10. Noble's Final Stand

Phew… Man… I'm beat… Sorry if this story took so long. There were a few complications for a while. One of the reasons is that I had no clue where to go with this chapter. It was very difficult on how to handle it and just needed to wing it. Guess what I wrote went a little overboard. But hey, I do try my best and there are times that I had a bit of writer's block. Still, it feels completely over the top, as I tend to explode the action scenes a little too much. But at least I'm done with this final action chapter and might calm down on the last chapter. I'll do that after the next chapter, or after the next chapter of the fourth episode of my third season of Transformers Prime. But we'll see.

As for the last chapter, still fair as the others. Just one review and 77 hits. At least when I'm done with this and the last chapter, I'm done with it all together. After all, this was a side story to my version of season 3. Not like it was ever going to get popular. Just a little experimental. Besides, I got other stories to work with and I'm nearing the end of Five Nights at Miku's. We'll see what happens.

On this exciting chapter of TFP: Invasion, Noble made it to the treatment facility to warn Lasky of the coming Decepticon threat. However, it came too late as the Cons made their arrival to handle what's left to the military and civilians. With all the odds stacked against them, will the remaining forces hold them back while getting the surviving civilians to safety underground? This is one chapter you can't miss out on.

Chapter Notes

Now in this chapter, there is going to be the part that someone in Noble is going to die. I'm not going to explain whom, as it would be a surprise. However, people that read the second episode of my version of Transformers Prime season three already knew what's going to happen. Still, I always wanted to do this and want to show how this character dies. Even thought about adding a line from the first Transformers movie. Trust me when I say, this is really fitting to this final fight scene. I will also add a little scene that came straight from the second episode of my version of TFP season 3. It is at the start of that episode and really shows the connection in-between fights. For those of you that read my stories, you'll know what I mean. For those of you that didn't, well, strap on and be prepared for the unexpected.

Chapter Ten: Noble's Final Stand

Not far from the attack, there's a huge building that has tanks, buildings, and pipes all around it. But there were military personnel and defensive weapons and tanks all on stand by. This place is the sewer treatment facility as the remaining military was setting up their last resort to get the remaining civilians to safety. At the front, rows of convoys were moving through the checkpoint as they came straight from the hospital. At the front of the building, Captain Lasky and Commander Palmer were standing in front of the Zeta Leader as he explained of what happened.

Zeta Leader: "Then just as we thought everything is under control... Boom! The Cyclops came out of the blue and tried to attack us. We hold it off as much as we could, but it was too powerful for us. It was then that Carter and his Noble squad decided to distract it and lure it away from us while we continue with the evacuation. So far, the plan worked and the Cons were out of our hair, though there were those Cons that were on patrol. But we managed to take them out and kept moving to here."

The two listened to him and looked at each other, giving it some though. It was then that Palmer looked back to Patton and asked him something else.

Commander Palmer: "And what about Noble? Do you know what happened to them?"

The leader shrugged his shoulders and answered back.

Zeta Leader: "No clue. They left as the Cyclops pursued them. Even if they survived the Con's wrath, there's no telling where they are. Especially since all comms went out with the exception of the short wave radio."

There was a bit of silence as the two thought it would be impossible in contacting the team. Lasky however let it all slide as he turned to the Zeta leader for a congratulation.

Captain Lasky: "Well, despite what had happened, at least we're relieved that you and your team made it here safely, especially the injured and medical staff that remained in there. You did a good job. Now have you and your men get into the building. We're getting the elevators ready to descend into the sewer system."

The Zeta leader nodded and decided to get into the place.

Zeta Leader: "Thank you captain."

He soon left the two as he joined the rest of Zeta team and the injured to get into the building. As he left, Palmer turned to Lasky and was relieved by all of this.

Commander Palmer: "Got to say, Noble continues to pull this off with ease. Amazing how long they have survived."

The captain nodded and was in agreement with her.

Captain Lasky: "Noble are very resilient when it comes to the battlefield. They know how to get by. Too bad we can't communicate with them to see if they're fine."

Commander Palmer: "Well with all communications out, we can't get in touch with them other then short wave radios. Guess we now have to wait and see if they could make it here in time."

What the two didn't know is that they are far closer then they think.

Down in the storm drain, two vehicles drove down it to reach the sewer treatment facility. Those two cars are Vince's custom muscle car and Sofia's Ford Heavy Duty, where Noble is in those said vehicles. As they were driving, Carter saw the building getting closer and told Vince about it.

Carter: "There. We are getting close to our objective. I hope you know now to get there without causing too much attention."

Vince turned to him and was a little confused.

Vince: "What do you mean by that?"

That's when Thorne looked to him and answered back.

Thorne: "He means getting to the base without them thinking you're a Decepticon."

Vince looked back through his dashboard mirror and was a little offended by that.

Vince: "Oh please… Like my muscle car screams alien. Don't worry, we'll get to your military friends, even if it means crashing the party."

Paduk then turned to him and was a little worried about that statement.

Paduk: "And exactly how are you going to do that?"

That is when Vince looked to the ramp closest to the facility and had a wicked smile on his face.

Vince: "Something like… THIS!"

He then crank the shaft to 4th gear and pressed on the gas pedal extremely hard, causing the car to bolt over a hundred and breaking the speedometer. Half the group was caught by surprise as they held on as much as they could.

Vince: "Hang on!"

The muscle car sped on ahead while the rest of the team looked on in the pick up truck with shocked looks on their faces.

Emile: "Whoa! Did you see that? Has he gone nuts?!"

Sofia saw this as well and decided to pull the same thing.

Sofia: "Actually, he's not. It's more like Vince wants to make a grand entrance. I think we should do the same as well."

The scout turned to her and didn't like her plan.

Emile: "Oh no… No way… You are not going to pull something like that off! Are you?"

Sofia's response was a shifting in her crank gear and a smirk of her own.

Sofia: "Watch me…"

By pressing on the gas pedal, the S.W.A.T. officer sped up as well to follow the muscle car. Emile though gripped the side of the seat tightly while Barrick and Carmine felt that and hold onto the sides of the truck's carrier.

Anthony Carmine: "Whoa! The hell?! Sofia, what are you doing?! Killing us?!"

Barrick looked ahead and realized what she was planning.

Barrick: "Actually, she's trying to catch up to the rest of the team. In the most extreme way!"

The two vehicles reached the end and drove up the ramp like side to reach the facility. By the time they reached the end, they immediately jump off it and flew up the air as everyone held on for dear life. At the same time, both Lasky and Palmer heard that and looked up to see two cars flying in the air and approaching them. The rest of the military saw this as well and armed their weapons incase they were Decepticons. As they were ready, the two cars landed hard on their tires and nearly lost control before spinning a 360 in front of the two. Everyone stood there and waited to see what happens next. That is when the doors started to open and Noble slowly got out of there and little dazed and confused. Palmer saw them and gestured the men to lower their weapons.

Commander Palmer: "Hold you fire! They're one of ours!"

As the group got out of their said vehicles, Thorne turned to Vince taking a breather and told him what he just did.

Thorne: "You know, under all honesty, that was the most stupidest thing you have ever done!"

Vince looked up to him and told him it was the best option.

Vince: "At least that's better then whatever plan you guys have. Or would you rather have the military shooting at you in the air, even if they think our rides are those Cons?"

Carter then turned to the bully and was in agreement with the rookie.

Carter: "Thorne does have a point, Vince. The next time you want to pull something like that, ask us first before going on ahead with it. Last thing I want is to nearly die in an accident."

As soon as he said that, he heard the voice of a certain captain.

Captain Lasky: "Noble Leader Carter?"

The leader looked up to see the captain and immediately gave a salute to him.

Carter: "Captain Thomas Lasky, Noble Team reporting for duty, sir!"

The captain looked to the team that was recovering for a bit and was a little silent over this.

Captain Lasky: "So I noticed. Got to say though, that's one crazy entrance you've made. However, a little warning next time you pull that off. Last thing we want is to shoot you down like you're a Con in vehicle mode."

Noble Leader nodded and understood what he meant.

Carter: "Of course, sir. I'll make a mental note of that."

The captain then turned to see Vince and pointed to him.

Captain Lasky: "Who's that?"

Carter looked to the bully and explains some things.

Carter: "That's Vince, sir. One of the students form Jasper Memorial. We found him in the bank when he was separated from his family during the start of the invasion. He was a big help for us as he got us in and around the town. If it hadn't been for him, we wouldn't survive it all."

Lasky looked to the boy checking his muscle car to see if its in one piece. He soon turned to the Noble Leader and asked him something else.

Captain Lasky: "And what about the family? Did they made it out in time?"

Carter turned his head away and was a little depressed over that one. Turning back to him, he explained to him about that situation.

Carter: "Sadly, no. Vince's family were in EVAC Zone 13 during the alien invasion, the very location Commander Palmer sent us to. When we got there, it was too late. The mall was destroyed and his family perished. We all knew how it happened."

The captain turned his head away and remembered of what happened to that mall. Looking back to the captain, he nodded and decided to bring the kid in.

Captain Lasky: "Well, thanks for looking after him. I could only imagine what he's been going through."

Carter turned to Vince and could feel the pain he's going through.

Carter: "You have no idea…"

The captain then turned to the bully and asked him to come.

Captain Lasky: "You there! Vince, was it? Can you come here for a second?"

Vince turned to the captain and gestured if he's talking to him. With a quick nod from Lasky, Vince sighed and left his muscle car, wondering what he wants from him. Approaching him, the captain approached him and introduced himself to the bully.

Captain Lasky: "I am Captain Lasky. Carter has told me that you assisted them in their missions throughout Jasper. I appreciate your assistance with Noble. I'm sorry that you've lost your entire family during the attack. I know how much it hurts you."

Vince turned his head away and was silent by the last thing he just said.

Vince: "It's… It's all right. At least I know they have gone to a better place."

Lasky gave a bit of a smile and decided to take him to safety.

Captain Lasky: "At least you have the courage to help those in need. But now your safe. Commander Palmer, can you escort the boy to the facility. We're about ready to head underground."

Palmer nodded as she approached him and reached her hand out.

Commander Palmer: "Come on, kiddo. Let's get into the facility. We're getting ready to leave."

Vince looked to the commander with her hand holding out and was a little nervous over this. A part of him wants to stay with Noble to help out, but another part of him wanted to get to safety as quickly as possible. He soon turned to Carter with advice as he wants to know what the Noble Leader has to say. He turned to the bully and decided to let him go.

Carter: "Go with Palmer, Vince. You did your part and we appreciate all the help you've done for us. But now it's time for you head to the other civilians to safety."

Vince heard that and nodded, understanding that he's not fully equipped for battle. Turning to him, he gave a salute and said.

Vince: "It's an honor serving you, sir."

Carter gave a warm smile and was pleased to have him by his side for a while.

Carter: "The honor is mine. Now get going."

Soon enough, Vince turned to the commander and took her hand. They soon left the captain and Noble as they headed straight to the treatment facility. As soon as they left, Lasky turned to Carter and asked him something.

Captain Lasky: "So what are you doing here, Carter. Why the sudden rush to the facility. We thought that you and your team were Cons and we were about to shoot you out of the sky."

The Noble leader turned to him and gave him a serious warning.

Carter: "That's the situation, captain. We came because we have to warn you."

Lasky raised an eyebrow and wondered about that.

Captain Lasky: "A warning? What warning?"

That's when Katherine approached him and deliver the warning.

Katherine: "On our way to the treatment facility, we've discovered a huge armada of Decepticons heading to the facility. A huge one at that. Armed to the teeth and ready to strike."

Lasky heard this and was shocked by this news.

Captain Lasky: "Are you sure about that?"

Carter then approached him and gave him a clear explanation.

Carter: "We're certain… I seems as though they are ordered to hunt down the remaining occupants in this town and wiping them out. And giving that you have the rest of the town in one building, then there's no doubt that they will see this a their primary target. We need to get everyone underground as quickly as possible. If we don't, then no one will survive the future assault."

Lasky listened to this and didn't like those odds. With the news of the Decepticons coming to their position, he knows that it will be a matter of time before they will come. But when is the question. That's when he turned to Carter and asked him that question.

Captain Lasky: "How long till the Cons will arrive?"

Carter was about to say it until they heard a stray blaster shot coming from close by, the then hit a neaby tanker and exploded in a ball of flames. Pretty much everyone saw this and were in awe by the whole show. However, one of the spotted something in the distance and warned everyone about it.

"They're coming! They're coming!"

Everyone soon turned to where he was pointing at and saw a group of purple vehicles speeding towards them. Everyone starred them down as Emile started to say something about it.

Emile: "Um… I would go on a limb here and say… No time at all."

The cars then applied the brakes as they neared the area and transformed. When they have fully changed, the Vehicons armed up their blasters and prepared to fire. Quickly, everyone get into cover as they were trying to protect themselves from the barrages. Palmer ducked her head down while shoving Vince to the ground to protect him. With him exposed on the outside, she had to do something to get him to safety. Turning to one of the soldiers, she asked him for a quick favor.

Commander Palmer: "Get this kid into the facility! Warn everyone inside that the Cons are here and get that elevator started!"

The soldier gave an immediate nod as he rushed to Vince's side and escorted him out of the battle. As the attack went on, Carmine and Lasky hid behind the Heavy Duty truck as Lasky could tell things are starting to get grim.

Captain Lasky: "All right, I'll admit. This mission is becoming more choppy then before."

Carmine looked to him and told him that they have to fight back.

Anthony Carmine: "We need to hold them back as quickly as possible! At least for enough time to get the civilians to safety!"

The captain turned to the Noble Leader and nodded completely.

Captain Lasky: "You took the words right out of my mouth Carmine. So here's the plan. We've managed to salvage whatever defenses we have to hold the Cons back, but they are limited. Missile turrets, gatteling guns, tanks that are intact, mortar shells, anything that can be useful against the Cons. I was you and your team to head down to those said weapons and aid us in getting these Cons out of our hair."

