(Ahri's POV)
After our meeting with the seemingly helpful but crazed lion-man rengar, we had decided to stay in a most peculiar hotel. The reason why I say peculiar is because it was rather lavishing in every sense of the word. When Rengar had left us we had asked for directions to a nice hotel. One kind stranger had directed us to the "princeon". Apparently the hotel was meant only for champions and Summoners, both of which the stranger mistook us for. Before I could correct him Curtis had quickly shushed me discreetly and dragged me towards the direction of the hotel.
As we came close to what I assumed was the building, I couldn't help but awe at the sight. It looked rather majestic but out of place in the small town, two lion statues in front of a pair of double brown Oakwood doors. The building was rather dull in terms of color though, a quite ugly grayish color adoring its walls.
When we had arrived inside of the hotel, I must admit, I was tempted to explore every inch of the divine palace. Everything was a mixture of dazzling whites, gold and silver colors along with many other beautiful colors. There was a big chandelier hanging in the middle of the enormous room, looking ever beautiful along with the pristine fountain underneath it that seemingly cycled water. There were a twin set of spiral stairs, leading to the different levels of the nice resort. Every floor must have had at least twenty rooms as each floor formed a circle, the giant chocolate colored stairway connecting all the levels. To the right of us was a trio of attendants I presumed, standing behind a large brown desk looking straight at me. They all happened to be woman who had been whispering among themselves and blushing slightly for whatever reason.
I simply ignored them as I stepped away from Curt to admire the water fountain. I dipped my hand in experimentally and couldn't help but smile as I could see my hand clearly through the outrageously clean water. I turned to my left to wave Curtis over when I saw that he was seemingly all too eagerly talking to the three attendants. I felt my eyebrow twitch involuntarily.
"I can't believe this playboy," I thought mockingly.
"Don't jump to conclusion," I heard the voice of reason say sweetly.
I sigh and strut over silently behind him, hands outstretched. I knew he had sensed me but it was too late as I wrapped my arms around his neck possessively. I let a sly grin play on my lips as his head turns towards mine, just a breath away from me.
"So whatcha doing Hun?" I ask in a venomly sweet tone. I laughed inwardly as I caught the jealous looks from the attendants.
"You're right she is beautiful!" The one to the far right said, her hands clasped together in front her.
"I know right?" I heard Curt reply in a light tone.
I was slightly confused, looking between the four until I felt Curtis' soft touch on my hands.
"I was just talking about my favorite foxy lady becoming a champion and inviting me to explore this extravagant hotel with her," he says confidently, answering my question from earlier with a wink.
I felt my cheeks heat up from embarrassment. There were very few things that made me embarrassed and curt publicly expressing his love for me was one of those. Unable to think clearly I merely tuck my head behind him, shielding myself from the prying eyes from the seemingly amused attendants.
I hear Curtis let out a laugh before saying, "she gets really shy when I flaunt my love for her in public."
"You're so getting punished later," I mentally whisper evilly.
"I look forward to it," he replied playfully.
Before I could retort one of the attendants, this time the middle one, speaks up.
"Well don't let us hold you two," she says nicely before reaching under the desk and producing a set of sliver keys. "we, along with everyone else, would like to welcome you to the champion's stay. We hope to see you on the field's of justice, Ahri the nine-tailed Fox."
"Waa..."
Thank you," Curtis interrupted, tugging me along softly toward the twin spiral stairs in the middle of the large room. As I stepped behind him I couldn't help but feel foolish and childish. I had rushed to his side, for what reason I could only assume is a small sense of fear of him leaving me. I was addicted to him in every sense of the word. I let out a quiet laugh; I already knew that awhile ago. I was sweetly pulled out of my deep thinking when I felt quick and pleasant warmth on my cheek.
"Kiss for your thoughts?" I heard Curt say softly with a warm smile.
I smile widely, about to express my "opinion" when I hear a new voice.
"Look who joined the party cupcake."
I look up and at the base of the stairway was, if I was being honest, a pair of intriguing woman to say the least.
