A/N GUESS WHO'S BACK?
Yeah! Firstly, I do sincerely apologize for not updating in (has it really been two years?) a very long time. I have no excuse other than after Glee ended, my love for the show died too, but I never stopped writing (working on books IRL, my first novel just released on December 14th, so if you're Dutch or from Belgium, buy it! Link is on my profile, just remove the spaces). I was scrolling through some HP/GW fics and then I remembered my own account and this story.
And…I've reread everything. The best thing? I still remember the plot, the characters and where I wanted to go with this story as if no time has passed! So, I've contacted my beta, EmeryFelton, and she was still willing to work with me! Can you believe that? She's amazing *bows down* (EmeryFelton here, commenting "I'M SO GLAD YOU'VE RETURNED!")
Now I know two years is a really (!) long time and I understand if people have moved on, (I did too) but I'm hoping that there are still some Klaine lovers out there reading this story. Since it's been so long, I'll give you a short recap about what has happened so far.
*If you remember everything – well then I really want to borrow your brain someday because WOW your memory is amazing! – Then just scroll down!*
Previously on Broken:
Kurt is abused by his former Dom, Adam (boo!), who beat him and raped him, making Kurt feel worthless. Burt, his father, decides to put him in Dalton because there is a no-bullying policy. There he meets the always-dapper looking Dom Blaine, who is determined to show Kurt that not all Doms are bad.
With the help of his friends Nick, Jeff, Thad, Trent, Wes, Sebastian, and David, Kurt slowly starts to believe again, but he's not there yet. Adam has really messed the poor Sub up.
In the meantime, the other Warblers have their own problems. Jeff wants to Bond with Nick, but Nick is keeping something from him.
Trent is kind of (but not really) forced into working with his enemy Seth, who basically sleeps with everything that walks. Trent really dislikes Seth, but when he starts getting to know Seth, he begins to warm up to him. Due to his tough childhood, Seth is scared to let Trent in. He does think Trent is fuckable, but really doesn't want a relationship with him (he really does though, but he's still in denial. Sssh…)
Anyway on to Sebastian and Hunter. They seem like a solid couple, but there are a few problems. Hunter is determined to win the Championship with his football team (*yawns*), Sebastian doesn't feel safe when he sees Ames (who cares about Ames?) attack Kurt. He's angry when Hunter doesn't seem to support him. They kiss and make up a lot, but how long will that last?
On to the always adorable Thad (God I love him). Thad has secretly had a crush on the boxing champion Travis Brown for years. Thad, being a nerd (his words, not mine) doesn't think he'll stand a chance with Travis and that seems true when Travis sees Kurt for the first time. Travis is determined to make Kurt his. Sadly for Travis, Kurt only has eyes for Blaine. Once Thad starts to help Travis with his homework, they grow closer, but will it ever turn into love? Who knows? (I know but I'm not telling you *evil laugh*)
Speaking of the dapper looking, curly haired Dom (remember him?) Blaine has a few problems of his own. His main issue is his overbearing father, Anton, who runs a lawyer's office. He wants Blaine to become a lawyer as well, but Blaine would rather sing and dance. Also, Anton has big issues with Blaine being gay.
Kurt helps Blaine to stand up to his father and choose for himself. Blaine does break free and moves in with his aunt and uncle (who are amazing BTW), but would Anton really let his youngest son go that easily? Of course not, but I'm not spoiling anything.
Dalton organizes a Christmas ball and Blaine wants to take Kurt. Travis thinks he wants to take Kurt, but he really wants to go with Thad. Of course Jeff wants to go with Nick, but he'd rather Bond with him. Trent and Seth prepare for the cooking competition, which falls on the same day as the Ball, so no kissing and dancing from those two.
Anyway, back to the drama: Blaine has gathered the courage to ask Kurt to the ball. Travis asks Kurt to the ball, but Kurt rejects him. Travis thought he would be devasted, but he finds out he'd rather go with Thad instead. Kurt finds Blaine in the music room on the phone with Anton. He doesn't want to interrupt, so he waits, but then he overhears Blaine saying to his dad that he's just being nice to Kurt because he's new and that they aren't really friends. (*sighs* O Blaine *shakes head*)
Travis is about to ask Thad if he wants to go to the Ball with him when they're interrupted by Kurt. Kurt tells them what happened and asks Travis if he still wants to go to the ball with him. He accepted.
