Hey everyone, I know it's been awhile, had some personal stuff to deal with, but here it is, a new chapter for Pan and Vegeta. Please remember to to review and be kind and thank you for all your patience.

Pan didn't remember falling asleep, but when she came to it was already dark outside and moonlight shown in through the window. For a brief moment confusion clouded her thoughts, but as her eyes darted over to the clock on the wall, memories of this afternoon's events came rushing back to her. She remembered the rage on Bulma's face as she'd flung her accusations in Pan's face. And the look of utter disappointment in Trunk's eyes as he'd walked out of her room. A part of her wondered what had happened at the party after she had left with Akari, another part of her was too afraid to find out.

A soft knock sounded on Pan's door and she looked up to see Gohan standing in her bedroom doorway like some dark, ominous cloud.

"Nice to see you're finally awake," Gohan said, taking a step inside the room. "That was an interesting party, huh?"

"That's one word for it," Pan said cautiously.

"So, is there anything you'd like to tell me?"

"Like what?"

Gohan sighed looking down at his daughter. He'd never seen Bulma go after anyone the way she had gone after Pan. And the things she'd said had left Gohan with questions he needed answers to. Answers only Pan could give him.

"Look, I can't pretend to understand what happened today but I can't help but get the feeling that there might be something you aren't telling me."

"I don't know what you're talking about," Pan replied, trying to keep her voice even.

On the inside Pan was screaming. She was not looking forward to this conversation with her father. She wasn't sure she could handle Gohan disowning her for a second time.

"Damm it Pan, don't lie to me. I saw the look on Trunks' face when he came back from dropping you off. Now something is going on here and I want to know what."

"Gohan, leave her alone. It's been a rough day for all of us."

Pan looked up to find her mother standing just outside her bedroom door.

"No Videl, you aren't protecting her this time. She needs to tell us the truth."

"Gohan-"

"No! You convinced me to ask her to come home, I did that. Now something strange has been going on and I want to know what it is. I'm tired of the lies."

Pan looked back and forth between her parents, and could feel a lump forming in her throat. Her father was right. Whether she liked it or not, he was right. She needed to come clean. It was time to stop lying.

"No Mom, Dad's right."

"Pan?"

Videl looked at her daughter with a mixture of concern and worry. She'd always known that Pan was hiding something important from them. Something more than just the identity of her child's father. But after what had happened at the party, she wasn't sure she could handle finding out all of Pan's secrets. She had the feeling that if she did...it would break her heart.

"Dad's right. There is something going on, and it's time I told you the truth...about everything. Starting with something I should have told you a long time ago," Pan said, taking a deep breath. "The father of my children."

"I'm sorry, did you say children?" Gohan said, eyeing his daughter, his rage starting to slowly build.

Videl's gaze shifted between her daughter and husband and back again, Pan's words finally sinking in.

"Oh Pan...you aren't..."

Pan looked up at her mother, meeting the other woman's eyes, and the look on her mother's face broke her heart.

"I'm pregnant."

"Who is it?" Gohan demanded. "Who is the father?"

Pan shifted her gaze to her father, her entire body trembling.

"Vegeta, is the father of my children."

"I'm sorry, could you repeat that?" Gohan said, his ki level rising higher by the second. "Because I could swear that you just said Vegeta."

"I did," Pan said, ears slowly slipping down her cheeks. "Vegeta is Akari's father, and the father of the baby I'm carrying now."

"Pan...you didn't...Vegeta? Pan how could you?" her mother said, fighting back a sob.

"And Bulma knows, is that it?"

"No, she doesn't know. She's always known that Vegeta had a connection to me, she just...she doesn't know how deep the connection runs. That's why she blames me for what happened between them. She thinks Vegeta cast her aside, for me."

"It's what he did isn't it? Tossed her out for you?"

"What? Dad, no!"

"Then how was it Pan? Vegeta is old enough to be your father, hell, he's best friends with your grandfather! And you just...what is wrong with you?" Gohan yelled, advancing on his daughter.

"Dad please, just let me explain!"

"What's there to explain? My daughter not only destroyed her own life but she also destroyed a relationship that has been going on for more years than I can remember!"

"You don't understand!" Pan shouted back.

"There's nothing to understand! I've had it with you Pan!"

Gohan's fist was a blur of motion as he struck outward, knocking Pan backward with enough force that it sent her halfway across the room, crashing into her desk and taking the chair with her to the ground.

"Gohan stop!"

But there was no stopping him. Gohan was lost in his own fit of rage as he lashed out at his daughter again, missing her by mere inches as Videl out herself between her husband and daughter.

"Get out of here Pan," Videl ordered.

"But-"

"No buts. Just take your daughter and go. And this time...this time don't come back," Videl said with a sob.

Pan stared at her mother with wide eyes, the tears falling faster. Of all the people in her life, she never once dreamed that her mother would be the one to turn her away. Getting to her feet, Pan scrambled out of the room and raced down the hall to her daughter's room and scooped the sleeping child up out of the bed.

"Mommy?"

"Shhh. It's okay baby. We're going for a little ride," Pan said through the tears.

Pan raced down the stairs with her precious cargo in her arms, just as her grandfather walked in the front door. Pan froze in her steps, momentarily phased by the sight of her grandfather.

"Pan? Pan, what happened?" Goku asked, his face suddenly serious as he heard the sounds of his oldest son raging upstairs, and his gaze fixed on the fresh bruises on Pan's face.

"They know. I told them and you were wrong Grandpa. They hate me more than ever," Pan said.

"Wait, where are you going?" Goku said, as Pan rushed past him.

"As far away from here as possible."

"Pan wait! Pan!"

But it was too late. His granddaughter was already gone, having flown off into the night, with her daughter clutched tightly to her chest.

It was somewhere around 4:30 in the morning when Vegeta got the call. He was sitting at a row of computer's in the gravitation room when his cell phone began to ring. Wary of the strange number, he picked up the phone.

"Who is this?"

"Vegeta, it's me."

"Pan?"

"I'm sorry, I know it's late, but I couldn't leave without saying goodbye."

"Goodbye? What are you talking about?"

"Vegeta, I'm leaving. I told my parents the truth and ...well, let's just say it didn't go well. So I'm taking Akari, and going home."

"Don't be daft woman. This is your home. You can't leave. Just tell me where you are."

"I can't...I can't do this anymore, I can't keep hurting you, and I can't keep hurting the people I love...Please forgive me," Pan sobbed. "I love you."

"Pan, wait-"

But the line was already dead. The woman he loved, his princess was leaving him again, and he got the feeling that it just might be for the last time.

So what did you guys think? Please remember to review and to be kind. Hope to see you all in the next chapter.