One of them had a peculiar tattoo planted on their face, the letters 'vi' stamped on her left cheek. She was wearing a black shirt and a pair of gray sweatpants that looked rather snug on her. Her short dark pink hair sat above her shoulders, the bangs threatening to cover up her amethyst eyes. Plastered on her face was also a rather cocky looking grin if I had to say so myself.
The woman next to her looked more...normal, at least compared to her counterpart. She had her brown air tied up in a bun, two strands hanging on either side of her face. She wore a purple shirt underneath the pink jacket she had decided to leave open, showing off her decent sized breast. She did wear some very nice looking black pants. The article of clothing showing off her frame quite nicely. Her face was static though I could tell there was a hint of curiosity in her brown eyes.
"Hello there, I suppose you're a new champion?" The black haired woman questioned, her hand pointing towards me. I felt my ears twitch involuntarily at the sound of her voice. To say it was pleasant was an understatement. But her pointing a finger at me was a different subject.
"You know it's quite rude to point," I say mockingly. I could feel Curtis poke at my thoughts but I ignored him as I kept a leveled gaze with the nosey woman.
She seems to retract her hand before laughing it off, much to the displeasure of her unique acquaintance who looked like she was itching for a fight.
"Sorry, how bout we start over then," she finally retorted before raising her hand to her chest." My name is Caitlyn and this is my partner and friend Vi. What is your name as well as your...friend," she announced, saying the last part cautiously.
I detach myself from Curtis and stand side to side with him.
"My names Ahri," I proclaim proudly as I place a hand on my hip. I angle my tails towards my love and add, "and this little guy is Curtis." I inwardly smile as I could feel embarrassment roll off of Curtis. I cast a glance at him and had to suppress a laugh as he scratches his head nervously before waving shyly to the woman.
"It's nice to meet you Ahri and Curtis," Caitlyn says sweetly, smiling a soft smile. "we were just going to a party, like to join us?"
Before I could even think on it Curtis already replied for us.
"We would be honored to accompany you two to the party," slightly bowing to them in a polite way though his thoughts were a different story.
A sense of anxiousness and glee played on his mind. I could only guess it was due to from the chance that we could find Elise.
Ugh, I hate when he gets...tunnel vision. Sometimes he can be so hard-headed.
I grab his arm before I ask them to lead the way. If I was being honest I was a little tired but I too wanted to find Elise. If not for the woman I would still be sucking the life essence out of the men I had slept with. Just the mere thought alone had driven me to help Curtis in searching for her. But of course that was not my only reason for searching for her. If not for her I would probably have never met the man I'm in love with today and for that, I am eternally grateful.
As we walked through the simply fadazzling structure, I struck up a conversation with Curtis.
"Don't be overzealous," I whisper to him through our link.
"I wonder who you heard that from," he shot back mockingly.
I let a small smile grace my lips before replacing it with a confused expression as the pink haired woman glanced at me. I simply ignore it before rubbing my hand along Curt's arm.
"What are you going to do if we don't find her?"
"Then we'll just look at the institute, no bi-
"I meant in general," I interrupt solemnly. I brace myself as I feel a wave of fear and anger.
It takes him a while to answer and I couldn't help but feel that he was angry at me. To my surprise he quickly slips from my grip and wraps an arm around me, bringing me in a little too close much to my embarrassment.
"I guess we'll have to continue on with our plan without her then," he interjects, shooting me a playful grin.
I couldn't help but blush madly and look away from his beautiful green eyes. Damn him! I truly would have to punish him later.
To my slight annoyance when I cast my glance in front of me the pink haired woman was staring at me again.
"Is there a problem?" I ask, raising a brow to the growingly irritating woman.
She scratches her chin before replying rather bluntly, "what are you?"
My eyebrow twitches involuntarily and I felt anger swell in my chest. I could hear Curtis try to whisper calming words to me but I would have none of it.
"What the hell is your problem?" I answer in quiet rage.
At this point we all stop walking, her partner turning around from my comment. She doesn't seem to want to start anything as she places a hand on the woman's shoulder and whispers angrily to her.