Blaine finds Kurt and tells him finally (finally!) that he's in love with him, while Kurt at the same time tells him he's going to the ball with Travis. Blaine is devastated when he hears that Kurt is going with Travis, while Kurt is in shock that Blaine loves him. Blaine runs dramatically away. Thad is drinking his love for Travis away and hates him (not really!). Blaine stumbles upon him and starts drinking himself. Then he got the idiotic idea to go to the ball together with Thad. That could only lead to more drama and hilarities (right?).
Anyways, I think I've covered it all? If I've forgotten something, please PM me so that I can add it.
Oh! I almost forgot Wes and David! *mentally slaps herself* Wes is obsessed with the Warblers and his gavel, while David follows him everywhere and at the moment it really matters, he falls off stage into the lap of a member of a jury.
That's all *takes a deep breath*. Last but not least, I want to thank my beta EmeryFelton for being so amazing that she still wants to be my Beta. She deserves an award! Let's give her a round of applause, without her this story wouldn't continue!
I hope you really enjoy this new chapter. Please let me know by dropping a review!
Kurt took in his surroundings. Sebastian's room was bigger than his. There was a small living room with a comfortable couch and a TV. Kurt also saw a small kitchen area.
Sebastian sat in a chair, and gestured for Kurt to sit down on the couch. Kurt glanced unsure at Sebastian's Dom, secretly asking for permission. Sebastian saw it. "Relax Kurt, he won't bite. Sit." Kurt obeyed, sitting on the edge, just in case Sebastian was wrong and the Dom did get angry.
Hunter seemed to take the hint. He leaned down, kissed Sebastian on his cheek, and whispered that he'd be in the bedroom and left. He closed the doors behind him and left the two subs to themselves. Kurt stared at the exchange with wide eyes. He could really feel the love from them. He'd never seen Sebastian going all soft and lovesick until his Dom had kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear. 'Why can't I have that?' Kurt silently wondered.
"Tea?" Sebastian held up a cup of hot tea in front of Kurt, who hadn't even realized Sebastian had gotten up to grab something for him.
"Thank you." Kurt took a small sip.
"So, what do you want to talk with me about?" asked Sebastian. He tried to keep his curiosity unnoticed, but failed miserably. Everyone knows he didn't like visitors. Kurt was the first one to enter this room, outside of Hunter obviously. Sebastian and Hunter loved their privacy. Their room was their personal little heaven.
Kurt looked down at his lap, holding the cup against his chest tightly as if the cup could protect him from all the bad in the world.
"That's my favorite cup. If you break it, it's gonna cost you, Hummel." Sebastian drawled.
Kurt's lips twitched up. "You have a favorite cup?"
Sebastian quirked an eyebrow. "I do. Sue me." He knew Kurt was avoiding the topic he was there for, so he waited patiently until Kurt was ready.
"It's... it's about Blaine." Kurt finally spoke up. Sebastian nodded and gave him a reassuring smile. "H-he…said something horrible."
Sebastian tensed, straightening his back. Suddenly he felt extremely protective of Kurt. He knew where Kurt was coming from. He'd been through hell himself. He had nobody when he moved to Dalton for safety. He wouldn't let anyone hurt Kurt. "What? What did he say?"
Kurt looked up at the tense tone in Sebastian's voice. The sub looked ready to fight. "H-he said he loved me."
Sebastian let out a breath of relief, immediately relaxing. He should've known that Blaine would never hurt Kurt on propose. The Dom was so in love it made Sebastian want to throw up. "For God's sake, Kurt. That's a good thing!"
"I-it is?"
"Well, only if you like him back."
Kurt didn't answer. Instead, his cheeks reddened.
"Do you like him?"
"Yes."
"I mean as more than just friends, Kurt." Sebastian pointed out. He smiled friendly at the Sub. He impressed even himself with his patience.
Kurt shrugs. "I - I don't know."
"You two have been throwing heart eyes at each other for months now and you don't know?"
"Seb...I can't go through this again. I just can't." Kurt shivered. "I can't go through a Bond again. Never." He swallowed, hating the tears that threatened to fall and ruin his shirt. "I-I love Blaine, but he can never be mine. Not completely."
"Kurt, Blaine loves you. He would never force you into anything you didn't want," said Sebastian softly, reaching over to squeeze Kurt's hand.
"How could you know that?"
"Because Blaine is one of the good guys."
