Lily's POV

After a little while of my screaming, Maldor had decided to knock me out to keep from being caught. An hour or so later, I found myself alone in a room bound by ropes. I tried to escape but of course I had no weapons and the knot was pretty tight on it's own. So all I could currently do at this point is wiggle my arms up and down in hopes that I might get it a little loose to slip my hands out of. This, of course, required time that I didn't have.

"Ah Lily, you're awake! Excellent." I saw a figure enter the room that I was unfamiliar with but the forever movement of his body told me he was Maldor. He was a tall man that had darkness flowing through him and the morphing of his body was purple like, almost like...dark matter…Wait, that'd mean Garmadon had made him!

"What do you want with me Maldor? We have yet to battle fairly without you jumping from head to head with everyone else."

He laughed. "Ah yes, I do enjoy mind hopping. But, today I just want to cloud up your mind so that I can access it whenever I please and control you to do my bidding. If I cloud up your mind, I will have the favor by the end of this war and all of Ninjago will be mine!" He laughed evilly before taking off again. Ok, not good, not good!

As I tried to wiggle out of the ropes faster, I couldn't help but wonder if the others were ok.

Zane's POV

No one saw Maldor take Lily, nor did they see which direction he went to. I wanted to be mad but I couldn't bring myself to do it. It wasn't that I didn't have the ability to, it was just that the thought of being mad was replaced immediately by the thought of Lily being hurt by Maldor.

"Where could she be?" I wondered.

"Well, there is one place she could be, but if she is there…then we'll need to take off as of now if we wish to save her in time. Jay, set the ship to go to the dark island. And hurry, it'll take a while on its own."

"Wait, why would he be there?" Kai asked.

He turned towards Kai. "Cause that is where he was created by Garmadon when he was evil."

As soon as I heard that, I decided to go outside and help Cole man the sails. We need to hurry before it's too late!

Lily's POV

Come on rope, get loose! I wiggled it a little more until I felt it become a little loose. Finally! I slipped one of my hands off, followed by the other, and brought them to the front with me. I quickly tried to untie my legs, knowing he could be back any minute at this rate. Once I was untied, I started to feel around the place for it contained no light after Maldor had left. I could only rely on the fact that there was an opening somewhere. I felt like I was being guided by someone and suddenly, I felt a door and opened it quickly, not thinking there would be someone waiting on the other side. "Hello Lily," Maldor said with an evil smile. "I have just brought the package I was waiting on. I think you'll be most glad to see it, since it was what I was made from." He put the package out and showed its contents to Lily.

She gasped and whispered, "Dark matter…"

"Yes and…" Lily knocked Maldor out of the way and started running, running as fast as she could, not knowing where she was going in this place. "Hey! Get back here!"

"Oh Lord, please help me now as I am trying to get away from him!" I whispered, continuing to run.

As soon as I got out of the house, I looked to my surroundings and froze for a few moments before running again. WE'RE ON THE DARK ISLAND? This is bad, very, very bad. No wonder he had that dark matter! He only needed a little bit to touch me and I would've become a zombie/minion. As I pictured how that'd look I shook my head. No, that will not happen. It mustn't.

I tried to look for somewhere to hide, anywhere! But I couldn't figure out a spot that would be good enough to hide from him...I looked up a tree to find an owl's hole that seemed abandoned currently. Well, it'll have to do.

I climbed up the tree and hurried into the hole, barely fitting in the small space. I heard fast footsteps go by and I closed my eyes and waited for them to pass. That was close...When I opened my eyes, I saw a familiar green eyes that were attached to a falcon. Then the eyes turned blue and I heard a voice. "LILY! You're ok!"

"Shhh!" I said, making a 'quiet' sign. "Maldor is still trying to find me."

"Ok. We are on our way to save you. We'll be there in about ten minutes give or take. You'll have to stay with the falcon so we could know where you are."

"Ok, I'll try. Falcon, can you fly all over the area so you can throw Maldor off my trail?"

The falcon's eyes turned green again and it squawked. Then, it took flight.

I went back into the hole more and waited, closing my eyes, hoping that the ninjas would come soon.