Thorne, who was next to them, turned to the captain and was a little unsure about it.

Thorne: "Seriously? That's all you have in your arsenal, captain. Where's the additional support?"

The captain turned to him and gave him a straight enough answer.

Captain Lasky: "Support? You are the support! With all of our resources depleted and no communication to the outside, we are all that's left. You have to hold them off as long as we can while we get the civilians underground. I'll have Johnson and his men assist you in the attack. Now go!"

Carter heard this and decided to follow his orders.

Carter: "You heard him, Noble. We must defend this facility until the civilians are in the clear. Move out!"

The others heard him and moved on ahead to the start gathering what they need. Keeping their heads down, they rushed to Johnson's side as he gave out the orders.

Sergeant Johnson: "Hurry! Get to your positions! Arm up! It's time to teach these metal dicks what happens when they mess with the best!"

The soldiers rushed in and got their positions for battle. As they were preparing for battle, Noble approached the sergeant and asked for assistance.

Carter: "Sergeant Johnson!"

The Sarge turned to him and was surprised by their arrival.

Sergeant Johnson: "Well I'll be damned. Noble Team. Didn't think you all survived all this."

The Noble leader heard him and smiled.

Carter: "Well, we are all survivors after all. We cannot stand around and get killed by these Cons. Lasky sent us to speak to you if you are in need of some help. Anything we can do?"

Johnson looked to him and sighed to himself, knowing that they need all the help they can get.

Sergeant Johnson: "Well, at least you came at the right time. All right, here's the deal. We got some openings with a bunch of groups that needs all the hands they can. The mortar squad needs someone that can blow stuff up at and long distance. We need someone and sniper duty as we have limited riflemen on the roof. We have limited tanks left within our arsenal, but we need one to handle one that's vacant. I need one person in charged of driving, but someone needs to handle the firing. We even have a vacant machine gun turret loaded with armor piercing rounds that can tear a Decepticon to pieces. And finally, there's a jeep that has a built in gauss cannon to pick them out. Other then that, we have all the help we can get."

Hearing all this, the team decided where to be assigned.

Paduk: "I'm with the sniper brigade. Nothing says taking down Cons then a shot in the visor."

Sofia: "I'll handle driving the jeep, but someone needs to work on the gauss cannons."

Thorne turned to her and decided to take up that request.

Thorne: "I'll handle that. Just give me a target and I'll handle the rest."

Carmine then raised his hand and decided to handle another turret.

Anthony Carmine: "I'll handle the turret with the armor piercing rounds. I'll rip those Cons to shred."

Katherine then decided to pick the tank.

Katherine: "I'll be the one that will drive one of the tanks. I'll make some use to that."

Emile then spoke about taking care of the other part.

Emile: "And I'll handle the firing of that tank. I feel like blowing shit up already."

Finally, Barrick decided to pick the most funnest job out there.

Barrick: "Dibs on the mortars."

Hearing their words, Carter smiled and decided let them in on the fun.

Carter: "Alright. Let's get going. Noble! Spread out and aid the military. We must protect this facility, be any means necessary."

With that said, Noble spread out and aided those that are in need. Carter though remained behind as Johnson asked if he could help.

Sergeant Johnson: "You know, perhaps you could be with the team, giving they have their own stuff to handle."

Carmine looked to him and told him that he's all right, loading up his rifle.

Carmine: "My team can handle themselves, sarge. We've all managed to survive this invasion from the start. I'm certain that we will get through this."

Johnson smiled as he readied his rifle.

Sergeant Johnson: "Well, I hope your team knows what they're doing. Cause it will be one hell of a fight."

Carmine: "Yeah, it will be…"

That was when Johnson gave the order to attack.

Sergeant Johnson: "All right, sight seeing is over boys! Open fire!"

They all soon got out of cover and they fired whatever they have in their disposal. The bullets whizzed by quickly and hit the Cons, but the armor protected them completely. The Vehicons felt that and returned fire, wanting to wipe them off as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Paduk approached the roof of the building as a group of snipers were in position to fire back. When he joined them, he asked if he could get in on the fun.

Paduk: "its this a private party, or can any sniper comes in?"

The head sniper turned to him and checked to see if he's ready.

"As long as you are good at a sniper rifle."

The sniper expert smirked and responded about that.

Paduk: "Just a one shot to the eyes and we're good to go."

The sniper leader smirked and let him join them.

"Good… Now get over here! We're about ready to strike."

Paduk nodded as he joined in on the fun. Once he joined them, the leader told them the plan.

"Alright, listen up! The Cons are already on our doorsteps, we must hold them back until the civilians are safe. It's time to take care of them once and for all. Now I know all of you remembered their serious weak spot. When I give my mark, aim your rifles right at the visors and take them out. Once they go blind, then the real fun begins. Stand by."

The snipers got into cover as they waited for the right moment to strike. One of the snipers turned to Paduk and asked him of that.

"So… You snipped a Con in the eyes?"

Paduk turned to him and gave a quick smirk.

Paduk: "You could say that. It's a really entertaining experience."

Back in the main battle, the soldiers were holding the Vehicons back as they kept on attacking as much as they could. The Cons held their ground and fired away with all they have in their disposal. The fighting was intense as the two groups kept their ground. But the Cons were holding still as they thought the bullets wouldn't do anything to them. Big mistake as the sniper leader looked to the Cons that were visible in the opening.

"Too easy… Everybody get ready!"

The men lifted their sniper rifles up and were set for an attack, including Paduk. Once he saw the visors in range, he gave them the order.

"Now! Open fire!"

The snipers got out of cover and fired one shot on each Con. One by one, the bullets hit the Cons visors as they were caught by surprise. Feeling completely blinded, the enemy panicked and shot at every direction, causing them to shoot each other and lying on the floor completely dead. The sniper team looked on at the battle and enjoyed the show as one of them smiled.

"You're right. Best show out there."

Unfortunately, the show was completely short lived as a bunch of silver jets came from the air and headed to the facility. Those gets transformed and landed on the ground, revealing themselves to be a group of Airadicons. They soon picked up where the last group left off and armed their blasters, firing at the humans. But they made the same mistake as the last ones as the sniper leader saw the opening.

"Fire!"

They soon kept on firing as more bullets hit their optics and blinded them, freaking them out and shooting around till they hit each other. Paduk watched and smirked to himself from this accomplishment.

Paduk: "Hmph… This never gets old."

At first, the sniper unit was relieved that things were going their military's way. However, that was short lived as a bunch of tanks were coming this time and have their sights on the building. Once they made a complete stop, the transformed into a group of Tankicons, ready to fire back. The Sniper leader saw that and told everyone to do the same.

"Keep on firing! Don't hold back!"

They started to fire again to get their shots at the Tankicons. But the Cons simply used their shields to protect them from the bullets. The sniper leader saw this and realized that it was bad.

"Not good…"

The cannons on them charged up and started to fire at the building. The leader saw this and warned everyone about it.

"Everyone, take cover!"

All the snipers heard that and made a run for it, including Paduk. The shells flew around them as one of them hit the building close to them, blowing up on impact. They all flew from the blast and landed on the ground with pure dizziness.

In the building, the civilians in the building felt that and ducked their heads down, as debris and dust rained down on them. Vince was with the students and Principle Madden as they got his head down along with others as everyone was scared of the attack. Madden tried to calm the students down as much as he could.

Principle Madden: "Everyone calm down! Do not panic! Everything will be over when we're safe."

Still, the students and faculty were on edge as they were scared of what is happening on the outside. Vince looked to this and told him that it was impossible.

Vince: "You can try all you want, Madden, they won't listen."

Madden looked to Vince and nodded, understanding that it would be difficult to calm the masses. He soon looked up to the soldier and asked in a demanding tone.

Principle Madden: "Hey! What's taking too long? We need to get out of here as soon as possible!"

One of the soldiers looked to him and told him that they're all right on it.

"We're working on it! There's too many people here and the elevator can hold up to a hundred! Just give us a few more minutes."

The principle heard this and didn't like the sound of it.

Principle Madden: "We'll be dead in a few minutes! Hurry up, would ya?!"

Outside the battle, the sniper team got up and saw the cause of the damage. The sniper leader witnessed it and warned Johnson about it through the comms.

"Sergeant Johnson! Those Tankicons got there shields up and is firing at the building. We need some heavy firepower, ASAP!"

Johnson heard it from the other line and told him that it will be all right.

Sergeant Johnson: "Don't worry; soldier. We got this one covered."

He then switched to another comm. and contacted another team.

Sergeant Johnson: "Tank squadron! The heavy Decepticons have arrived. Prepare for an attack."

Not far from him, a small group of tanks were in position, at the ready to attack. In one of the tanks, the tank leader heard that and intervened.

"Understood. We're on the move."

He soon contacted the team and let them know that it's time to go.

"All right boys, it's time to move out!"

In one of the tanks, Katherine was at the wheel while Emile was in charge of the cannon.

Katherine: "We're all ready on this end. Awaiting orders."

Emile looked to the weapons he has in his disposal and was ready to strike.

Emile: "This is too good. I can do a lot of damage with these beauties."

The Intel officer looked to him and told him to not overboard on the whole thing.

Katherine: "Emile, don't get too cocky. We need to focus on attacking Cons, not blowing stuff up. Get your head in the game."

Emile shrugged it off, letting her know that they have everything under control.

Emile: "Don't get too worked up Kat. I got this covered."

They heard the tank leader giving out the orders.

"Forward everyone! Time to show those Cons our might."

Soon enough, the tanks moved forward and headed straight to the battle. The Tankicons continued to fired their shots as they attacked the building with what they have. Even though they missed, they did decrease the opposition. In one area, there were towers set up in a row with heavy turrets that fire armor piercing rounds. In one of the towers, Carmine was shooting up a storm as he tries to hold him back as much as he could. Still, the shield was difficult to get through with. Still, he didn't give up as he continued to shoot more and more.

Anthony Carmine: "Sheesh, they don't give up! We hit them with everything we got and it wouldn't do the trick.

One of the soldiers heard him and told him to keep doing what he's doing.

"Just fire as much as you can! Back up will be coming in any moment."

Carmine sighed and continued to fire as much as he could.

Anthony Carmine: "I just hope it's soon. They seem desperate in eliminating us!"

They continued fire as one of the Tankicons fired a round at them as it hit one of the towers, causing it to explode and break apart, killing the soldier in that one. Carmine saw this and decided to correct himself.

Anthony Carmine: "I stand corrected… They are really desperate!"

As the soldiers held their own, the military tanks came charging in and was prepared to fire back. When they saw the Cons in their sights, the leader of the group gave them a stiff warning.

"There they are! Looks like they have our boys cornered completely. We have to assist them! All tanks, prepare for battle and take aim!"

The soldiers heard that and positioned their cannons to fire while the tracks continued to move forward. As they were moving, Katherine got in range while Emile took aim.

Katherine: "Cannon's in range. You're ready Emile?"

The scout smirked underneath helmet and was eager to fight.

Emile: "Oh, you know I've been waiting to do this for a long time."

As soon as they were ready, the tank leader gave out the order.

"All units, open fire!"

Almost immediately, the tanks fired away at the enemy as they shells hit the shields and yet didn't leave a scratch. That's when the leader moved on to the next plan.

"Flank them! They are exposed on the sides."

The tanks soon split up to groups of four as they went around the Tankicons and moved their cannons to the sides. As soon as they got into position, they soon fire right at them as the shells hit them on the sides. The Cons were caught by surprise as the shells blew their legs and caused them to stumble to the ground. With them down, the tanks used their mini missiles on the sides and fire away, hitting them in the head and body and tearing them apart. With them dead, the leader looked on and was pleased with the plan.

"Excellent team! Those bastards didn't see us coming one bit."

Suddenly, one of the soldiers noticed something coming from the distance and warned everyone.

"Heads up everyone! We got more coming our way"

The captain heard that and checked to see what's heading towards them. That was when he spotted a group of tankers heading straight for them. Seeing the Decepticon insignias on their grills, he told everyone to fallback.

"Back up! Back up! We got some heavy hitters coming our way!"

Quickly, the tanks headed to reverse as Katherine told Emile to sit tight.

Katherine: "Hold on!"

As soon as they backed away, the trucks in front of them made a complete stop and transformed into Combaticons, ready to attack the humans any way possible. Charging up their prods on their backs, they pounded to the ground to create an explosive shot right at them. The tanks were shaken a little bit, but they weren't down yet. Still, the Combaticons couldn't give up as they charge their prods again and created a much stronger blast. That said blast caused one of the tanks to tip over and was down with its treads sticking up. Emile saw this through the tank's scope and could tell that everyone is in danger.

Emile: "Shit! This can't be good. Katherine, keep backing up while I fire. We'll hold them back as much as we could!"

Katherine heard that and nodded in agreement.

Katherine: "Got it!"

She kept on backing away as Emile took aim.

Emile: "All right you no good Cons. Get a taste of this!"

He soon fired the cannon and the shell hit the first one in front of them, hitting right as the spark chamber and killed it on impact. The others soldiers in the tanks saw him do that and decided to join him on the fun. Aiming their cannons to the Combaticons, the fired their rounds and destroyed the ones in the front. But there were still more headings straight towards them as they knew it would be a fruitless endeavor. The tank captain contacted Johnson and warned him of the problem they now have.

"Sergeant Johnson! Decepticons are still on the move. We can't hold them for so long. We need more firepower!"

The sarge heard that and knew this was bad.

Sergeant Johnson: "Just hang on for a little longer. I got backup on the way."

He then contacted another brigade that was on standby to ask for assistance.

Sergeant Johnson: "Mortar squad! This is Johnson! The tank brigade is getting overwhelmed and is in need of an assist!"

Not far from Johnson or the tanks, a huge group of soldiers were all lined up in a row with mortal in front of them. They were in a kneeling position as they were waiting for a chance to strike. When the person in charge got the call, he nodded and decided to help.

