrible Kurt, I've known you for a few weeks and it may be too much too soon, but I never want to live a day without you" he smiled, forcing himself to stop talking. He was already blushing to his hairline.

Kurt too was blushing, his skin from his hairline to the visible nape of his neck was a delicious red. The smile on his face was one he'd never expected to see after his actions last night, but yet Kurt was here. Holding him, stroking his hair. His gaze flicking between Blaine's eyes and his mouth. Blaine knew what he wanted and he wanted it too, but now wasn't the right time.

Smiling at him, Kurt seemed to pick up on it too. Dropping his arms to link their hands Kurt smiled, "did you wanna come up stairs?" He asked, his tone vulnerable yet hopeful like the first time Kurt asked him to take a walk through the park. "Go make sure the boys haven't broken anything?" he continued in the similar way to the rambling he does when he's nervous.

"Yeah" Blaine smiled back giving his hand a squeeze, "I'd love too."

"What do you think Daddy and Mr Blaine are talking about?" Noah asked from where the two of them were perched with their faces pressed against the window, watching their Dad's conversation play out.

"They're definitely talking about last night" Matthew nodded. "We talked about it this morning. Silly ad was gonna walk away" he supplied, disgruntled.

Noah turned to him scandalised, "walk away!? From what!? Me and Daddy?" Noah asked welling up, "why would he do that?!" The tears were pooling in his eyes, "why would he want to leave us?"

"No, no, no!" Matthew explained, shaking his hands in front if him. "No. Dad was really scared last night Noah. Really scared, I'd never seen him so upset before, it was really really scary."

Noah was still looking at Matthew confused, "but what does that have to do with him leaving Daddy and me?"

"Dad was really scared that something was gonna happen to me or you or Mr Kurt" Matthew supplied, "he was scared that he would lose you because of those nasty people with the big camera's!" Matthew was almost yelling in his haste, "Dad panicked that the 'papa-razi' would be too much for us."

Noah's bottom lip was quivering and Matthew wrapped his arms around him, "so what changed for Mr Blaine to be here now" Noah asked, wrapping his arms around Matthew and looking back out the window.

Looking down Noah could see his Daddy's arms wrapped around Mr Blaine's neck and Noah smiled, glad to see that something good was going to happen to his Daddy. He knew he'd been upset last night, he didn't know what about, but maybe Mr Blaine would be able to make him feel better.

Matthew coughed, moving to look out the window, wiping at his eyes. "I told Dad that he was being silly. That Mr Kurt and you didn't deserve the nasty people and that you guys needed to have people around to help you. Not leave you" he explained as cheery as only a 5 year old boy could.

Noah and Matthew shared a smile before returning to the more interesting view outside the window. "With that and the fact that my Dad is head over heels in love with your Daddy, it made it easy to talk him out of his crazy phase."

Noah stepped away from the window, hands raised in front of him wearing a strange expression. "You do realise what this means don't you?" he asked looking away from the window giving Mr Blaine and his Daddy some privacy.

Matthew followed suit, "what do you mean? What does what mean?" he asked looking around the room completely confused.

"We could be brothers!" Noah exclaimed, clapping his little hands and jumping in excitement. "Isn't that cool?! We could be real life brothers!"

Matthews jaw fell open and Noah squealed. "We could?" Matthew asked, still a little confused. "Are you sure?" He said with wide eyes, "we could be like real brothers? How!?"

Noah nodded excitedly, squealing like the 5 year old he was and not the older kid he seemed to be. "We could be brothers!" He squealed throwing his arms around Matthew. "If Mr Blaine and Daddy fall madly in love and ended up getting married and living happily ever after, we could be living together and that would make us brothers" he explained, the two jumping up and down.

"Well they're already madly in love, so we can check that one off" Matthew supplied. "I can't believe we could be brothers and living together one day!" Matthew said breathlessly against his neck, his arms wrapped around his waist. "I've always wanted a brother" he continued talking to no one in particular.

Noah laughed, "I hope you don't mind me" he smiled, loving the idea that his Daddy and Mr Blaine could be together and maybe move in together and he and Matthew would be brothers. Like actual brothers. He'd always wanted a brother too.

Matthew shook his head, smiling. "Nah, you'd make a pretty awesome brother Noah! We can share clothes and everything" he squealed, finally the excitement catching up to him. "And we could 'coodinate' outfits together instead of nights before!"

