0000 Story Start
*Crackle! *Boom!
Naruto could only stare…only stare…in silence as he looked at the ruins of his and his mother's homeland. He did not wince nor react to the ice cold drops of rain that pelted his face harshly nor cover his face from the harsh winds.
*CAW! *CAW!
Looking at the eagle that was perched on a nearby pole, Naruto could only give a soulless stare at it before looking back at the ruins. He could see more skeletons, some were hung by their necks, some impaled on long poles, but most of them were strewn about across the streets. They were skeletons of all sizes…adults…teens…children…even infant sized skeletons. Something in Naruto wailed in sorrow but his body did not follow, another cried for vengeance but he was silent. Naruto could only gaze…gaze at all of the destruction around him.
"Naruto-kun?" Akako's voice spoke.
Naruto was only silent as he came upon a line of small skeletal bodies. He spotted one childish skeleton holding a skeleton of a infant, both cuddled tightly with rusted kunai's littered around them. He knelt down next to the bodies, his fingers twitched slightly as he simply gazed at it. Spotting something glinting slightly out from the mud, Naruto reached down with his free hand and dug whatever it was out from the mud. It was a necklace, one that showed an image on one side and another on the other. One side showed two adults in a hugging pose while the other showed a young girl and her younger infant sibling. He could faintly see the names Ayane and Ami printed at the bottom.
"Hn…" Naruto hummed sadly.
He was about to stand up till a bluish hand shot out from the mud and grabbing his wrist tightly. Naruto muffled a yelp as a face of a terrified girl came out from the mud, staring at him pleadingly. Her ghostly form was blood soaked, her body had katanas of various sizes sticking out from it, a small form was held in her arms lifeless.
"Help me please! Please help! My little sister! S-s-sh-she's not…nonononono…" she began to sob and her hold began to tighten on his wrist making Naruot wince and his head hurt.
"S-she's not alive anymore…I cannot help you…I'm sorry…" Naruto whispered out despite the pain in his head.
"No…no…nononono…her little special day was tomorrow…no…Ami…no…tou-san…kaa-san…where are you…nononono…" the ghost of Ayane sobbed before dissipating.
Naruto grunted as he rubbed his wrist and arm, soothing the pain slightly before standing up and walking slowly away from the skeletal bodies. He felt an ache form making him wince as he rubbed his head, the air suddenly got colder than it already was.
"Such a sad site is it not?" a familiar chilly voice spoke.
Naruto winced as he felt a harsh icy grasp on his mind, the images of the bloody yellow eyes of the one he named "Reaper" appear. The entity then just simply chuckled as Naruto tried to will the painful sensation in his head. Though in pain, Naruto thought he could make out the faint whimpers of fear and pain from both Chiyo and Akako.
"So many souls, so many lives, so many lights burned out. So much death and blood spilt here." Reaper continued.
"Such abundance of lost spirits is bound to attract those from the other world. This is a bountiful feeding ground for them."
Then "Reaper" chuckled before a spectral form phased into existence in front of Naruto making stumble and hit the mud. Reaper just chuckled to itself before rubbing his hands together in a very scheming manner as it stared intently at Naruto.
"If I were you little one…I would tread very carefully here. The spirits are at unrest…though…they may tolerate you, but who knows…just don't count on it. I have some work to do…" It said simply.
*Crackle! *BOOM!
With the flash of lightning and boom of thunder, it was gone. The icy hold on his mind diminished as well. Mumbling slightly, Naruto stood up from the ground and wiped himself of the grime and mud that clung to his cloak and clothing. He rubbed his arms as he was starting to feel cold from prolonged exposure to the icy weather around the ruins. He immediately began to look for any sort of shelter, covering his eyes slightly and narrowing them, he spotted a building that appeared mostly intact not too far from him.
"Better than freezing to death out here…" Naruto muttered. "Girls? Are you two okay?"