"Copy that. Were at the ready."

The leader soon turned to his mortar team and amped them up for a battle.

"All right boys, listen up! We got more Cons coming, so we have to set the table for them. Anyone up for a little carpet bombing?"

The soldiers turned to their leader and gave him a loud, "Yes sir!" Barrick on the other hand smirked very wickedly and was eager to do some serious destruction.

Barrick: "Oh yeah… You know I wanted to do this for some time."

Once the leader saw them at the ready, he decided to give out the order.

"All right then… Load up the shells! It's time to teach these Assholes not to mess with the best of the best!"

The soldiers and Barrick got to loading their cannons with a large number of shells that was behind them. As they were loading up, the tanks continued to back away as the Combaticons were charging towards them. They kept on firing at the enemy as they were hit right in the spark chambers and falling to the ground. Yet that didn't last as more of them kept charging in. And speaking of charging, the Con charged their prods again and slammed the ground to take the human tanks down. By the time the wave hit them, another tank got tipped over and rested on the side. Emile witnessed it through his scope and didn't like these odds.

Emile: "Shit! We got another one down! Where is the backup when you need it the most?"

Katherine noticed more of them coming and told him to remain calm.

Katherine: "Just hold on for a little while longer. I'm certain they already have a plan in stopping them."

Emile heard that and didn't like what she just said.

Emile: "Wait for a little while longer? Try telling that to the Decepticons!"

As the tanks were backing away, the mortar leader looked to the threat through the binoculars and was ready to attack.

"That Cons are in range! Set your mortars to 15,000 meters and wait for my command."

The soldiers did that as they crank the range to that many meters. Once everything is in place, the leader looked on and waited for the chance to fire.

"Wait for it… Wait for it…"

The Combaticons were getting closer as the group waited anxiously to fire their mortars. By the time they were at the right spot, the leader smirked and gave them an order.

"Now! Open fire!"

As soon as he said that, the soldier let go of the triggers and the shells fired out of the cannons and flew high in the air. The tanks backed far away as they could as they needed to keep their distance from the mortar fire as the Combaticons kept charging to strike them hard. But as they were rushing to them, the stopped to see the shells flying high in the air oblivious of what they would do to them. And since they don't have much of a simple processor, they didn't know what they are until it was too late. The shells soon hit them and laid them to waste as the others flee for their lives. The leader saw them and leaving and decided to stop them.

"We got a few more on the move! Target range, 20,000 to 25. Load them up!"

The soldiers and Barrick loaded up some new fresher shells while half cranked their targeting to 20,000 while the other half cranked to 25,000. When the leader saw them leaving, he told everyone to fire back.

"Fire!"

They soon fired their mortars at them as the shells flew high. Those said shells landed to the remaining Combaticons and destroyed them completely. With them out of the way, they thought they were in the clear as the leader was pleased with the results.

"Nice going everyone! Way to teach those Cons what happens when they cross our path."

Johnson though knew that it wasn't far from over as he warned the others of more oppositions coming towards them.

Sergeant Johnson: "Don't celebrate yet, men. We got more incoming! Eyes sharp and fingers on the triggers! This is going to be an aggressive battle!"

The men were on standby as they waited for the next attack to happen. Suddenly, they encountered what looked like huge metal beetles flying towards them. The moment they approached their position, the bugs transformed and landed in front of the military with loud shrieks and vicious mandibles. Those said bugs were Insecticons as they were ready to devour them. The demolition expert looked to this and was getting annoyed by them.

Barrick: "Great… More bugs… Really, REALLY, starting to hate them?"

The mortar leader though looked to them and decided to take them down.

"Looks like they're pulling all the stops boys! Let's exterminate them! Load up and target to 30,000 meters!"

The soldiers did that as they load and set the range. As they did that, the Insecticons armed their blasters and prepared to fire right at humans. The soldiers got into cover and returned fire while a few of them were hit and killed instantly. Carter looked to this next wave and didn't like the odds.

Carter: "There's just no end to these assholes! They are really that determined!"

Johnson looked to them as well and decided that playtime is officially over.

Sergeant Johnson: "Determined? More like desperate. Luckily we are just as desperate as them! Ready whenever you are!"

The mortar leader nodded on Johnson's command and gave his men then order.

"You heard the Sarge boys! Let's exterminate these bugs!"

The soldiers and Barrick got started with the attack and fired their mortars right at the Cons. The shells flew out the cannons and up in the air before coming back down right to the Insecticons. These said Cons were bombarded by those shells, but only half of them were destroyed. The other half transformed and flew away from the attack. The mortar leader saw this and didn't like the odds.

"Damn it! We missed some!"

As they flew through the air, they headed towards the facility and fired with their blaster horns. Everyone scattered as the blaster shots hit the ground around them. Some of the shots hit the building and had holes through the ceiling. The civilians in the building covered their heads as the blaster shots rained around them. Vince held his head down as he was caught by surprise by that unexpected attack. Thankfully, no one got hurt, just a few injured. Yet it was a close one as they were on edge of the attack outside the area. Back outside, everyone saw the bugs attacking and knew things have gotten much more dire. Carter watched on and warned Johnson of the situation.

Carter: "They are attacking the facility! If this keeps up, we won't have any civilians to protect, let alone a way out of this insanity!"

The Sarge saw this and decided to move on to the next phase.

Sergeant Johnson: "Not to worry, Carter. I got this one covered."

He then contacted the last unit that's around the facility and gave the orders.

Sergeant Johnson: "Trucks unit, do you read? This is the Sarge. We got a group of Insecticons flying around the facility shooting it up like there's no tomorrow. They must be strictly dealt with as soon as possible."

Not far from the facility, a group of combat jeeps were lined up in a row loaded with rocket turrets and gauss cannons, all on standby for a serious fight. One of the drivers heard the sarge and gave a quick nod in response.

"Affirmative, Sarge. We're all gassed up and ready to charge ahead to take them all out. Stand by."

He soon turned off the comm. and looked to his comrades to give them commands.

"All right men, you heard the sergeant! We got cons shooting up the place in the air! It's time we swat them out of the sky! Let's rev them up and gas them out!"

All the soldiers listened to him and groaned for a little bit. The driver looked to them and could tell that didn't like that war cry.

"What? Too cheesy? But I worked on that for hours."

In one of the jeeps, Sofia was at the wheel while Thorne was operating the gauss cannon. Thorn listened to that and groaned in agony.

Thorne: "Good grief… Of all the team we choose, we get stuck with a jeep squad with a driver with the worse catch phrases ever… If I want to pick between the Cons and this guy, I would rather get blasted to nothingness. End of story."

Sofia heard this and could tell that he's not in a good mood.

Sofia: "Hey! Don't even think of such things. We still have to deal with the Cons and these bugs are becoming a real annoyance. We have to get rid of them fast before those bugs can rip through the building."

Thorne groaned to himself as he knew what that meant.

Thorne: "Right… Nothing says life and death situation then terrible battle cries."

Once that was out of his system, the main driver gave the order.

"All right boys! Let's charge in and swat those bugs in the air!"

The jeeps revved their engines as they drove ahead and jump down the hill. They all went in a row formation as the jeep leader told them the plan.

"Listen up! We split up into pairs! One group will take the left while the other group will take right. Keep your sights up on the incoming threat and shoot them down! We can't let them demolish the facility!"

As soon as that was said, the jeeps split up into two groups and went around the building. As they were split apart, the people in the back got their cannons and rocket turrets set up and aimed it right at the bugs. As they were split up, Thorne looked to the bugs flying about and was worried about it all.

Thorne: "Man… Those are a lot of bugs in the air. You think that this is going to work?"

Sofia looked to this mess as well and decided to let it run.

Sofia: "We might as well go with it. After all, we don't have much of resources anymore."

She soon could hear the leader on the radio as he told everyone to get ready.

"Everyone in position? Then get ready to fire on my mark!"

Hearing this, Sofia looked back to the rookie to tell him to be prepared.

Sofia: "Better load that gauss up Thorne. It's going to be a rough fight."

The rookie nodded and set the cannon up for battle. As soon as everyone was set, the leader gave the immediate command.

"Mark!"

The group then aimed their weapons at them as rockets and gauss monition was flying through the air. Some of them hit the Insecticons as a few of them were blown to bits and fall to the ground in pieces. The rest saw their comrades down and looked down to see the jeeps driving below them. Shrieking to them, they flew down and focused their fire on the ground forces. The rookie saw this and was now getting extremely scared.

Thorne: "Um… I think that got their attention."

Sofia peeked through the top and saw a few of them heading towards them. Seeing this, she decided to make a drive around.

Sofia: "Noted… Let's keep them on us and not at the building. I'll drive, you shoot!"

Hitting the gas pedal, she drove away as the Insecitcons went after them along with the other jeeps. Thorne saw them going after him and readied his cannon to fire. Taking aim, he took a deep breather and knew it won't be fun.

Thorne: "Really hate this job."

Pulling the trigger, he fired round after round at them as the three Cons flew around to avoid the shots. The other jeeps were driving around, trying to loose the Insecticons as the gunners fired rockets and gauss beams at the bugs. Few of them were hit as they were pierced through the spark chambers or heads, plummeting to the ground. The Cons then retaliated as they fired their blasters on their horns. Few of the shots hit a jeep or two as they flew up and turned over to the ground. The drivers and gunners managed to survive the attack as they crawled out of the wrecked cars as the bugs flew over them. The fight was fierce as they were using what they have in their disposal to get out of each other's hair, or metal plating. During the chase, the sniper leader looked to the battle and decided to help them out. Turning to his team, he told them what to do.

"Listen up! We got bugs buzzing around our boys, trying to swat them down. I do believe it's time to help our friends in spraying bug repellant on them. Ready up and prepare to retaliate!"

The sniper team loaded up their sniper rifles and were prepared for some backup. Paduk got his Markza up and looked around for the closest ones to take out. Looking on, he spotted a few Insecticons that were chasing Sofia and Thorne around. Seeing this, he decided on where to go.

Paduk: "I got the one chasing my teammates!"

He then approaches the edge of the building and used his scope to get a close up to the bugs. Seeing the optics, he got into a close enough range and pull the trigger. Firing the one shot, the bullet flew straight to the one of the bugs and hit it in the eye. Once it pierced it, it screamed in pain and was upset over this. Thorne could see it distracted and took that opportunity in taking aim. Pulling the trigger, the shot an energy beam at the head for the finishing blow, bringing it down completely. When it was down, he looked to the building and saw Paduk with his sniper rifle armed and giving a quick salute. Thorne saluted back and was relieved he had help.

Thorne: "Thanks…"

Soon enough, the snipers joined in and was aiding the jeeps in taking out the Insecticons. The snipers fired their rifles and hit them in the optics to temporarily blind them. This left the others to fire their rockets and gauss beams at them and took them down quite easily. So far, the fight was going back to the human's side as they have everything under control. Carter looked to this and was glad that they're holding their own.

Carter: "Looks like things are looking up for us. Maybe there's a chance we can survive this."

Johnson looked to this and could tell they got it in the bag. But then, he turned back to seem more Cons coming their way.

Sergeant Johnson: "We're not out of the woods yet. We got more Cons coming our way! Get ready!"

Carter turned to what he was looking at and saw more Airadicons heading towards their way.

Carter: "Great… More Decepticons coming from the woodworks. Let's clean this up!"

Arming his rifle, he got out of cover and fired away at the Cons in the air. The others soon joined in and attacked the Cons with everything they got. But the Cons are tough, as the bullets didn't leave a dent on the armor. The turret team saw them in the air and joined in the fight, firing their armor piercing bullets at them. Carmine joined in as well and fired his turret, attacking the nearest Decepticon jet. As he got a close enough hit, the wing was clipped and the jet spiraled out of control. It then landed on the ground and careened straight to the military. The men saw this and panicked as they ran for their lives as the jet smashed through the defenses. Once it made a stop, everyone looked to the aftermath and was silent over the destruction. One of the turret soldiers turned to Anthony was irate over this.

"Seriously? We have to hold them off and you give them an easy way in?! The fuck is wrong with you?!"

Carmine looked to him and lifted his hand up in embarrassment.

Carmine: "My bad… I was caught in the moment."

As that happened, a few of the jets got past the barrage and flew over the facility. But instead of attacking the building, they wanted to focus on the outside forces. Scattering on the ground, they transformed and landed around the humans, targeting on all angles. Arming blasters on both of their arms, the fired wildly and shot at everything they see. Some of the soldiers got to cover as they avoided the shots. But there were a few to got caught by the attack and were killed on contact. Now the situation changed, as the Cons were everywhere. Returning to the jeep Sofia and Thorne was on, they were busy with the remaining Insecticons on their tails. But as the S.W.A.T. officer was driving, she noticed the Airadicon blocking their path, shooting away at any humans that were close. It then turned to the jeep and aimed right at them. Thorne peeked to see the Con too and knew they were in danger.

Thorne: "Not good… Slow down Sofia! We need to avoid it!"

She looked on and knew that she can't stop.

Sofia: "Too late! Can't stop now! Gotta drive forward!"

The Con charged the two blasters as Thorne looked on in fear.

Thorne: "Not a good choice of words there!"

The two continued to drive as they got close to the enemy. The Airadicon was fully charged as he was about to open fire. But before he could pull the triggers, a shell came out of nowhere and hit him on the side, staggering a bit and damaging him. He turned to the direction of the shell to wonder who hit that, only to get hit again, squarely in the chest. He fell down and went offline, killing him in two shots. Sofia and Thorne saw this and were confused of what happened. Turning to the direction of the direction of the two shells, they saw a military tank to the side. That said military tank was driven by Katherine and operated by Emile. The two saw this and was glad that they were saved.

Sofia: "Thanks for the save. We owe you one."

