Chapter10

"Isn't that a little fast?" the redhead asked as she held the files to her chest as she kept looking at the both couples. Gray and Juvia looked at each other with a confused look in their eyes but then smiled and held their hands together tightly looking back at Erza.

"What's fast, Erza-san?" Juvia spoke wearing a warm smile on her lips. "Nothing is fast since the both of us have a mutual feelings." She continued making Erza space out of the word mutual feelings. If there was a mutual feeling between her and Jellal then why didn't he ask her to marry him? Why didn't he bring that topic once?

"Erza, Erza you still here?!" she suddenly woke up at Gray's voice calling over her name. she smiled nervously but then nodded not knowing what expression she should wear but then she glanced at her boyfriend to see that he was talking with some employee and didn't hear them talking at all. Sometimes, she never understood Jellal. Like he was completely different person from the guy she knew all along. She kept staring at him feeling lost.

"Are you alright, Erza-san?" Juvia asked as she saw the sad expression she wore not knowing what was wrong with her friend. Erza looked back at her friends with wide eyes.

"Of course I'm fine!" she said with a little cheerful expression and then she walked away waving her hand to her friends. "I will be going now, see you later." She walked out from the building heading to her car. Minutes passed and the pink haired finally showed up in the place his friends were giving them a smile as a greet.

"What are you doing?" Natsu asked as he looked at Gray and Juvia who were about to leave but waited when they Natsu coming.

"We were just about to leave but stopped when we saw you we stopped." Juvia answered as she looked at the salamander. Natsu raised both brows as he looked at her.

"That's very nice of you, Gray-san." He mocked trying to tease as he heard a chuckle from the blue haired woman. The black haired guy's cheeks turned pink leaving the hand he was holding and glaring at the manger.

"That was her not me!"

"How are you?" the redhead smiled after taking a sip from her coffee and then returned her head to her blonde friend who was holding the mug next to her mouth feeling its heat. She moved it away putting it on the table and raising her head to give the scarlet haired woman a smile.

"I'm fine, better than the past… living in your country is much better than living in a foreign country, after all." She smiled staring at the ground while moving her legs on the carpet playing a little. Erza paused as she kept looking at her while she was looking in another place not meeting her eyes feeling how hard it was to meet them.

"I…" Erza spoke as she broke the silence. "I heard about your mother." She got no answer from the blonde Lucy who stopped moving her legs but kept staring at the ground waiting for the redhead to continue her talking. "It must have been hard in you." Lucy forced a smile on her lips as she felt tears falling on her cheeks without any warning. Erza quickly left the mug from her hands o the table standing up and sitting next to her friend trying to ease on her.

"It has been… a six months already. I miss her so much!" she said between sobs and tears feeling the hand that rubbed her back.

"She was a great woman. I know… all of us know." Erza continued to rub her back.

"Do you know? After living seven years in there… I really, really regret doing that." she spoke once more. "I regret doing that to Natsu… I regret leaving him, I regret doing a lot of things." she broke in tears as she was held into a hug from Erza who started to cry together with her. "He changed; he turned to that heartless person because of me… I'm the reason for him to be broken like that. He sure hates me now!"

"I… I don't know anything about Natsu but,…" Erza said letting go of her friend as she kept staring her friend. "I believe he is not the type of the guy who can hate someone."

Natsu was standing in the balcony staring at the outside of his villa; the pool and the garden. He did a lot of things in his life in a very young age. He was millionaire and he didn't even reach thirty. It's a little sad thing that he didn't live his youth like other people. Even his friends did that, they did have a great life. But his broken heart never let him be like that. He started to remember what happened seven years ago. What did he go through all these years and how did he lose himself for alcohol and pain. He was eaten by them but suddenly a light saved him from what he was in and that light was his wife. His wife who he hated so much did nothing but to love him. She was insulted but never said anything to him and lived with him and never objected him and told her family about what he was doing. Later, Natsu didn't love her but… he respected her and how much she did for him to take him from the dark to the light. She was like an angel to him even though he never forgot about the blonde woman and a lot of times he mistook her name for Lucy's name. How much she felt jealous but never said anything or insulted her because she knew how much Natsu loved her. All of these things Natsu never realized until she left their world. He never realized those things until he read her diary. He never realized how much she suffered until she was gone from his life forever.

Emi loved Natsu since they were little kids and never forgot to bring him a present in his birthday. Sometimes, the presents would end up rejected. And sometimes, it would be thrown without being used. She was from rich family as Natsu were but, she was pure and liked Natsu because he didn't like to pretend to be rich like other kids did, he always disliked those things his father called meetings and work. He never became the man who loves nothing except money.

When his father saw his condition and how lost he was, he forced him to marry her in because he knew she was the only one that could change him into another man. Emi got pregnant because Natsu was drunk one night and Haru was brought to the life but giving birth was two hard even Emi couldn't bear and she lost her life without watching her son growing up.

The pink haired stretched his arms out at the air bringing his head to the back as he remembered those memories. Natsu became the man that has a very narrowed time and values the second but sometimes when he remember Emi, he end up wishing if he can return to five years to the past so he could be treat her differently and would be good to her. But people don't regret doing the thing until they can't fix it anymore and this was Natsu's situation. He wants to see her so much because he hurt her so much and he can't. Sometimes, Haru keeps asking him for his mother but he end up become confused and unable to answer him.

"And that's all."

Erza opened her mouth taking the last sip from the coffee she was served as she kept looking at the blonde who was all ears hearing her out. "Umm…" the blonde said as an answer looking down at the ground while thinking about what did she hear from the redhead. She raised her head to look at the redhead who was staring at her.

"He loved her?" Lucy asked as she kept concentrated looking at Erza and the scarlet head was surprised to hear that question she paused taking a breath and then looked at the blonde.

"I don't know about that but,… you know Natsu more than I do. You know when he will fall in love or not." She said looking away from the blonde.

"Umm." She said taking the Erza's mug to put it inside of the kitchen.

"By the way Lucy, what are you doing right now?"

Lucy came back from the kitchen as she sat down on the couch and looked at Erza. "I'm searching for a job." She rubbed her head. Erza paused as she kept looking at her as an idea stroke her mind and she grinned. Lucy shivered after seeing her grin knowing that something was playing inside her mind.

"You are scaring me."

"Ne, Lucy." Erza called as she grabbed the file that was on the table and looking at the blonde. "I'm Natsu's assistant and tomorrow I would announce for a secretary in the journal, what do you think?" Lucy frowned.

"Think of what, a job? With Natsu? You are kidding me right?!" she said as she stood up waving her hands in the air.

"It's perfect Lucy. You will have a proper job and even a good salary, I swear."

"Erza, I really can't. You know Natsu." She answered back.

"Natsu is not a problem. You know…" she paused as she stood up following the blonde. "Natsu's mind is all in work, he doesn't care who works with him." she tried to tempt her but Lucy was scared. How come Natsu is angry with her and Erza wants her to be his secretary.

She just can't!
