Temper Tantrum

No amount of prayer would forgive them
for their sin. They'd defied the world
for it, and God as well –

Even if a higher God did exist, more than
the game they'd born witness to, played within
as pawns…

But even if they hadn't known that, they would not kneel down
and give in; they would fight
and die for their sin, on their own.