"We can put on mini fashion shows for Daddy and Mr Blaine" Noah smiled, pulling back. The two hands linked as they jumped up and down.

Then suddenly Matthew came to a stop, "wait. You can't call Dad Mr Blaine if we're going to be brothers" Matthew said confused.

"Oh. You're right" Noah said, hand on his hip in confusion. "Well what would I call him then? And what would you call my Daddy? We can't call them by their proper names because that's just weird. Kids don't call their Daddies by their real names" Noah thought out loud.

Matthew shrugged, "I don't know." The two looked at each in silence, unsure of what to do. "We can make up a name!" Matthew called suddenly excited, "I'll get the crayons and then we can run the choices with our Dad's later!?"

Noah nodded, his grin pretty much taking over his face, "let's do this" he exclaimed. The two high-fiving before running off towards Noah's crayon box in the front room.

Kurt was stood next to Blaine just inside the door to his lounge. They'd just witnessed their children's conversation about happy endings, the possibility of becoming brothers and the question about what they'd call the other's Dad. "You know, I think that question answers itself" he smiled turning to Blaine with a content smile.

"What do you mean?" Blaine asked, looking at him with his beautiful honey eyes and that smile he thought he'd never get to see again. And boy was he glad he got to see that smile again. Today and every day for the rest of his life if he was lucky.

Kurt shrugged, squeezing Blaine's hand, "you know." Blaine shook his head but there was a light in his eyes that was there because he knew exactly what he meant. Rolling his eyes, Kurt obliged. "Well" he said hoping he wasn't crossing a line, "the boys would call me Daddy and you Dad." He left his sentence hanging in the air like a question as he watched Blaine take it in, "it just makes sense" he shrugged.

Blaine's smile eventually turned into a full blow grin and Kurt was glad to see he approved. "Sounds perfect" Blaine smiled, finally giving into the temptation and kissing him, only lightly on the lips but it was a feeling Kurt would cherish forever. "How did you want to tell the kids?" Blaine asked, pressing their forehead together.

Forehead still against Blaine's he turned to watch their two boys happily writing names down on paper. "What's the point in telling them?" He asked with a chuckle, "those two knew what was happening before we did."

The pair laughed, smiling at each other before turning to watch their kids. Blaine's hands were now on his waist and Kurt didn't want to move and as Blaine made no attempt to move he assumed he didn't want to either. It was comfortable here. Standing here, just watching their boys laugh as they came up with names, it was perfect.

Blaine was here, he was staying. He'd had his moment of doubt and then he'd had his moment of clarity. He wanted him, regardless of the paparazzi and press, Blaine wanted to be with him and Noah. Regardless of everything. That made Kurt feel so, happy. Finally there was someone out there able to restore his faith in men. Not that it mattered because he'd never want another one.

Blaine's hand would twitch at his side every now and then, a response to something their kids would do and it was comforting. Blaine was here, and he was here to stay. They were back on track, if not fast forwarded a little. Obviously their sons knew exactly what was happening, and there was no point hiding it now.

If they'd survived this, Kurt was pretty sure they'd be able to survive anything, which was always a good thing when there were young children involved. Now, as soon as it was considering the short time span of their relationship, he could think about the future. And as much as he wanted to think about Blaine moving in and the idea of redecorating the house with him, maybe even moving into a house they bought together.

There was one very special event that was coming up soon and it could just be the start of something great. "Blaine" Kurt asked turning to face him instead of their children, his tone indicating he was after something, which wasn't technically true. Blaine hummed in response, not looking away from their kids. "Well you know I have that big Fashion launch next Sunday?"

That caught Blaine's attention, "yeah. It's the biggest launch before the Winter season kicks in" he stated, his eyes shining with curiosity and Kurt was a little taken aback that Blaine knew that. "What about it?" he asked grinning like an idiot and it made Kurt's heart skip a beat.

Putting his hand on Blaine's chest he looked up from under his lashes,"I mean, it's just an idea but I was wondering if you would like to accompany me" he said watching Blaine carefully. "As my date" he added cautiously, smiling awkwardly even though he was sure of Blaine's answer.

Blaine was looking at him, his eyes searching, for what he wasn't quite sure. "I thought that" Kurt hurried to continue, "as I'm sure those horrible pictures are out there and will soon be everywhere, that we could maybe confirm the story ourselves. Go public in the hopes that they'll stop chasing us for an exclusive" he rambled.

