The eerie sound filled the late english night as a little blue police box materialised on a quiet street, half on the curb and the road. A minutes silence ensued as the box finished the materialisation and sat there quietly and still, until a squeaking sound rent the air as the door opened and out stepped a trio of adults, two of whom were women whilst the other was a male from outer space and let the light from inside the box spill out into the street.
"So," One of the women said, looking back at her companions and digging her hands in the pockets of her jeans as she shivered in the cool night air.
"So," The man repeated, "This is it? Your final goodbyes?"
"Doctor, you know as well as anyone that Martha has a family and what they all went through. They're bound to be traumatised by The Master and the Toclafane and the year that never was in the eyes of the world." the other woman said, leaning on the door frame of the blue box and crossing her arms. 'Doctor' looked back at her and rolled his eyes slightly, before he turned back and faced the one called Martha.
"What Rose said is right, Doctor. And you should spend some time with those Time Lords in America. You've just said goodbye to your own species and you haven't even spent a full day with them yet." Martha agreed, walking forwards a little as a door opened at the other side of the street and out stepped a woman who shouted across and caught their attentions, Martha freezing mid-step and turning to the sound and sagging with relief as Rose and The Doctor hugged her and let her go and stood back as she turned tail and ran towards the woman and hugged her fiercely as the two figures walked backwards into the TARDIS and shut the door behind them, the Doctor walking up to the console and pulling a lever gently and sadly, the ship booming as it started its engines and central column started its hypnotic movement.
Leaning against a coral, Rose watched as he stood with his back to the door and leant on the console itself, shoulders shaking ever so slightly.
"She's right, you know, Doctor. You should have spent more time with them." she said, pushing off her post and moving towards him and putting a comforting hand on his shoulder, "We'll have to go back and see them again."
"I know that, but I have a bad feeling that there's something out there, waiting for them to make a step towards revealing themselves to the universe." he replied, sighing and standing up from the console small revelation caught her by surprise as she nodded and spoke up saying, "What like? The Daleks or something bigger and badder?"
"We've already had Daleks in the house. Not to mention I regenerated because of them, multiple times I might add, and the Time Vortex. No, this feels even more bad. Like Cyberman bad."
"Allons-y?" Rose smiled, standing by a lever and putting her hand on it ready as he looked her in the eyes and nodded.
"Allons-y, it is then." he repeated, pushing down on a switch and pointed to her as she readied to push her lever up into position. With a jerk and a groan, their TARDIS went off into space and went crashing back down into the stratosphere with its occupents laughing and shouting the entire time.

"Mom, why did you call us up here and what is the deal with these boxes?" Jazz asked, following her parents into the Ops center, Danny grumbling behind her as Jack pulled him along, Fenton gauntlets preventing him from phasing through his father's grip. Both children had the gifts that their parents had given them a week ago.
"It's about time you learnt of our culture, Jazz, Danny." Maddie said, pausing in the doorway to their room, Danny's groaning becoming ever increasingly louder as he fought to stay awake and rubbed his eyes, saying, "You two realize that last night wasn't a good night for me, don't you?"
"If you let us take some of the slack, then it wouldn't be that much of a problem, sweetie." Maddie answered the half-awake teen as he glared sleepily at her, muttering in ghost all the while. Sighing, Jack turned to his wife and said, "Looks like we need that neural translator more than usual. I can't understand a word he's saying."
"Of course you wouldn't, dad. I'm speaking ghost." Danny retorted, jerking his hand out of his dad's grip and rubbing the forearm and wincing as he rubbed a bruise from his fight with a cdrtain rock-chick ghost in the early hours of the morning. The fight had lasted nearly two hours before Danny had managed to get her in the Thermos and he could fly home and back into bed.
"None of that attitude, Danal Fenton!" Maddie scolded, puting her hands on her hips as Danny looked at her in surprise and curiosity as Jazz stared at the matriarch and facepalmed as she saw the 'scary eyes' coming from Danny. Sighing, she walked forwards and grabbed his arm and walked out of the room, saying, "I think that we should be getting dressed, mom, dad. We'll be right back." And ran out of the master bedroom with Danny in tow.