They soon drive away as they were still getting chased by the remaining Insecticons. Emile saw this through his scope and decided to help them. Using the missile bed on the sides, he targeted the bugs and fired multiple mini missiles at them. The missiles hit bombarded them to the side and tore them apart completely. Sofia saw the remaining Cons go down and smiled wider.

Sofia: "Make that two…"

As they drove away, Katherine saw this through her scope and was pleased to save her teammates. But maneuvering the tank, she saw a few more Airadicons gunning down the military. Seeing this, she decided to intervene.

Katherine: "Looks like we got more men in trouble. Ready to help save lives?"

Emile heard this and answered her straightly.

Emile: "I do more then saving lives, I blow shit up!"

The tank headed straight to the other Cons as the scout fired away at the Cons with the cannon and mini missiles. The shots killed them all as the fall to the ground. There were other tanks that joined in on the fight and attacked the other Airadicons and Insecticons that are around the area with all that they have in their disposal. They all thought that this new strategy is going to work and they will be in the clear. But then a bunch of energy projectiles came out of the blue and blew up around the building. Only two tanks got caught in the barrage and blew up completely, killing the soldiers inside. The sergeant looks to this and turned back to see more Tankicons driving to them followed by more Vehicons racing forward. They soon transformed and armed up, firing their blasters and cannons to the human military. Looking to this, he knew it won't be good as Carter witnessed it too.

Carter: "There's just no end to them!"

Sergeant Johnson: "Tell me about it. It seems as though they won't rest until we are all dead. I think it's now time we pull all the stops."

He got on the comm. and decided to give the rest of the military the order to end all orders.

Sergeant Johnson: "All units, this is Sergeant Johnson. It's time we don't pull back and hit them hard! Focus your fire on any Con that gets in your way!"

Soon enough, everyone got into their positions and was prepared for a war. By the time they were set, they fired away at anything that is a Decepticon. Paduk and the sniper team spread out all over the roof and used their sniper rifles to take out visors, blinding them completely. The remaining tanks spread around to handle any Con that was around the building, whether they be Airadicon or Insecticon. The jeeps soon joined in to clean up the rest of the forces that were left behind. They kept firing their gauss cannons and rocket turrets to pick off the remaining stragglers around the facility. But then, there are the Tankicons and Vehicons in the front as they were bombarding the humans with energy projectiles and shells, those said shots got near the building and nearly blown it up. Seeing this, the mortar team intervenes as they crank their mortars to a good enough height to get to them. Loading up their shells, the there launched high in the air and rocketed down towards them. The shells exploded midair and rain down to the Cons. Most of them were completely overwhelmed by the unexpected attack and were torn to pieces. However, the Tankicons were smarter then the last ones as they immediately used their shields as umbrellas and protect themselves from the aerial barrage. Unfortunately, they left their fronts exposed as the human military took that said advantage. The remaining tanks and jeeps drove ahead and prep their weapons while the turret unit aimed their mounted guns at the targets. Just as they were set, they fired everything they had for one final barrage. The exploding shells and energy beams ripped opened their chests while the turrets struck right through the spark chambers, killing them on contact. Once the remaining Cons were down, the area was clear and safe for the moment. As soon as that fierce battle was over, Carter took a deep breather and was relieved that it was finally over.

Carter: "Man that was rough. I could only imagine what other surprises they have in store for us."

Johnson looked to the carnage around the area and gave a deep heavy sigh.

Sergeant Johnson: "At least we managed to survive all of this. Too bad that we lost half of our defenses and suffered some casualties. Let's hope that's the last of them."

When he said that, Lasky and Palmer arrived to assess the damage.

Captain Lasky: "Sergeant, status."

Johnson looked to them and told them of the situation.

Sergeant Johnson: "The Decepticons did a number on us, sir. We suffered some damages at our defenses and lost a lot of men. We don't know how long we'll last if another wave comes up."

The captain looked around and knew things are starting to look bleak.

Captain Lasky: "Yeah… It seems like the Decepticons really want us dead so badly. We cannot survive another firefight if we stay here much longer."

He soon turned to the commander to give her a quick nod. Palmer knew what that meant as she contacted the facility to see where they are in the decent downwards.

Commander Palmer: "Come in Evac Unit. Area is secured, but our defenses are dwindling. We need to get everyone underground ASAP. I'm going to need a status update on the situation."

She waited for a response as the soldier on the other end of the situation.

"Yes ma'am. I got some good news and bad news on our end. The good news is that we already got half the civilians underground. The bad news is that everyone is cramming themselves into the lift as much as they could. Apparently the commotion outside has gotten everyone in a panic and rushing to the elevator to make room. We cannot control this any longer."

Palmer listened in and didn't like this at all.

Commander Palmer: "Stand by… I'll ease the situation."

Turning off the comm., she turned to the captain as Lasky asked what happened.

Captain Lasky: "Problem?"

Commander Palmer: "You could say that. The civilians in the building are in the panic frenzy as they are all rushing into the elevator. I can't blame them for getting scared over the attack, but they need to understand that their worriness would lead to more situations. I'm going down there to assess the mess."

Lasky heard that and decided to let her do that.

Captain Lasky: "Go on… We'll remain here and keep the Decepticon hoard at bay."

Palmer nodded as she hurried to the facility to maintain order. As she was leaving, Carter approached the captain and asked for something.

Carter: "Sir, if I may ask, you think more Decepticons are coming here. After what we've been through, we've managed to take on hoard after hoard of Cons and nearly got ourselves killed over all of this. You don't think more are coming, do you?"

The captain turned to him and told him that it's a possibility.

Captain Lasky: "After what you said, you were right that the Cons are using everything they have in eliminating us. I'm certain that what we face is nothing compared to what's to come. We need to be prepared of what's to come next."

Just as he said that, Johnson spotted something and told him about that.

Sergeant Johnson: "With all due respect sir, I do believe that we don't have to wait any longer. Look over there!"

The two turned to Johnson pointing straight ahead and turned to that direction where the flames of the remains of the fallen Cons. What they saw is what looked like a huge shadow heading straight to them, getting closer to them. By the time the shadow got through of the flames, everyone was shocked to see who came out.

"Carter: "No…"

Captain Lasky: "Dear God…"

With the rest of Noble, they were shocked the most as they thought this certain Con was long gone.

Anthony Carmine: "No way…"

Thorne: "It can't be…

Paduk: "It's not possible…"

Standing before them were was Shockwave, the Decepticon science officer that survived Noble's last attack and stood there with charred blemishes on his armor. Everyone looked on in surprise as they didn't expect the science officer to survive that. Emile looked to the scope and didn't believe this was happening.

Emile: "What the fuck?! That Cyclops is still moving?! I thought we blown that bastard to smithereens!"

Katherine looked to this and was just as surprised as everyone.

Katherine: "Guess we were wrong on all of that. This bastard has more lives then that of a cat. Even more vicious as one."

Carter, Johnson, and Lasky looked to this and were extremely nervous of the situation.

Captain Lasky: "Great… As if our day couldn't get any worse. All right everyone, get ready! He's going to be our final line of defiance!"

Everyone started to man up their arsenal and waited for the right moment to strike back. As they were getting ready, Shockwave looked to the building behind the military and went on ahead with the final part of the plan.

Shockwave: "Location has been found. Placing the beacon for the Nemesis."

He opened his compartment and took out the beacon Starscream gave him to bring the Nemesis in. Once he pushed the button, he stepped back and the device started to float while the top opened up to fire a beam of light in the air. Everyone looked to the beam as Carter looked on in wonder.

Carter: "Um… What he's doing?"

Johnson looked to that device and knew what it was.

Sergeant Johnson: "I saw that before at the Jasper's City Hall. That looks like the beacon that sends their huge flagship to go Independence Day on the buildings."

Carter turned to him and was a little confused by that.

Carter: "Independence Day?"

Just then, he remembered about the aftermath of the mini mall and put two and two together.

Carter: "Shit… He's going to send the ship to destroy the facility… We have to stop him!"

Lasky turned to him and asked on how.

Captain Lasky: "And how are we going to stop him? We hit him with everything but the kitchen sink and he's still standing."

Carter looked to the beacon that Shockwave placed and came up with an idea.

Carter: "You said that this beacon brings the flagship in? Right? If we target that beacon, that ship won't be able to reach it."

The Sarge noticed this as well and could see the science officer standing in front of it.

Sergeant Johnson: "Yeah… There's one problem though, we got that big bad Con protecting it. How are we going to get to that?"

Carter looked to the Cyclops as well and decided to roll with it.

Carter: "Will be working on that. Right now we need to focus on that device. If we don't destroy it soon, then we'll be living an actual Independence Day."

Lasky looked to this and realized that it was now or never.

Captain Lasky: "You're right! We have to destroy that thing before the Con ship heads to our position. All units! This is Captain Lasky! Forget about the Cyclops! Focus your attention on the beacon he placed! We must end this once and for all!"

All the men heard that through their comm. pieces and knew what must be done. So with that said, half the units fired their weapons at the Con while the other half focused on the beacon. Shockwave could see what they're planning and decided to protect it.

Shockwave: "These humans are more desperate then I've originally thought. The beacon must be protected at all costs."

Stepping forward, he blocked the beacon and protected it from the incoming projectiles. Charging his cannon, he fired the first shot and took out a small group of military personnel, killing them completely. He then turned to see a few tanks firing away at the beacon as his tough armor protected it. Turning his cannon to them, he fired another shot and blew them up to bits. The firepower was grand as the men tried so much, only to get nothing out of it. The mortar squad though got an advantage as the leader told them to load it up.

"Mortars!"

The group loaded up the shells and cranked it to the right angle to get the beacon. They soon fire and the shells flew up to the air, only to came down and split apart to multiple projectiles. Shockwave looked up and saw them rocketing projectiles heading downwards. Knowing this, he aimed up and the cannon shifted into multiple openings. The moment he fired, multiple energy lines spread wide and hit the split apart shells, creating a fireworks display. The Mortar squad saw that in completely shock, as Barrick was worse for ware.

Barrick: "That doesn't look good."

Once that was over with, Shockwave looked to the Mortar team and shifted his cannon back to normal, aiming it at them. Charging a shot, he fired as it headed towards them. The group could see this as the leader them to move.

"Heads up! Incoming!"

The group left the Mortars and ran for their lives. They managed to escape, but the shot destroyed the area and took out most of the mortars in the process. That blast pushed the team as they flew in different directions. Barrick fell to the ground and skidded to a stop. Fortunately, the body armor protected him, but not his ego.

Barrick: "Argh…! Does this Con have any more tricks up his metal sleeves?!"

Soon enough, the tanks came up in a line and were in front of the military group. The tank leader looked through his scope and decided to put an end to this.

"All right! You want to play tough. Fine then… We'll play tougher! All units, focus your fire on the Con! Hit him enough to make him fall on top of the beacon!"

Emile heard that through the comm. and was a little hesitant on this one.

Emile: "I don't think that plan will work…"

Katherine told him to stick it and focus on the mission.

Katherine: "Just do what this guy says and fire away! We can't let that beacon lead the ship to the facility!"

Emile and the other military men aimed their cannons at the Science officer and fired away on him. Shockwave got down and was in a protective stance as the missile shells hit his super tough armor. Though the blasts did cause much of a scratch, it really got him overwhelmed as he was slowly loosing his balance. Just then, the jeeps came in and joined in on the fight.

"We have him on the ropes! Let's finish this bastard off!"

The jeeps drove on ahead as the cannon operators pointed the gauss and rocket turrets right at their target. They soon fired right at the Con and hit him with everything they got. Shockwave kept on protecting the beacon with his tough armor, but he knew that wouldn't do much as they were firing on him. Thorne looked to this and was surprised that the plan was working.

Thorne: "Holy shit! It's working! It's really working! We're taking the Con down!"

Sofia though reminded the recruit that it wasn't over yet.

Sofia: "Don't celebrate just yet. The Cyclops is still tough as nails. We need to hit him hard if we are to stop him."

Thorne loaded his weapon up and fired away.

So he and the others continued to fire away as the Shockwave held on with all his might. He looked back to the beacon and knew that he had to protect it as much as he could until the Nemesis arrives. Getting up, he lifted his cannon to anything close by and charged his shot. He fired it at a nearby jeep driving by, only to miss it by a foot. He then turned and fired at the next jeep but missed that one as well. With the continuous blasts from the tanks and jeeps, it was getting difficult to target anyone. Back to the turret unit, they watched on to see the Con struggling to protect the beacon. Carmine smiled behind his mask and was pleased with what was happening.

Anthony Carmine: "Got to say, for a Con such as him, he sure as hell does take a beating."

The turret captain looked on and decided to put an end to it all.

"This is now our chance to put a stop to this mad Con. All turret units, fire away! Hit that bastard with everything you got!"

The turret operators pointed their guns right at the Decepticon and fired away. The armor piercing bullets hit the con and while it didn't damage him much, weakened him a little. Combined with the explosive shells and missiles, it was getting extremely difficult for Shockwave to hold them all off. Carter watched it all and was at ease with what the teams are doing.

Carter: "Wouldn't you know it? Seems like the plan is working."

Lasky looked to this as well and didn't like it though.

Captain Lasky: "I don't know… They were suppose to focus on the beacon that's sending the alien ship to us, not the Con that's placing it."

Johnson though looked to this and knew what they are trying to do.

Sergeant Johnson: "Maybe… But giving that Shockwave is protecting the beacon with his body; it could also mean that he is trying to use himself as a shield. If our boys hit him enough, they will push him to the beacon and he'll fall on it!"

The captain looked at this and realized that he was right.

Captain Lasky: "Huh… You know what? You're right! It seems our friends have an idea in taking the Con down while destroying the beacon. Very clever."

Carter: "Well let's hope they could take him down fast. Cause by the looks of it, he's getting a little angry."

And angry he was… For Shockwave was getting overwhelmed by the continuing bombardments and had it with them. Feeling aggravated, he looked to the ground and decided to put a stop to all of this once and for all. Pointing his cannon down, it shifted into something that handles vibrations and charged it to full power. Lasky saw him doing that behind the explosions and now knew what Carter meant.