He got no response, his face then had concern as he got silence from the duo. Remembering that it was cold, he began to run to get the blood flowing again around his body. He will talk to them as soon as he gets to the building he was heading to. Running to the front doors, Naruto immediately pushed them open which gave a loud creak before closing behind him with a bang. He looked around and took note of the lobby like area he was in, there were stairs leading to the second floor and another leading to the third. He then shook himself wildly to rid of the soak and water in his clothing and hair. Grunting to himself, he wiped his face and eyes with his arms. Spotting a faint glow of blue, he froze before looking towards it. It was a young boy, at least his age, wearing a similar spiral symbol headband. Naruto glanced at his chest to see a gaping hole where his heart would be, it was the size of an adults fist from the looks of it. Naruto winced slightly as he looked further down to see a leg bent in the wrong direction with a visible bone sticking out of the ghostly flesh. The ghost boy only tilted his head at Naruto's appearance and entrance before walking away, each step making the of wooden flooring creak loudly before vanishing around a corner.
"Though it may be my clan's home and my own…its very…unsettling to be here at this moment…" Naruto mentally noted to himself.
Sighing, Naruto took off his cloak and shirt and set them down to dry on a nearby rotted chair. Looking around, he decided to make use of the abundance of chairs. Breaking a few of them and setting them in a pile in a nearby fireplace, he began to quickly attempt to make a fire. Grabbing a flat piece and a pole, he quickly began to twist and turn it on a central spot of the flat piece.
"C'mon. C'mon." Naruto muttered to himself as he tried to make smoke.
He didn't know how long it took him, but it didn't matter as he saw signs of smoke forming. He gave a small sigh of relief as he began to blow on the smoke before continuing to twist and turn the rod in his hands. With more smoke rising out, he blew on it again before applying some small splinters of wood to act as tinder to hopefully catch on fire. When the splinters began to smoke and, he blew on it once more before the familiar yellow and red baby flames began to appear.
"Good. Good." Naruto muttered again as he began to carefully place the gathered pieces of chairs over the slowly growing flame. "C'mon…hah!"
With the fire growing even more, Naruto gave a mental sigh of relief as he began to feel heat radiate. Though he did show a face of concern as he needed to be very careful in the placement of the wood.
"C'mon, keep growing…" Naruto muttered as he placed more wooden chair parts on the fire.
The familiar crackle and pops of fire began to emerge steadily as Naruto tried to warm himself up. Now that he had a decent heat source, he decided to try and talk with Chiyo and Akako.
"Girls? Are you two alright?" Naruto asked in concern.
"Y-yes…yes we are…" Akako stuttered.
"What's wrong?" Naruto asked again.
"N-nothing! Nothing. Nothing at all Naruto-kun…" Akako's voice replied quickly.
"Girls…please…you're not…okay…you sound as if in pain." Naruto said again.
There was a brief silence from the two girls; Naruto grew more worried as they didn't respond. Just when he was about to speak to them again, he felt a tug on his mind before darkness took his vision. His body slumping next to the warmth of the fire.
0000 Mindscape
When he entered his mindscape, he felt a heavy painful sensation run through him. Naruto suddenly coughed loudly as he keeled over, he coughed a few more times before he spotted blood coughing out. Grimacing slightly, he quickly wiped it away on his cloak. Looking around, he spotted the shadowed form of Chiyo/Akako. Quickly making his way over, he kneeled beside them. Her eyes were solemn yet held a slightly terrified look, her lips twitched and quivered slightly; her body was cold and shivering as she sat in a fetal position. Taking off his cloak, he threw over their shaking form. He heard them mutter something before falling silent.
"…"
A long silence went between the two, Naruto then wrapped a comforting arm around her making her flinch slightly before resuming her shivering.
"Girls?" Naruto whispered.
"…"
"What's wrong?" Naruto asked.
"…it's nothing Naruto-kun…" Akako replied quietly.
Naruto however just simply frowned as they rested their head on his shoulder and snuggling closer to him. They were like that for a while, held in each other's warm embrace.