"I really would like to believe you. That he really loves me, but..." Kurt told Sebastian about the phone call he overheard.
Sebastian frowned. That didn't sound like Blaine at all. "Do you know who Blaine was talking to?"
Kurt shook his head. "H-he said he didn't like me. First he says that we're just friends and the next he says that he loves me? I don't know what to believe anymore."
"Well, what does your heart say?"
Kurt arched an eyebrow. Sebastian rolled his eyes. "Don't believe what you think you've heard, Kurt, or what others have said. Just listen to your heart and you'll know what you want."
Kurt stared at him. Sebastian twisted awkwardly in his seat. "What?" he snapped.
Kurt's lips twisted up in a shy smile. "You're extremely good at giving advice for a guy that doesn't do feelings."
Sebastian huffed. "If you ever tell that to anyone, I'll bring you down with me, Hummel, just so you know." Kurt hid a smile behind his cup of tea. Sebastian saw that he was still in doubt. "Kurt, I can't give you better advice. It's up to you now. Talk to Blaine."
Kurt swallowed. He wasn't ready to talk to Blaine yet. He didn't know what to say. Nobody, other than his dad, had ever told him that he loved him. Did he love Blaine? Maybe. He liked being with him. He couldn't get him out of his mind, but what did he know about love?
Once he thought he found love too, and that turned out to be a disaster. He didn't want to put himself through that again. He didn't think he'd survive it. "I need some time to think. Maybe after Thanksgiving I'll have an answer."
Sebastian gave him a soft smile. "Take your time. Blaine won't walk away."
"How do you know?"
"Because he's Blaine. He's loyal. Even if you don't share his feelings, he'll stay by your side. He's a good friend."
Before Kurt could ask anything further, Hunter appeared in the doorway of his bedroom. "Blaine Anderson? Are you talking about Blaine Anderson?"
"Not again," muttered Sebastian under his breath, rolling his eyes, annoyed.
Hunter ignored his sub, his eyes locked on Kurt. Kurt felt really uncomfortable and wanted to leave. His eyes were on the only exit. His body tense, he was ready to flee. "Don't get yourself involved with Blaine. He's an Anderson and everyone knows Anderson's only use you until they've had enough of you and then they toss you aside."
"Leave Kurt alone, Hunter," Sebastian snapped. "Blaine is a good guy."
Hunter growled. "Is he? Why don't you go sleep with him if you're so fond of him?"
Sebastian tensed. His face paled.
Kurt cleared his throat and jumped to his feet. "I, um, I better go. It's already pretty late." He gave Sebastian an apologetic look, but Sebastian's eyes were firmly on his Dom. He didn't appear to notice Kurt. Kurt felt guilty for ruining Sebastian's night. Sebastian had given him good advice and what did Kurt do? Ruin his relationship with his Dom!
Kurt felt like he should still say something. "I uh…"
"Just go, Kurt," Sebastian gave him a hard, cold stare that made his insides twist uncomfortably. Kurt opened his mouth to protest. "GO!"
Kurt didn't need to be told twice. He fled to the door, running all the way to his room. Only when he was in his own room could he breathe again. He let himself fall on his bed, his mind filled with the words that were said that day. Hunter's last words were all he heard as he closed his eyes and fell into a restless sleep.

"Where are you going?" Hunter followed Sebastian into their bedroom. Sebastian chose to ignore his Dom, grabbed a bag and began throwing clothes in it. "Sebastian?"
"I'm leaving."
"What? You can't just leave."
"Oh no? Watch me." Sebastian threw a few random sneakers in his bag. He didn't really care what he was taking. He wanted to get away from Hunter as soon as possible. He had gone too far. Sebastian had had enough.
"Seb," Hunter stepped forward, but froze when he saw Sebastian give him a deadly look.
"How dare you suggest that I should sleep with another Dom?!" Sebastian's eyes filled with rage and hurt. "Is that what you want, Hunter? For me to just knock on Blaine's door and…" He was interrupted by a loud growl from Hunters throat.
The Dom looked absolutely livid. "You're mine!"
"Well, if you keep it up like this, then I won't be any longer."
Hunter stumbled backwards until his back hit the wall. It felt as if Sebastian had ripped out his heart. He swallowed against the heavy lump in his throat. "What do you mean?"
