Hey Guys! Thanks a bunch for the reviews. If you mentioned anything to me i said i would write in, i actually have up to chapter 15 of this story written already. I just need to get around to spell checking and uploading it all.
A week had past since that night that Sakura and Naruto had talked. The four genin had continued on with there tree climbing exercise, after a few days, Naruto and Sasuke could do it to the level that Nakashima and Sakura could, so the group spent the time taking it in turns. Two would go and practise there tree climbing, one would stay with Tazuna and Kakashi on the bridge, and one would be guarding Tsunami and Inari. They would change every day, with the exception of Kakashi who would always stay at the bridge.
It was an early morning that the four genin woke to. They had some breakfast courtesy of Tsunami, and then decided who was doing what today. However, Nakashima had a gut feeling that something very bad was going to happen today.
"Sakura, can I talk to you for a minute." Nakashima asked.
"Yeah sure" Sakura said with a smile, and Nakashima lead her to another room of the house.
"Listen, I don't know why, but I feel that something very bad is going to happen today. I've already told Kakashi and he seems to think it's just my nerves getting to me. But even so, I want you to make me a promise." Nakashima said in a serious tone of voice.
This surprised Sakura a bit. but she nodded her head.
"I know Naruto told you about his childhood last night, I want you to promise if anything happens to me. you'll take care of him for me." Nakashima said in the same serious tone.
"Of course. I would never let him go back the way he was" Sakura said with a smile.
"Good, I'm glad" Nakashima said with a smile.
The two then left the room and rejoined up with the others.
It was decided then that Sasuke would be practising his tree climbing, Naruto would be with Tsunami and Inari, and Sakura and Nakashima would be with Kakashi.
Naruto plopped himself down on the couch, and Nakashima, Kakashi and Sakura headed off for the bridge with Tazuna.
"My god. what is this!" Tazuna yelled as the four arrived at the bridge. Bodies of all the worker's were scattered across the bridge, however they seemed to be all still alive.
"M. Monster" One of the workers groaned out before he lost consciousness.
"Dammit.. I knew something was going to happen today!" Nakashima thought.
"I knew he was still alive, he just could couldn't wait for round 2" Kakashi thought
A heavy mist settled on the bridge, but Nakashima for some reason, could feel the Chakra laced in the mist.
"I can feel it... the chakra... I couldn't do that before" Nakashima thought quickly
The mist surrounding the bridge got thicker and thicker, until nothing could be seen in a 2 foot radius from the group
"Nakashima, Sakura, get ready." Kakashi said, and both the genin got into a group around Tazuna.
"Kakashi sensei, this is Zabuza's hidden mist jutsu isn't it" Sakura asked, a little shaken
"Yes it is" Nakashima said firmly
"Hello Kakashi, Sorry to keep you waiting. Oh looks like that brat has finally come around. And he's trembling." Zabuza called out from somewhere in the mist. and sure enough Nakashima hands were shaking.
Without warning, 6 Zabuza's appeared around the group all with swords drawn.
"I'm trembling from excitement motherfucker." Nakashima said, and then pulled out 6 kunai, and threw them up in the air just above his head, and then with his left hand on his head, and a quick thrust of his hand, all 6 kunai embedded themselves in each of the Zabuza's.
"I've been training my jutsu, and I've mastered a whole new level of it". Nakashima said with a smirk. He knew it was completely false, all he did was pick up a few more little tricks.
"I felt the Chakra in those... they were all clones... Is this part of my Jutsu, Or maybe its something else"... Nakashima thought quietly.
"Oho, so you could tell they were water clones. Impressive." Zabuza said. and then two figures appeared from the mist, one was Zabuza, and the other was what Nakashima assumed was the hunter nin.
"It appears you have a rival Haku." Zabuza said.
"So it seems" Haku said.
"So, you're the so called hunter nin I've heard so much about." Nakashima said with a smirk.
"You had it right Nakashima, it was all an act, with a cute little mask" Kakashi said.
"Figures, doesn't surprise me though, looks like that these two have been playing that card for a long time." Nakashima said.
"Who does he think he's fooling with that mask anyway" Kakashi said.
"Speak for yourself Kakashi sensei." Sakura said.
"The hunter nin is mine, Kakashi, keep Zabuza busy would you." Nakashima said with a smirk.
"Wait a minute, I'm the Juno, Shouldn't I be calling the shots?," Kakashi thought to himself and chucked quietly
"The boy's impressive, even though they were 1/10th the strength of the original water clone jutsu, he took them out with one move." Haku said quietly to Zabuza.
"Indeed, but that move gave us the advantage, use it" Zabuza said firmly.
"Right" Haku said, and then starting spinning her way with great speed across the bridge to where Nakashima was standing.
"What the hell?" Nakashima said and then drew another kunai to block the incoming attack.