"If we choose to go public at such an event, the decision, and the story is ours to control" he hurried to continue. Kurt refused to drop his gaze and continued to keep eye contact with Blaine as he turned the idea over in his head.

He saw him glance towards their kids with concern, and after last night he couldn't Blaine him. Thankfully he'd thought of a plan before last night had happened. "The boys don't have to come" Kurt smiled. "I spoke to my Dad last week. He's offered to come up and look after Noah that weekend and he'd be more than willing to look after Matthew too" he supplied hopefully.

"I mean, they've been invited but I figured just in case it would be good to have a back up plan" he supplied wishing he'd kind of stop talking. "It's not that I don't want them there" he hurried, not wanting Blaine to get the wrong idea. "I just figured in case we were to go public, we wouldn't want something like yesterday to happen around them. I mean we can deal with it, but it would be harder for those two and I mean-"

Blaine put a gentle finger to his lips, "Kurt stop talking" he laughed. "You're doing that thing when you ramble because you're nervous" he smiled, "and you have nothing to be nervous about."

Kurt let out a breath and visibly relaxed, why was he so nervous all of a sudden? "Really?" He asked, just for that extra reassurance.

"Really" Blaine nodded, moving his hands to his chest, straightening his tie. "I think it would be a great idea if the two of us went alone to tell the world about our relationship" he smiled and Kurt could tell that Blaine was actually excited about the idea and that made him feel excited about the event too.

"Are you sure your Dad won't mind looking after Matthew and Noah though?" Blaine asked, probably worried about being a burden again.

Kurt's hands were now resting on Blaine's chest, and he was smiling. "My Dad hasn't seen Noah in a few weeks, so he was more than happy to come down. Plus he's very excited to meet the two boys I can't stop gushing about whenever we're on the phone."

Blaine blushed, slowly moving his hands up to his shoulders, "you're unbelievable, you know that?" he said smiled.

"I've been told that before, yes" he supplied laughing as he slowly moved his hands up Blaine's chest and around his neck, taking that small step closer. "But it sounds much better coming from your lips" he said, unashamed to admit that he was flirting.

Blaine was looking at his lips and being very obvious about it, "I guess I'll just have to make sure I say it more often then." Kurt was very thankful that Blaine then proceeded to press their lips together, and if Kurt's hands just so happened to end up pulling on Blaine's hair, then he was thankful for that too.

And this time Blaine didn't hold back, his teeth biting against his lower lip and Kurt would be lying if he said he wasn't surprised, but he welcomed it. Giving Blaine as good as he got. Blaine had a hand on his waist and one on his cheek, his thumb caressing his cheek as the two kissed, all teeth and tongue.

Grasping at the Blaine's hair, Kurt wouldn't change a minute of this. Kissing Blaine was like fireworks, it was a feeling he hadn't felt in such a long time, and one he didn't expect to have again. Pulling back, lips red Kurt pressed his forehead against Blaine's. "Please don't ever stop kissing me like that" he chuckled breathlessly, a little embarrassed at his unexpected remark.

Blaine laughed, satisfied. "It's a good job I don't plan to" he grinned leaning forward to kiss him again. This time it was gentle, it was loving. Their lips moving gently in time, a seal, a promise. A promise that Blaine never would stop, a promise of forever.

"Daddies!" Their sons called in exasperation and Kurt laughed, pulling away. Pulling Blaine against him, wrapping his arms around his neck and holding him flush against him. "Not in front us" Matthew complained while both boys covered their eyes.

Blaine and Kurt watched their kids from their intertwined position and Kurt couldn't help but like the idea of this becoming a normal reaccurance in his life.. "Don't watch then" Blaine laughed pointedly kissing him again.

Noah and Matthew shook their heads in false annoyance and at that moment, Kurt had never been more sure that he was ready for this to become the rest of his life. Both boys ran to them, Noah wrapping his arms around Blaine's legs and Matthew doing the same to his.

"It's about time you guys" Matthew groaned, squeezing his leg and straining his neck to look up at him, smiling that adorable, dimple smile.

Noah looked at Blaine with such a sweet expression, it forced a lump formed in his throat. "Does this mean we'll be together for ever?" he asked softly, watching Blaine with such care, it was beautiful.

Kurt and Blaine shared a look, the two communicating with their eyes. Letting go of the other they moved to pick up their sons, holding them close before wrapping their free arms around the others waist. "Forever" they agreed, and aforever it would be.
