Ch. 9 Semi Reunion

Kira stared forward while riding beside Panthro in the Thundertank. Panthro can tell something's up with the girl, "You okay kid?" She looks over at the big cat and replies, "Yeah, just miss my family," she grabs the tiger pendent that belongs to her cousin and holds it in her hand, "this belongs to one of my cousins. I found it when I first came here, so maybe they're here." Panthro looks over at the pendent than back to what's ahead of him, "This world is pretty big, I'm sure they're around here somewhere." She smiles, "I hope so, I really need to find them so I know they're okay."

"I'm sure they're fine kid. Don't worry too much."

She nods, "Okay Panthro." She pulls her pendent out of a pocket; the right side is a cheetah face with a ruby eye, the left side is a tiger face with a jade eye. 'Mom…Dad…I miss you both, along with the others.' She puts around her neck, and watches the scenery as they roll by everything. They stop by a small lake and everyone gets out. WilyKit and WilyKat run with Snarf to the water, Kira smiles and follows. WilyKat jumps into the water with his sister right behind. Kira watches, "Be careful you two!" By the Thundertank, Cheetara smiles with Lion-O as they watch the kits and their new friend as they play in the water.

"You like her, don't you Lion-O?" Cheetara smiles watching the lion king blush.

"What? No, of course not…. Maybe?" Lion-O stands there blushing as the cheetah laughs. "It's okay to have a crush Lion-O."

"Hey! You two need to be careful!" Kira yells, watching the kits play around with Snarf in the water. "Huh?" The water in the middle of the lake starts moving towards the kits. "Get out of the way!" The kits look up at Kira then towards the moving water. They grab Snarf and run to the shore, seeing the water will get to them before they can get out of the way. Kira runs into the water and over to them, as she helps them get to shore, a huge mouth surfaces and swallows Kira whole. "Aaaaahhhhh!"

"Kira!" Lion-O runs to the water, but the creature and Kira are gone. The others run over, "What was that thing?" Cheetara watches the water. "I don't know, but we have to save Kira." Lion-O walks back to the shore with the others to start planning.

Meanwhile in the belly of the creature….

"Aaahhh-oof" Kira lands on a half digested boat. She stands up, "Where am I?" "In the belly of whatever this thing is." She turns and smiles knowing that voice. "Chee!"

Standing on part of a boat is her cousin, Chee. His semi long blonde hair pulled in a low ponytail. His normal attire changed to brown shorts, sandals similar to Kira's, and a light brown shirt with dark brown markings on it. Around his waist is a deep brown belt with a ruby on it, his staff is in the back of the belt. "What are you doing getting eaten by giant creatures?"

"I could ask you the same." Kira jumped over to her cousin and hugged him. "Well, right now we need to figure a way out of here." She nods and looks up. "What do we do? We can't just sit here and wait for help."

"You have your whip?" Chee looks at her; she pulls her whip from her belt. "Right here."

"Good, now, this is gonna sound disgusting, but it's our only option. Use your whip to hit the top of its mouth. Hopefully it will throw us up." "Hopefully?" "We really don't have time to figure out another way Kira." "Fine." Kira swings her whip a few times; the end flies to the top and hits. "Get ready Kira!"

With Lion-O and the others….

Tygra and Lion-O are arguing about how to get Kira out of the creature. Cheetara and Panthro watch, shaking their heads. A huge roar pulls their attention to the lake. A green creature surfaces near the shore; it opens its mouth and throws up boats, pieces of boats and finally Kira and Chee.

The creature turns then goes back under. "Kira!" Lion-O yells as he runs over to her. She slowly gets up and looks at Chee. "You may be my cousin, but I will never, NEVER do that again!" She wipes the gunk off of her face, and throws it at her cousin. "Love ya too baby cousin." Chee sits there, and then slowly gets up. "Cousin?" Lion-O looks at Kira, then Chee.

"Yep, from my mom's side, speaking of which, is Uncle Kovu, Ty and Uncle Ling here?"

"I haven't seen any of them, but Ty was with us when we were sent here, so he must be around here somewhere." Chee wipes the gunk off of his face and out of his hair. Panthro walks over to them, "See kid? I told you they would be around here somewhere, and here's one of them." Kira nods. "Yeah, I'm glad we're out of the belly, but now I really want a bath."

"You need one with how bad you smell." Tygra says looking at her, holding his nose. "Hey! You try being eaten by some giant creature then thrown up! See how bad you'll smell!""Okay, enough you two, let's let them take a bath and we'll talk about everything later." Cheetara says standing between the tiger and human girl. "There's a small hot spring for y'all to take your baths." Chee nods, "Yeah, come on Kira. We've been here for a few days, after our baths we'll talk about what all has happened to the both of us."

She sighs, then nods, "Okay….I take first bath!" She runs like lightning to the hot spring. Chee laughs watching his cousin. "Still full of energy just like I remember." Lion-O walks over to Chee. "You're her cousin?" "Yes, one of her two cousins. I'm Chee."

"I'm Lion-O, lord of the Thundercats. This is my brother Tygra, that's Cheetara, Panthro, WilyKit, WilyKat and Snarf." Chee's face turns to one of shock but only for a second. 'They have the names of our friends back home. Interesting.'

"It's nice to meet all of you. I hope you don't mind if I join y'all." He says as he bows slightly. "We don't mind at all. You are Kira's family. So there's no problem there." Lion-O smiles at the human male. 'I need to talk to Kira about this group as fast as I can.' Chee smiles back at the young lion. Tygra watches him, 'There's something up with this guy, I don't know what. But I plan on finding out.'

Later that evening, after Chee and Kira have washed and are now clean. "Kira, may I have a word with you?" "Huh? Sure Chee." They both walk out of the small clearing so no one eavesdrops on them. "What is it?" "This group…"

"So you caught it too? Yeah, I think it's strange that they have the names of our friends and family. Makes it stranger, is that they have a Sword of Omens too." Kira looks at her cousin as they walk farther from the camp. "They don't look like them and they certainly don't look like Thunderians."

"I noticed that too when I first got here. Tafari and the other gods are keeping something from us, I don't know what." She looks at her bracelet. "It's odd, but this might be caused by our history."

"Our history?"

"Millions of years ago, we lived on a planet like no other, it wasn't Thundera. Someone attacked the planet wishing to use our kind as slaves. It was agreed that to make sure the species survived, we were to be split in half." Chee watches the sky as he remembers when he was a cub his father explaining the story to him.

"Split in half? You mean half the species was sent away while the other stayed?"

"Yes. We are descendents of the half that were sent away. That has to be why they look different then our kind. They are the descendents of the half that was enslaved." Chee looks at her, seeing her watching the sunset.

"So while they were enslaved, we escaped and evolved different then they did." "Yes. That's the only explanation I have for it."

"I hope we can find Uncle Kovu, Ty and Uncle Ling."

"We both do Kira. We both do." He says as his arm wraps around her shoulders.

"Now, come on, let's get back before they come looking for us." She nods and follows him back to the camp.

They begin talking about where they were heading and how they would get what they were searching for.
