Cye paced the front hall of the castle anxiously waiting for Syen and Teran as well as their families.
"Cye, you're going to wear a hole in the floor if you keep this up love." Cali said as she smoothed Kallium's hair after the boy had once again messed it up and stuck his tongue out at her.
"They're late." Cye responded.
"The sun is not even up yet. Relax." Cali sighed.

King Jine walked down one of the large castle staircases to the front hall with his wife Maria, they were to bade their children goodbye and then await Syen's return a week later. Maria was obviously upset at the thought of her sons and grandsons leaving but she held herself steady and walked with purpose. They entered the hall at the same time as Queen Zelda and Link who looked as if they'd managed to sleep better than Cye and Cali.

"Zelda," Maria greeted smiling.
"Maria, Jine."
"Are you certain you do not mind taking the children in?"
"Of course I do not mind, you're forgetting you once did me the same service."
"That doesn't mean you have to Zelda."
"I am aware Maria but it would be my pleasure!"

Link feeling uncomfortable with being around the royals discussing such things went and spoke with Cye.
"All set M'Lord?" Link asked.
"Yes, and I've told you it is Cye."
"Ah right, sorry Cye, I'm not used to being informal with royalty other than Zel."
"Don't worry you'll get used to it."
"I hope so. Teran informs me that we'll be parting from the women and children when we get to Hyrule?"
"Yes but we've no other plan."
"Well luckily for you I have an idea. We could go to the Kokiri Forest." Link suggests.
"The Kokiri forest? Isn't that where you're from?"
"Not quite. I lived there but I'm a hylian not a Kokiri but the Deku Sprout should allow us to stay there while we figure out where to find Desri."
"Ah, right but why not the castle?"
"Because Cye, Desri would be expecting that and he doesn't know I have joined your quest there for it'd be wise to stay out of sight."
"He makes a good point Cye." Teran said joining them "We can avoid being seen if we are smart about it."
"Desri may not even be in Hyrule Ter," Cye said. "But very well we'll do as Link suggests."
"Where is Syen?" Cali asked.
"Oh Leah forgot something for the baby, so they went back for it." Jine said as Zelda and Maria chatted.
"I'd better go help them, they're probably taking half their things." Cye laughed to cover his anxiety.
"Alright shall I help?" Teran said.
"No, no you stay here."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, stay here and wait for the Guard party."

"Alright." Teran said uncomfortably.

Cye left the hall after telling his parents where he was going and telling his wife he'd be back shortly. He climbed the left hand staircase and walked down corridor after corridor and up another staircase before turning and heading down the royal corridor and knocking on Syen's door.

"Syen?" He said softly.
"Just a minute!" Leah yelled then Cye heard heavy footsteps approaching the door and then it was pulled open by a very harassed looking Syen.
"Morning brother," Syen said gloomily.
"Morning, need help carrying your things to the front hall?"
"Yes, please come in." Syen said moving aside and waving his brother in.

Syen's home was messier than usual with Kayl's toys littering the amethyst living room carpet, and breakfast bowls on the table where the little boy was sat eating beside two abandoned bowls.

"Morning Cye." Leah greeted before hurrying off back into her and Syen's room with two toys Kayl had been pointing at tucked under her arm.
"Uncle Cyyy!" Kayl greeted before beginning to rise from the table.
"No, no Kayl you stay there and eat you breakfast." Cye responded to the frustration that flashed on Syen's face.
"Hmm, okay." He said digging his spoon back into his cereal.
"Cye, the bags are in the kitchen, well the packed ones are anyway." Syen said shuffling through into the kitchen which was again decorated in amethyst. Cye followed his brother being careful not to step on his nephew's toys.

"Would you grab those two please and I will take those three over there?" Syen said looking exhausted.
"Sure," Cye responded as he gathered the suggested bags.
"Leah, I'm going to take some bags down with Cye!" Syen called to his wife.
"Ok leave Kayl's for now he keeps changing what toys he wants." She called back.
"Yeah."
The brothers left together after Syen told his son to stay put and to behave for his heavily pregnant mother. To which his son responded that he always behaves.

The bags were not particularly heavy at first but as they continued down to the hall they seemed to be made of lead or iron and by the time they reach the hall dawn was breaking.

"Syen!" Jine smiled.
"Father, Mother." Syen greeted the black bags under his eyes evident as ever.
"Ready to leave?" Teran said to which Cye flinched having seen another six bags upstairs and knowing how exhausted Syen already was.
"Almost." Syen replied quite sharply as Cye tried to communicate not to ask such things to Teran using his face.