"Why can't you be a little bit more like Nick? He's supporting Jeff through everything. I've told you about the trouble Ames caused, the danger he is to Subs, but you're not willing to fight to keep me – and others – safe. All you think about is winning the championship of a stupid little game called Football. I thought what we had was more important."
"We are. Sebastian, you are the most important person in my life. You know that." Hunter fought against the tears in his eyes. He didn't want to cry because that goes against everything his Dom side was, but he couldn't help it. Sebastian was about to leave him, and this time it wasn't a joke. He could see it in his sub's demeanor.
Sebastian grabbed his bag and turned towards Hunter. "Prove it."
Hunter swallowed. "I don't know what you want from me, Sebastian."
"Fight for me. Like I've fought my whole life. Till then, I'll sleep somewhere else." Sebastian brushed past him and walked right out of the door without looking back once, leaving Hunter to fend for himself.

Blaine groaned. His head hurt like hell. He slowly opened his eyes. The sun was shining down on him, blinding him. He quickly turned his back to the bright light that seemed to make his headache worse. Slowly the memories of the last few hours came back. The Winter Ball. Kurt. Travis. He had told Kurt he'd loved him…but Kurt loved Travis.
Blaine swallowed, but his mouth was too dry. He suddenly wished he had a bottle of beer in his hand. He didn't know how he could ever face Kurt again. He'd ruined their friendship. Didn't everybody warn him to take it slow?
But what did he do? He just couldn't wait. He wanted to make Kurt his. He gave in to his Dom instincts that were screaming at him to claim the pale beauty as his own. He should've known that Kurt liked Travis. What was not to like about Travis?
He was perfect. Tall, handsome and a fucking boxing champion. How was he ever supposed to compete with that? He was just a lonely rich kid that bought his way into Dalton.
A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts of self-loathing. Blaine wasn't in the mood for company. Unless it was Kurt.
Kurt. His sweet Kurt. From now on he'll be parading around school with Travis on his arm. Together they would be the It couple. Blaine's stomach turned and he felt like throwing up, but his body refused to move.
The knock got louder. "Blaine, open the damn door!"
It was Wes. He really couldn't handle Wes right now. "Blaine, Warbler practice ended a half hour ago and you missed it." Another loud bang.
"Wes, maybe he isn't in there. Nobody has seen Blaine today." David's voice sounded worried.
The words slowly sank into Blaine. Warbler practice? Warbler practice isn't until late in the afternoon. Suddenly he jumped to his feet and ran towards the window. He couldn't believe it. He'd slept all day. He missed all of his classes, as well as Warbler practice. Blaine glanced at the clock on the wall. His shift at Rosa's dinner starts in an hour.
Blaine sank on his bed, ignoring the knocking on his door. He'd rather hide away under his blankets for the rest of his life, so that he never has to see Kurt again, but he knew he wouldn't get away with it. He could probably hold Wes off for the day, but Aunt Rosa wouldn't be so easy. She'd come and get him herself if he didn't show up.
Blaine waited until Wes and David finally gave up, jumped in the shower and got dressed. Within fifteen minutes, he was sitting in his car, driving to work.
Xxx
After Kurt had woken up, he took a long hot shower to get ready for classes. He decided to skip breakfast. He didn't think he could keep anything down anyways. Luckily, that day he had Sub classes, which meant he wouldn't be seeing Blaine until the Warbler practice in the late afternoon.
Maybe he could skip that too. Kurt sighed, turning off the hot shower. He knew he was making up excuses to avoid Blaine, but he simply wasn't ready to face the Dom. He didn't know how to respond. Everything felt different.
Kurt got dressed and was just adjusting his scarf when someone knocked on his door. He froze. There was only one person who would knock on his door in the morning. Blaine took him to breakfast and walked with him to his classes every morning. Kurt swallowed. His heart picked up speed and he was sure that everyone in the school could hear his heartbeat.
Another knock. Kurt sighed. Straightening his back, Kurt walked as confidently as he could to the door. Taking a deep breath, Kurt swung the door open.
"Good morning, Kurt!" Travis greeted him with a big smile on his face, but Kurt noticed his eyes didn't smile back. The Dom looked like he hadn't slept at all.
"Travis?" asked Kurt surprised, Travis was the last person he expected to greet him in the morning.
"I noticed you weren't at breakfast this morning and as a sportsman, I know how important it is to take good care of yourself, so I've brought you a chocolate muffin and a cup of chocolate cream cappuccino." Travis handed him the muffin and the cappuccino.
