Dragon speech

Jamie laughed as Jack led his sled left and right. The two hadn't heard from their friends in a while.

Jamie had been quick to ask Jack several questions.

"Why are new Guardians being chosen?" He asked when Jack slowed the sled down so they could take a break. Jack simply shrugged at the question.

"I don't know...but then again, no one ever really tells me anything."

Jamie chuckled at his pout.

The two friends sat in silence, waiting for their friends to come back.

He could sense her. The cool sensation that she brought with her that reminded him so much of the almost never ending winter of Berkeley. His eyes looked out carefully, looking between the trees, hoping to find a splash of white in the ever growing greens of three forest.

He wasn't alone in this, but upon hearing her name, what she's called, he knew he would have come alone if he had to. After all, all dragons have a well hidden secret. One that had almost killed them, and why? Because one had to fall for a human. No one knows who that dragon was, but upon learning their secret, humans began hunting them.

He couldn't blame them really, they had been fooled. But, the humans took it too far. Never once stopping to consider, consider that they might be more alike than they seem.

His ears perked up when he heard rustling. And then he saw it, that iridescent shade of blue and white.

She was here. His divine beauty.

"Asta."

Hiccup looked at Toothless and raised an eyebrow. The Night Fury let out a small screech of a roar and raced forwards. When he did, Rapunzel had to tighten her grip on him.

"TOOTHLESS!" Hiccup yelled.

Zahra, Kura and Merida stared at him as he chased the two. Looking at one another, they shrugged and ran after them as well.

She was here. He knew it. He knew she just had to be here.

Asta. His beautiful Asta.

Toothless put on a determined look, and picked up his pace. He wanted to see her again. This felt too good to be true...

The group kept on running after the Night Fury, dodging branches and jumping over roots as they did.

Hiccup grumbled, the girls behind him, more specifically Zahra and Merida, smirked with amusement as he muttered about crazy dragons who never listen to him.

Toothless slowed down and looked at Rapunzel. Using his head, he gestured for her to get off. Slowly, the spirit of spring did as he asked. Once she was off, Toothless continued forwards.

She was close. Very close.

"Asta, please…" He called out.

"Tore?"

Toothless perked up, he looked around, but didn't see anyone or anything but trees.

"Asta, are you close?"

"Tore, I can't ..."

Toothless kept going forwards. His green eyes wide as he looked around. She had gotten quiet.

"Asta, we mean you no harm," he told her. He kept going forwards, and stopped when he spotted her, entwined in vines that kept lashing around her. The vines wrapped around her tightly, keeping her muzzled and in place. She was a small dragon. And seeing her like this, brought back memories. Memories of feeling as helpless as she did. He glared at the vines, thinking carefully about what he could and should do.

Hiccup panted as he caught up with his dragon, the girls slowly filing up behind him. Kura let out a silent gasp and pointed forwards. The group saw Toothless, and right in front of him, bound by living vines, was the Frost Fury.

Rapunzel turned to the two half spirits. Her eyes questioning and full of worry.

Zahra glared at the vines, "This is one reason we didn't let Jamie come, those vines?"

She pointed to them as they kept lashing onto the Frost Fury, immobilizing it more.

"By now, we'd have been too late."

The trio of seasons gulped.

"And this isn't even the worst thing of these woods."

Toothless growled and nearly flinched when he felt a hand on his back. He looked back and saw Hiccup and the girls. Kura stood by his side, her blue and violet eyes staring at Asta.

Toothless let out a small screech. She knew these woods. She could help Asta.

He wanted to do something, but he had heard Zahra. These vines could kill. A human would be dead already, and he didn't want to see Asta die...

He nudged the girl, who turned her eyes to him.

She had to help her. He didn't know why, but it had to be her...

Kura couldn't take her eyes off the dragon in front of her. It was more beautiful in person and up close. She looked at the distressed Night Fury, wondering why he was acting the way he was. Why he had ran through the woods, seemingly on instinct.

'It's almost as if he knew it would be here...but how?'

Kura turned her gaze back to the Frost Fury and nodded to herself. Taking her hand off of Toothless, she clasped it and her other hand together. The group behind her watchers as light burst from them, eventually forming a pair of butterfly knives, both glowing brightly, their yellow light warm.

Kura looked back at them, her eyes locking with Zahra's.

Upon getting a nod of approval, Kura slowly made her way towards the trapped dragon.

The vines sensing her, began to lash out, only to fall as she swung the knives.

Kura put one of the knives at her side, lodging it in her belt chain, and reaching her now free hand towardside the frightened dragon.

Hiccup took Kura's place by Toothless. He took in the pained look of his first real friend.

"Bud,what's wrong?"

Toothless crooned, his body jerking in agitation as he saw Kura do her best to calm Asta.

Hiccup could only watch on, his eyes glancing from Kura and the Frost Fury, to Toothless and back to Merida and Zahra.

'Come on Kura...' he thought as he turned his gaze back to her, keeping his arms on Toothless in hope of calming him.

Kura hacked at the vines vigorously.

"It'll be okay...it's okay..." She murmured, "you're gonna be okay..."

Hesitantly, she reached out to the Frost Fury. She looked up at it, their gazes locking. Both suddenly unaware of anyone or anything else but each other.

Kura let out a small gasp, pulling her hand back and turning to the vines once more. She was almost finished. She started to cut them once again, slashing any new ones that came by.

When she reached the last vine, the Frost Fury took its chance to bolt away.

"WAIT!" Kura yelled. She let the blades she held disappear and made her way to the frightened dragon. She kept quiet, afraid that any sudden movement would scare the Frost Fury away again. Toothless made his way over to her, and nudge her to move over. Kura looked at him before backing away.

"Asta!"

"...Tore?"

The group of five went silent, watching on as Toothless approached the other dragon. They didn't know what he was doing, but it seemed like he was taking charge of the situation.

Review!

So, adding more plot twist, the dragons can turn into humanoids! Of course, they don't do it often, I have a story about Toothless' and Frostbite's relationship and the whole dragon legend.

Tore is Toothless' real name. It's an old norse names that means fighter of Thor
