Notes: It's been a while, everyone! I hope you are still reading this!

The battle at Ignis was intense. Thank you for all the support!

Enjoy, and please review!

Warnings: AU, a bit of angst, some OOCness and couples.

Two days later, Ignis was devoid of its inhabitants. All women, children and elders were brought into the underground shelters and the great land of red seemed deserted except for the houses were the controllers were still resting.

Ignis woke up alerted..

It was barely close to six in the morning when the first blow landed on their land, and only the warriors and red element controllers were on the borders. The rock that was situated to fall directly behind the eastern walls exploded into tens of vine lashes that broke hitting through everything it came upon contact with. The strong wall though remained standing upright, merely scratched by the violent attack.

The white, red, green and the only blue senses seared high in the controllers' souls and all of them sprang awake the moment the blow landed. They were ready in a span of short minutes while the guards destroyed the bomb.

The second blow landed, and strong gushes of wind sprang from the air cutting through houses and trees.

The controllers were already divided as per planned during the previous training period, and everyone was ready to show his/her all. Fuji and Kikumaru, however, were faced with troubles as their other halves constantly tried to make them go underground, still not convinced that they would be safe out there.

"Watch out from the left!" rang Yanagi's shout, their data and magic master. In turn, Niou and Yagyuu used their green and white weapons and stopped the coming red attack, and at the same time, Kirihara and Marui sent lashes of green and red at the same time, getting down by that the first three victims.

"Sanada!" Tezuka called for him and the red element controller was almost immediately by his side, pulling up a fire wall in front of them. The chestnut-haired man then expertly summoned a wind wall behind it, and with one hard push, both walls collided together and were sent crashing into several bodies, bringing them down dead in an inhuman speed.

Fuji lifted her closed fists in front of her when she spotted Guritashou members coming closer. When she deemed it enough, her hands opened in a second.

"Tsubame Gaeshi!"

Roots exploded from the ground around her and curved upwards before descending to float on the ground with the force of her magic and they crawled fast, bringing up enormous thorns from them and striking dead every person they came across.

"To the right!" the Master called again, but to his surprise, Ryoma was already there with his two glowing whips waving devilishly before he shot them and brought down the enemy from there.

Things seemed to go in their favor, as they controlled the pace of the battle, but something was off. Nobody knew why or how, but they all felt something missing in all of this. Guritashou were no way this weak.

"Everyone! Let's not get careless! Keep your guards up!" Tezuka shouted to all the warriors and controllers and was satisfied when he got firm replies.

"Sanada-san, what about the other sides? Who's going to protect them?" the black-haired boy stood by his mentor and couldn't help but show his worry.

"This is the only side that is exposed for attacks. One side is surrounded by the Kyodai Mountains that cannot be passed, the other is the side of the Norowa Sea, cursed by the late blue element controllers, which swallows the evil powers it carries on surface, and the third has its own warriors and protectors that are able to stop Guritashou. Focus here."

The young red controller seemed amazed. "I didn't know you know that much!"

"As a citizen of Ignis, you should at least know this. Tarundoru!"

Kirihara then returned obediently to the battle and continued alongside the others.

No one counted how much time passed while they were at it, but there was still something wrong. Suddenly, everyone's sense was alarmed high and they turned in the direction of the youngest warrior there. Golden eyes were wide as they witnessed the huge root coming up from the ground below.

The black-haired boy tried to move, but his legs were caught, roots holding him in place. His whips lashed uncontrollably to no avail.

"Echizen!"

"Echizen-kun!"

"RYOMA!"

In a blink of an eye, a magnificent swirl of red and white flowed in front of him, gently enveloped the huge tree limb and squeezed until it burned down to ashes, the roots around Ryoma's limbs falling dead, too.

The strange defense was surely unexpected, but it did make sense when one of the warriors shouted, "The Golden Pair!"

Oishi and Eiji were connected by a white aura surrounding both of them making them able to move and act as one. They deflected a lot of attacks in this state of theirs.

"So they reached the Top Synchro?

"As expected from our Golden Pair!"