With a clang, Nakashima blocked the senbon attack with the kunai, and the two traded blows, spinning and manoeuvring around to try and get a strike in on each other. after a few blows, Nakashima and Haku were both blocking each other with one hand, fighting for dominance.
"We're not after you, we're after the bridge builder. If you give up now, I won't have to kill you." Haku said
"Not a chance" Nakashima said with a smirk.
"Your making a big mistake, you won't be able to keep up with my speed, I've gained 2 key advantages.
"Oh really? Enlighten me?" Nakashima said, the smirk not leaving his face.
"One, were Surrounded by water, two, I've blocked one of your hands. You only have one hand to defend yourself." Haku said.
Haku, using his free hand, starting weaving hand signs.
"Holy shit, One handed hand signs. That's annoying" Nakashima thought .
"Hand signs with a single hand, I've never seen that before" Kakashi thought.
"Secret jutsu, a thousand needles of death." Haku called out and then slammed the ground with his foot, causing a large amount of water to fly up into the air around him.
Nakashima watched as the water split up and turned into a thousand senbon
"Water senbon huh, Interesting." Nakashima thought
Nakashima watched as the senbon hovered in the air and started flying towards him.
"Impressive, one handed Hand signs. But I can do better." Nakashima said with a smirk.
As the senbon were flying towards him, Nakashima held up his free hand, and concentrated on stopping the needles. It was a complete gamble, but Nakashima had faith in his abilities.
Haku watched wide eyed as all the senbon that were flying towards Nakashima stopped, and stayed floating in mid air
"What, he stopped the senbon without even using a hand sign. It must be that jutsu that he used last time he fought Zabuza. It appears he has more strength than we thought."Haku thought quickly.
"Well that was a gamble.." Nakashima thought, Surprised he wasn't a human Pincushion right now
Nakashima smirked and with a quick flick of his wrist, all the senbon changed target and headed straight for Haku.
"What's " Haku yelled. Quickly pushing Nakashima hand away, Haku jumped back to avoid the hail of water needles flying towards her. The senbon crashed into the ground and broke like glass, turning back into liquid.
"He was able to throw my own attack back at me in an instant.." Haku thought and then calculated her next move.
Nakashima who had regained his footing after being thrown by Haku, Charged full force at him.
Haku however saw the attack coming and quickly blocked again with a senbon needle.
"My god she's quick, I need to step up my game." Nakashima thought, as he jumped back to rethink his strategy.
Nakashima needed to match her speed, So he decided to use some of his training.
He quickly made two hand signs, and thrust his hands forward, The mind attack not doing much damage, but with enough force to make Haku loose her balance and footing.
Nakashima quickly channelled all his chakra to his feet, and Rushed at the girl, his speed Doubled from the chakra at his feet.
He threw a punch, which Haku was able to somewhat block, then Nakashima, concentrated like he did with the Kunai, and thrust his hand forward.
"This jutsu is weaker without the hand signs... but hopefully it's enough" Nakashima thought.
And it was, the force of the jutsu sent, Haku flying back across the bridge, crashing into the ground and rolling back to where Zabuza was standing
"Impossible, Nobody can match Haku speed like that.." Zabuza said quietly. and Nakashima smirked.
"I don't really like being insulted... I'm no brat.. im a ninja of the hidden leaf... and you will not defeat me" Nakashima said firmly glaring down the two.
However... Zabuza just started laughing.
"You have improved, But let's see how you fair against me!" Zabuza said and drew his sword, however a small arm in front of him stopped him.
"Zabuza, Please let me fight these ninja my own may. Don't interfere." Haku said firmly.
Zabuza smirked, "So you won't to fight them your own way huh, You were always too soft.. Make it quick Haku. no more fooling around" he said firmly.
"Right" Haku said standing, he then started focusing his chakra, and it started appearing around him.
"Great... now what." Nakashima thought.
The chakra started forming into Flat surfaces, surrounding. Nakashima, and all he could do was watch.
Before he could react, he was surrounded in a dome of Flat pieces of ice.
Nakashima watched as Haku put his hand on one of the pieces of ice, and we went inside it. He then saw a picture on each of the flat pieces... surrounding him..
"There mirror's... But better, if they were mirror's I would see myself... Fuck this isn't good" Nakashima said quietly.
"Now... we will begin, and I will show you how fast I really am." Haku said firmly
"This is gonna hurt... isn't it" Nakashima said and sighed.
Nakashima watched as Haku took a battle stance, and before he could even blink, a senbon flew past him, cutting the side of his arm..
Nakashima screamed in pain as senbon flew past him in every direction, cutting and sticking into various parts of his body.
"Nakashima!" Kakashi yelled out, and charged for the mirror's. But had to jump back from a sword slash delivered by Zabuza.
"Don't worry about your genin Kakashi... He doesn't stand a chance against Haku speed. If you try to interfere, ill kill the bridge builder." Zabuza said firmly, and laughed evilly.
