+Magica: Chapter 10 - Morning Lion
Damier found herself waking up in the small room that was attached to the Gryffindor common rooms. She wasn't sure what to think of the place, as the strangers seemed to inclined to accept them despite their powers, something she wasn't used to. The place she was holed up with was also adorned with an obnoxious level of red, and yet she normally liked red.
She sat up and stretched as the light came into her room. A wide yawn came from her mouth and for a few minutes she went to her +Anima form. She looked at her claws, wondering if this was a chance to start over, yet wondered how anybody would react to finding out. She remembered what had happened to her the first time she'd changed, but the severe beating she'd gotten from the towns folk. She couldn't rmemeber her parents either.
However, a knock upon her door caused her to suddenly change back.
Getting up she walked to the door and saw Hermione and couple of girls waiting for her. "We thought we would escort you to breakfast."
Damier let out a deep sigh and followed after the girls, the boy's looking at her strange red clothing. Of course, boys tended to be perverts, though if one thought about it Cooro seemed an exception to the rule. In some ways she thought he was too dumb to ever be one, yet he was also the type everyone took as completely innocent even when he messed up.
She bit her lip slightly with her canine which simply shortened between her human and +Anima form. Many things weren't fair. Ron glanced at her through half lidded eyes. "You know... you look like a boy."
At that, she felt a vein pop and suddenly jumped into the air landing a good hard downward kick to his skull. She didn't care that the guy was now nursing a fractured skull or not, as he'd been out of place asking that of her. "I am not a boy idiot!"
She then went to the Great Hall to eat breakfast and found a nice spread in front of her. Hermione smiled at her. "Ron really deserved that one."
Damier spoke though clapped her hands. "We're always worrying about food where I come from." She scooped a piece of meet with her fork and swallowed it whole. It tasted good, yet unfortunately the brat decided to continue being a brat.
Ron came down and began eating, only to have his bushy haired friend glare at him. "Do you have to eat like that. You look like a pig."
"You don't lecture her for stuffing her mouth." Ron seemed to want special attention or something.
"That is because she doesn't make a mess and look weird while she does it." Hermione shook her head. In truth, Ron was a slob, getting crumbs all over the place, but not noticing when. At least when Damier did manage to make a mess she notice,d but also disliked it occurring.
The female +Anima swallowed her food. "Plus... I don't speak with my mouth full of food. I know that is impolite. This is why I don't like men. That, and they think you have to be busty and curvy to be female."
"I know what you mean. Ron has never noticed that I am a girl." The bookworm spoke up. In other words the boy was absolutely and utterly clueless and possibly as dumb as Coora, and yet for some reason she felt he was still a pervert.
"I've noticed." Ron muttered, poking his food.
"No... you haven't. You treat me like one of your guy friends and you treat the girls you know differently." Damier thought carefully, and concluded Hermione was pointing to the fact Ron ended up ogling the girls, which wasn't a bad thing, unless you count the fact he was being sexist in doing so.
"So... you're my only female friend, so it doesn't matter." Ron spoke again with food in his mouth causing both girls to suddenly wince. Of course it mattered, but being his only female friend shouldn't have caused that much discrepancy.
It was then that some students from Ravenclaw came down. "So, their special ability is +Anima which is similar to McGonagal's ability."
"I saw it from the window. They have animal attributes but that kid didn't change into a crow or raven, he simply acquired traits." The boy muttered. Damier suddenly slapped a hand to her chest as food went down the wrong tube. Of course, Cooro the idiot would end up showing off his +Anima abilities, as the other +Anima seemed clueless regarding the evils of the world."
"You mean it is an advanced form!" Of that, she wasn't sure what was meant by that.
It was then that she noticed Cooro coming down and she got up and walked over to the male +Anima. "Why did you have to show everyone you +Anima form! You should know full well that from where we come from... you should know!"
And at that she did a kick to the top of his skull much like she had done to Ron that morning. After that, she wanted to be left alone to eat her food, and yet everyone kept staring. Ron chuckled, pointing his fork at her, noting she was discomforted by the fact she stuffed food into her mouth and didn't want people to see that.
"And it doesn't bother you?"
"I'm a guy. You're a girl. Girl's need to cut up their food into dainty, bite size chunks, but eat slowly, else they overeat and become fat." Ron let out a yelp as two girls kicked him under the table, but the other girls seemed quite miffed that he'd said that. "What did I do?"
"Oh, I don't know Ron" Hermione Rolled her eyes. "Perhaps you insulted every single girl at this table by insisting they act like the ideal woman."
"Well, duh, your female!"
This resulted in more kicks.
