Sand

Sand. Oh, how he loathed it.
It got into his eyes, his mouth, his shoes… It played tricks on him with the sun, forging illusions, making him hope he had finally reached his destination, only to laugh at him as the image disappeared and vast, sand-filled horizon was all he could see.
Yet…
What did he do wrong? Didn't he at least deserve a fight with the owner before being cut in two?
Unfair.
… And to be buried in this cursed sand!