"Thank you, Travis. You shouldn't have." Kurt took a sip of his cappuccino. It was exactly what he needed.
"So, do you mind if I walk you to your classes? We can talk about what we're going to wear to the ball. Oh and don't worry about it, I'll pay."
"Oh, you don't have to. I-"
"I really want to," interrupted Travis gently, his eyes kind. His Dom side was nearly spinning at the idea of spoiling a Sub rotten. He had been single for so long, he was longing to Bond. Even though he hadn't slept at all because he couldn't stop thinking about Thad. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw Thad. It was driving him crazy. Kurt would be the perfect distraction.
Besides, he was taking Kurt to the ball, not Thad. Just like he planned. He just thought he would be happier about it. That's all.
"So, care to join me?" He stretched his hand out to Kurt, who had a shy smile on his face.
"I would love to." He accepted Travis' hand and together they walked down the hall. Kurt scanned his surroundings nervously as they walked to his first class. His eyes searching for gold brown hazel eyes and dark hair.
But Blaine never appeared; not between classes, not at lunch, not even to the Warbler meeting. Kurt became really worried. What if something had happened to Blaine? Something really bad?
Blaine loved – despite Wes' obnoxious obsession with the glee club - the Warblers. He wouldn't skip it if there wasn't something wrong.
Kurt wasn't the only one who thought Blaine's absence was worrisome. Wes almost had a heart attack when he discovered Blaine wasn't there and they spent the hour they usually used to practice songs on calming him down. It didn't work. After the Warbler meeting was over, Wes disappeared into the busy hallway, closely followed by David.
Blaine also didn't show up to dinner. Kurt began to suspect that it was because of him and he felt guilty. He wasn't worth Blaine starving himself to death, but Kurt didn't have the courage to go search for Blaine. He was still confused about his feelings and what had happened between them. He wished everything could turn back to normal. He hadn't seen Blaine one day and he already missed him. His heart ached for him.
After dinner, Travis asked if Kurt wanted to join him in the library to do some homework. Kurt accepted. Anything was better than being alone with only his thoughts for company. In the library, they found Thad, Trent, Nick and Jeff.
The boys all had their heads together. Kurt was about to walk up to them when he heard his own name.
"Do you really think this has anything to do with Kurt?" Trent whispered.
"It has to. Nothing else could rile Blaine like this," Nick said.
"I don't like this," Jeff pouted.
'Me neither,' Kurt thought. He was about to turn around and leave when Travis grabbed his hand and lead them to the four boys.
"Hey guys!" Travis greeted loudly, completely oblivious that the four had just been gossiping about Kurt. As soon as his eyes landed on the small form of Thad, he forgot everything around him. With every step, he heard his inner Dom chanting: 'Mine! Mine! Mine!' He really had to restrain himself not to claim the sub right there and then.
The four boys turned around, their eyes wide and alarmed when they noticed them. Their cheeks turned red once they saw Kurt and they refused to look at him. Kurt swallowed. It felt as if he were right back at McKinley, when he was still bullied due to his sexuality or the way he dressed. He felt like an outsider all over again.
Travis didn't notice anything, his eyes firmly on Thad. "Hi, Thad."
"Hi," Thad greeted softly, then he turned his back towards him.
"Mind if I sit here? Kurt and I wanted to study." Travis let go of Kurt's hand and quickly sat down next to Thad before he could protest. He took the books out of his bag. There was an awkward silence as Kurt sat opposite of him, also grabbing his books.
"We actually have to go," Jeff quickly got up off Nick's lap.
"We do?" Nick asked surprised.
Jeff gave him a look. "Yes, we do." He gestured to the door with his head, quickly grabbed his and Nick's books together and fled the library, followed closely by a confused Nick.
Trent frowned. "What's up with Jeff?"
Kurt sighed. "It's because of me, I think."
"Don't be crazy. Why would Jeff flee because of you?" Trent arched a perfectly manicured eyebrow. "He loves you."
Kurt wasn't in the mood for smooth talk. He was really worried about Blaine. He couldn't deal with the fact that his friends thought that Blaine's disappearance was because of him. "I heard you, Trent. You were gossiping about me."
Trent froze, his face pale. He quickly glanced over at Thad who kept his eyes firmly on his math book, trying to ignore the Dom next to him. Trent turned towards Kurt again. "We don't think it's your fault, Kurt, but you're involved in something that has to do with Blaine. It's all in the gossip magazine."