Zane's POV

"Yes! She's ok!" I said when I heard the news.

"Yep, but she's hiding from Maldor so whenever we go for her, we need to be careful that we don't attract him her way."

"Alright."

I continued to man the sails and then, before I knew it, we were heading straight into a storm. No… "Cole! Grab on to your rope and don't let go! We're heading into a storm and I don't like the looks of it!"

The winds started to pick up. "SWOOOSH! SHHHHH!" Went the wind. The ship started to rock from side to side, the rope wanting to break loose from my hands but I wouldn't let it. "Rrrrrr!" I growled. I suddenly felt some of the weight be relieved and when I looked behind me, I saw Nathaniel pulling also. "They told me to come out and help," he explained. I could only smile.

We survived the next few minutes as we made sure the sails stayed on, getting wet in the process but not much caring.

"I see land!" Cole announced. And sure enough, there it was. With all of its darkness, there was the island that we had said we'd never return to unless there was a major problem. And now…

"Guys guys! I think Lily is in trouble!" Jay ran out saying.

"What?" Nathaniel and I asked.

"The Falcon was captured and in attempt to save it, Lily gave away her position and now, they are fighting!"

"No, it's too soon!" I said.

"In order to stop them, we'll have to interrupt them, grab Lily, and take off within a moments notice!"

"Then let's hurry up! We're wasting time!" Nathaniel said.

Lily's POV

"Well well, look who came out of their hiding spot for a falcon." Maldor laughed.

I set the falcon down and saw it go, saying, "It deserved to live in peace and not interfere between us, for it is not his battle." My heart was beating faster and faster but I dared not to show the fear I held.

"Ah you are scared mortal, good, you should be. For you should know by now I have the ability to kill you in any way I please. I can change into anything, be anyone, and even become your worst nightmare. That is the way it has always been and no one, not even you, could stand up to me!"

"Well I can sure try Maldor!" I replied.

"With what? You think your God can save you in this situation? You think you can be protected forever?" He laughed. "Then you really don't understand the darkness that I have within me. Now, enough with the chit chat, let's battle." He charged at me.

I dodged and ran. Ok, I don't have any training, I don't know Spinjitzu, and I don't have a weapon…I picked up a slab of wood off the floor and stood my ground. "You think a piece of wood will do? Ha! You are more hopeless than I thought! I pity you…" I looked around and I slammed the wood onto a tree until it broke into two pieces, both having a pointed end that would have the ability to pierce through anything with enough force. He grunted. "I guess you aren't that dumb...no matter!" He charged at me again from the side, his hand changing into a giant claw that planned to kill.

I swung the piece of wood to my left while dodging and felt it pierce through something liquidy. I looked to it and saw the dark matter spreading on it, I let it go and saw Maldor changing rapidly. Then he stopped and she saw him limping a little. "You'll pay for that…" he growled. He started to change into a puma, prowling around me.

"Lily!" I looked to the sky and saw the bounty. Thank you! she thought to herself.

"No! She's mine!" Maldor growled, readying to pounce.

I felt something grab my hand and pull me back just in time before Maldor pounced. I was being pulled up to the sky and I heard a voice in my head saying, The next time we meet will be the final battle. Be ready…

I shook off the message and looked to my rescuer to see it was Zane. When we landed, I hugged him. "Thank you…" I said. I then looked to the others. "Thank you all for saving me."

The ship began to take off towards Ninjago once more and during dinner, Sensei said, "Lily, that was too close for comfort. He could've killed you if you hadn't thought of that method. We need to start training tomorrow for sure."

"Yes Sensei," I replied. I then started off to my room.

"Lily?" I turned to see Nathaniel standing there in the hallway.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Um...I'm really sorry that I chose to believe that Maldor was Zane, I should've known better. It was my fault that he…"

"Nathaniel, what happened happened. Everything happens for a reason Nathaniel, it's not just by accident. So please don't think that what you did made everything your entire fault, I'm safe right?"

He blinked, once more seemingly amazed. "Yes, yes you are."

I smiled. "So now you can go to bed with your mind at ease. Goodnight Nathaniel, sweet dreams!" I waved him 'bye' and went into my room.