The situation became critical. The warriors were getting tired, and the strongest controllers were, too, and the battle took a different way as it was transformed into a close combat between the controllers and Guritashou.

It seemed that they were unending; whenever a group died, another came and with it came new attacks and more difficulties.

They were having a hard time.

"WE NEED MORE SUPPORT!"

"SEND THE WARRIORS FROM THE EASTERN SIDE HERE!"

"ROGER!"

"Everyone, focus!"

"Elder, what should we do?" one of the guards asked the elder Kurokagou, who heaved a sigh and ordered "Keep protecting the inside of this land and make sure that the entrance to the shelters is hidden. Let the secret groups keep proceeding as planned. They shall never return back unless to tell that it's over." The grey-haired man moved from his place and jumped down behind the controllers.

"Everyone! The Line Formation! NOW!" he yelled and got into a fighting stance, digging his strong feet in the soil beneath him to stand his ground. Immediately, the controllers finished off the close combats as a new group of Guritashou flooded down.

Kurokagou took a deep breath, muttered a spell which everyone repeated in the same time, and then opened his palms in the direction of the enemy. The controllers following.

Red, green and white attacks sprang and finished off the group only for a new one to come instead.

Kirihara stood there wide-eyed, and he began to tremble as he saw how tensed the situation was. He couldn't take it if they failed in protecting Ignis, his hometown. He wouldn't be able to forgive himself.

All of a sudden, the book he was supposed to study came to his mind, and certain lines made his eyes widen. ".. when the four elements are united, the power is unpredictable and the attack is invincible no matter what faces it.." he muttered to himself. "That's it!"

Stealthily, he left the battle ground and headed in the utmost speed he can muster in the direction of his tutor's house. Just, why didn't anyone think of it before? Or did they not read that book? Wait until he confronts Sanada about this.

He reached the older man's place and headed down the stairs to the room he knew had the fourth element.

He could hear muffled curses from behind the door as he pressed his ear against the wooden surface.

"Sei-neesan!" he called.

Oooooo*oooooO

Colorful words left Yukimura's mouth as she tried to suppress her anger by trying to free herself. Damned spells. Her blue sense was driving her crazy with how it rocketed inside her, and she was restless. For the past two hours or more, the spell casted upon this room didn't affect her in anyway. Damn these binds! Why did they have to be that effective?

"Sei-neesan!" she heard the call from the other side and her eyes brightened up.

"Akay.." she whispered before rushing to the door, "Akaya! You came!"

"Get away from the door! I'll burn it down!"

"Okay!"

Yukimura hurried and left her place to stand somewhere safe from the flames. In three seconds, the door exploded and burned down in the other side of the room.

"Akaya, untie my arms!" the curly-haired boy nodded and started working at the knots behind her back. He placed his hands on her arms and mumbled a spell. A surge of heat passed through the binds (and she winced at the feeling of burn) and they broke, finally freeing her.

"Tell me what happened from the start on the way there." She rubbed her wrists and stretched her limbs, already moving towards the door and out of it with the young boy after her.

"Hai!"

Both controllers got out of the house and shared information. Kirihara told her about what he had studied in the book and informed her of the way to achieve that invincible shield.

Things were getting bad at the battle area. They were in great need of some support. Guritashou were pushing in on them, and the situation became dangerous.

"Ryoma!" Fuji yelled and was beside the struggling boy, finishing off his enemy in a move. He gave her a thanking nod before his eyes went wide at a black-clad figure jumping down at her back. He wrapped his arms around her, flipped around their position and sent his whip in renewed energy, bringing the enemy down clashing in a tree (that was still standing) nearby and falling dead.

Both of them straightened back to their fighting stances and went on with helping the others.

"Eiji! Hang on!" they heard Oishi's frantic yell but couldn't turn to check on them. The red-haired girl was panting in her partner's arms, unable to stand more because her energy was drained completely. Her eyes watered as she looked up at Oishi with teary eyes and managed to voice an apology between her pants.

Kurokagou was down fighting beside them, but even with his most powerful spells, they couldn't finish them off.