Kurt stared at him in disbelief. "In the what?"
Trent sighed and slumped his shoulders. He really didn't want to be the one who told Kurt about this. He'd already thought the Sub hadn't seen it yet since he'd been so relaxed all day. Nobody would be as chill if their picture were in a high school rag mag. "Someone posted pictures of you and Blaine walking in the mall. It's in the newspaper."
Kurt's mouth fell to his ankles. His head was spinning. He felt sick. "I'm in a magazine?" he squeaked. His voice abnormally high, even for him.
"Yes, as a potential love interest of probably the most desired Dom of this century." Trent took a deep breath then he ducked and pulled the magazine out of his bag. He threw it in front of Kurt. "Page 20."
Kurt swallowed and turned to page 20. Trent was right. There were pictures of Blaine and him at the mall. Talking, laughing and holding hands. If Kurt didn't know any better, he, too, would think they were dating. Above the pictures, there was a bold text saying: "Is Blaine Anderson off the hook?"
Kurt's eyes wandered over to the text below.
"It looks like Blaine Anderson, youngest son of the famous lawyer Anton Anderson, and one of the most desired young Dominants of Westerville has finally found a Sub. If you still doubt, then just have a look at the pictures. The handsome Dom is obviously in love."
Kurt's eyes drifted back to the pictures and studied Blaine's face. Did he really look like he was in love? Kurt couldn't tell – he didn't dare to think – because to him, Blaine looked the same way he always did when he saw him.
"This is huge because Blaine has never showed any affection towards a Sub in public and he's always been a very private person, refusing to answer any personal questions. Of course, we've tried to get a comment from the Anderson residence, but the whole family is keeping their mouths shut. We don't know who the unknown, underdressed Sub is, but we'll find out everything about him soon. Stay tuned."
Kurt couldn't breathe. A group of subs walked in. Their eyes immediately found Kurt. He swallowed heavily, turning his eyes to his book. "I… I had no idea Blaine was magazine material. We aren't – I mean, we're… I barely know him."
"Don't let it get to you, Kurt. Last year, they also placed pictures of me and Blaine going out for a walk," Trent rolled his eyes and grabbed the magazine, putting it back in his bag. "They just want to gossip about something. Blaine is the son of the most powerful lawyer in Westerville. He isn't a rock star. This will pass in a few days."
Kurt really hoped Trent was right. He used to dream about being in a magazine, except as a Broadway star. Not as someone's boyfriend. It was a lie anyway. Nobody would take this seriously because why would Blaine fall for someone like him?
Travis cleared his throat, wanting to change the subject. "So, who are you going to take to the Christmas ball?"
"I am not going. Cooking competition remember?" Trent answered, a little annoyed. "I wish I never signed up though. Seth isn't exactly the most reliable partner to work with. Speak of the devil…" He jumped up when he saw Seth walking into the library, ignoring them completely and walking straight to the table in the back. "I have to go. Bye."
Trent was gone before Kurt could even blink.
Travis leaned towards Thad. Thad tried not to get effected by the presence of the Dom, but he couldn't ignore him any longer and looked up. "So Thad, how about you?"
"What about me?" Thad hated how his body still reacted to the Dom's presence. His heart was beating painfully against his ribs and his palms were sweaty.
"Have you already found a date to the ball?"
"Yes." Thad quickly averted his eyes to his math book. To his satisfaction, he saw Travis look at him with a stunned expression. 'Ha, he probably thought I couldn't get a date. Wait till he hears I'm going with one of the most popular Dom's that ever walked the grounds of Dalton.'
It took a moment before Travis' brain digested the words. He couldn't believe Thad had a date. Correction, he didn't want Thad to have a date to the ball. He wanted to be the one in Thad's arms that night.
Of course Thad would've found a Dom by now. He was adorable, cute, funny, smart and in his own way really sexy. Travis' felt his Dominant grow stronger at the news. He wasn't happy. He was basically screaming at him. 'He's mine! Nobody gets to touch him!'
Travis clenched his hands into fists. His body tense. He would destroy the one who dared to lay a finger on Thad. He tried to take a deep breath and calm down. It didn't help. He needed to know who was going to lay a hand on what was meant to be his. "With who?"
"Blaine."
Kurt stiffened. The ground underneath his chair seemed to disappear and swallow him into a black hole. The air around him grew thick which made it hard to breathe. He was sure his ears had tricked him. Thad and Blaine? That couldn't be.
