Sydney POV
I had a feeling. it was kind of a creepy feeling. Like I was missing something. The feeling ws pulling was pulling me towards the left, towards Rual's room. As I got closer the feeling became stronger, more urgent, more powerful. When I walked through the open door a box on Rual's nightstand was glowing.
"Rual" I called to make sure I was alone. no answer came so I took that as a good sign. Walking towards the glowing box, I started feeling more complete. I started remembering my childhood, my mom my dad. I opened the box and there was a gold cross necklace inside. I picked it up and everything came rushing back to me. Adrian and I's relationship. How Dimitri and I grew up together.
I remember Dimitri's family taking me in after I ran away from my aunt's house after my mom died. I remember how I also ran away from there, not telling anybody not even Christian, Dimitri, and Adrian the people closet to me, to meet my father Richard Rual. How I spent 1 week with before the bastard gave me to his brother, Darken Rual. He clamied it was for my own good, but I knew it was because I looked so much like my mother. I remember my 1st week with Rual, and how he I also went with what he said, until Adrian found me.
I became more and more rebellious towards him, Adrian started losing focus while working with my dad. Of coarse he didn't know that was who he was working with. I though about the short year we had together before Rual, Richard, and Nathan, Adrian's dad hired a Wizard to earse the memories of all the people I loved. That Wizard was my great-grandfather, Zedd. I remember clinging to Adrian as I pleaded with Zedd not to do this. When I saw he wasn't stopping, I turned in Adrian's arms hugging tighter whispering "I love you" over and over again. The last thing I heard was: "I'm so sorry Sage, I love you and I always will."
Waking up in a place I didn't recognize, those words playing over and over in my head. I didn't know who had said them, or why, or when. I remember feeling something in my hand. I looked and it was a note. Opening it I read quickly:
Dear Doc,
Your name is actually Sydney Katherine Sage Rual. Don't ever forget who you are, or how strong, beautiful, and smart you are. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you are not important, because you are, more than you'll ever know. We love you don't ever forget that. Know that we will meet again, no matter what's happen, or how long it's been we'll meet again. I promise.

I wasn't sure who wrote the letter, but I believed the person. I also wasn't sure who Adrian was, but there were those words again. This letter was what got me threw Adrian's engagement party. I knew the person who wrote this was there, don't know how, but I did, and he was. They all were my most trusted friends, Dimitri, Christian, and Adrian. It's just that none of us knew.
Finally the last thing I remembered was the powers I possessed. "Couldn't just leave well enough alone could you" someone said from behind me. I turned around but before I got a good look at who it was someone knocked me out.
Dimitri POV
"I don't even know where to start" I said. Lissa had left and Rose set on my bed with her arms crossed staring icily at me. I looked at Adrian. He gave me a knowing look and I looked back at Rose.
"Are you jealous" I asked her.
"No" Rose scoffed in a very unconvincing voice. I looked at Adrian again and he chuckled, but quickly covered it with a cough when Rose gave him the same icy glare she was giving me. Looking back at her I just smiled.
"What you have something to add" She demanded.
"No Roza nothing to add" I chuckled
"Just tell the story"
"Yes ma'am, ok let's see, well her full name is Sydney Katherine Sage Rual, she prefers Sage since it was her mother's madian name. The reason for that is because she hates her father. Let's see I've know Sydney since she was born, and we've been irresapreable since we were two."
"Wait why does she hate her father so much that she won't even use his last name" Rose interrupted. I opened my mouth, and closed it. I looked back at Adrian again. He looked as clueless as I felt.
"I have absolutely no idea, Syd never really talked about her father, or his side of family. Plus not even knowing his name doesn't help either." I said. Rose looked at Adrian expectantly, and he just shrugged his shoulders helplessly.
"Ok whatever continue."
"Anyway Sydney and I used to do everything together, we were as close or closer than you an Lissa, because we didn't need a bond to tell what the other was thinking, know what the other was feeling, or know where the other was. She's the only person I haven't lied to, ever. Wait before you say anything." I said stopping Rose's protest.
"Yes, I've lied to you, but only so I wouldn't hurt you, and I've never lied about how I feel about you." Rose just gave me an eye roll, as the door burst open.
