Chapter 10: The Secret
"Oh man, oh man! I'm such an idiot!" Kevin rushed into the laundry room and took off his new leather jacket. "Of course I would spill something on it…" He poured soap into the washer and piled in other dirty clothes that he brought with him. While placing cleaner onto the new spill he thought about Friday night – the night he went over to Edd's place for dinner. He snickered at himself at how shy the dork was during dinner due to what they were doing before. Soon, he lightened up and everyone was having a wonderful time. The food was great, his parents were awesome, and everything seemed to be perfect. Well almost. Kevin came back to the situation he was at and frowned at the thought that maybe his precious Eddward really didn't like him as much as he loved the dork. He shook his head. Edd just hasn't realized it yet. He was about to toss the jacket into the wash until he stopped to empty the pockets – out of habit from ruining his old phone once before. There probably wasn't anything in it but…couldn't hurt to look.
Kevin searched into the breast pockets then onto the rest. He was surprised to feel paper and upon opening the folded piece he yelped in joy.
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Kevin parked his motorcycle in his usual spot and dazed off into space when he took his helmet off.
"Dude, what's with the goofy look? You're creeping everyone out."
The redhead looked to see his friend Blake. "Dude, you're the only one looking at me."
"True, but if I don't stop you you'll truly scare everyone." The brunette smirked.
"Tch whatever man." Kevin joked and got off the bike.
"Greetings, boys." Rolf welcomed the two with a big smile and wave.
"Yo Rolf! What's up?!" Blake smacked the tall boy on the back.
"Mmm nothing much. Kevin, may I ask, where did you get that jacket? It suits you very well."
The redhead grinned wide. "It was a gift!"
"Oh really? By who?" Blake crossed his arms with a smirk.
The group started to walk toward the school building.
"None of your business, that's who."
"Ahhh I bet it was a girl! Kevin getting lucky~"
Rolf held up a finger. "Blake, you shouldn't make up things that you don't know."
"Oh I know! Right Kevin?" He went to nudge the other only to find him gone. "Wha!"
"I'll catch you guys later! " The redhead made his way to through the building, knowing Edd's homeroom class he made his way there, with time to spare due to getting to school earlier than usual. He was about to round the corner when someone pulled his arm, causing him almost to fall backward. "What the-" He whipped his head around, "Nazz?"
"Hey there cutie. Where are you going in such a hurry?"
"I gotta go talk to someone." He tried to walk away but the blonde held onto him again.
"Look, Kevin. I just wanted to apologize for the way that I was – have – been behaving. It was silly and immature of me to think that we could go back to the way things were."
"Oh.." he was taken back a bit at how she was taking this. "It's okay Nazz. I'm glad that you are able to be so cool about it."
"Well, sorry to keep you held up. See ya around." She leaned in to kiss him on the cheek when she noticed Kevin move back. "Ah, sorry, force of habit." She waved and walked down the hall in the opposite direction.
With a nod Kevin rounded the corner only to glance over at a clock on the wall. "Dammit! No time to see him and get to my class." No matter. There's always lunch.
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Eddward made his way through the lunch line, looking back to see if he could spot Sam or Sally. It seemed that he made it to lunch before them. He moved along with the slow crawl of the line, making small chit-chat with some of his fellow classmates. Ever since he's been involved with Kevin he also seems to be talking more to other people. Maybe it was because of Kevin's status. Or perhaps, he has gained some sort of new confidence due to Kevin. He would have to thank him properly.
Edd picked only healthy things with the exception of one un-healthy thing – as usual. Today he decided to have a slice of pizza. Of course he would still have to dab down all of the grease that accumulated on it. After he grabbed a stack of napkins he happily made his way to his normal seat until he felt a light graze on his lower back.
"Eeep!" The raven spun around, almost tipping his tray. "K-Kevin! Don't scare me like that.."
The redhead chuckled. "My bad. I just wanted to tell you that you should come sit with me. Well, us."
"Eh?" The raven looked over Kevin's shoulder to see Blake, and the other people Kevin sits with. "Oh, I couldn't – I don't want to be a bother."
"Why else would I ask? I want you to sit with us."
"But, I usually sit with Sam and Sally."
"Then bring them too! A friend of yours is a friend of mine! Don't you feel the same with me?"
Edd stared at the wonderful bright smile in front of him. "O..kay. Just let me stay here until Sam and Sally come so I can inform them."
"I'l l wait with you."
"Wait for what?"
The two boys turned and Edd smile, "Ah Sam, Sally, Kevin has invited us to sit with him and his friends."
"Eh?" Sally scrunched up her face. "Isn't that table only for the coolest of the cool? We don't wanna cramp your style."
Kevin smiled nervously. "Is that how you see me? I promise I'm not like that."
Sally continued to glare and Edd stepped in. "No really, Kevin is a nice person. Come on, it will be fun."
