AN: Sorry for not being on. I'm back to school and life's been as chaotic as ever, and I've been having a huge writer's block. I'm also sad to say that I may not continue any of my stories as I barely have any time and seeing my work, it's much worse a lot ._. I'm also sorry that the chapter's so short :( Thanks to whoever's reading and review would just make my day! Disclaimer: If I owned the Hunger Games, Peeta and me would be married right now, so sadly, no
Katniss
What the hell is going on? I stare at Johanna, who seems to be very distracted, humming as she grabs all the needed clothes to be washed as she hangs up the laundry. I can see her eyes darting around. Who's she looking for? She turns, seeing me staring as she sends me a very artificial smile of sort. I roll my eyes slightly, determined to find out. Ever since the sweet girl, Prim, left, Johanna seems on edge. "Johanna?" I call, walking towards her, glad that I'm wearing my usual slacks and plain white shirt I've managed to take back at my old hellhole. She jumps, turning around as she raises an eyebrow, composing herself. "Yes?" I roll my eyes slightly. "Common Jo. There's something going on that you're not telling me. What is it?" She gulps before giving me that smirk I've hated when I first met her. "Spit it out. You've been tensed for almost a week now." She ignores me, turning back to the clothes as I cross my chest in frustration. "Prim's coming over again today." I can't help but smile ever so slightly, but seeing Johanna made me get back on track. "Stop changing the subject." "Prim comes every Monday and Friday, sometimes even on Saturdays and Sun-" She tries again. "That's enough! Now tell me!" I cry out.
"Tell you what?"
"I don't know. That's why I telling you to tell me."
"But tell you what?"
"Why are you so tense since Prim left?"
Silence.
"Johanna?"
Silence.
"Johanna?"
Silence.
"Johanna! Answer me this instant!"
"Gods woman, lower your voice!" I glare at her as she continues to fiddle with the already done clothes that hangs, drips of water coming down. Just as I was about to strangle the woman right there and then, a little girl in a plaid pink and white dress skips down the dirt road and down towards the house. She waves at the two young adults. Already I can feel my frown melt into a smile. I send one last glare at Johanna before walking towards her, meeting her half way as we go back into the house.
Johanna
I sigh, relaxing right after as she leaves, no sort of impact of her glare hit me as I turn around, straightening myself as blue eyes stare back at me behind a cloak of black. It's my cue. I take one last glance at my quaint little house where Prim and Katniss would be talking as I hang my own cloak over myself before rushing towards the figure, us two disappearing from sight.