"Just hold us…okay?" Chiyo and Akako's voice spoke at once.
"Alright…" Naruto replied, holding them gently.
0000 Next day – Morning
*Squeak!

*CAW! *CAW!
"Yargh!" Naruto bolted up with a kunai at the ready.
After seeing no immediate danger around, Naruto groaned in grogginess and annoyance as he looked about for the source of the noise. His eyes narrowed as they came upon the black eagle, which was perched on a wooden beam above.
"Must've come through the opening…" Naruto muttered as he glared at the collapsed roof area to the right.
*Screech!
The eagle made an ear piercing screech as it fluttered its wings as if preparing to take off. Naruto winced and growled in annoyance as he stood up from the floor, dusting himself. Walking to the front door, Naruto grunted as he slid it open. Sunlight broke through the opening, making him yelp slightly as it burned into his face. Giving an annoyed growl, he exited outside, back into the ruins of his homeland. There was a soulless breeze in the air as Naruto silently gazed around at his home.
*Flap! *Flap! *Flap!
The eagle had flown outside and perched itself on a nearby pillar, glaring down at Naruto as he looked up to it. He frowned slightly as he looked at the bird, he couldn't help but…that bird was…giving off a familiar feeling. He tilted his head as he examined the bird; the bird also mimicked his action. The bird clicked his beak and rustled its feathers before looking elsewhere. It cawed again before taking flight and flying off, Naruto could only stare in the direction it flew before returning his attention back to the ruins of his homeland and walking in a uncertain direction.

*CAW! *CAW!
The eagle's wings flapped heavily as it landed on something metallic, that thing soon shifted as a figure could be seen. The black eagle gave another screech as a fish was tossed up into the air, the eagle eagerly swiped out from the air as it took flight and began to feast on it. Heavy footsteps could be heard from the dark figure as it trudged through the broken ruins…slowly towards Naruto's last known position.
0000 Back with Naruto…
*Slip! *Slack! *Slip! *Slack!
Naruto's feet scrapped against the ground as he dragged himself forward, his head looking in all directions as the ruins still gave their ominous feeling. Even with the sun out, Naruto still felt the sense of dread coming off the land. Naruto cringed slightly as a nearby wooden pillar from many years of aging from rot and without any maintenance, gave a long creaking groan before finally tilting over and crashing down into the ground, sending dust into the air as it finally took its resting place.
"For some reason…that made me even more nervous…" Naruto muttered as he glanced about.
"Naruto, look." Akako's voice suddenly chimed.
Looking to where the mental prodding was urging at, Naruto spotted a tower. It seemed similar to the Hokage Tower in Konoha, he figured that would be a good spot to look around for information or such about his home.
"Thanks Akako-chan." Naruto mentally spoke.
"No problem…" she replied meekly.
Stepping over the fallen pillar, Naruto made his way to the broken tower. Glass crunched loudly under his worn sandals as he walked, his slightly worn out black cloak billowed lightly from the soulless breeze that came, his eyes scanning every dark corner and building as he made his way. Though brief, he could partly make out dark ghostly forms residing in the darkened buildings before they vanished. His fingers twitched nervously as he trudged in dead silence. Though it seemed like an hour or two at most, it was in fact actually about ten or so minutes that he finally came up to the doors leading into the village tower. The doors creaked loudly as he pushed them, darkness greeted Naruto as he nervously looked inside. Everywhere looked like it was about to fall apart just from simply breathing on it. Walls were broken, the ceilings were caved in, old disgusting water leaked from exposed rusted pipes, the floor was wet and slippery from rot and all, plus it was cold inside.
"No turning back…" Naruto said to himself as he entered.
The doors behind him gave a loud bang as they closed, leaving him in the dark. The only source of light were the nearby windows that allowed the sun inside. Steeling his nerves, Naruto took a look around. It appeared he was in a lobby of sort, it was a large room with scattered benches and chairs, there was a balcony on one side on the upper floors and a stair leading obviously to the next floor. A large curved desk was in full view in the center of the lobby, various files and papers were strewn about on the desk.