Captain Lasky: "I do believe angry is a bit of an understatement. Everybody, brace for impact!"

But it was too late as Shockwave pounded his weapon to the ground and ultimately created a sonic pulse that spreads in a circle. The pulse pushed the jeeps, tanks, and pretty much everyone else outside back and caused quite a mess. When that was all over, pretty much everything was in shambles as half the tanks were upside down and the jeeps were turned to the side. The towers that had the turrets toppled over like trees as they fell and broke apart. The men in them were buried as they were trying to get out. Meanwhile, the men around were knocked out as they were struggling to get up. Even Carter, Lasky, and Johnson were taken down as they sat up to recover. Lasky looked ahead and saw the last thing he ever wants.

Captain Lasky: "Oh no…"

Standing there, Shockwave got up and were barely scratched, looking even more aggressive then before. He starred at the humans and wasn't very impressed.

Shockwave: "Foolish humans… You think all you have in your arsenal can surpass someone as superior as me? Your weapons are primitive compared to what the Decepticons are capable of."

Paduk recovered form the push of the pulse blast and got his Markza out to see what they're up against this time. It was then he saw shadows from the flames from behind Shockwave. As soon as the shadows got out of the flames, he could see was looked like a huge group of Combaticons behind the Con. Getting his eye away from the scope, he warned everyone of the coming threat.

Paduk: "Guys? We got company…"

Carter saw the group of Cons as well and didn't like this at all.

Carter: "That's a confirmed, Paduk. Thanks for the heads up."

Shockwave then started to give out the order.

Shockwave: "This time, there won't be any survivors. Rip and tear, until they are no more."

They soon started to charge in as they charge their prods for battle. Most of the military managed to get up retaliated by firing their weapons at them. But the armor was tough and the bullets did little to nothing. The tanks that haven't been toppled over fired their cannons as they shot down a few, but there were more of them coming from all angles. One Combaticon got close and swung low to hit one of the tanks to the side and sent it flying towards the building. It then smashed through it and formed a huge hole from ceiling to the floor, showing the opening of the battle. The occupants inside were in a panic as they saw the fight and rushed to the elevators that were still getting a bunch of people in. Palmer could see them freaking out and calmed them down as much as she could.

Commander Palmer: "Everyone remain calm! Do not panic! We're going to get you all to safety as quickly as possible!"

Still, that didn't get them to relax, as they were scared for their lives. Vince looked to the crowd trying to get into the elevator as the doors closed and decent, only to rise again with an empty cart. Seeing how many people there are and the way the elevator was going, it wasn't going to be easy.

Vince: "Try as she can, she won't get these people to calm down. These people are still scared… I just hope Noble and the others are keeping those Cons at bay."

Unfortunate for him, Noble and the rest of the military have lost all control. Shockwave has gotten the advantage as he dwindled the military might by half while the Combaticons started to pick them off one by one. However, the military kept on hitting with all that they have. A bunch of soldiers was using their rifles to fire at one of the brutes, but the armor made it difficult to penetrate. That however got its attention as it turned to them and charged ahead with his prods in the back at full power. But as it got near to deliver the crushing blow, a stray bullet shot pierced its visor and was blind. It freaked out as it flailed its arms around, trying to get a good hit, only to get nothing but air. On the roof, Paduk and a few other snipers were around the building and were using their sniper rifles to take out some of the Combaticons by the optics. Still, it wouldn't do much as there were too many Combaticons to take care of. Lowering his scope, he saw more coming and did a desperate sigh.

Paduk: "This is too much to handle. At this rate, that alien ship will come and wipe us out!"

Carter heard him through the comm. and knew that he had a point.

Carter: "Paduk's right. All of these Cons here are only to distract us! Our main goal is to destroy that beacon before their ship comes to flatten the facility."

Lasky though looked to Shockwave that was still protecting it and still didn't like the odds.

Captain Lasky: "Well, I hope you have a plan set up. Cause by the look of the opposition, we won't stand a chance."

Back in the main battle, Carmine was in the middle of it and was firing on any Con close by with the detached blaster he obtained at KO. Charging his weapon, he fired a powerful shot at a Combaticon and hit it squarely in the chest, laying it on the ground. He smiled under the mask and was successful at it. But looking around, he knew that this was a long ways to go. With that many Decepticons and Shockwave protecting the beacon, it will be a matter of time before they loose everything. Looking around, he spotted a jeep getting close by with a turret operator not present. Probably getting killed during the last attack. The jeep soon stopped next to Carmine and asked for a quick favor.

"You there! Yes! You with the goggles and facemask! Can you operate a rocket turret? I need someone to lay waste on those Cons!"

Carmine heard that and knew he was referring to him. Knowing the driver wants a shot gunner; he gave a quick nod and hurried to the back, jumping on the rocket turret. As he got on, he told the driver to get going.

Anthony Carmine: "Punch it!"

The driver pushed the gas pedal as it sped straight towards the battle. They soon drove towards one of the Combaticons as it was getting to the group of men running for their lives. The driver then told him to distract him.

"Looks like our boys are outgunned. We need to get them out of danger! Shoot at the Con!"

Carmine heard that and knew what to do.

Anthony Carmine: "I'm on it!"

Positioning the rocket turret to the Combaticon, he pushed the button and fired multiple missiles at him. The rockets hit its side and got its attention as it turned to see them drive past it. Feeling aggravated, it turned to them and ran strait towards them, charging its prods to deliver the crushing blow. Hang the rockets automatically loaded, he turned to it and fired more rockets at it. The shots hit it in the front, but didn't do much of damage. When he saw it still charging, he turned back to tell the driver the problem.

Anthony Carmine: "Rockets aren't working!"

The driver waved it off and told him about that.

"Tell me something I don't know. I have a shake it. Hold on!"

The driver veered left and right, avoiding the debris and trying to loose the Combaticon. But the enemy swung its arms around to hit anything that gets in its way and made a clear path to the jeep. The driver looked through the review mirror and didn't like the odds.

"Damn! That bastard doesn't give up at all. Does he?"

Anthony looked back and was a little surprised.

Anthony Carmine: "Apparently not. Now what?"

The Combaticon charged his prods in the back and was ready to put a stop to them. Anthony got the rocket turret up and was ready to slow him down. But before the two can fight them off, a beam came out of the blue and hit the Combaticon in the head, blowing it up with a powerful blast. The Combaticon was now a headless chicken as it moved around a little bit until falling flat on the body. Carmine looked on with confusion, as he didn't know what just happened.

Anthony Carmine: "Wha… What just happened?"

Just then, he heard a voice from close by that was very familiar.

Sofia: "Carmine! Over here!"

Anthony turned to the direction of the voice and saw Sofia driving the other jeep with Thorne in the back with the gauss cannon smoking at the end. They soon drive next to the other jeep as Carmine was surprised by this.

Anthony Carmine: "Sofia? Thorne? What are you doing here? I didn't think that your ride was able to stand."

Sofia peeked to him while peering her eyes ahead to drive.

Sofia: "What can I say, we were lucky that attack got our jeep back on its wheels. Thank goodness these things are durable, otherwise we would've been upside down.

Carmine then looked to Thorne and thanked him for the save.

Anthony Carmine: "Thanks for the assist. Didn't think I was going to make it after that."

Thorne looked to him and shrugged it off.

Thorne: "Hey, when you have a high powered cannon that can kill someone with one shot, anything can happen."

Just as the reunion was going smoothly, the driver on Carmine's jeep got restless and told them to stop.

"Sorry to interrupt this little get together, but there's a war going on. Can we focus on getting these Cons out of our hair?"

Carmine looked to the driver and told him that they got it.

Anthony Carmine: "We're working on it! But our main focus is that beacon the Cyclops placed. If we don't destroy it quick, that ship will come and ruin everything!"

Sofia looked ahead to see Shockwave a little busy with the remaining military force. Seeing the beacon from behind, she decided to take that opening.

Sofia: "Looks like the Con is a little distracted over the others. If we can take that opening, we might be able to put an end to this."

Thorne turned to where the beacon is located and saw a group of Combaticons blocking the way.

Thorne: "One problem… We got a group of Cons in our way that will prevent us from getting there."

Sofia looked to them as well and decided to take the risk.

Sofia: "Then it looks like we have to go all in on this. Follow my lead!"

She then drove on ahead and went straight to the Con hoard in front of them. The driver looked to this and was a little hesitant.

"She's crazy…"

Carmine though looked on and decided to join in.

Anthony Carmine: "No… She knows what she's doing. Just follow her, I'll do the shooting!"

The driver gulped and didn't like the odds of this game. But he had no choice as he went on ahead to aid the S.W.A.T. officer. The two jeeps drove down as the Combaticons saw them coming and charged their prods to take them down easily. Sofia saw this and told everyone to follow her lead.

Sofia: "Make it quick, make it good. Cause this is going to get loud!"

The two jeeps split up and went on to the attack. The Combaticons tightened their fists and started to attack the two jeeps rushing towards them. The vehicles avoided the hits and they careened from one direction to the next. At the same time, the two Noble members used their mounted weapons and fired away at the Combaticons close by. Some of their shots killed them, some missed them. But they managed to get by as they drove past the Combaticons to reach their objective. Back with Carter, Johnson, and Lasky, they were holding their own as they had their rifles up. Even the captain had a rifle to help aid them in battle. During the fight, Johnson saw the jeeps passing by and told the others about it.

Sergeant Johnson: "What in the hell are those idiots doing?"

Carter heard that and turned to see the jeeps driving toward Shockwave and the beacon and was quite shocked by this.

Captain Lasky: "Carter? Care to explain to me why your men are jumping head first into danger?"

Carter looked to them heading to that posing threat and knew what they are up to.

Carter: "Isn't it obvious. Putting a stop to the Cyclop's plan by any means necessary."

The two jeeps got passed the Combaticons and were heading straight to Shockwave how had his servos full in holding the military down. Once they drove towards him, Sofia gave out the plan.

Sofia: "All right, he's still distracted. Once we get around the Cyclops, we target the beacon and blow it to bits!"

The driver in the other jeep heard that and didn't like the odds.

"You've got to be kidding me. You're saying that we have to destroy the beacon with that Con around it?! That's crazy!"

Carmine heard him say this and told him what they've been through already.

Anthony Carmine: "Buddy… If you've been with us during the whole invasion, then you would've seen what we could do."

Thorne though thought of having second chances on this plan.

Thorne: "You're sure this is a good idea, Sofia. With Shockwave in the way, it could get complicated."

Sofia looked up to him and told him that it was all right.

Sofia: "Relax, Thorne. Nothing bad is going to happen to us. As long as Shockwave is distracted, we'll be able to get by easily."

They were getting close to their location and was about to attack. But then, Shockwave detected something on his sensors and turned to see the two jeeps heading towards them. He soon turned the cannon to them and charged a shot. Sofia looked to this and realized her mistake.

Sofia: "Then again, I could be wrong…"

The cannon fired as a stray shot reached them. The driver saw this and told everyone to move out of the way.

"Split up!"

The two jeeps went to two different directions as the blaster shot hit the spot they were on. As they split, they tried to get close to the beacon and shoot at it, but Shockwave blocked them at any turn and fired at them again and again. Shot after shot, he tried to take them out, but they speed and moved so fast and turned so quick they he couldn't get a precise shot. They soon fired back with their weapons, not only hitting the science officer, but also the beacon. While the shots hit Shockwave, but not damage him, the rest flew around the object bringing the flagship in. Perhaps it was because they were driving around and they couldn't get a good enough target. Still, they wouldn't give up as they were trying their best in taking out that beacon. The driver then noticed an opening when Shockwave was distracted by Sofia and Thorne and decided to take it.

"I got a clear shot! Are you ready to go?"

Carmine saw this opening as well and told him that he's at the ready.

Anthony Carmine: "I'm ready! Just get me close to that beacon and blast it down!"

Feeling confident, the driver floored it and sped straight to the beacon. Returning to Shockwave, he was busy shooting at the jeep Sofia and Thorne was on while they avoided each shot and fired their own. The scientist turned his body to block those shots with his tough armor. While blocking it off, he caught something in his red optic. On his radar, he could see a dot rushing towards her position. Not only that, but it was heading to the beacon. Turning to the direction of the dot, he saw the other jeep heading straight towards the beacon and was moving incredibly fast. He quickly pointed his cannon to them and charged a very powerful blast. Thorne looked to this and warn Sofia of the situation.

Thorne: "Shit! They've been spotted!"

Sofia saw this and realized the danger.

Sofia: "Yeah… I notice it."

She quickly contacted the driver and warned him of the situation.

Sofia: "Driver! The Cyclops has you in your sights! Evade! I repeat: Evade!"

The driver though couldn't stop as he explained it as much as he could.

"I can't! I'm going way to hot! I can't get myself out of it! I'm going in! You got one shot pal. Make it count!"

Carmine saw the beacon getting closer and decided to make that risk.

Anthony Carmine: "All right! Let's do this!"

Pulling the triggers, multiple rockets fired right at the beacon and hoping to make the hit. As the rockets were flying, Shockwave shifted his cannon and multiple shots came out and soared straight to the rockets. Those blaster shots hit the rockets at the two collided and formed a line of explosions. The jeep soon sped through the fall of fire as the heat nearly burned them. The two managed to survive that as they escape the flames. But when they got out of the fire, they went into the pan as Shockwave was in front of them. With his hand tight, he punched the jeep when it was close and it crushed the hood. The jeep then acted as the catapult and launched the two from the vehicle and landed on the floor. Sofia and Thorne saw this and knew that one of their own is in danger.

Sofia: "Oh no! Carmine! He's in danger!"

She drove down there and tried to rescue them. But as she was going to do that, blaster shots rain down on her as she made an immediate stop. Looking up, she saw more reinforcements coming from the air as the Airadicons came swooping down in their jet modes. As they flew down, they transformed and landed on the ground, continuing to fire. Throne saw this and didn't like the odds this time.

