Grave Robber wordlessly walked two steps behind Carly on their way back to his apartment. If there was anything his parents taught him before his parents passed away, was that you do not mess with an angry woman- especially when it was your fault.

"Are we going to talk about what just happened?" Grave Robber drawled as he unlocked his door. He knew that he shouldn't be pushing his luck with her, but his curiosity got the best of him. She was like a loaded gun, he could feel her uneasiness prickle his skin like an electrical current. She was a gun that he knew was dangerous to hold, but to him playing with such power was intoxicating.

"I'd rather not." Carly said curtly, doing her best to keep her voice even and planted herself on the bench on his balcony. She let out a sigh as she stared off into the gloomy grey and blue horizon. This was not how it was supposed to be. She was not supposed to see Shilo, and Shilo was not supposed to see her. Grave Robber was not supposed to follow her. She was supposed to burn her birth certificate and escape undetected, just as she had done at GeneCo. By the end of today she was supposed to not exist. But now she did, to Shilo.

Before she knew it the sun had gone down, and the smog of the city had blanketed the buildings. Pulling the picture of her and her parents out of her bag, she stared at her mother and fathers happy faces. She was fairly certain that she would like Shilo if she hadn't been taken away and been there for each other, but that had changed absolutely everything. Before she knew it, her thoughts had consumed her, the sun had gone down, and she was still sitting there holding the picture of her once happy family in her hands. Her gaze flicked from her picture to Grave Robber who snored quietly on the couch and blinked back a dam of tears that threatened to pour out of her eyes. The tightness in her chest confirmed that: to miss people you love and could never see again, was just as agonizing as anticipating that same pain for someone you have in your life. She went through that pain once already, she couldn't do it again. Not with Grave Robber, he was too important to her. She cared for him far too much.

"Carly… it's two in the morning." Grave Robber sleepily grumbled from the couch.

"I know." She called out and wiped her eyes one more time.

"I know you're angry with me, but you need your rest. We can make up or fight some more in the morning." Grave Robber said tiredly before returning to bed. With every might in her body she pulled herself out of the bench and into bed, like a child who was facing a the monsters that hid under their bed. She'd forgotten how many tears had escaped her eyes before she finally drifted off to sleep.

Her eyes cracked open to the dull blue light of 5 o'clock in the morning. She felt the uneasiness churn in her stomach as Grave Robbers back brushed against hers with each deep inhale. She could not be here. All she was, all she is: is danger. Her father was a danger to those he loved, and so was she. She felt like he had genetically passed it onto her.

Slowly and quietly getting out of bed she dressed herself, and packed what clothes she had and sat down to write on a near by laminate pad.

"Grave Robber,

I've never had or given a decent goodbye in my life, so I am sorry if this one is terrible. I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for me. You are my friend, the only friend I deeply care about, which is why I'm leaving. Go ahead and hate me, I probably deserve it. But know that I am not leaving because I am unhappy, or that because of anything that you did, but because it is not safe for you when I am around. The only thing good of me is the bounty that is out for my head. By staying around and keeping me here, you are sacrificing your safety. I'm certainly not worth saving, you will forever mean the world to me. Thank you for showing me what love and friendship truly means.

Thanks for everything.

Love,

Carly. "

She almost regretted holstering her bag over her shoulder and placed her hand on the doorknob. Taking deep breaths did not seem to help muster up the strength to leave the note on the mantle, she turned the door knob ever so slightly.

Hey guys I know this chapter is short, but I wanted to make sure that this was in two parts. What will happen to Carly?
