Okay, everyone, here are my New Year's FanFiction resolutions:
1) Finish 'Chaos Control to PacWorld'
2) Finish 'Black Crescent'
3) Continue to work on Pokémon fics.
4) Continue to work on 'Symbios-Issues'
5) Work on 'Digimon Tamers: An Alternate Story'
6) Try new story plots for anime and games that I haven't tried yet.
That being said, that last one doesn't mean that I won't write for Bleach, Digimon Tamers, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal or Sonic anymore.
Now that that's settled, why don't we continue with 'Symbios-Issues' and see how Cloak and Uryu are doing, shall we?
Discovery in Germany!
"So that cyborg is designed by Yukon McSleez himself, I take it?" Uryu asked. Right now, the two were staring at the mechanical monsters that Cloak had told the Quincy about.
"Yes and no. The cyborg that belongs to McSleez is in a storage cell being used for scrap metal in case they need it. What we're looking at here are original designs from the Templars," Cloak answered. "I didn't realize how advance in technology they really are. Take a look, Ishida: Stealth Droids, Ninja Bots, and Aerial Sword Borgs. I'll have to give the head of the Tech Department some credit. At least they're original. But there has to be a way to shut them down for good."
"There isn't, my friend," said a voice behind them. They looked and saw a man in a gray suit. He had a full head of brown hair and a goatee to match.
"Let me guess: you're Jameson Richter," Uryu said.
"That's right, Uryu. You've hit the nail on the head. I had a look at your school records and saw that your brilliance would've made you an excellent student in my class. Too bad, because now, I'll have to end your Medical career before it even begins. You see, fellas, physically, these cyborgs take a few traits from the robot that's in the storage cell. As far as blueprints are concerned, as the one in the black said, they're original designs. It's a shame you won't live to see the Templars rule the world when the cyborgs are done with you." Richter pushed a button on a remote control he had.
The button activated two teleportation pads that the heroes were standing on. It teleported them to the testing site, which was inhabited by cyborgs. They locked their sights on Cloak and Uryu and prepared their weapons. "Uryu, I will give you an 'A' for effort and sneaking in. I'm going to give you an 'F', though, because you chose the wrong side to be on," Richter said. "I was also informed of a 'meeting', you in the black. I know that 'Roger Bennett' doesn't exist. Sayonara."
"We're toast," Uryu said. The Ninja Bots got their built-in swords ready, while the Stealth Droids switched on their cloaking functions.
"Meh, I tackled bigger numbers," said Cloak.
"Can that Symbiote of yours give you any heat sensory abilities?" Cloak kept his mouth shut. "I was afraid of that." The robots sprung to attack, the response from the heroes being Uryu firing off multiple arrows, pushing them back. Cloak took out a few with the swords he formed. "How are you destroying them?"
"Aim for the core, Ishida." Uryu took Cloak's advice and aimed for the core on the robots. Once the arrows he fired hit, the robots were destroyed. More robots kept coming after them, though. By the time the smaller cyborgs were dealt with, Cloak and Uryu were out of energy.
"I guess it's time to test out the big guns," Richter said. He pushed a button, opening a trap door under the two. Once the door was fully open, a lift came up, which held a giant cyborg, bigger than McSleez's Megatons. "Boys, meet the Hyper Cannon Juggernaut MAX! With cannons and Gatling guns all over its body, it is our most dangerous project yet! Up until now, it hasn't been tested! You two are going to be the guinea pigs."
"Oh crap," said Cloak, as the targets locked onto him and Uryu.
"These are the Templars. What else would you expect?" Uryu asked rhetorically.
"We have to get out of here and contact Washburn and Kurosaki." Unfortunately, Richter heard that.
"Oh I heard of Logan Washburn's reputation in the Assassin-Templar War. He's a danger to the Templars. I've got something special in mind for him. As powerful as these Cyborgs are, even I know that he can take them down easily," said Abstergo's German head.
The Juggernaut launched all of its cannons at Cloak and Uryu, who dodged just in time. Uryu fired a lot of arrows at the metal behemoth, who didn't receive a single scratch. Cloak wasn't fairing any better, the Gatling guns keeping him at a good distance and the webs he fires being destroyed. Soon they had to take cover. "I think I have an idea, Cloak. Hold on a sec." Uryu used his Hirenkyaku to get passed the giant cyborg, too quick for its sensors to detect.
'Incredible. That ability is like Washburn and Kurosaki's Flash Step. That must be the Quincy equivalent,' Cloak thought, amazed at Uryu's speed. Uryu took out his Seele Schneider and cut the circuits and wires from behind, rendering it paralyzed. Cloak charged at the Juggernaut head on and pierced his Symbiote-made sword into the core. "This will do it." They jumped out of the way and the cyborg exploded. When the smoke cleared, Cloak and Uryu were gone, having gone through a ventilation shaft.
"Hmm, it seems that I underestimated those two. No matter. Now that I know what they are capable of, I can send a Search & Destroy party after them. I'm sure they're a little worn down after the fight with the cyborgs," Richter said to himself.
Cloak managed to get them out of there with little trouble. He and Uryu came up from a sewer that was a good distance away from the Abstergo building. "That was more trouble than it was worth," Cloak said.
"You said it. Does Urahara have you on a private line?" Uryu asked, getting a nod from Cloak. "Good. We need to call in Ichigo and the others. I hate to say it, but we need their help, including the Assassin that Richter's after."
"I hear you." Cloak then put his finger to his ear. "Kurosaki, are you there?"
"Yeah I'm here. What do you need, Cloak?" Ichigo said over the communicator.
"We need reinforcements. This includes you and Washburn."
"What do you mean 'we'? You didn't get my cousin Uryu involved, did you?"
"As a matter of fact, I did. We infiltrated the Berlin office of Abstergo and met the head honcho."
"Alright, we'll be over there as soon as possible."
"We'll be waiting."
"What did he say?" Uryu asked.
"He said that they would be over as soon as possible," answered Cloak. "As fast as Washburn and Kurosaki are, I don't think it will take them very long."
"Yeah, you're right." They then looked at the Abstergo building. "We've got to destroy that building. And if this 'Logan Washburn' character is as good as you and Richter say he is, then he may be our key to taking it out."
"That's given he doesn't get distracted by what Richter has planned for him."
"One can only hope…"
CHAPTER 10 END
Alright, I finally got Chapter 10 done. Again, I apologize for the cliffhanger, but I need to save some story plot for the next one. If you have any questions regarding this story, PM me and I'll answer them to the best of my ability.
So Cloak and Uryu have escaped Abstergo Industries' office in Berlin with one question on their minds: 'How are they going to take out the cyborgs that the Templars have built before they have to face McSleez and his robots?' Stay tuned.