Thorne: "And here comes the Calvary."

Sofia saw this and backed up to get away from the firepower.

Sofia: "Damn it! There are too many! I can't get near Carmine!"

She contacted Carter and explained the situation.

Sofia: "Carter! This is Sofia! Carmine is in grave danger! He needs help!"

Carter heard that through his comm. and checked the scope of his rifle. That's when he saw Carmine in a daze as he was slowly getting up. Behind him, Shockwave fired on the driver that was out and killed him in one shot. He soon turned to the soldier and slowly walked towards him. Seeing this through his scope, Carter realized that Anthony was in grave danger as he warned the rest of Noble of the situation.

Cater: "That can't be good… Any member of Noble, do you read? Carmine is in the middle of that war zone and the Cyclops is getting to him. Someone needs to rescue them!"

Everyone listened to him as Paduk got a good look at his scope. Seeing Carmine in grave danger, he told him of his position.

Paduk: "I already got eyes on him, but I'm too far from his position. I can't reach him!"

Barrick heard this as well and saw Carmine trying to recover. To that end, he ran as fast as he could.

Barrick: "I'm heading to his position now! Just give me a second and I'll-"

But as he tried to get Carmine, two Airadicons transformed and landed in front of him, blocking his path. The demo expert stopped dead in his tracks and was in a bit of trouble now.

Barrick: "Shit! They blocked me off! I won't be able to get to him!"

He backed away from them and took his grenade launcher out and fired away, getting as many shots as possible. In the tank, Katherine drove on ahead with Emile on the weaponry system to provide all the backup necessary.

Katherine: "We got this taken care of Barrick. We're going to plow in and start the rescue. Right, Emile."

Emile was fully set and was ready to attack.

Emile: "You know it, Kat. Any Con that gets in our way will answer to us. Let's go save a friend!"

They continued to drive forward as Emile shot his cannon at any Con that was close by. As they were driving, they were getting closer to their goal. But as they were getting near, they could hear a shriek coming from above. Emile heard that and checked his scope of the tank to see what's going on. It was then he spotted huge bugs flying overhead with the Decepticon jets. Those bugs were Insecticons as they flew overhead.

Emile: "Great… Just what we need. More of those bugs."

The Insecticons then flew down towards them and was ready to finish them off. Katherine told the scout to fire right at them quick.

Katherine: "Knock them out of the sky! We can't let them get in the way of our rescue attempt!"

Emile could see them heading towards their position and decided to intervene.

Emile: "I got this one! Ain't no way we're going to let Carmine die on our watch!"

Lifting the missile bed up, he fired multiple rockets and they flew towards the Insect bots. The missiles hit the bugs and they blew up like that of the Forth of July Fireworks display. Some of the Insecticons managed to survive the onslaught and flew down and transformed, ready to take out the remaining humans that were in the way. Two of them blocked the tank's path as Katherine made a complete stop.

Katherine: "Shit! Shit! They got our way blocked! We won't be able to get to Carmine in time!"

The tank backed up as it was trying to get its distance from the bugs. Emile then fired the tank's cannon and the two shells hit the bugs, clearing the path. But not before more Insecticons landed and blocked their path again.

Emile: "Jesus Christ! These bastards just keep coming! Can't get a clear path!"

So he kept on firing to bring down the Insecticons while more of them showed up. Meanwhile, Shockwave slowly approached the soldier and was ready to finish him off. Carmine though got up and felt sore, trying to figure out what happened. But as he was recovering, he heard the voice of Carter telling him to run.

Carter: "Carmine! Get out of there! The Cyclops is right above you! Run!"

Carmine heard that and turned saw a huge shadow looming overhead. Slowly turning around, he looked up and saw the devil himself. Shockwave in all his glory. A part of him wanted to run, but his legs wouldn't respond. He didn't know if it were based on fear or bravery, all he know that he would fight till the very end. Carter could see that he wouldn't leave and warned him again.

Carter: "Carmine! Don't be a hero! Get out now!"

A few Vehicons started to block Carter's sight, he, Lasky, and Johnson saw them and fallback, shooting their rifles at them. Carmine slowly took out his blaster and armed it for a final stand.

Anthony Carmine: "Welcome to Earth…"

He pointed his weapon up and fired multiple shots right at the Con. The blasters bounced off the armor and didn't do anything. Shockwave looked on with sheer disgust as he bends down to grab him with his servo. The soldier was then picked up and carried over to his one optic to look at him. Anthony managed to free himself with his hand blaster and kept firing away at his optic. Still it wouldn't do anything as the visor bounce off the glass. He wouldn't give up however as he continued to shoot away, with him saying what would be his last words.

Anthony Carmine: "C'mon, you bucket of bolts! You want a piece of me? You want a piece of me?!"

It was then that Shockwave said the one thing that will ultimately end the human soldier.

Shockwave: "No… I want two!"

It was then that a Combaticon came in and aided Shockwave with the kill, grabbing the other half of Carmine, they did a little tug of war and used their strength to split him in two. Carmine screamed as he was going through the hellacious torture. That was until after one pull that Carmine's body was snapped in two and he made a blood-curdling scream. The force of the pull let him let go of the blaster as it flew through the air. All members of Noble turned to see their friend get perished, as time slowed down. The team's reaction was a bit upset as they used whatever they have to shoot right at the science officer. Cannon fire, bullets, rockets, energy blasts, anything they have, they used.

Meanwhile, in the sewer treatment facility, the civilians were almost evacuated as the last of them were waiting for the elevator to come. Palmer was waving down as she told everyone to keep pushing forward.

Commander Palmer: "Push it! Push it! There's enough room for everyone to get into the elevator! Hurry up!"

The students of Jasper Memorial were the next ones to go as they were waiting for their lift to come.

Principle Madden: "We're up everyone! Get ready when the elevator comes up! Make as much room as possible! We need everyone in there as quickly as possible."

Vince was next to the principle waiting as much as everyone was. With what he's been through, he can at least get some rest after the adventure he had with Noble. But if he were to wish for something, a part of him wanted to help Noble out as much as he could. At least he could be of more use then that of a driver. Still, he was successful as he can get a deserve break form all the attacks. But as he was ready to leave, he heard something falling from behind and made a loud ding. He soon turned around and saw something coming through the big crack of the building. It stop just a few inches to his feet as he looked down to see what it is. It was then that he spotted what looks like a detached Decepticon blaster, the very blaster that Carmine uses… Carmine… It can't be… Slowly looking up, he saw the fight outside that looked like the Cons were winning with blasters and bullets flying in every direction. But far ahead, he could see that Shockwave and a Combaticon together as they dropped the body that was split in two. Though he couldn't see it from where he was, he could tell that it looked like Carmine with the mask and goggles on. It was then that his world immediately crashed. Not only that he lost his family, but he also lost something that shared the same pain as him. He then remembered the kind words of advice he told him.

Anthony Carmine: "No matter how though that loss is, I had to keep moving forward in order to look ahead to the future. If you want to talk about it, feel free to speak to me."

He looked down to the blaster Carmine had and had many emotions swirling in his head. Fear… Anger… Confusion… All of which swirling in his head. But by the time he looked to the blaster, something else came into his body. He didn't know what, but the next emotion he felt was vengeance. He soon looked up to the culprit that both Carmine and his family suffered and decided he had enough. Bending down, he picked up the blaster and inserted his hand into the slot, trying to arm it, when he knew he got it right, he looked to the battle and was ready to strike back. Looking back to the battle, he through caution right out of the window and made a mad dash to the fight. Madden felt him leave and looked back to see him leaving. Feeling scared for him, he told him to come on back.

Principle Madden: Vince! What are you doing? Are you crazy?! Get back here this instant! You're going to get yourself killed!"

Vince though didn't listened, as he turned to the principle and told him that he must do it.

Vince: "I need to help my friends!"

He soon turned back and ran out of the facility. Madden though didn't like the looks of it and tried to stop him.

Principle Madden: "Vince, wait!"

But then, two soldiers showed up and blocked his path as they tried to keep him away from the others.

"Stay with the other civilians, sir. It's not safe out there anymore."

Madden turned to one of the soldiers and told him someone already left.

Principle Madden: "Tell that to Vince! He's getting away!"

The soldier turned to where the principle was pointing at and turned back to see the kid running to the crack on the building and climbing on the debris. He starred on in shock as he stated just one word.

"Scrap…"

Back to Vince, he climbed on up and got to the crack. Exiting the facility, he could see the whole place going straight to Hell. The Decepticons were pretty much everywhere as most of the military's defenses were dwindling more and more. But that didn't stop him as he was determined to help the team. Looking around, he could see Barrick in the middle of it all with a few soldiers with their own set of explosive weapons. Seeing him, he jumped off the debris and ran into the opening, with bullets and blaster fire flying all over him.

Up on the rooftops, Paduk was with the remaining sniper force holding the Cons back. Each shot he makes was précised as the bullets pierce their visors and blinded them completely. Once he took a Combaticon out, he searched for the next possible target. But as he was looking, he spotted someone with orange hair whizzing on by. Doing a double take, he saw Vince running towards the action with the blaster that belonged to the now late Carmine. His eyes were wide, as he couldn't believe that he was out in all this chaos.

Paduk: "What is that kid doing?"

He quickly contacted Carter and told him what he saw.

Paduk: "Carter, this is Paduk! I saw Vince running into danger!"

Carter heard this and looked around to find the teen. When he saw him running to Barrick, he warned the demo expert about someone coming.

Carter: "Barrick, keep your eyes peeled! Vince is out of the facility and is heading straight to your position. Be on the look out!"

Barrick heard this and lowered his rocket launcher to look for the bully. When he saw him rushing to his side. Seeing this, he couldn't believe that he would arrive unexpected.

Barrick: "Vince…?"

The teen made it to his side and ducked down in cover, trying to figure out how to get this blaster working. Barrick bent down next to him and demand why he's out in danger.

Barrick: "What are you doing out here?! It's too dangerous out here! You have to get back in the building!"

Vince though turned to him and told him that he's not going to leave.

Vince: "Forget it Barrick! I'm not going to fall back! I saw Carmine getting killed by that damn Cyclops. The very same Cyclops that killed my family! I cannot stand for that anymore! I'm going to help you and that's final!"

Barrick looked to him with worry and knew that he's now becoming committed in the whole battle now. But he could see in his face determination. The same determination Carmine had. Getting his blaster to work, Vince got out of cover and took aim right at the nearest con he sees. Looking to this, Barrick asked if he knows what he's doing.

Barrick: "Do you even know how to work that thing?"

Vince turned to him and was about to answer his question. But then, his finger hit the trigger inside the gun and fired multiple shots at the Con. The Airadicon was caught by it as a spew of projectiles hit his armor upwards. One of the hits got to his head and blew it up completely. The headless body moved around until it fell and shutdown completely. Barrick saw that and was surprised he could actually do that. Looking back to the bully, he had a faint smile as he told Vince to do what's best.

Barrick: "Kid, make Carmine proud."

Vince gave a warm smile as he turned to the hoard of Cons and fired away right at Cons that were attacking the military. Barrick soon joined him as he got his grenade launcher out and fired multiple grenades at the Insecticons, blowing them up on impact. Soon enough, what's left of the military was taking on the ever-growing army of Cons. Katherine and Emile were in the tank, driving around to avoid the blaster fire. At the same time, Emile was on the weaponry system and fired the cannon and mini missiles to bring down the ones that were the closes and the heavy hitters. Sofia and Thorne were right behind them as the S.W.A.T. officer drove around while the rookie fired the gauss cannon to pick off the smaller Decepticons, hitting them in the chest plates and heads. Paduk used his Markza to snipe off the others by piercing them through the visors and blinding them, watching as they fire on their own very blindly. Barrick this time switched his weapons to a rocket launcher and fired two shots at a charging Combaticon that was heading towards them. Vince was next to him and continuously fired at the Airadicons and took down a couple along the way. And Carter was with Lasky and Johnson as they used their rifles to distract any other Cons that were attacking the others. Long story short, the military was holding their own as much as they could. But with the Cons growing, it is becoming a problem for the humans.

Meanwhile, deep within the ruins of the Autobot base, the Cons were searching through the debris looking for the bodies of Team Prime. Observing the search was Starscream as he told them to keep looking through the wreckage.

Starscream: "Keep searching! The bodies of the Autobots must be found!"

Not far from him was their fearless leader Megatron with his Dark Saber Sword strapped to his back, looking down at the Autobot insignia that survived the blast. Though his right arm was severed, he still stood proudly over his accomplishments. First, letting the Autobots surrender the Omega Keys to spare their human companions. Then, using the Omega Lock to create a fortress close to the Autobot's base. And then finally, destroying the base in one huge blow. Just the thought of the enemy burning in the rubble brought a smirk to his devilish teeth. But he still needed to be sure that the Autobots either joined the Well, or survived. Turning back to his second in command, he asked him a question.

Megatron: "Starscream, have our forces found the bodies of the Autobots?"

Scream walked towards his leader and responded with the most honest of tone.

Starscream: "No my lord. With the base destroyed it would take them time to search for their bodies. Probably solar cycles."

The leader turned fully and had a distasteful look on his face.

Megatron: "Unacceptable… Keep looking. I need to be certain that Optimus and his team have been disposed of. And what of the extermination of that human town? What is the status?"

Starscream: "Almost finished, my liege. Shockwave has already discovered the last of the human resistance taking refuge in what this species calls a sewage treatment facility. Once Soundwave gets the Nemesis into position, then the vermin will be eradicated."

Megatron: "Excellent… Once the humans in this town have been destroyed, humankind will know that there is no chance of fighting against us."

Knockout: "Lord Megatron."

The two cons turned in the direction of the voice and saw another heading towards them. This con had red armor color and front doors for his shielding, along with red optics that glowed in the night. This con was Knockout, the Decepticon's own medic.