"Information I hope…" Naruto muttered as he walked behind the table and searched through it.
"No…" Naruto muttered as he placed useless stacks of rotting paper on the floor.
"Nope…"
"No…no…"
"Nope…"
"Nadda…"
"Ugh…nasty…" Naruto muttered as he pulled out a decaying bento box.
"No…"
"No…"
"N-ah…hmmmm…" Naruto hummed as he found a somewhat intact file.
The folder had what appeared to be basic information about the village and so and so. He skimmed through a few things before grunting as he decided to stash it away in his pack for later. As he was stashing it away, a piece of paper fell out. Picking it up carefully to not rip it up accidently, Naruto saw that this piece was in fact a map of the first floor of the tower.
"That's good, it'll help you around." Chiyo's voice spoke, making Naruto nod.
*Growl!
Grunting, Naruto held his stomach as he sheepishly scratched his head. He could hear Chiyo and Akako giggling in the back of his mind making him blush in embarrassment.
"How cute…" Akako said with a giggle.
"Better find something to eat first…hehehehehe…" Naruto said sheepishly as he looked at the map. "Hmmm…cafeteria just a few halls to the left. Hope there's still something edible here…"
Putting the map in one of his pockets, Naruto stood up and walked to one of the doors leading to the halls to the left. It creaked open as he pushed it and creaked again as he closed it. A dark hallway greeted him making him chuckle nervously as he slowly trudged through it. His feet thumped slightly against the carpet flooring as he walked to the other end of the hall. Going through another door, Naruto was greeted with another hall, this one had wooden flooring instead, each step he took creaked loudly. Opening and hoping the last door, Naruto's feet clapped onto hard stone flooring of sorts as he came into a restaurant like area. He licked his lips eagerly as he immediately went over to the kitchen and began to browse through it.
"Yuck…"
"Ugh…bad…"
"Old…"
"No…"
"Nope…"
"Nadda…"
"Stinky…"
Grumbling in annoyance, Naruto was about to give up till a small glint of metal caught his eye. Frowning, he reached into the cupboard and pulled out some sort container.
"Hmmm…I wonder if it's still good…" Naruto mentally noted.
The container was fully metal or at least it looked like it, he shook it and heard a satisfying sloshing sound in it. He looked under it and oddly enough, the due date for this was still a long way to go. Humming thoughtfully, Naruto looked around for anything to use to pry it open as it appeared to not have any visible signs of opening it. Seeing none, Naruot grunted before decided to try with the old fashioned way…cutting it open with a kunai.
*Tink! *Tink!
He lined it up carefully with the tip of the weapon before pushing it in roughly with a satisfying pop of metal. Cutting it in a circle, he was met with a watery aroma of…something at least. It looked like a soup of sorts, giving it a sniff, he surprisingly like it as he sniffed again.
"Hmmm…chicken…beef…fish?" Naruto raised a brow.
He licked his lips hungrily but begrudgingly held himself fast as he remembered that he needed to cook this in order to eat it. His stomach however growled in protest to his actions, Naruto groaned in annoyance as a result as he tapped his fingers against the can.
"Gyoooh…screw it. Too hungry…" Naruto said as he dug around his pack for some utilities he brought from his apartment.
Upon finding one, he immediate dug into the uncooked soup. Surprisingly, it was tasty despite being uncooked and cold. When finishing it, he threw the can on the floor, but he was not yet satisfied as his stomach growled for more.
"Ugh…so hungry…need more…" Naruto groaned out as he looked through the other cupboards.
After a bit of thorough searching, he found some canned fruites, canned beans, more soup and a few pieces of jerky. Surprisingly, they were in good condition, maybe a month or more till going bad, lucky him. After having his fill, Naruto sighed in content as he wiped his mouth.
"Much better…" he mused as he stood up and exited the lunchroom and took out the map again.