Pushing him into her bedroom, Jazz closed and locked the door as Danny grunted and crossed his arms, sitting on her bed as she turned and said, "What was that all about, Danny? You hardly ever speak ghost unless you're tired, annoyed or just want to be left alone."
"Try fighting Skulker, then Ember and then having to chase down the Box Ghost, all within ten minutes of each other. Only to find out that you now have some kind of weak spot because Skulker had fired a missile at your left shoulder blade, which, by the way hurts, and forced you to transform back to plain old Fenton. And then when you finally are able to transform back into Phantom, you fly back home and collapse into bed, only to be woken up by a dangerously hyper man who happens to be your father. That was pretty much my night so far, Jazz." Danny ranted, laying back on her covers and staring at the ceiling as Jazz answered, "I know it's hard. It's hard for me too. I mean, we're not originally from around Earth, more like thousands of miles away, and yet we can't go home and live there, we have to live among humans."
"We are pretty much humanoid ourselves, Jazz." Danny said, "I don't see how you're taking this so well."
"Who said that I am? I'm just as confused as you are. I mean, the only memories of Gallifrey are the one of what looks like a hazy city caught in a fight."
'At least you have memories.' Danny muttered, huffing and turning away from Jazz as she sighed and laid her hand on his and said, "I don't know what you just said, but if it was about memories, then I can tell you that I don't have many. I was two years old when we left. Mom and dad are doing all that they can to amend for what they've done to you in the past. At least give them a chance to make it up to you."
"After being hunted and nearly getting captured by them, I'm kinda finding it hard, Jazz. I know they're trying to make it up, but it's just so hard to trust." Danny said, running his hand through his hair and leaving it at the back of his neck where it rested as Jazz bit her lip and breathed heavily through her nose in a sigh and replied, "It'll get better for us both, Danny. That much I do know."
"Then I think we'd better get out there, right?" Danny laughed hollowly as he stood from the bed and looked at her as she nodded and also stood and moved to the door and opened it to find the their father was stood there and looking downcast as they froze in their tracks.
"Dad, how long have you been stood there?" Danny asked, looking and sounding surprised as he looked up into the Halfa's eyes and sighed.
"Enough to know that it's not being taken as well as we had thought, Danny-boy." he answered as both siblings looked at each other and back to their dad.
"We didn't want you to think that it was all too much for us, Daddy." Jazz said, putting her hand on her fathers shoulder, "We tried to make it look reassuring for you and mom. I guess that it was really too much to take when you told us. You saw Danny's first reaction when we found out."
"And he'd looked to be coping well since then." Jack said, looking to the boy as he shook his head and answered, "Not really, dad. It was the ghost's that kept me looking like I was coping. I'm sorry, dad."
"I guess we'll have to take it steady with you two then." Jack said, turning to his bedroom door and signalling them to follow, "Come on then. I'll have a talk with Mads and tell her to take it all steady until you think that you can take it."
"Thanks dad. Really." Jazz and Danny piped up, walking with him and went up the shute into the fridge in the Ops Center, all falling out as the smell hit them.
Slamming the door shut as he stumbled back to his feet, Danny commented, "You HAVE to get that ham sorted out, dad. I don't think I want to come up here till it is."
Looking around as he noticed the change of decoration, Danny saw that the interior was covered in drawings that looked like they had been done by both him and Jazz when they had been younger. In the middle of the room was a weird looking stand, on top of which was knobs, buttons, levers and in one case a hammer. In the centre of the stand was a central column that was lit up. All around the room were protusions that looked and felt like coral. The entire room felt like it was alive and there was even some humming going on as Danny and Jazz walked forward and looked at each other and then at their parents as they stood at the stand, watching them both look around in awe.