Knockout: "Though I appreciate you walking about after what you've been through, I do believe it's wise that I take you back to the citadel for immediate medical evaluation. Perhaps put your old arm back in its place, since you lost the other one on Cybertron."

The leader looked at the medic intently and responded in a cold expression.

Megatron: "I will return to my citadel Knockout, once I know the Autobots have been disposed of."

Knockout nervously laughed and rubbed the back of his helm.

Knockout: "But of course my liege. I'll leave the medical procedure on hold until you're ready to return."

As soon as he said that, an Airadicon approached the three and told them what his team found.

Airadicon 01: "Forgive the intrusion my liege, but my team has found something that might interest you."

Megatron turned to him and asked if it was his enemies.

Megatron: "The Autobots?"

Airadicon 01: "No. But it's even better."

As if on cue, a small group of Airadicons approached the first and were holding two different objects in their servos. Once placed on the ground, the three looked at them and couldn't believe what they saw. The first was a long futuristic sword that had been split in two at the top, wedged into a piece of unrecognizable machinery. The other was a huge hammer with gears in between the top of the stick and the hammer ends at both sides. It's obvious that these two were the Star Saber and the Forge of Solus Prime, two Iacon artifacts that can only be wielded by a Prime. The three looked on and were surprised by this sudden event.

Starscream: "The Star Saber and the Forge of Solus Prime? Interesting… Never really thought that Optimus would abandon his sword."

Knockout: "True… But what is the Forge doing in this base? Shouldn't it be in storage back in the Nemesis?"

Megatron rubbed his chin and wondered about why the Forge would be in the Autobot base when it should be in his flagship. But then he remembered about Dreadwing and what he was planning to do with Starscream before the leader exterminated his spark. Putting the two together, he came to an obvious conclusion.

Megatron: "It's clear that the list of Dreadwing's treachery continues to grow. It could even explain why the Autobots managed to reach Cybertron to take back the Omega Keys. Doesn't matter anyway, since we now have these relics back in our possession. Take them to the treasury with the other artifacts the Autobots graciously handed to us."

The drone nodded as he and the others took the two Iacon relics to the fortress. As they were leaving an Insecticon approached the three and told them what his group had found.

Insecticon 1: "My lord…"

The three turned to the Insecticon as the leader responded.

Megatron: "Yes, what is it?"

Insecticon 1: "We found this within the wreckage."

He waved his hand to the distance as two additional Insecticons approached them with what appeared to be an Insecticon stasis pod with the top heavily damaged and scratch marks on the ends indicating that someone struggled to get out. The strangest part was that the pod was empty with no one inside. Once the two placed the pod on the ground, the three looked on and find that to be a bit strange.

Knockout: "Odd. Why would the Autobots be interested in an Insecticon stasis pod and left it inside the base?"

Megatron looked at the pod too and noticed that someone or something made an escape.

Megatron: "It's clearly evident that they must've kept something in there in case it tried to escape. The question is who?"

But Starscream saw this too and remembered when he breached this very base to get the Omega Keys. He approached the Insecticon and asked him about it.

Starscream: "Tell me soldier, have you spotted someone making an escape when you encountered this pod?"

The bug shook his head and responded negatively.

Insecticon 1: "No commander. No one was there when we found it."

Scream just sighed and knew this was bad.

Starscream: "Then this complicates things."

Megatron: "Something wrong Starscream?"

The second in command jerked a little bit and realized that the leader will be getting suspicious about what Starscream had been doing while being rogue. So he cleared his throat and turned to his leader, trying to hide the truth.

Starscream: "Nothing my lord. But I suspect that the one who had been in that stasis pod was that rogue scavenger, Airachnid."

There was an awkward silence with the leader and medic as Knockout remembered something and turned to Megatron about it.

Knockout: "You know, he does have a point, Lord Megatron. We haven't heard of that wench since she terminated my assistant, Breakdown. It must be the reason why those Insecticons just stopped attacking the Nemesis a decacycle or two ago."

Megatron heard all that and realized that he was right on those occasions.

Megatron: "You make some very valid points, Knockout. We haven't heard from that traitor since I learned of her betrayal. It's fairly obvious that she didn't do too well against the Autobots herself. But it doesn't matter to us anymore."

Starscream was shocked by this and tried to reason with his leader.

Starscream: "It doesn't matter? But master, Airachnid has the ability to control these Insecticons. If she had escaped from the blast, then this could be a problem for all of us."

The leader looked towards his second in command and told him that it was all right.

Megatron: "Don't be so worried Starscream. I have already taken the liberty to have Knockout make some modifications to the Insecticon armada."

The red con chuckled and dusted off the sot from his chest plate.

Knockout: "Don't mind me… I'm a natural in fixing the errors in these little bugs. Once you see Airachnid try to control these little cretins, she will be in for a real surprise."

Megatron: "So you see Starscream, you have nothing to worry about."

He chuckled from the leader's calmness and felt a little nervous.

Starscream: "Right… I'll believe it when I see it."

Before things could return to normal, there was a loud voice coming from the distance.

Airadicon 2: "LORD MEGATRON!"

They all immediately turned to see an Airadicon looking completely erratic.

Megatron: "What is it soldier?"

The drone was freaking out and trying to explain it to him.

Airadicon 2: "There's… There's… We found- There's something- I- I- I-"

But Scream had it with his babbling and tried to tell him to shut it."

Starscream: "Spit it out already! What did you find?!"

He pointed to the left and hysterically told them to come.

Airadicon 2: "See this- You need to see this! Follow! Follow!"

He returned in that direction as the other drones and insects looked at him in pure confusion. Knockout looked at that erratic Con and found it to be a bit strange.

Knockout: "Well, what crawled up his tailpipe and died?"

Megatron himself found it odd. But the drone's irrational behavior could only mean he found something important. So he started following his loyal soldier. Starscream and Knockout soon followed behind, along with everyone else, wondering what their comrade found as well. Megatron caught up to the freaked out Airadicon, who pointed his discovery to the leader.

Airadicon: "Look! Look!"

Megatron slowly walked past the Con and checked to see what the drone found. But suddenly, he stopped with his optics wide in shock and saw something he never expected. Beneath the huge rubble was what appeared to be a lifeless servo sticking out of the wreckage. The others looked at this too and were silent by this discovery.

Knockout: "Is that what I think it is?"

Megatron just stared at the arm sticking out and knew who it belonged to. Regaining his composure, he told his militia to dig the body out.

Megatron: "Remove the rubble. Slowly…"

Following his orders, the Cons gathered around to begin the painstaking process of removing it from the body. The Vehicons and Airadicons removed the smaller stuff like rocks, metal, and concrete while a few of the Insecticons transformed into their beetle like modes and lifted up the heavier pieces. Slowly the pile looked less and less filled until they reached the body. The moment the last huge piece of metal was removed, they all stood back and were shocked at what they uncovered. Soon enough, Megatron, Starscream, and Knockout joined and were even more surprised by this unexpected development. Within the wreckage was none other than the Autobot leader Optimus Prime, heavily damaged and in the worst of shape.

Returning to the main battle at the Treatment Facility, the remaining military personnel were holding the Cons all their own with everything they have in their power. But the enemy opposition kept on expanding as they overwhelmed the humans. Barrick fired two more shells to take out an Insecticon and a Combaticon, but could see more of them where they came from. The demo expert looked to the growing army and decided to pull off one final move.

Barrick: "That's it! I had it! I had it with these God damn Cons! Time I introduce to them my Ex Wife!"

He lowered his rocket launcher and dug into his compartment pocket. Once he got the special shell out, he was ready to take them all out in one shot. But Carter saw him take it out and told him to hold his fire.

Carter: "Don't do it, Barrick! We don't know what that shell will do! You fire that and you will take everyone out, including us and the civilians!"

Barrick heard that and could tell that he didn't want the Ex Wife fired.

Barrick: "Well unless you have a fool proof plan that will save all of our asses, we're royally screwed in all caps!"

Lasky heard that through the comms and decided to let them in on their final contingency plan.

Captain Lasky: "Then it looks like we have to go all in. Johnson, give out the orders! It's time we finish this."

Johnson nodded as he contacted the remaining units.

Sergeant Johnson: "All remain units, this is Sergeant Johnson. Fallback to the treatment facility! It is time to initiate Plan Z! I repeat, fallback and initiate Plan Z!"

Carter turned to Lasky and was a little confused by that order.

Carter: "Plan Z? What's that?"

Lasky turned to him and told him to follow the order.

Captain Lasky: "Just return to the facility. You'll see it when we get into position."

Carter sighed and turned on the comm. to alert the team.

Carter: "Noble Team! Fallback to the entrance of the facility!"

The team heard this and was surprised by the sudden order. Katherine contacted him and told him that it was ridiculous.

Katherine: "Sir, with all due respect, falling back would lead to more trouble."

Carter though told them to follow it.

Carter: "That's a direct order! Now do it!"

Katherine heard this and decided to listen to him.

Katherine: "Understood. Emile, we're falling back!"

Emile heard this and was shocked by this.

Emile: "You're kidding, right? We got a chance stopping these Cons and we have to head back to the very place they want to destroy?! That's a whole lot of bull shit!"

Katherine turned back and told him that it was the only option.

Katherine: "Just do what the Noble Leader said, whatever plan they got, it has to be good."

She then steered the tank to the left while outside the tank it turned and fell back to the facility. Sofia and Thorne saw them leaving and was curious with that as well.

Thorne: "We're leaving too? Cause it looks like Katherine and Emile are thinking the same thing."

The S.W.A.T. officer thought this and decided to screw all of this.

Sofia: "Beats fighting a loosing battle. I just hope they have a contingency plan in the works. Hold on!"

She turned the steering wheel to the left as the car drifted and went after the tank. At the same time, Thorne and Emile used the weapons they have in their possession and fired away on the Cons around them while evacuating. In the middle of the battlefield, Barrick grunted and didn't like the sound of the retreat. But he needed to follow it as they have little options left. He turned to Vince, who is getting use with the detached Con blaster he was using and had a field day with the Cons, charge blasting their heads and chests. The demo expert could see his change of persona and could tell that he would make a great soldier, but he knew the risk he was in as he told the bully and leave.

Barrick: "You heard Carter. It's time for us to go!"

Vince looked to him and was a bit irate over this.

Vince: "You're kidding me?! I just got into the battlefield and now you want me to leave?! What type of friend are you?"

The demo expert gave him a glare and told him to leave.

Barrick: "The kind that cares for your safety! Now let's get going! Unless you want to stay and get yourself shot."

By the time he said that, more blaster shots rained down all over them. Vince quickly ducked down as the shots nearly missed him. By the time he nearly survived that, he decided to follow his advice.

Vince: "On second thought, I retreating away from dangerous aliens seems like the obvious option."

Barrick: "Then let's get out of here!"

The two then ran back to the facility while the others headed to the same location. Shockwave saw them retreating and decided to take this opportunity.

Shockwave: "The humans are falling back to the facility. This is our chance to round them up and hold them there until the Nemesis arrives. Push them back! Do not let any human escape!"

The Cons heard that and charged in, firing their blasters and pounding their fists to block any escape. The ground split and rose up, preventing the military to scatter. But the humans knew where they were going as they made a retreat towards the facility. The rest of the Cons went after them and kept on shooting their blasters at them. They managed to kill a few as they were staggering away. But then, some of the Cons started got shot in the visor and blinded them, shooting each others. On the rooftop, Paduk and a bunch of snipers kept aim and slow the Cons down, giving the military time to get to the building.

Paduk: "Keep firing! We need to give the others time to get to the facility!"

The snipers kept on firing and blinded a few more. Meanwhile, the soldiers kept running or driving to the facility as they were preparing for their final plan.

Captain Lasky: "Keep on pushing! We need to get ready for Plan Z!"

At the same time, the Cons immediately surround the front as they were set at wiping out all the humans in the town. Shockwave could see the human falling in retreat and knew the time has come.

Shockwave: "The humans have reached the facility. They have nowhere to turn to. Surround the entrance! Do not let anyone escape! It's time we finish this!"

He loaded up his cannon attached to his arm and charged it up. He soon fired it and chipped away from the defenses. One blast hit a tank backing up as it blew up on impact and killed the people inside. Another shot hit a jeep driving away and it exploded and flew through the sky in fiery debris. He marched forward and was eager to get the humans in once place while leaving the beacon unattended. Soon enough, almost everyone were at the front of the building and was holding on with all that they have in their disposal. The remaining tanks, jeeps, snipers, mortars, machine gun turrets, and others weapons and explosives to hold them back. But the Cons were getting closer as they overpowered them completely. Carter looked to all of this and didn't like the odds of all of this.

Carter: "This is bad… We can't hold them off for much longer. Whatever plan you have captain, you better execute it immediately!"

Lasky looked to the Cons approaching while firing his rifle. So far, the time hasn't come as he told Carter to wait.

Captain Lasky: "Wait for it…"

The Cons continued getting near and the Noble Leader and still didn't like the odds.

Carter: "Wait for what? I hate to say this, but there are too many of them to count. If we have to execute what this Plan Z is, you better do it now!"

Lasky still think is not time and kept waiting.

Captain Lasky: "Wait for it…"

The Cons kept on getting closer and closer and looked eager to kill them all. Carter now had it told him that now would be the time to attack.

Carter: "Shit! Now! Do it now!"

The Cons were already near them and were ready to tear them apart while the military were completely cornered. At the military was hanging by a thread, the commander came in and spoke to Lasky of the good news.

Commander Palmer: "Sir! We got all the civilians underground. They are on their way to the fallout shelter."

The commander then looked up and was shocked to see a huge number of Cons all around the military. Blinking, she looked back to the captain and was very quiet about the whole thing.

Commander Palmer: "I take it I've missed out on all the fun?"

The captain turned to her and told her it's time.

Captain Lasky: "You think…? The Cons have overcome out forces! No way we can hold them back! Now would be a good time to burry them! Initiate Plan Z!"

