Chapter ten:
I walked into the room and saw Rachel on the bed. And she was cradling her stomach. Once I got over my shell- shock of seeing her. I then started to worry. "Rachel? What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in New York?" I asked. "I never went to New York. Actually I never left Lima. Finn what are you doing here?" Rachel asked me.
"Okay you never left Lima. But then why did you leave McKinley?" I asked. "Finn that is a very long story. That I promise you will not like. And before I tell you that there is something that I need to tell you. It is part of the reason that I left McKinley. I've wanted to tell you so bad. In fact it's what I was going to tell you the day that I left." Rachel said. "Okay Rach what do you have to tell me?" I asked getting nervous. Because somewhere deep inside me I knew this news would change my life.
"Finn, baby I'm pregnant. We're actually here for a doctor's appointment." Rachel said. "You're serious?" I asked. "Dead serious. You can tell Noah they can come in." Rachel said. I walked towards the door and opened it. "Dude you guys can come in now." I said to everyone outside the room. I walked back in and was followed by Puck, Mercedes, Kurt, Blaine and the doctor.
"Okay now that we're all here let's get down to business. I am doctor Corda." Doctor Corda said. "Nice to meet you I'm Rachel and this is Finn." Rachel said taking my hand into her's. "So who is everyone else here. " Well we have Kurt, Blaine, Mercedes and Puck. Puck and Mercedes are the godparents. Kurt is Finn's stepbrother and my best friend and Blaine is his boyfriend." Rachel said explaining everyone to the doctor. "Okay now let's get this underway. Rachel how far along are you?" Doctor Corda asked.
"I'm about 3 months almost." Rachel answered and the doctor wrote something on the clipboard she was carrying. "Okay now we need everyone but daddy to leave the room." Doctor Corda said. "Why?" Puck asked. "Puck they're going to check on the baby. I don't think you want to see that much of Rachel." Blaine said as they were exiting the room. "Actually I just thought you wanted the first ultrasound to be the two of you." The doctor said smiling.
"Oh thank you doctor ." Finn said. "Rachel please lift your shirt over your stomach." Doctor Corda instructed. She did as instructed. The machine was brought over. "This might be a little cold." Doctor Corda said as she put some gel on Rachel's protruding belly. She put some type of instrument on her belly and moved it around in the gel.
"Oh congratulations it looks like it's going to be twins." Doctor Corda said after a few minutes. I don't know what happened after that. The next thing I remember is a fully dressed Rachel and the rest of our friends getting me to wake up. "Rach, what happened?" I asked. "Well Finny you fainted when the doctor told us it was twins." She said holding the picture up to show me. "That's what I thought. I guess I was just shocked." I said. Starting to get up. "Dude I think that is the understatement of the century. But let's get out of here and go get something to eat. We all need to talk." Puck said helping me to my feet. I took his hand. "Yeah, Puck your right." I said.
A little bit later:
"So tell me why we couldn't go to breadstix?" I asked. "Because if Quinn saw us not only would she be in danger but the twins as well." Kurt said. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "Finn that is what I was talking about earlier. Quinn is the reason that I left McKinley. The day that I was going to tell you that I was pregnant Quinn threatened me. She said that if I told you that I was pregnant she would tell you that I cheated on you with Puck. I never did by the way. I see him as a brother. But she knew you would believe it somehow." I said nearly breaking down in tears again. "Why would she do this?" I asked. "Finn. She wants you. She thinks that getting Rachel out of the way, that you will go back to her." Kurt said. "But anyone who is close to you knows that would never happen. So we just need to come up with a plan." Blaine said. "One that will expose how she really is. And we need to do it quickly." Kurt said. "Especially with the twins being born in 6 months. We don't want you missing out on them." Puck said.
"I got it. But it will require some acting on your part Finn. Actually on all our part." Mercedes said. "Okay then what's the plan?" I asked. "You act like you fell in love with Quinn ask her to marry you and Rachel breaks it up. And we expose her." Mercedes said. "It's perfect." Rachel and I say together.
Rachel's t house later on :
"Rachel, we'll figure this out. I promise you that this will all be behind us soon. And the four of us will be a family." I said rubbing Rachel's baby bump. "I look forward to that Finn." Rachel said. I kissed her with a smile on my face.