"Kurokagou-sama!" a guard called, running towards him.

"How is the other side?" he asked, and frowned when the guard shook his head with a troubled expression, "They are having it hard, too. The other shifts had already took their places everywhere, but no one can rest."

The grey-haired man gritted his teeth, "Damn it. Where are miracles when one needs them?" he turned to the fighters and yelled "If Ignis falls, it'll be over for the rest two lands, too! DO YOU HEAR ME? WE SHALL NEVER FALL! FIGHT WITH YOUR BEST!" and as an indication, he sent a fearsome wave of fires deep in the woods.

Just then, a strange, cool, calming, blue wave floated around everyone all over the whole place. Ignis's warriors felt nothing different but looked alarmed. Tezuka's eyes widened; until now, the only glowing attacks were red, white and green colored. Seeing a blue wave could only mean one thing-..

"ATTACK RIGHT NOW!" a familiar voice shouted from behind them, and all warriors glanced with widened eyes at the two figures that hopped down easily.

"Let me paint them red." Kirihara snickered evilly, enjoying the thrill of fighting once again as his eyes turned bright red. In one move, he had his red claws out and dashed to the dumbfounded enemy finishing a couple of them off in direct, cruel slashes.

Yukimura's eyes were glowing in a brilliant blue color as she explained "I've used the Yips. Their senses are stolen, so attack, attack, attack!" in turn, she summoned a great, roaring, blue dragon and let it free to kill as it wished.

The rest, getting the point, fell back into action and went on with renewed determination. The senseless Guritashou falling down easily with each attack presented.

Several smaller blue dragons floated around harshly, too, and killed beside whips, laser beams, roots and every other form of the other three elements.

"Sanada! Tezuka! Syuusuke!" the last blue called as she jumped beside them, eyes still glowing, and added, "On with me! The Shiage No Jumon!"

The three nodded, and in the same time, the four of them repeated the same words of the finishing spell. Globes of light flowed out of them and a golden aura enveloped the four of them together, bringing their elements upwards until they merged into a one, big, golden sphere.

Ground shook, thin roots sprang up as flames, wind gushes and water streams did. All of them entered the sphere that seemed to glow brighter than ever. The sphere expanded marvelously before causing a huge heat wave and exploding down to the earth in infinite surges of pure gold that shook the ground more.

Everyone's vision turned white for a couple of seconds, and they could hear screaming and sense nothing for that while.

When the whole spell faded, and warriors were able to see, all they saw was dead bodies thrown on the grounds around them. All of them stood guarded and tensed, ready for anything while the four elements regained their regular breathing and control.

For minutes that seemed to stretch on to hours, nothing happened.

Around ten figures appeared then walking towards them. Kurokagou immediately recognized them as the top assassins, who were sent as a spy group to the core of the enemy, and stopped the warriors from attacking.

Once the assassins reached them, they bowed down and reported, "Kurokagou-sama, we finished them off with the help of a strange golden light. That group around us ceased to exist now."

Everyone held their breathes and waited for the final statement.

The grey-haired man closed his eyes, then opened them and gazed softly at all the people around. He smiled for the first time that day and everyone anticipated the announcement.

"All of you did more than a great job. Ignis won this because of you!"

Cries of joy and happiness filled the place as warriors either hugged, breathed in relief or flopped down unconscious (Marui, Kirihara and Eiji, to be exact).

Tezuka and Sanada looked at each other and bumped fists with a smile, and Fuji watched over them with opened eyes, shining brilliantly.

"Ryoma-kun~" the golden-eyed boy turned around when he heard his name, only to found himself looking directly into blazing sapphire eyes. He gulped in fear. Trying to summon his whips and run away was futile as he was suddenly swept off his feet and held upside down.

"UWAAAAH!"

His scream brought attention to them and he failed to notice his friends falling into fighting stances before getting confused when they saw it was their blue princess that held him high up like that.

