Haru's head hit the goose feather pillow. She laid there for a moment then curled up into a ball.

"Why?" she thought. "Why didn't he remember me?"

A single tear streaked down her fur covered cheek. Then there was a loud bang on the door.

"Oi! Haru! I know you're in there! Open up!"

"Muta!" Toto hissed. "Not so loud! Haru? Please let us in."

Haru didn't speak.

"Haru, kid, we just want to talk."

There was a click and Haru's face peered out of the door. She then disappeared back into the room, leaving the door open. Muta and Toto follow the tan cat to the far end of the room. Haru plopped back onto the bed. Muta and Toto just looked at each other. Then the big cat decided to take a shot.

"Ah… kid? It's not that bad. I mean so what if he doesn't remember you? Big deal."

"Muta!" Toto growled as he hit the cat square in his large stomach.

Haru buried her face into the pillow.

"Well," Toto started. "Is there anything we can do?"

Haru buried her face even further into the pillow.

Muta and Toto looked at each other once more.

"Kid, Lune told us that the Baron is staying in the palace as well," Muta admitted. "He said it's the one at the end of the hall."

"Why would I want to see him again?" Haru mumbled through the goose feathers.

Neither of the two spoke.

"Maybe we should just leave her alone," Toto murmured to Muta.

"I agree."

The crow hopped out of the room, follow by the giant cat. Muta then stopped at the doorway before leaving and looked towards Haru, head still buried deep in her pillow. Then he slowly walked away, closing the door behind him.

Haru lifted her head from the pillow.

Haru looked at the large door. She examined every part of it before even moving. Then she lifted her paw to knock on the door.

"What am I doing?" she thought. "There's no reason for me to be here."

She then turned around and began to walk away. Just then, the door opened.

"Oh, it's you."

Haru turned around, and there he was. The Baron.

"Uh- Um- Er-" Haru stammered. "Wrong room! Sorry!"

She then turned around and tried to leave as quickly as she could.

"Please, wait."

Haru's feet stopped moving.

"Who are you?"

Haru slowly turned her head around.

"I feel like I know you."

"But last night, you said you didn't know any cat named Haru," Haru said.

"Yes, I know," the Baron said, rather defensively, "but the more I think about it, the more familiar you are."

Haru's entire body turned to face the Baron.

"Baron-"

"Kitten?" a voice called. "Who is it?"

Paurua emerged from the doorway. He soft eyes turned vicious as they reached Haru.

"Oh. It's just you," she said, curtly. She then turned to the Baron. "Baron, sweetheart, come on or else we will miss the beginning," she purred.

"Just a second," the Baron said. "You can go back inside."

"No!" Paurua demand. "Come now!" She locked arms with the Baron and his face turned to that dumb smile. Then Paurua's posture changed and she turned away from the Baron. "Could it be…. that cat is more import to you than me?" She then let a single drop off of her cheek and began to slowly sob.

"Oh no! Of course not! She does not compare!" the Baron insisted.

Paurua stopped sobbing just long enough to shoot Haru a dirty look. Then she turned the water works again.

"Then why are you still here talking to her!" she cried.

"I'm not!" the Baron persisted. "See? I'm going to watch the movie with you."

Then they both left inside the room. Haru stood there for a moment, half expecting the Baron to pop out from the doorway and be his old self again. Sadly, the tan cat turned around and started back to her room. Before she got a few feet away from the door, it opened again. Haru turned around as quickly as she could but her smile vanished when she saw it was Paurua.

"Stay away from the Baron," she growled.

As the white cat turned to go back into the room, Haru stepped forward.

"Why?" she asked.

"Why?" Paurua repeated. "Because he loves ME. Because he is MY fiancée. Because no cat's love can compare to MINE." Paurua paused o regain what little composure she had left. "He is mine. And no alley cat-" she shot Haru another dirty look "-is going to even think of taking him from me."

Paurua then finished her point by slamming the door in Haru's face.