"Hmmm…hm…Medical Room…I'll check on that in a bit…" Naruto said to himself.
"Staff First Floor…might have information. Hmmm…"
Looking at another spot on the map, Naruto saw there was a stairs not far from his current room. Just a few halls to get through that is. Nodding, Naruto folded the map up and placed it back into one of his pockets. Dusting himself as he stood up, Naruto exited out of the cafeteria and back into the dark gloomy halls.
"Uzumaki-kun?" Chiyo's voice spoke quietly.
"Yes? Something you need?" Naruto replied as he peeked around a corner.
"Something…something feels…familiar…I feel it…it's coming from under this entire foundation…" she continued.
"Is it good? Or is it bad?" Naruto asked.
"Not sure…" she replied.
"Hmmm…we'll check it out later. If we find a way down to wherever this feeling is, we'll check it out." Naruto said as he walked past a series of doors and halls.
"Okay. Thanks." She said quietly.
"No problem…" Naruto replied quickly as he finally found the stairs.
Looking up, he noted it was even darker up the stairs. This sent a slight shiver through his spine as he looked on. Gulping, he slowly made his ascent upwards. Each step he made the old rotting flooring creak loudly and wetly.
0000 Elsewhere - Uzu Ruins
*Sniff! *Sniff!

*CAW! *CAW!
A hooded head veered upwards as a familiar black eagle shaped bird perched on a nearby pole. The figure snorted slightly and the bird only clicked its beak. The figure's large cloaked form glanced around at the ground, looking at the footprints of a certain blonde left in the mud. The figure sniffed again as it looked about, slowly following the trail of wet muddy footprints. The light of the sun then soon went out as a shadow cast over the figure.
*Drip!
The figure tilted its head before looking up; there were dark gray clouds in the skies again. And rain was beginning to fall once more, and a cold dead breeze began to blow from an unknown direction.
*Crackle!
*Drip! *Drip! *Drip!
Within moments of the first few drops, rain began to fall again. And within seconds, it went from soft to heavy. The figure was unfazed as the rain pelted it, but one thing to note was the ting of metal every time a rain drop hit the figure. Thunder boomed again as the figure continued to gaze upwards unchanged. The figure then snorted as it glared back down at the ground, looking at the footprints as it slowly began to trail after Naruto's footsteps.
0000 Naruto – Broken Tower
"It's raining again…" Akako spoke as Naruto exited from a staircase.
"Again? Ugh…don't really feel like getting wet when I'm done here…" Naruto muttered as he glanced cautiously through an empty hallway. "Especially when there are ghost around…"
*TTTTtttttTTTTttTTTTtttTT!
*Crackle! *Boom!
Lightning and thunder rumbled outside as Naruto walked past a window. A flash of lightning lit up the hall briefly, Naruto inwardly gulped as he peered into another dark empty hall. His finger twitched as he took a cautious step, testing the floor as it looked…very…rotted away. He immediately pulled back as he heard a small squelch and that the floor sunk a little. Frowning, he tried by applying some chakra only to get the same result as well. He then tried the walls, but the walls in a similar condition. He sighed as he was going to have to do this the old fashioned way.
"Well…this is going to be fun…" Naruto commented as he slowly navigated his way through the hall.
Each step he made, he prayed to Kami that it wouldn't break or rip away just from simply applying some pressure.
"Naruto-kun?" Akako spoke again.
"Yeah Akako-chan?" Naruto replied as he placed another cautious step.
"I feel…I feel…something…something here…I don't know what…but it feels familiar…right Chiyo?"
"Hn. A little…I guess. We can investigate it later though." Chiyo replied quickly.
*Crackle! *Boom!
*Creak!

*CRACK!
"Heads up!" Akako shouted.
Veering his head up, Naruto's eyes come to see a large rotting beam break away from its confines and support and fall to gravity. Naruto cursed loudly as he jumped back, he immediately regretted it as when his foot hit the rotting floor, his feet sunk and the floor gave away, leaving a hole which engulfed his leg as a result.
