And a big thank you to those who favorite, are following, and added me to their authors list. So this is the last chapter before shit hits the fan. Then I will only have one dark chapter before I move to the present time. So, I hope I don't kill anyone's dreams but I promise you things will get better. So, I hope you all enjoy this chapter!

"So, tomorrow is the big day isn't?" I asked Thor as we walked the quiet hallways together. Loki and Frigga have gone for the day and Odin is off with the council, leaving me and Thor to ourselves. Thor's big 18th birthday is coming up and I can't wait till he opens the present I made him. He'll love it!

"Yes it is. I don't know why everyone must make a big fuss over it. I'm just adding on another year." He said and crossed his arm. I laughed and gave his shoulder a shove.

"Birthday's are always fun. Remember my birthday a few months ago? You had fun then right?" I asked him and he smiled.

"I remember punch was poured all over your head." He rubbed his jaw still smiling. "You my dear lady have one good punch."

"That's what you deserve you jar head. I've never been so embarrassed in my whole life." I said and Thor laughed. We fell into a silence then, just walking and breathing between us. We reached the gardens in a matter of minutes and when we did we sat under the tree the boys found me at when we first met. We sat holding hands, my head on his shoulder, and we were just sitting there relaxing. "Hey Thor?"

"Yes Odette?" Thor responded, his eyes closed as his head rested on my own.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Ask me anything you wish." He said and he tightened his grip on my hand.

"Someone, told me that something bad was going to happen soon. They said something bad was going to happen to me. What I'm asking is...if you promise that we'll stay together. Promise..."

"I'll protect you Odette I swear. Nothing bad will happen to you. We'll stay together I promise." He said and he looked at me. He took my chin and looked me in the eyes. "Can I asked for one birthday present early though? Just one?"

"But I only made you one gift though." I asked to him and he laughed releasing my chin to rest his hand on my cheek. He leaned in getting closer to my face.

"This gift, you don't have to make it. Just close your eyes." He said and when I did I could feel something press up against my lips. Our joined hands tightened even more and when Thor moved away he rested his forehead against mine with a smile on his face.

"Why did you kiss me?" I asked him and his smile faded.

"I had a dream the other night. A nightmare. I saw you get hurt because of me and I...I can feel it too. I just wanted to kiss you. An early gift." He said and I took his face in my hands. We stayed wrapped in each others arms just hoping tomorrow wouldn't bring the nightmare to life. We hung onto each other, making a promise to never let go.

But promises will always be broken even if they promise not to.

We went into the kitchen to get something to eat after that. We talked a little bit more and we danced a little bit actually because Thor's mother expects him to dance at his birthday. I had to laugh, he's not bad but he's not good either. After dancing and eating we went to see if Loki was done. On our way there something bad happened.

"Look out!" Thor pulled me along with him as one of the vases suddenly broke into millions of pieces. Then the next one broke and so on as we ran down the hall. The guards at the end ran towards us too when they saw what was happening. They pulled us behind them, drawing their swords just as Loki and Frigga came through the door.

"What is going on?!" Frigga asked as more things started to shatter. She threw up her hands just as something flew right towards me.

"We don't know. We were walking towards you guys and next thing we knew, things were flying at us. What's happening Frigga?" I asked her and she told the guards to search the palace for intruders. When the left Frigga told us to get inside the room where Loki and her were practicing.

"Some dark magic is at work. Inside, children. Not until this place is safe will you venture outside." She said and closed the door, sealing it. Thor, Loki, and I sat on the pillows on the ground just looking at each other.

Something bad was going to happen, something that could just...break.

And I was afraid.

I was truly afraid then.