The commander heard and knew what he meant by that. She soon nodded and responded by that order.

Commander Palmer: "Yes sir, captain!"

She then hurried to the laptop that was at the entrance and started to type away, inputting codes and sequences. Back outside, the military was getting overwhelmed as the Cons got closer. A few more men have fallen by the Cons as more of them were getting injured. Most of the weapons they possessed were almost spent as they have almost run out of options. Carter could see how bleak this looks and told Lasky of this situation.

Carter: "Whatever you guys are planning, you better do it now!"

Looking straight ahead, he saw Shockwave walking forward and was at a good enough distance. His red optic glowing bright as he was ready to finish this fight.

Shockwave: "Pitiful human… As I stated many times before, your chances in surviving against the Decepticons is poorly illogical."

Pointing his cannon to the humans and charged it to full power in an attempt to finish this battle once and for all. That charged shot was aiming straight at the Noble Leader and he gulped very heavily.

Carter: "And you better make it quick too. The last thing I want is to get blown to bits!"

Lasky saw the cannon taking direct aim and could tell that it won't end well.

Lasky: "Palmer…?"

Palmer typed furiously as she was nearly there.

Commander Palmer: "Almost there… And…"

By the time she hit enter, the permission has been granted and the map of the facility was shown in a zoom out aerial position. Suddenly, a couple of red lights blinked at the sides of what the smokestacks and other constructions were located. She smiled and told the captain the good news.

Commander Palmer: "We are a go!"

In between the facility, there were pipes and other buildings that made up facility while huge antennas were placed in between to distribute power. Somewhere within the areas, multiple exploding barrels, explosive plaster, nitroglycerine, and other materials for explosions were placed perfectly to handle the big plan. On top of each of the piles for C4 charges as they were on standby. Just then, they soon went from red to blinking yellow before stopping at green. By the time there were at the ready, the charges exploded, creating a chain reaction with all the stuff that was on top of it. All around the facility, huge explosions rocked the place as all of the Cons stopped what they were doing and looked up. Even Shockwave himself stopped himself before looking up to see the structures exploded in the button. They soon start to teeter and fall like a bunch of trees as they came down to the Cons that were all in position. Shockwave saw this as well and was very silent over the whole thing. That is until he spoke of this unexpected event.

Shockwave: "Hmm… Another slight miscalculation…"

All the debris soon landed on the Cons as they crushed them all in the process. Parts of the debris then hit the beacon and destroyed it completely while the light from the beacon fizzled out completely. A plum of dust pushed the military a bit as they were blinded by near visibility. Just as soon as the dust was cleared, everyone looked on to see the huge pile of debris where the Cons use to be. Most likely the Cons were crushed by the fall, including Shockwave. Carter looked to the aftermath and was confused by it all.

Carter: "Uh… What just happened?"

That's when Lasky approached the Noble Leader and answered his question.

Captain Lasky: "That was Plan Z."

Carter turned to him and was confused.

Carter: "Plan Z? That was Plan Z?"

Lasky turned to him and nodded in response.

Captain Lasky: "That's right. It was meant to be a final stand against the Cons if all other methods have failed. So when it came down to it, we initiate this plan. What Plan Z is that we set up explosive charges and barrels to knock down the buildings, smokestacks, power antennas, and filtration pipes between the facility. Once we blow them up, the area around it would fall and crush them completely. That's the beauty of Plan Z."

Carter looked back and forth between the chaos and was a little angry about it all.

Carter: "You mean to tell me that you had this plan all along while we were out there surviving, and you didn't tell us till now?"

Lasky shrugged it off and told him that it was an emergency plan.

Captain Lasky: "We were only saving it until things started to get bleak. And giving that we were running out of options, it was the only chance we had."

Soon enough, the rest of Noble joined in while Palmer and Johnson came by Lasky's side. Everyone looked to the debris and was pleased with the threat that was over.

Katherine: "Regardless, sir, the plan did work and this fight is over."

Carter turned to his second in command and decided to agree with her.

Carter: "Guess you have a point, Kat. I just hope that the ship didn't reach to beacon."

Everyone was quiet about it as they thought that adverted a disaster. But then, they looked to the distance to see something coming. What they saw is a huge alien ship coming through the smoke of the town far away. That alien ship is the Nemesis as it hovered straight to the facility as the remaining military stood back and was shocked to see it.

Barrick: "Uh… Sir… I do believe it's too late for that."

Everyone starred at it with pure disbelief as Palmer approached Lasky and say what everyone is thinking.

Commander Palmer: "Captain? Perhaps we should head underground as well, giving that we got all the civilians in to begin with."

Lasky looked to the ship getting closer and was nearing the facility.

Captain Lasky: "Perhaps you're right… All right everyone, fallback into the facility! Get to the service elevators immediately! Move! Move! Move!"

Soon enough, everyone ran into the facility and headed straight to the elevator that will take them underground. As soon as they left, something was moving through the ruble as a servo and sharp digits exploded out and was twitching for a little bit. Once the servo was placed on the debris, it pushed itself out and a head with a one red optic rose up. It was Shockwave as he survived the Plan Z attack. As soon as he slowly emerged from the debris, he looked like a mess as his armor was scratched up and dented up with there a crack on the optic. He looked ahead to see the military leaving into the building and his first initial thought was to go after them. But then, he turned back to see the Nemesis made it to his position and was reaching the Sewer Treatment Facility. Seeing this, he decided to let the ship handle the work as he walked away to get into a safe distance.

Inside the facility, the military were rushing to the elevators as they immediately crowded in and were trying to make an escape as fast as possible. Johnson waved them through and was telling everyone to get moving.

Sergeant Johnson: "Keep moving! Go! Go! Go! We have to get everyone in as much as possible! Double time!"

Everyone rushed in as much as they could and crowd the lift completely. Thankfully, it was big enough to get the rest of the military in. As they all got into the elevator, Johnson and Lasky soon entered the lift as the captain told Palmer to get them down.

Captain Lasky: "All right, everyone is in! Bring us all down!"

The commander nodded and tightened her fist to hit the button.

Commander Palmer: "Everyone, hold on!"

She pushed the button and the lift descended downwards, deeper into the shaft. The speed was fast as the group held on as much as they could. Thorne looked to this and wondered if they will make it.

Thorne: "I don't think we can escape! That ship sounds like it was getting closer…"

Carter was next to him and told him that it will be all right.

Carter: "We're going to make it, Thorne. Just hold on for a little longer."

The elevator made an immediate decent into the sewer system as it tried its best being as fast as it could. Soon enough, the lift slowed to a stop and reached the underground sewer tunnels. Once they made an immediate stop, Lasky told everyone to hurry.

Captain Lasky: "This is our stop! Everyone off! We have to get to a safe distance before that ship blows up the facility. Hurry! We are already out of time!"

Everyone started run out of the elevator and through the long tunnel. Still, it wouldn't be that far as the blast radius would be wide enough to destroy them. So they kept on running until they reach a very safe distance.

Outside, the Nemesis slowly reached the facility and was almost under it. The bottom of the ship opened up as the weapon poked out and started to charge up.

Back underground, the soldiers kept on running until they could reach the opening. Lasky saw this and told everyone to get through there.

Captain Lasky: "Over there! That opening can get us out of the tunnel! Move it! Move it!"

The group continued to run to the end as they were tumbling and tripping on each other. Once of them got tripped and fell on the floor. He tried to get up, but couldn't as his leg was spranged during the fall.

"Ah! My leg! I can't get up! Somebody help!"

But everyone ran past him as they were busy with trying not to get themselves killed. But one person stopped to see the soldier down. That person was Paduk as he knew that he couldn't leave a soldier behind. Looking back to the soldiers still running and not paying attention to everything around them. Sighing deeply, he decided to help out. He quickly picked him up and made sure he doesn't fall.

Paduk: "Don't squirm… I can't have you falling again."

He soon ran with the others while carrying the soldier in his arms. They all kept pushing to the end of the tunnel to get into safety.

Back above ground, the Decepticon flagship was already above the building and was fully charged. By the time it was ready, it fired away and the beam came down to the building. When it contacted the building, it soon exploded and everything in and around the building was destroyed and a huge flame of fire spread far and wide. Most of the flames, reach the elevator shaft and it came down it. It then hit the elevator bottom and spread through the tunnel, fast approaching the humans.

At the bottom, the humans reached end and was in one of the tunnels as Palmer told them to keep moving.

Commander Palmer: "Double time it everyone! We have to get out of the blast radius!"

The military personnel rushed out as turned to the left to get out of the way. But by the time most of them were out, they all heard a huge explosion and the ground shaking very violently. The group turned around to see what the commotion was about, only to see a wall of flames charging straight ahead towards them. Their curiosity soon turned into panic as they all rushed out and ran for their very lives. Palmer could see them all going crazy and tried to calm them down.

Commander Palmer: "Everyone stay calm! Do not panic!"

Johnson turned to her and told her that it was a bit too late over all of this.

Sergeant Johnson: "With all due respect, ma'am. It's already too late to calm the masses. Let's get out of here before we get burned to shreds!"

He soon pulled Palmer away and he ran with her, much to the commander's dismay. The soldiers acted like the matadors at the Running of the Bulls as they ran and toppled on top of each other. Paduk was trying not to fall as he was carrying a soldier who sprang his ankle. But with the soldiers freaking out and running out that it was close to impossible. They were pushing and shoving him as he was getting a little upset over this.

Paduk: "Hey! Watch it! Stop pushing me! Careful! Soldier carrying another soldier coming through! Can you at least try not to hit me? Sure beats this."

The soldier that he was carrying looked back and immediately realize why they were acting like that.

"Uh… I think I know why they're running."

Paduk turned to what the soldier was looking at and saw the wall of flames getting much closer. Seeing this, he decided to run as well.

Paduk: "On second thought, perhaps we should get out f there immediately."

Soon enough, he kept on running with the others, getting out of the tunnel as quickly as possible. Soon enough, the rest of the soldiers managed to get out and get away from the blast. Paduk was the last one out as he was out of the tunnel and was about to escape. But by the time he stepped out, he turned back to see the flames getting awfully closer. Knowing it's a little too late to turn and run away. Looking around, he saw the path that's filled with sludge. But deep enough to help protect them. Turning to the soldier, he asked him one thing.

Paduk: "You trust me?"

The soldier looked to him perplexed and nodded out of curiosity. To that end, Paduk tossed him into the sludge pit and he landed on it, looking a little messy on the uniform. Paduk looked back and saw that the flames got awfully close and had little time in avoiding it. So with that short of a window opening, he made an immediate jump and fell into the sludge. The flames blew through the hole and nearly torch the section. Paduk managed to jump away from the blast, only to have half of his face sheered by the heat. He landed on the sludge, and was safe, but he was screaming in pain as half his face was burned. Noble, who got out of the tunnel as well, saw this and checked on their comrade.

Carter: "Paduk!

They all rushed to his side and checked on him. Turning to his back, they got a good look at his face and saw that his face was nearly melted and it still melting. Checking on it, Katherine could see the condition and turned to the Noble Leader.

Katherine: "He's fine. He's just need to help ice up the side of his face. Looks nearly burned."

Carter nodded and turned to Lasky for help.

Carter: "This fallout shelter, how close is it? We need to take him to medical."

Lasky heard that and told him where to go.

Lasky: "Not far. But we need to hurry, it is a long walk from here."

Soon enough, Thorne and Emile lifted him up to carry him to the fallout shelter. Two more soldiers lifted the one with a sprang ankle and carried him to the shelter as well. As they were walking away, Carter was next to Lasky as they were relieved that the firefight is finally over.

Carter: "Well… That was too close for comfort. Didn't think we can get out of that living hellhole."

Lasky nodded as he could tell that was a bad one.

Captain Lasky: "Indeed that was a tough one to call. I'm glad that we managed to escape by the skins of our teeth. But this is just the beginning. With our way out of Jasper locked down, we won't be able to leave. At least we got out of the Decepticon invasion. That's the hard part. Now we go move on to the easy part."

The Noble Leader looked to him and was curious about it.

Carter: "And what pray tale is an easy part?"

That's when Lasky looked on ahead and spoke about it.

Lasky: "Contacting help from the outside."

Back above ground, Shockwave looked on far away to see the sewer treatment facility in shambles and with a huge bonfire in the middle of the building that once stood. Looking onto the end result, he was delighted to accomplish the mission. As soon as he thought that, he heard the sound of Starscream on his audio receptor.

Starscream: "Shockwave… Come in. What's the status of your mission?"

Hearing this, Shockwave explained about his accomplishment.

Shockwave: "I have completed the mission of the eradication of the humans. Though my calculations didn't prepare for their resourcefulness, I was successful never the less."

Scream heard that and delighted with it.

Starscream: "Excellent work… Megatron will be pleased with the news. But you are needed at the citadel post haste. We've made a serious discovery and would require your assistance."

There was a silence as he followed it completely.

Shockwave: "Understood, Starscream. Will return to the Citadel immediately."

As soon as he ended the call, he contacted the intelligence officer for some help.

Shockwave: "Shockwave to Soundwave, bridge me to the Nemesis and return to the fortress. We are done here."

He turned from the destruction and walked away. Just then, a green and blue portal opened up and he stepped through it, only to close behind him. It is when the ship flew overhead and flew back to Darkmount, where Megatron awaits the science officer.

That's the end of chapter ten. Like I said before, sort of overdid it on the action part in this one. But hey, we're only human, so there will be times that we have to go a little overboard to get some really good results. At least I'm lucky that this is the last action chapter and I won't have to over think it all over again. Still, at least this will relax my mind until the next action scene takes place. Now for the final chapter, this will be where the humans and Decepticons are at and will push forward to when Rodimus, Firewall, and Kaosu arrives at Darkmount. A bit of continuity for those that haven't read my season 3 stories/episodes. You'll have a look to see for yourself. Other then that, you will like how I end it.