But when he looked up at Thad's face, he knew it was true. He should've believed him. Thad wouldn't lie.
"Blaine?!" Travis stared at Thad in disbelieve. Kurt jumped up, said he had to go and ran out of the library, leaving his books behind. Travis barely noticed. "You're going with Anderson?"
"Yes," Thad gathered his books. "I'm done here, so you have the table to yourself." He got up and stalked out of the library.
Travis jumped up and followed him. "You can't go to the ball with Anderson!"
Thad spun around so fast that Travis almost bumped into him. "And why can't I? He asked me, I said yes. That's what you normally do when you're asked to a ball. Besides," He averted his eyes to the ground. "Nobody else has asked me and Blaine is a nice guy."
"So you like him?" Travis felt as if the air had been crushed from his lungs, making it hard to breathe.
"Of course," said Thad calmly. 'As a friend,' he added in thought. "Otherwise I would've said no. I really have to go, Travis. Good luck studying."
Travis opened his mouth, but words failed him. Everything failed him as he speechlessly watched Thad walk away. His knees gave out and he fell to the ground. He couldn't believe he lost Thad to Blaine.
First Kurt and now Thad?
This couldn't be happening. Travis clenched his hands into fists. If Anderson thought he could just steal Thad away from him, he's mistaken. He was prepared to fight for what he desired most. He was done playing nice.
Xxx
"Hi. Where have you been? It's like you've been avoiding me." Trent sat down next to Seth.
Seth closed his eyes, biting his lip. He hadn't slept at all. His mind kept replaying what had happened when Trent took his hand. He didn't want to feel that way about Trent. He didn't want to feel that way about anyone, but especially about Trent. Trent was his enemy. He used to rile him up so much that Trent would want to strangle him with his bare hands.
He wasn't suppose to feel those feelings about Trent. Trent was off limits.
Yeah right, tell that to his body. After he returned yesterday they quickly said goodbye and both retreated to their rooms. Seth took a long cold shower. He needed it. After that he tried to relax a bit. When that didn't work, he went in search of an easy Sub, to release the tension in his body and to push Trent out of his mind.
It didn't work. He couldn't do it and turned the Sub away after he threatened him that if he ever told anyone what had happened, he'd beat him to pulp. He had a reputation to uphold, after all. Oh who was he kidding?
He didn't want Trent to hear he couldn't perform anymore. What if it had nothing to do with Trent? What if it was really over? Seth shivered at the thought, cursing loudly, blaming Trent for all of his problems.
Seth managed to avoid Trent all day, an easy task since he only had Dom classes. He skipped the Warblers because he knew he would lose it if he saw Trent. He'd thought that a little study session would set his mind somewhere else, but he didn't count on Trent being there too, his scent almost sending Seth over the edge. His Dom side was wide awake now.
'This can't be good' Seth thought.
"Avoiding you? Why would I?" He gave Trent a quick lookover because he simply couldn't resist. Trent was wearing a light blue Oxford shirt, dark jeans and he was a having a typical "bed hair" day which, in all honesty, made him only more desirable. Seth quickly averted his eyes.
Trent shrugged. "I don't know. So, Seth, about yesterday-"
"I don't want to talk about it," Seth interrupted, now he looked up and gave Trent a stern look.
"Not even if I found the solution to free your sister?"
Now Trent had Seth's full attention, his raging hormones gone. This was serious. Lily meant everything to him. "You have?"
Trent nodded. "I've done some digging, a little investigating, with the help of a friend." Thad hadn't been too happy being awakened by Trent at two in the morning.
Seth tensed. "A friend?"
"Don't worry. I haven't told him the details. He doesn't know about the abuse." A sad look crossed Trent's face. "Talking about rules and child support was enough to convince him. Anyways, we've discovered that if you testify and find a good lawyer you could make a case against your father and start an investigation. Are you ready to testify? I know it would be hard, but you're the only one who can put your father behind bars and save your sister."
Seth swallowed against the lump in his throat. He couldn't believe Trent had found something that might actually work. He could stop his father, make him pay for what he did to him and save Lily. He felt a warm hand on his own. He hadn't even noticed that his hand was curled into a fist. He pulled his hand away as if he'd been burned. He didn't notice the flash of hurt in Trent's eyes at the movement.
"There's only one problem, though."
"Like?"