"Well, I guess I can give a chance to the guy who seems to have made our Double D more social."
"Woo! To the cool table!" Sam jogged over with his tray and the others followed.
Naturally, Eddward sat next to Kevin. He felt a little nervous at first but Blake quickly lightened the mood with his sense of humor and Edd became fond of the stories he was telling.
"Kevin, your family sounds very interesting."
The redhead thought a moment. "You should meet them."
"E-Eh?"
"This weekend."
"Wait…"
Kevin smiled wide. "It's a date."
"Kevin! Stop whispering to Eddward over there! I'm about to get to the good part of the story!"
Kevin brushed against Edd's leg under the table and enjoyed the adorable face the raven was giving. "Alright, alright. I'm listening."
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
Eddward clinged to Kevin who was driving his motorcycle taking them to see the redhead's parents. Eddward arrived at the older boy's house earlier that day, only to be taken somewhere else. He was confused, but asked no questions. It seemed Kevin was determined to make things go well – talking about things always go wrong with his family. Eddward reassured him that everything would be fine but Kevin still seemed to be nervous. As they rode down the road he wondered how many members of Kevin's family he was going to meet. He clinged tighter as they turned a corner and was happy that Kevin was wearing the jacket that he bought him. He had to admit that it did look good on the older boy.
As soon as he was away from his daydreaming Edd noticed that he was in a familiar place. As he stood off the bike he realized that this was the huge house that Kevin took him too before. "Kevin…why are we here?"
"Hm? " He grabbed Edd's wrist and led him to the door. "This is where my family lives."
"Wait..but…the cul-de-sac…" Before Eddward could continue Kevin turned the doorknob but to both of their surprise the door swung up.
"Kevin! Kevin is home with his little friend!"
"Ehh…hi..Aunt Clare.."
The woman grabbed the redhead into a hug. "Oh sweetie it's been too long."
Kevin spoke, muffled, from the hug. "How did you know I was even home?"
"Your bike is loud."
"Right.."
Eddward stood at the doorway, awkwardly fidgeting with his sweater.
The woman noticed him and waved him over. "Come! Eddward come! Any friend of our idiot's is a friend of ours~" She grabbed the raven by the arm and yanked him into a hug as well.
"E-Eh!"
Kevin grabbed his dork back. "Aunt Clare! You said you wouldn't be weird. You all promised."
The woman gave a smirk that made Eddward's spine shiver. "Oh Kevin…we are never normal."
As if on cue, more of Kevin's family members entered the room - one by one making their way to Kevin and then Edd to give their greetings. The raven gave nods and handshakes and hugs until he was starting to feel overwhelmed. Kevin's grandmother made her way to the young raven and smiled.
"Dear boy, I hope that you are truly a friend and making our Kevin happy."
"I-I am doing my best m-ma'am!" Edd gulped.
"Mmm. Cause if we were to find out that you were using him…there will be hell to pay."
"Nana! Don't say things you don't mean." Kevin placed his hands on his hips.
She glared. "But I do mean it."
"U-Uhm…excuse me. Why..would I be using him?"
There was a moment of silence.
Aunt Clare chimed in. "Oh, Kevin. You didn't tell him?"
The redhead crossed his arms. "No. Why would I need to?"
"Ahhh my little Kevy really likes him!" She spun around to Eddward and grabbed his hands. "My dear boy, you are very special to him!"
"Aunt Clare!" Kevin quickly filled in the little space that was between her and Edd. "That's enough. You all are going to give him a heart attack." He grabbed the raven's wrist. "Come on Edd!" He dragged the younger boy up the stairs, down the hall, and into his room – closing his door – while on the way their relatives could be heard saying something they thought was funny.
"K-Kevin..your room…is cleaner than I expected it to be."
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Kevin had a smirk on his face as his hands were placed on his hips. He sighed, ran his fingers through his bangs, and plopped down on the futon next to his door. "Ahh..sorry about my family."
Eddward smiled as he walked about the room, observing the multiple different tastes in things that Kevin had. "No, it's no problem at all. I think that they are wonderful." He spotted movies, magazines on motorcycles, and comics. "Your cousins –although very hyper, Aunt, grandma, and uncle are all very nice." He walked past Kevin's bed that wasn't made and had clothes sprawled over it. "Where are your parents, might I ask?" Finally, he reached Kevin and stood in front of him.
"They are on vacation."
"Oh, then, why is your family here while you and your parents live back home – in the cul-de-sac?"
"My family owns this place."
"Huh."
"Im…pretty rich."
"…Really?" Edd cocked his head to the side.
Kevin raised an eyebrow. "That's all you have to say after I gave that big secret?!"
"Well…you aren't rich – your family is."
The other smirked.
"And, it doesn't really matter to me. Besides, I can't really picture you rich. It doesn't suit you."
Kevin kicked off his shoes and raised a foot to start nudging Edd on his thigh.