"Crap! Crap! Crap!" Naruto said as he tried to pull his leg out.
*CRASH!
Naruto yelled again as the beam hit the aged wood, there was a groan before the floor underneath Naruto began to shake violently. Jerking his leg out from the wet hole, Naruto quickly jerked back as the floor gave away.
*Crash! *BANG! *CRASH! *Bang! *Bam! *Bang! *Crash!
Naruto winced visibly with every crash and bang that echoed with the falling debris.
"Ouch…that would've put me in a world of pain…thank you Akako-chan." Naruto said mentally.
"No problem Naruto-kun." Akako replied.
*Creak!
Naruto flinched slightly as the air suddenly felt colder, his jaws clenched tightly as he nervously looked behind him. A spectral form of a ghost could be seen glaring at him before raising a brow at the new hole in the hall. Naruto sheepishly rubbed the back of his head as a result.
"Ehehehe…sorry?" Naruto said nervously as the ghost glared at him again.
The ghost seemed to give him a deadpan stare before shaking its head as it vanished around a corner. Naruto sighed in relief as he turned around to examine the new obstacle. Examining the hole, he estimated about…six to seven meters large given from the nearby light source that came from a window. He placed a finger on the wall and gave a small disgusted grunt as the old rotting wood gave a squishy sound. Naruto gave a small hum in thought.
*Ssssssssss!
"Hm? Nani?" Naruto said in surprise as a familiar looking black blade formed on his arm.
*Gigigigigigigi!
The blade gave a giggle; Naruto only raised a brow in response to the giggle. A light bulb suddenly clicked as he recalled an old trick back at wave.
"Uh…Naruto…" Akako asked in worry.
"I advise you not to-" Chiyo tried but was interrupted.
Naruto took a few steps back before running forward. Reaching the edge, Naruto jumped, time slowed down before Naruto's form was enveloped in a dark spectral material before his dark form jolted forward. Moving from one dark place to another, time resumed as he slammed onto the floor when he reached the other side. He grunted as he rolled on the wet floor before coming to stop. Naruto gave a disgusted groan as he wiped himself off the rotting material that clung to his cloak and clothing.
"That was risky…" Chiyo said quietly.
"…but awesome! Can we do it again!? Please?! Pretty please!?" Akako said in joyful glee.
"Maybe later." Naruto replied with a slight wince as he rubbed his wrist.
Turning around another corner of a hallway, Naruto came to another staircase; he quickly made his way upwards before coming to a large lobby of sorts. An old desk was flooded with old paperwork, chairs were broken and overturned, but the split staircase, up top was a double door.
"We must be near; right up those stairs and you'll be near at the top." Chiyo spoke.
"Right." Naruto replied as he quickly made his way up the stairs.
Coming to the doors, Naruto attempted to turn the knob…only for it to creak and click. Naruto blinked owlishly at the knob before sighing muttering something about doors, right before kicking the door down with chakra. Rain immediately pelted Naruto's face as he walked out to a balcony, he looked to his left to see another set of stairs, this one spiraling to the top of the old tower, further reminding him of Konoha. Naruto only growled as he banished those thoughts before walking up the stairs, taking care to feel them out before pressing forward.
0000 Down below…
*Sniff! *Sniff!
*Click! *Click! *Clink!
The dark figure growled again as it sniffed the door leading to the inside of the same tower Naruto was in. Its glowing eyes narrowed before it raised an arm before bashing the door down to pieces. Walking inside, it took another whiff in the air. The figure gave a click before black runes formed on the ground, there was hellish screech and scream before four skeletal arms shot out followed by a body and armor pieces.
"We live again…" one spectral creation spoke.
"Life by the shadows…" another whispered.
"The hunt for souls is at hand…" the third added.
"We are one with twilight…" the last spoke.
The dark figure then grunted out a command before the ghostly creations screeched and screamed as they dashed into the darkness of the tower. The figure gave a small snort before following in suite.