"But cupcake-" she begins in a soft tone before she is interrupted by the woman again in low whispers, followed by a swift motion of her hand.
"Alright, alright. sheesh," Vi said in annoyance.
"Sorry," she says begrudgingly, scratching the back of her head in a nervous fashion and looking somewhere other than my general direction. I could tell it pained the woman to apologize, and I didn't want to trouble Curtis, so I let that sedate my anger...for now.
"Apology accepted. Maybe If you asked in a more polite way I would have told you."
The woman mummers something underneath her breath before her partner waves all of us along as she continues to lead us to this supposive party.
"Ahri..."
"No Curtis, she was in the wrong. That was just plain rude," I interrupted him sternly, crossing my arms and narrowing my eyes toward him.
"I was just going to ask if you were alright," he admitted quizzingly. He tried to comfort me but every time he tried I would step a hair's inch away from him. This happened several times before he smiled devilishly.
"Ok beautiful, that's how you want to play, "he said quietly before placing his hands behind his back.
As we continued walking I couldn't help but awe at well, everything. It looked as if the divine ones made the place. From the rich brown trimmed paintings hanging on the wall to the scattered funituring. The seemingly long but in actuality short hallway's walls were paved with a simply beautiful gold that seemed to brighten up the place.
We finally arrived at the end of the hallway in relative peace. I was a little weary that Curtis hadn't said a word and even more so that I couldn't hear his thoughts since his earlier comment. The woman known as Caitlyn smirked at us before she opened the set of double doors.
To say it was a party was an overstatement. Sitting along a circular white couch was a group of colorful characters, all in comfortable clothing. Much to my annoyance there were four females and one male, the situation not being stilled due to the fact that the one male had beautiful features.
They were all chatting quietly amongst themselves with drinks in their hands. The room itself was small, only supporting a table, a couch around the table, a small refrigerator in the corner, along with a small door along the opposite wall.
"Hello everyone. I'd like to have everyone's attention for a moment if you would," the woman known as Caitlyn asked politely.
Much to my ever growing annoyance everyone fell silent and turned to look at us. Nervousness settling inside me somewhat, I stood tall and avoided the wandering looks. I glance at Curt and withheld my left eye from twitching.
He was standing there rather commendable, arms behind his back and face forward. If I didn't have a link with him, I swore I would have needed to squint my eyes to see if he was breathing.
"I'd like us all to welcome to the league Ahri and her boyfriend Curtis," Caitlyn announced.
To my amusement they all said in unison 'welcome'.
"I'm glad to be here," I replied sweetly, giving them a small wave and a smile
"Thank you for having us," I heard Curtis answered. My eyes narrowed as I saw three of the girls giggle and I couldn't help but look at the cause.
Curtis was half-bent over in a bow, his bed of hair present to everyone. My eyebrow twitches before I slap his back rather roughly, causing him to stagger slightly.
"Isn't he such a gentleman," I laughed rather loudly.
After the little introduction we had Joined them along my left sat a pale woman with silver hair that was tied up, a strange symbol on her head, to my right curt. To Curtis's left sat a very petite woman, a sliver of her black hair colored red from the rest. Her face was contorted into one of curiosity, but there was something else...distaste perhaps?
Her eyes met mine, and so began our staring contest. I would have continued if Curtis's voice hadn't pierced the silence.
"I know she's beautiful ma'm but could you stop staring at her like that, it's just a little unnerving," he said coolly.
I blush before turning to him and slapping his arm weakly. I groaned inwardly as the majority of the people around us laughed it off, subconsciously hiding behind one of my tails.
"My sincerest apologies," the woman giggled. Her voice carried a thick accent, one that was very pleasant if I had to say so myself. The woman gestured to herself before introducing herself, "My name is Fiora Laurent."
To describe the woman I would say she was pretty, but also obviously groomed from royalty. The way she talked and the mannerisms of her actions made that very clear. She had very beautiful features, her eyes complimenting her unique choice of hair. She was wearing highly comfortable looking grey looking sweat pants along with a light pink-and rather tight-shirt that showed off her rather large bust.
