Chapter 10

"Onmyō?" Saya said, looking at the snoring man sleeping on the counselor sofa. "Hey wake up." Saya said, giving a Onmyō a little pat on the cheek, making Onmyō open his eyes slowly. "Uhh, what time is it?" He asked, switching sides to face the sofa. "It's time for you to get up, school is about to start any minute." Saya said, waiting for Onmyō to get up. "Give me a minute…" He said as he slowly got up and walked over to the coffee machine before grabbing some already made coffee. "Rough night?" Saya asked. "You could say that…" Onmyō said, taking a sip of his coffee.

"What happened?" Saya asked. "I'm not sure, but whatever it is, it's got me staying up all night and doing some magic stuff…" Onmyō said, wiggling his fingers in the air to empathizes. "Magic?" Saya asked, confused. "How do I put it… a woman that I don't know pops in my bed, then disappears the second I move. I'm also getting flashback of my past, and I've met some of my old… colleagues a few weeks back." Onmyō said, taking a big gulp of his coffee before getting more.

"Onmyō, you aren't making any sense, what's going on?" Saya asked, worried for him. "The reason why I know so much about the Otherworld and its inhabitants, are because I LIVED there Saya. I am someone who has lived for countless of centuries and never aged at all, I still don't. Though I feel as if my "colleagues" are trying to get something and if I don't stop them, something bad will happen. Though I have no idea what they are planning; I feel as if my last bit of memory as an Otherself was erased or something. That last bit of memory probably holds the key to all this…" Onmyō said, thinking hard as he continuously drank more coffee. "Onmyō… that's a little bit hard to take in… you, being several centuries old and haven't aged one bit…" Saya said, in deep thought, she was worried that he was starting to lose it for some reason.

"Saya, I need you to believe me on this. If you think I'm crazy, let me tell you…" Onmyō started before walking right next to Saya and looked into her eyes as she did the same, "I. AM. NOT. INSANE." He said, before backing up a little to give Saya some space. "Ok… though do get some rest alright?" Saya asked, knowing that Onmyō showed nothing but seriousness in his eyes.

The first bell rang for the teachers to know that the students would be coming to class.

"And then you divide the Equilibrium by the diameter of the large circle…" The teacher said, continuing his boring lesson of whatever.

"Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to become a student here, I already know this…" Rock thought as she stared out of the window with a hand on her cheek in boredom. Rock looked over to Mato who was writing down something, it surprised Rock as she knew that Mato wasn't the kind of girl to take notes; especially during such a boring class.

"I wonder where Black Gold Saw is… I bet she's plotting something to try and get back at me…" Rock thought as she made a fist with her free hand at how she almost choked Mato to death. "Then there's those cloaked guys… Onmyō seems to know some of them… what does he share with them?" Rock thought before giving a sigh.

Before Rock could do anything else, she suddenly felt the presence of someone right above her, about to destroy the ceiling. Out of instinct, Rock leapt out of her chair and did a summersault as she hit ground and landed on her feet, right before whoever destroyed the roof right above Rock's seat came through.

"What in God's name?!" The teacher shouted, surprised as to what just happened. "An Otherself… and if I know anyone with that type of presence, it has to be…?" Rock said quietly to herself, only to realize that it wasn't who she thought it was, but rather it was close. "So…" A female voice said, in a cloud and dirt that floated around Rock's destroyed seat. "This is the famous Black Rock Shooter… you don't seem that strong if you ask me." She said, before walking out of the cloud of dust and dirt to reveal a tan, orange eyed; steam-punk dressed woman standing there.

"I can't risk fighting or bringing suspicion right now, I'll have to run till we go someplace more… isolated." Rock thought before taking off, bringing whoever attacked just now, with her outside of the classroom.

Though before Rock could even get ready to kick her speed up, she was grabbed by her one of her now shortened ponytails and thrown out of one of the several windows in the hallway. As Rock fell, she managed to relocate herself and land on her feet with ease; though she quickly jumped out of the way as her opponent tried to land on Rock's head with her boots.

Rock backed up before summoning her Black Blade to her hand. This wasn't the place she was looking for, but the construction site next to the building would do. "Just who is this woman? She has to be an Otherself… but who's is she's?" Rock thought as she got ready to fight. Though before she could react, the woman leapt at Rock, grabbing her sword hand and ripping it off before breaking both of her legs so she was now laying on her back while the woman sat on top, beating the crap out of Rock.

"Orenji!" A familiar voice called out, and the woman stopped. "Wait a second…" The woman said, turning to look behind her to see Onmyō standing there behind her with Rock's sword in his hand. "Sup." He said before he kicked the woman named Orenji off Rock and made her fly a few meters until she hit a pile of cement blocks and stayed there for a while.