*Creak!
Naruto peered in as he opened the door leading to his destination. A circular hall greeted him, and a desk as well, placed in the same fashion as the Hokage tower's own. Closing the door behind him, Naruto then made his way to the final door. He paused slightly, muttering something, then slowly opening the door.
*Creak! *Crunk!
A howl of wind and rain greeted him, courtesy of a collapsed ceiling next to the kage desk.
"Check the desk." Chiyo whispered.
Blinking, Naruto walked over to the kage desk before pulling open the drawers. Oddly enough, the papers were still readable, albeit barely. Naruto frowned as he read and skimmed through one paper before looking at another. Most of it was useless stuff such as complaints, reminders for a party, letters, etc. He opened another drawer and paused as he found a notebook and various papers stuffed in it. He picked it up gently before flipping the book open, he blinked in surprise as a volley of folded paper pieces fell out and landed on the floor. Naruto decided to read those later and refocused on the notebook. His frowned as he examined the first page.
"It's the 1st of June, I'm continuing my father's, and his father's, and his father's work and so on works since my coming to the seat. My father told me that his was very important, for many generations that our family has worked on this project and that they couldn't finish. I wonder what it is? How is it so important? Why has my family tree been so focused on it? What is it? I will find out tomorrow."
*Flip!
"June 2nd, my father took me yesterday to the project that my family has worked on for generations. And I have to say…I am baffled…amazed…intrigued…curious. Who made this? Who lived here before us? Who came here? How old is it? So much to learn and solve here…no wonder why it's deemed important. I see now why Uzu never let anyone in that much anymore and why the security was so strict and tight when I was a young un. And now I know."

"June 6th, we've found something of interest today. It was a machine yes, but…a very odd one. It was set up like a wagon of sorts but a large pillar armed with a giant metal spiral tool at the end. We're not sure what it was used for, there was a place you can sit in and various…mechanisms on a panel. I don't think it even works since were getting nothing out from it. But it is an interesting find indeed…"
Naruto examined a crude drawing of the machine described, a wagon, a pillar, and a spiral tool. Naruto winced as a memory popped up in his mind, a similar machine, alive and kicking was screaming loudly. Its spiral tool was sent crashing into a rock wall before the wall gave away, the tool pulled back and left a large gaping hole before being sent in again.

"June 10th, I've getting a bit busy with these things that focusing on politics with our neighboring countries is hard to focus on. But anyways, the team was able to dig out a large box of sorts. It sounds hollow from the noise it makes when hit on, but we are unsure of what's inside. We've tried opening it, but no success. We've tried to see we could melt it open, but looks like it's made of heat resistant material too. Tried shocking only for the user to get nasty surprise as it deflected right back. The workers said they'll try to figure out and open it. I'm just dying to know what's inside…"

I happen to be fiddling around with the machines around some sort of hall or chamber and…suddenly it came to life. A working machine! A living machine that still lives! This is so giddy! Hahahahaha! A breakthrough! Finally! There were words and symbols that I couldn't recognize though…I gave them to the experts and this is all they came out with. They were letters and numbers…not words. K46U9A and 5H1N0U, but 5H1N0U came along with 7UU3I as well. Other results came up but still translating. What do they mean? I must find out."

"Huh?" Naruto said in surprise.
It appeared that was the end, the other pages appeared to have been ripped out, making Naruto scowl as he was getting interested in whatever they found. He placed the booklet in his sack for later and picked up the folded pieces on the floor and place them along with the booklet. As he was closing his sack, he froze as a sound of metal sliding against one another. A familiar black blade formed on his arm before Naruto lifted his arm up in response to the sound.
"Look out!" both Chiyo and Akako shouted.
*CLANG!
"Tch!? Nani?" Naruto said in surprise.
His eyes came to look upon two glowing red eyes of a spectral skeleton similar to "Reaper". It screeched in his face before pushing him off balance and attacking.