Over the next half an hour as the sun rose to prominence, Teran, Cye and Link helped Syen gather his family and his family's' bags and return to the hall where the small party of Guardians who were to protect the group and Syen when he returned to Cuix, were waiting at attention looking nervous to be so close to their King and Queen as well as Zelda.
Next, Teran and Link left the hall with some of the guards to ready the horses they would be using. Teran saddled both his horse - Luna - and Cye's horse -Cyro - for the journey with Link readying Epona and some of the Guard's and women's horses.

After a few upsetting goodbyes the party left later than they had wanted. They took to the North road due to the fact that few Cuixians would be out so early in the day and sped off toward the outskirts with their journey to Hyrule now underway.

Cyro was by far the quickest of the groups horses that was immediately obvious as he charged along the North road with Epona and Luna so close by but still ahead. Cye often had to pull Cyro into a walk to wait on the Guardian's and women's horses. The children often complained and moaned and soon Kallium was to be found sat in front of his Father on Cyro when the original plan had been for the boy to ride with his mother. Kayl was sat on Syen's horse with Leah riding alongside them and Teran was to be found with his son Jason in front of him who was by far the quietest of the children even two hours into their ride the boy had not moaned or cried his only rival in this was his twin sister Jelen who was riding with their mother, she often pointed out pieces of scenery or giggled as her mother joked with her.

As the dark of night descended Teran signalled the party to slow and pull down a small path as agreed upon by Cye and they readied a Camp for the night with the Cuixian Guardian's taking two hour shifts on watch as Syen tucked Kayl in and Cali attempted to tuck Kallium in despite his repeated protest of "I'm not tired!" Cye who had been sitting watch with a Guardian soon had to walk over and tell his son off for his yelling then with the Sericius' children drifting to sleep Jenna could be heard singing to her twins as Teran slouched against a tree watching. Cye collected some broth from the pot over the fire he and Syen had made earlier and took it to his friend.

"It's quite hot be careful." Cye said handing the broth to Teran.
"Thanks Cy."
"Anytime, kids give you much hassle?" Cye asked.
"Not really. They still see this as a grand adventure, plus they're older than Kal or Kayl so they aren't at the difficult stage,"
"Very true I guess. Jelen seems to be getting better, I bet that's a relief?"
"Most certainly. Especially with us needing to go to Hyrule. I was quite concerned for her."
"I'm sure you were, whenever Kal gets ill me and Cali find it so hard to sleep and then due to exhaustion we're of shorter temper and all. I really do not know how you manage all that you do Brother."
"Practice, after all your father was always correct to say practice makes perfect."
"That he is. I think we should leave shortly before dawn, we don't want to attract any more attention than what's needed and as soon as the women are asleep we should put the fire out. I know it is cold but the fire and its smoke gives us away."
"Yes I agree. I believe Jenna has already turned in for the night."
"Ah I think Syen and Leah did too, Syen said he'd take a watch next but I would rather let him rest he has been awake a very long time."
"Agreed. I'll take the other shift so when you go to rest I will be on watch then when I go to rest you will. I would feel safer doing it that way especially as Desri could be anywhere right now."

The sun was again setting as the party reached castletown, the day's ride had taken a lot of their energy and the children had long since drifted off on horseback. The party had drawn their cloaks and raised their hoods as soon as they reached the Hylian border with even Zelda hiding her face. Link had changed that morning from his usual green tunic into a brown one as those within Hyrule knew him mainly by his dress rather than his face. At the gate to Hyrule Castle Cye dismounted, aided Zelda's dismount and his wife's as Teran aided his and Syen his own wife. Cye held his son on his hip as they raised the gate and a Guardian took the reigns from him and led the horses at a walk onto the castle grounds, they had finally arrived.
Cye kissed his son and passed him to Cali at the main doors and whispered he would return for them as his son slept on. Syen nodded to his brother before they embraced clasped each others hands and wished each other luck. The Guardians saluted Cye, Teran and Link then they entered the castle upon Zelda's command.

"Luck to you brother, I hope you return soon." Syen said as he moved his sword from his back to his hip.
"Look after them okay?" Cye said with worry within his brown eyes.
"Always,"
"If you have any trouble from my two tell them you'll inform me, they'll settle down right away." Teran said clasping Syen's hand.
"Thanks, I'll make sure to take care of Mother and Father when I return home."
"Good, we had better leave Cye the night is wearing on and Kokiri Forest is quite a way and I would rather not risk us three being seen together any longer than needed."
"Link's right Cye we must go." Teran said as he and Cye stole one last look at their families as they vanished into the castle.
"They will be safe here." Zelda began. "I will not see them come to any harm."
"I know and we thank you Zelda." Cye said promptly.
"I will see you soon Zel." Link said kissing her cheek.