"This is yours…" Onmyō said tossing Rock her sword which she caught with her other hand. "Hold still…" Onmyō said as he leaned down and reached for Rock's broken legs, but Rock smacked away Onmyō's hands and said, "I can do it myself. I also can take this bitch on my own." Rock said as she snapped her legs back in place before getting up. "If that's what you think, go right ahead." Onmyō said, as he walked away and picked up a long steel pipe.

About 10 seconds later Rock was sent sliding back to Onmyō on the concrete and stopped sliding on a big white X on the floor. "I know her; she's the kind of woman that thinks like you." Onmyō said with a smirk as he tossed a piece of chalk up before catching it. "What's that supposed to mean?" Rock asked, annoyed. "It means that you think forward sometimes and you don't use your head." Onmyō answered.

Onmyō ran towards Orenji and ducked right as she was sending a punch, though as Onmyō was safe, he turned on his heels and spun around his opponent before swinging his steel pipe right at Orenji's left kneecap; making her get down on that knee. Onmyō then got behind her and continuously swung his pipe against her head, not letting up. After a few seconds, Orenji grabbed the pipe and Onmyō grabbed tightly before he was flung over her, accidentally letting go of the pipe and flew back to Rock, landing on his feet,.

"That's the old Orenji I knew, always so spunky, yet so straightforward with everything until she understood what was happening." Onmyō said as he straightened up. "Nice job Sherlock, wanna go at it again?" Rock asked. "She's an old friend of mine that hasn't said hello in a while, so she is a little bit smarter than before." Onmyō replied. "I'd hate to ask this but, do you have any ideas of beating her?" Rock asked. "We bring the building down on her."

Rock looked around, the only thing she could call of this a building were the steel bars that were placed to be the main supports of the building. "That's a nice idea and all, but how are we going to even do that?" Rock asked "If memory serves, Orenji's body is harder than steel, so all we have to do is get her to destroy the steel bars that are holding the ones above us. We could actually do it if you used your Rock Cannon, but seeing as how you only have one arm…" Onmyō said, looking at Rock. "Give me the sword…" He said, holding out his hand.

"What makes you think I'll just give you that?" Rock asked. "I don't mean to interrupt the father-daughter moment, but can you just shut up and fight me?" Orenji asked. Rock growled in anger, "You think this man is my father? How wrong you are!" She shouted before running at her opponent who got in a stance.

Rock got her sword ready, and as soon as she was within swinging distance, she almost ran into Onmyō who suddenly flew past Rock like a cannonball hit him and stopped once he hit a steel pillar. He slammed into the ground, and although he was down, he wasn't out. He placed his palm against the ground and tried to push himself up, but screamed in pain before falling back down.

"That fool is still alive? He is one tough bastard…" Orenji thought, licking her lips; Rock raised an eyebrow before jumping back. "What happened? Onmyō somehow got in front of me before being shot through the air like that… and this woman hasn't moved an inch from that pose…" Rock thought, holding her sword in a defensive position.

Suddenly, something exploded out of Rock's shoulder where her missing arm was. It was covered in blue blood, but as soon as the blood disappeared it revealed to be Rock's arm, back in its rightful place. Rock grinned in anticipation as she summoned her Rock Cannon and started firing at the Steel Pillars holding everything up.

The bars started to bend as her fire hit them, before she managed to weaken one enough to where it was starting to creak. Rock aimed her Cannon at that specific one, right before Orenji grabbed her by the ankle and threw her at that exact pillar. Before she hit it, she felt something wrap around her, then she felt the sudden stop but no pain coursed through her body.

She was released before looking at what happened, Onmyō managed to save her once again, this time he had his eyes closed and wasn't breathing.

"Look at that, the baka was stupid enough to try and save you! How stupid of h-… eh?" Orenji started before looking around to hear the rest of the pillars start to creak. Unknowingly, she just doomed herself as everything collapsed around her and landed on top of her.

When the dust settled, everything had landed on top of her. "You really are an idiot…" Rock said as she turned around to see Onmyō, barely even breathing. She stared at him before her weapons and made them disappear.

"Rock!" A male voice said, sounding as it was getting closer. Rock turned to see a short, fat, balding man running up to her in a suit. "What happened here, are you alright!?" He asked once he was in front of Rock. "Principal…" Rock said, sounding innocent. "AH! Onmyō!" He said, kneeling down to look over him. "Rock, tell me what happened!" He demanded, trying to hold back his temper. "Onmyō-sensei protected me from whatever attacked me. The result was this collapsing on them" Rock said, pointing to the pile of steel bars all in a pile. "Onmyō… managed to do that?" The principal said before looking at Onmyō to see him slightly grinning. "I don't know if I should fire you for destroying the extension of the school… or give you a raise for protecting a student." The principal said before the wail of sirens could be heard.