"This isn't good, I just hope Sasuke and Naruto turn up soon".
Little did they know that Naruto was in the middle of fighting some of gato's thugs, and Sasuke was training, completely unaware of what was happening at the bridge
Back with Nakashima, he was being attacked by alot of senbon... trying to find a weakness in this jutsu, and Haku knew that's what he was doing.
"Study each mirror as hard as you like... you won't find any faults.." Haku said calmly.
Nakashima calms himself and thinks... but his thoughts are broken by haku's voice.
"You cannot win this fight. Surrender now and I won't be forced to kill you." Haku said firmly.
Nakashima sighed. "I realise you're the same as me.. your just doing what your told. But what sort of ninja would I be if I backed down from my job... What would zabuza think of you if you backed down..." he said calmly and firmly.
"I see.. Then I have no choice" Haku said firmly.
"I'm dead... I know it Haku, But.. might as well go out with a bang." Nakashima said firmly and smirked, He made two quick hand signs.. And focused as much mental thought as he could muster.. more than last time..
Haku saw this, and started attacking again, a lot faster and aiming for kill points.. he knew was Nakashima was about to do. But before the senbon could hit, Nakashima released his jutsu.
The force smashed 5 of the mirror's, Blew Kakashi, and Zabuza back a good 20 feet, which was completely unexpected. and the force even knocked over sakura, who was at the other end of the monstrous bridge.
The mist on the bridge was even blown around, Covering everyone's vision for a few seconds
Kakashi recovered quickly, and so did Zabuza. Zabuza looked back to see Haku on the ground, but she too also stood quickly, but she was shaken and hurt from the attack.
"That boy's jutsu is incredible" Zabuza said firmly, he then spotted Nakashima lying on the bridge.
"But it was a desperate last attempt." Zabuza said firmly.
Kakashi looked wide eyed when he saw Nakashima. the boy was full of Senbon, he wasn't breathing and his eyes were closed.. Kakashi's first thought... that he was dead.
"No..." Kakashi said quietly. But he couldn't worry right now.. he still had 3 other students to protect.
"Haku, Get the bridge builder." Zabuza said firmly.
"Right." Haku said and began to walk to where the bridge builder was.. before three shuriken flew past and hit Haku in the face.. knocking him down.
Kakashi Zabuza, and Haku looked back to see Naruto and Sasuke standing there, Sasuke looking smug and Naruto looking happy.
"Sorry were late, But heroes show up at the last minute" Naruto said laughing.
Sasuke saw Haku and decided to charge at her... while Naruto simply stood there looking around.
"Where's Nakashima?"He asked, slightly surprised. and slightly worried.
Kakashi sighed and looked down sadly.. "Naruto..I'm sorry.. I I. couldn't..." He said, sadly.
Naruto saw this and went wide eyed... tears stared flowing from his eyes and he turned and looked down the bridge.. to see his best friend sprawled out on the ground... full of needles.
"No..." Naruto said quietly, and ran for his friend.
"Haku, Deal with that brat" Zabuza said firmly.
"Right" Haku said, And kicked Sasuke out the way. He then raced up to where Naruto was.
Sasuke, now with a bruised shoulder, stood up and looked over to Kakashi.
"Damn..." He said and rubbed his shoulder. He looked up and saw the Ice mirror's now regrowing and surrounding Nakashima, and Naruto who was now at his friends side.
"Kakashi, what jutsu is that?" Sasuke asked..
"I'm not sure... I think it's a kekei genkei... Whatever it is... it's strong." Kakashi said firmly.
However Kakashi's battle instinct's kicked in and he ducked quickly, dodging a strike from Zabuza.
"I would be worried about yourself if I were you kakashi!" Zabuza yelled.
Kakashi groaned and dodged Zabuza's attack. However, the two froze instantly when they felt the devastating force of chakra... a chakra so evil it chilled them to the bone.
"I know that chakra... NARUTO!" Kakashi thought.
" Chakra.. so evil!" Sasuke said, he was frozen in fear.
A few moments earlier with Nakashima and Naruto
Naruto flew to his friends side, completely unaware of the enemy approaching from behind him.
"This boy... He fought like a true ninja. In the end, he knew he was dead... He decided to try and save his comrades instead." Haku said calmly, no emotion in her voice.
Naruto turned and saw he was also now surrounded in mirror's.
"This is what it means to be a ninja, Watching your friends die in battle." Haku said firmly. and appeared in the mirror's.
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Naruto Roared out, A dark orange chakra appearing all around him.
(A/N I'm going to stop this here I know the chapter is a lot shorter than the rest of my others.. but it works in well with the story. I'm doing a time skip after this, The rest of the fight is the same as in the anime, Naruto uses his demonic chakra to beat Haku, Kakashi beats Zabuza, the same.
this chapter sucked... It really did... Please if someone reads this and can rewrite this entire fight so its better. I will upload it and give you full credits... I suck at writing battles.