The younger giggled. "Kevin, what are you doing?"
"Nothing."
"You're acting silly."
"Well, get used to it." Kevin leaned forward
"I believe I already have."
The older boy grabbed Edd by the waste and pulled the raven into his lap, facing each other. "Good. Cause I'm not going nowhere." He kissed Eddward's neck, chin, and cheek. "Now that we've had fun at your place while your parents were home, it's only fair that we do it here too."
Edd widened his eyes. "Fair? What are you saying? Like this a part of a game or something.."
"I'm just saying I'd like to have a happy memory as well~"
The raven stared at him with an eyebrow raised.
\ "I'll take that as a yes." Without hesitation the redhead ran his hands up and under Eddward's shirt as his nipped at the other's ears. "I found out something today.."
"Kevin!" In an instant the bedroom door swung open, "I'm coming in!~"
Both of the boys jumped and Kevin growled. "Aunt Clare! You can't say that as your opening the door!"
Eddward hid his face in Kevin's chest as the redhead and his aunt stared at each other.
The older woman turned to the hallway and closed the door. Her voice could be heard from the room. "Everybody! We are going to the store!"
"Well, that's a nice memory right?"
"Kevin…I hate you…"
"Naw you can't hate me."
Edd faced the other with a glare. "No! I hate you!" Embarrassed, he pouted his lips.
Kevin reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper and Eddward looked away. "You know what this is right? Here." Kevin held the other's hand and put the piece of paper in his palm. "Read for me what it says."
"W..Why..You already know what it says…"
"Yeah but I want to hear you say it."
With a deep breath Edd unfolded the paper and opened his mouth but then crumpled it up and tossed it on the side of them. "I like you okay? I like you Kevin!"
"Edd, I never knew you could be so slow..to be just now figuring this out." He placed his hand on Edd's cheek.
"Shut..up…"
"Cute..so cute…Shall we make a memory while they're gone?"
Eddward gave a glare.
"It's better than if they were here right?"
Another glare.
"I'll take that as a yes." Kevin swiftly took off the other's shirt and licked all over the younger boy's chest.
"Ngh.."
The redhead took off his jacket and shirt before placing them both on the futon next to them. "Sorry, Edd, but I'll have to be quicker than normal. I can't hold back anymore."
Before the raven could say anything he was lifted some and pushed forward closer to Kevin so the older boy could pull down his remaining clothes.
Kevin licked up and along Eddward's neck and pinched the nipples in front of him. Edd squirmed around and shut his eyes tightly. It seemed different for the raven for some reason. Maybe it was because he had admitted and accepted that he liked Kevin. Did that make everything seem even more desirable and wonderful? Eddward started to see what Kevin meant when he said he couldn't wait. Edd grinded his bare body and hips against Kevin. "Please.."
Kevin smirked and quickly undid his pants with one hand while the other was placed tightly on Edd's waist. "Nn I see someone needs it as much as I do.." The older boy moved his hand to behind the raven and Edd gasped suddenly at the digit inside him. Kevin took his free hand and brushed black hair away from his dork's face and kissed him with force as he sped up his finger.
Edd arched his back slightly and moved his shaky hands to Kevin's exposed member and that made the older boy jumped some and smile. "Ah..Edd.." He smiled and bit down on the slender neck in front of him as he lined himself up with his love and Edd slowly lowered himself. Kevin took some time before he started to pound himself into his lover that made Edd moan out loud. The younger boy shut his eyes as his vision began to fail him from the pleasure. For some reason everything seemed to be intensified five times more and he wasn't going to last much longer – and neither was Kevin.
The redhead gripped Edd's hips tight as he grunted his love's name before releasing. Edd gasped at the feeling and soon after he released as well. Kevin kept his grip on those hips as he kissed Eddward's neck. "How fun; we just had a successful quickie."
Edd lightly hit Kevin on the chest. "Don't say such embarrassing things!"
As the boys cleaned themselves up and got ready, they could hear the front door slam as Clare spoke loudly for them to hear that the family was back.
Kevin, now fully clothed, walked behind Edd and hugged him. "Now that you've met my crazy ass family you'll have no problem meeting my parents."
Edd smiled. "When do they get back?"
"In two days. You can swing by this weekend..if you want."
"Of course I will! The closer I get to the family the closer I can get to the money."
Kevin playfully punched Edd's arm. "Shut up." He laughed.
Eddward turned around and placed his hands on his love's face to kiss him.
There was a loud knock on the door and both boys jumped.
"Booyys~ make yourselves decent and get down here and help with dinner!"
"Your Aunt is very forward."
"Yeah..." Kevin straightened Eddward's hat. "Well, ready to go down?"
"Yes!"
"Now that everyone assumes that we did something?"
"W-What I forgot! N-No!"
Kevin grabbed Edd's arm and dragged him out of his room. "Come on, it'll be fine." He grinned and dragged his unwilling boyfriend away.