"The Doctor's not the only one with a Type-40 TARDIS." Their mother said, smiling at them and walking around to meet them, her clothes flowing behind her. She had changed since they had run off and was in crimson and gold robes with a high collar on the robe jacket. Looking at their father, Danny saw that he too had changed out of his HAZMAT suit and was dressed in the same robes as their mother.
"Mom, what did you give us?" Jazz asked, eyeing her box in wariness as Danny tore his eyes away from their surroundings and looked at the box in his hand as Maddie said, "Why dont you open them and see?"
Shrugging, Danny and Jazz tore the paper off the packages and saw to their surprise, a robe that looked like their parents as they pulled it out and held them up for Maddie and Jack to see. Looking at the decoration on his, Danny saw a circular design near the hem of each sleeve, embroidered in black and white. At the bottom of the box was a small necklace chain with a golden pendant that was engraved with a kind of seal.
"The Seal Of Rassilon. The insignia of Time Lords and by large, Gallifrey." Jack explained, "Every one of our people had one on either their clothes or in their TARDIS'. It seems only fitting that you have it on your first set of Gallifreyan clothes."
"Thanks, dad." Jazz screeched, running over and hugging him tightly as Danny stood there holding the robe set and looking at the black and white design as Maddie came pver to him and asked, "Is everything alright, Danny? You seem terrified of something."
"It's just, what if I put this on, what does it make me? Some kind of Time Lord ghost child, or just another freak in the world, caught between three worlds, Earth, Gallifrey and the Ghost Zone? What happens if I get caught and experimented on? The scientists will question what I really am and won't let me go." Danny asked, lowering the robe and looking his mother in the eyes and looking scared, tears welling up in his eyes as Maddie came to him and pulled him into a hug.
"No one will capture you, Danny." Maddie cried soothingly, "It's just alot for you to take in, what with finding out that me and your father knew all along what you are, and that you are of Time Lord origins. You're young and you have a lot to live for, and if theres ever anything that you need, just come to us and we can talk, baby."
The TARDIS hummed in response to her claims and Danny gradually felt calmer as his mom said softly, "We're always here for you, Danny. No matter what. And we d have to announce the truce soon a we get back from this lesson."
"Thanks, mom." He said, burying himself in her shoulder as he sniffled once more and broke away, pulling her to her feet and looking around the TARDIS once more, this time with more awe and finesse as Maddie chuckled low and nodded to Jack, who nodded back and said, "Ten-Forty-Twelve-Zero-Six. Here we come." and threw a lever on the stand and starting the TARDIS up and running, the kids screaming as they heard the engines turn and start to whir slightly.
"It's been a while since we did this, so Jack is a little rusty." Maddie said, trying to calm the teens and failing as Danny glared at her through bright green eyes in response to her words as she walked up to the console and joined him. With a jolt and a loud boom, the central column was thrown out of its still state and began moving up and down to the sound of a wheezing groaning sound as Jack and Maddie raced around the console, pushing levers and buttons. They did appear to be slightly rusty as they hesitated to either push or pull a lever, button or turn a switch.
"Ya don't say?" Jazz snarked, getting to her feet and going over to Danny as he held tightly to the railing and struggling to get his feet under him again and muttering under his breath. His eyes flashed green every now and then as Jazz reached him and helped him up. Finally, the wheezing sound quieted down to an almost inaudible humming, too low for any human to hear as the ship itself stabilized and became still.
"I can't imagine what it was like for us when we came to Earth in the first place." He muttered to her as they sat down on the captains seats and buckled up, much to the approval of Maddie and Jack as they spoke to each other in Gallifreyan.
"Well, we were younger then. It won't have been all fun and games for mom and dad either. They had us to look after and we'd just come from a war." Jazz told him as he watched their parents checking the engine and, in Jacks case, curse at the console itself and hit it with a mallet before throwing a switch as Maddie looked on at him in resignation, then rolled her eyes

Haitus is now off. Now I'm just catching up on what stories need to be updated. I'll get round to doing the next chapters soon. I just need to think on how to do them and improve them all. Martha hasn't always been my favourite companion that's why she's out for the time being, but coming back later on.
Until next time then,