"He seems like a gentleman Ahri, a rarity in the league I'm afraid," the sliver haired woman commented with a smile.
"She gets it," I heard Curtis whisper to me through our link triumphantly.
"Ahuh," I reply dismissively, not wanting to indulge in his fantasies.
"I think you're just mad because you have a wonderful boyfriend who knows it," he continued happily.
"Yea...wonderful boyfriend," I mummer, smiling inwardly as I know what would happen next.
"Wait, what's that supposes to mean?" He asked quickly. After I gave him no reply he started quickly into a frantic assault of suggesting things which have might lead to my displeasure.
"Yea he's pretty wonderful," I say with a smile.
Ahriiiiiiii, tell me what I've done wrong," he whined, and I couldn't help but let out a laugh. I quickly waved off the curious glances at my outburst and beckon them to continue with the introductions.
Well my name is Diana and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintances" she said with a soft smile. Oh my word. If every woman in the league were as nice as them I think I would be spending a little less time with Curtis…if only a little.
"So how about we introduce ourselves hmm?" The only other male in the room said cheerily. "My names ezreal."
"I get it. Your just messing with me right? Yes very funny..." Curtis said tiredly.
His blue eyes seemed to sparkle in contrast with his seemingly friendly attitude. I couldn't help but shoot a smile towards him. I was curious to the woman who grasped his arm and nudged him lightly.
"Don't worry Sona I was going to introduce you too," he said sheepishly while scratching his head. He gestured to the beauty sitting next to him, his eyes casting a low glance in what I assumed was nervousness. I found it kind of weird that she wouldn't introduce herself, but I held my tongue so as not to seem rude.
"Is this about Elise?" He blurted worryingly."I told you I love you both equally!" He added. Ok I've had enough fun I think it was time to stop. I bat an eye towards him and I had to suppress a smile as he was in deep thinking, head down and face scrunched up slightly. I used several of my tails to brush up against his face, causing him to jump slightly at the touch. He finally looks up toward me and I give him a loving smile.
"I love you Curtis. You're everything I could have ever wanted and more. If I had to complain about anything, anything!" I empathize before finishing, "it would be the fact that I can't have you all to myself after we find Elise."
He smiled before grabbing one of my tails that were idly swaying, stroking it in a gentle and obviously affectionate way.
"I love you so much Ahri," he replies back so softly that it makes my heart skip a beat.
"I know you do...but you're still getting punished later," I whisper seductively.
The woman seated next to ezreal was nothing other than gorgeous. Her blue hair tied into two long ponytails that were held by two yellow ribbons. She wore a light pink night gown, leaving her smooth shoulders exposed.
This here is my girlfriend Sona," he announced, each word portraying his nervousness.
The woman gave a small wave to us before poking the man's cheek, a small smile on lips.
"Gosh you two get a room," vi taunted with a grin before taking a sip of her drink.
Sona scratched her chin, seemingly thinking the very idea over before turning towards ezreal, winking at him.
The man scratched his head before taking a nervous sip of his drink. He whispered something to Sona, which in turn made her grin before patting his head softly.
"Sona would it be possible if I asked you a question?" I ask politely. She nods her head towards me, signaling for me to ask away.
"Are you Sona, the renowned songstress that plays beautiful music?"
She nods her head and I can't help but feel honored. I bowed my head lightly. "I am honored to meet you. Me and Curtis were hoping to hear one of your masterpieces when we arrived to the league."
She held a hand to her heart with a gentle smile on her face. She seemed as if she was going to say something, but then stopped herself and pulled out a pen and a notebook.
"Sona is mute," Ezreal explained, probably due to my baffled expression. I let out a quiet 'o' as that explained everything up to this point.
The majority of us turn our attention to Sona as she begins scribbling. Shortly after she's done she holds it up for us to see.
'It's nice to meet you Ahri and Curtis. I would be delighted to play for you guys if you would allow me to go get my Etwahl :)'
"Oh nonono it's alright." Ahri said quickly. "we wouldn't want to take you anyway from the party."