Her narrow eyes gracefully shifted to glare coldly at a certain white element controller, while the latter's eyes widened by a fraction and he took two steps back involuntarily. Tezuka shook his head in disbelief as if knowing what was passing through the bluenette's head. He tried to back away more, but failed to do so, and when he looked down at his feet, he paled. Glittering blue ropes were tying him to his place.

"What are you smiling at, Syuu-chan? You're not off the hook either." Fuji's eyes snapped open when a steady stream of water flowed around her before firmly grabbing her around the waist and lifting her up as well. The brunette shrieked and stared with wide eyes at her friend in surprise. She didn't know Yukimura would try to get her, too!

Chuckling to herself, Yukimura noted the confused, curious and smirking (Niou and the elder) faces around her before she brought her spread out arms together in the direction of Tezuka.

Fuji and Ryoma yelped as they found themselves swung around almost-carelessly like that. Fuji first collided with Tezuka and both of them lost balance with the older man struggling to keep standing, when –not a second later- Ryoma came crashing into both of them with a loud shriek from the other side and the three of them fell down harshly, wincing and groaning in pain.

They didn't have the time to catch their breath when they were suddenly swiped up with a violent wave that came crashing into them.

From an outside view, Yukimura's summoned wave formed a global shape imprisoning the three warriors inside it. The bluenette's laughter could be heard all over the place, and when she stopped, her lips were pulled into a beautiful, feline grin that made others shiver. Her eyes turned to another certain red element controller and she said "You're up next, Genichirou-kun."

When she deemed it enough, she made a move of a flick with her fingers and the globe broke, letting the three inside fall to the ground coughing water out of their lungs.

Slowly, she made her way to them and stood towering over them. With a cold, blank expression, she glared at three drenched, shivering figures and said "Mess with me again, and I promise it'll be worse."

Her eyes caught sight of Sanada trying to step back from this. "Where do you think you're going?"

Another glittering blue rope appeared and tied around his body then brought him back forward. Yukimura tilted her head innocently and waved a hand. A huge blue dragon forming around her which she sensually caressed with her fingers before releasing him.

All color washed away from Sanada's tanned skin as he watched in horror the creature opening its jaws and come down on him. In one swift move, the dragon swallowed the red element controller who tried to get some flames but couldn't.

The bluenette cooed over the dragon, "Good boy." Then gave a soft laugh and said "You can release him now."

The blue dragon opened its jaw, and Sanada fell onto his back on the ground, knocking out his breath. Unfortunately for him, the dragon turned into water and splashed right on him, drenching him more than earlier.

When his eyes focused, he saw Yukimura standing by his feet and panted harsher. The bluenette still looked beautiful in his eyes.

"Sit up." She ordered once, but when Sanada didn't make a move she yelled at him "I said Sit. UP!" and she moved her hands to pull him up by the glittering ropes.

Yukimura crouched down in front of him and fisted a hand slowly in his hair, bringing his head forward. She boldly meshed their mouths together and took the chance to deep kiss him before pulling back and blowing a hot breath over Sanada's moisture lips. Her hand pulled tight into his hair and she whispered dangerously close to him, "Consider yourself lucky that I like you, or else it's be hell for you."

Leaving him to flop back on the ground, she stood up and smiled at the gaping/blushing/smirking faces looking at her before walking to another red element controller.

Kirihara, thinking he did something to anger his favorite nee-san, began trembling. He didn't dare move, though.

"Akaya." Yukimura's sweet voice reached him and his eyes widened.

The older woman looked amused to see the little boy like that, but she decided to relieve him. Besides, too much amusement in one day would be bad for her.

"You were a great help for me. Thank you." And she leaned down and pressed a kiss to his forehead. After getting over his initial shock, the young boy grinned widely at her, proud of himself.

On one side, Tezuka looked over at his fiancée, "Syuusuke, are you alright?"

The brunette looked at him and moved her wet bangs aside and swallowed the lump in her throat. "I.. guess so.." she looked over at the still dazed boy and asked "What about you Ryoma?"

"Who's that..?" the boy answered instead.

Tezuka sighed, "That means he's fine."

A/N: Finally!

Review please! It was my first time to describe a battle so I'm not sure how I did. Tell me, please?