"She's not speaking for the both of us," Curtis said quickly, a little too quickly...
The woman stifled a silent laugh before scribbling on her notepad again. As she was writing I quickly batted an eye towards Curtis.
"You seem awfully set on hearing her play."
"Well shouldn't I? After all she is the maven of strings is she not?" He replies back smoothly.
"I suppose you have a point," I sigh before I hear Curtis chuckle mentally.
"Don't worry Ahri, Your melody is the only one that woes me," he said softly, his voice as smooth as silk.
"Wow that would be really sweet if it weren't for the fact that I don't play an instrument or sing!" I replied mockingly.
"So what would call that beautiful melody you would sing while we make love?"
At that comment I blushed in embarrassment, my eyes downcast as Curtis merely hummed a small tune as he continued to stroke my tail lovingly.
"Is something the matter Ahri?" I look up towards Caitlyn and quickly waved her off.
"I just...got light-hearted all of the sudden," I reply after collecting myself. In truth aside from Curtis flirting with me I did indeed feel a little tired then I normally do...and really hot.
"A little weary from your journey?" She suggested to which I nodded my head a little with a smile. "Maybe you should get some rest?" She added with a polite smile. To say that this woman was an angel was an understatement.
I turned towards Curtis before patting his hands that were stroking my tails.
"I think I'm calling it a night Hun," I said sweetly before getting up. "Just come back when you're done."
"Try to get information on Elise," I whisper through our link. I was about to make myself scarce when I was lifted off my feet, letting out a small yelp in surprise. Curtis was holding me like a princess, a goofy grin on his face.
"I can't leave my little foxy wazy all alone now can I?" He jested much to my embarrassment.
"What about finding Elise?" I ask quickly. He smiled that same idiotic smile that he always did before replying.
"You're just as important to me as Elise Ahri."
"Whyyyyyy are you so embarrassing," I whined before stuffing my face in his chest, trying to hide from ensuing laughter and fits of giggles. As the laughter did in fact happen I felt something swell up inside of me. My breath caught and I couldn't help but-
"Achoo!"
That's when it happened. Vi jumped up and I could feel her hovering next to me.
"So cuteeeeee!" She blurted.
I felt Curtis swing me away from her and I silently thanked him.
"Wouldn't want you to get sick," I heard him say to Vi.
"But...but," she started before there was a snap of some sort.
"Vi," I heard Caitlyn say in a stern voice.
Vi sighs and I assume she has taken a seat back on the couch.
After vi settled back down Curtis had started to say our goodbyes for us though I wasn't really paying attention, too indulged in Curtis musk at the moment. He smelled like snow with a light hint of sweat sprinkled in more and giving into my selfish desires I tried to dig myself deeper in his chest.
"Ahri love, you going to say goodbye to the nice folks," I heard Curtis whisper through my mind, effectively snapping me out of my trance. I turn my head and give a small wave to everyone.
"Thank you for having us, I hope we can do this again sometime, preferably when in not sick," I say sweetly. To my surprise it was the lady with the beautiful accent that replied.
"I think for all of us when we say that you two are always welcomed," Everyone on the couch nodded-beside vi and ezreal who just gave a thumbs-up-.
I couldn't help the warm feeling spread through me at the moment. Was this the feeling you get when you have friends?
"I think it is Ahri," I hear Curtis whisper softly in my mind. That's right, Curtis didn't have any friends either, beside me and Elise, but I think we counted a little bit more to be classified as 'friends'.
"Again we thank you for the hospitality," I hear Curtis say politely before he's making his way to what I assume is the door. As I'm about to lose myself in his scent again I hear a gasp escape him and he stops. I feel his heart start to pound in his chest.
"Curtis what's wrong?" I ask worryingly, looking up towards him. His eyes are centered forward and so I follow his gaze, and I gasp too.
Standing there, in the door way, is none other than Elise herself.
authors notes-hope you enjoyed and truly sorry for the wait.