"I can't pay for a lawyer."
"I covered that too."
"What? How?"
"Blaine."
"What? Blaine isn't a lawyer." Seth briefly wondered if he missed something. No, Blaine was a student. He couldn't get a law degree in one day. Even though his daddy was rich enough to pay for that. Suddenly he realized what Trent planned to do. "You mean Blaine's father? Why would one of the best and most expensive lawyers want to help us?"
Trent shook his head. "I am not talking about his dad." Seth looked even more confused. Trent paused a moment to take that in. Seth really looked cute when he was out of his comfort zone and didn't behave like an ass. Like a lost puppy. And Trent would love to be the one who led him to the right path.
"Anton isn't the only lawyer in the family. Blaine's uncle studied law and has a degree. I've met him a couple of times. He's really nice."
Seth was dumbfounded. Trent had sacrificed a good night's sleep to help him and his sister. He owed him, big time. He would probably be in Trent's debt for the rest of his life. He didn't care though. He could finally save Lily. That was all that mattered. "Ok. Where can we find Blaine's uncle? I don't know if you've heard, but Blaine seems to have disappeared into thin air."
Trent gave him a dark smile. "We don't need Blaine for this. I know where his uncle is. Let's go." He grabbed Seth's hand, pulled him up and hurried out of the library.
Seth followed, willingly. His whole body was aware of Trent's soft hand in his. Warmth spread through his body and his Dom side wasn't the only one who was waking up. He really, really could use a cold shower right now.

"Is it just me, sweetie, or does it look like our beloved nephew is a little dim, today?" Rosa leaned over the counter, watching how Blaine sulked in a chair. It was a quiet night at the diner.
"What gave it away? The way he chased our only guests for the night away with his glares and shouts?" Robert sighed, wrapping his arms around Rosa's waist, holding her close against his chest. "I know he doesn't mean it, honey, but if he continues like this, we'll lose all of our customers."
"I don't understand. He had been looking so happy lately." Rosa's heart cried seeing Blaine so broken. The boy had never had an easy life, but it looked like lately his future was looking a little better. Thanks to a certain, beautiful Sub.
"I've heard from some Dalton students that were here earlier that there would be a Christmas ball this year at Dalton."
"Aha!" Rosa's eyes sparkled. "But that's great! Blaine can finally ask that boy out!"
"I think that might be the reason he's so down, Rosa."
"Oh." Rosa's face fell. "Poor Blaine. How do we cheer him up?"
"I don't think we can, honey. Only time can heal a broken heart. I'll go clean up. I don't think we'll get anymore costumers tonight." Robert gave her a kiss and disappeared into the kitchen, leaving Blaine and Rosa alone.
Rosa strode over to the table where Blaine was sulking and sat down opposite him. Blaine noticed the look of pity in her eyes and turned his head away. "Want to talk about it?"
"No."
"So, I've heard that there will be a Christmas ball at Dalton this year. Have a date yet?"
Blaine sighed. Knowing that Aunt Rosa wouldn't quit before she knew everything, he told her about his disaster asking Kurt out. After hearing him, Aunt Rosa didn't say anything. She just shoved a big piece of pie in front of his face.
"I shouldn't eat this, Aunt Rosa. I'll get fat."
"Who cares? You need it." She winked, gave him a kiss on the cheek, and whispered "Everything is going to be fine" and disappeared into the kitchen.
Blaine stared at the pie. It really looked quite edible. Knowing Aunt Rosa's food, it was probably delicious. The pie stared back. It was a real staring competition. Blaine gave in and lost. He took a big bite when the door opened.
He choked when he saw who had just stepped in. "Cooper."
Blaine couldn't even remember when his brother last stepped a foot inside Rosa's diner. With his Armani suit and his brown hair neatly tamed upon his head, he really looked out of place.
"Blaine," Cooper nodded towards his younger brother. "Can I sit down?" He pointed at the empty chair where Rose had sat a few minutes ago.
"Sure." Blaine watched how Cooper walked towards him and sat down. Immediately his mind drifted to his parents. "What happened? Is something wrong with mom or dad? Did dad send you?"
Cooper stiffened, straightening his back. His eyes roved around the little diner, a look of disgust on his face. Blaine scowled. Aunt Rosa had worked hard to get this diner up and running. She'd been nothing but kind to Cooper and always invited him over when Blaine stayed there, but Cooper always refused. She deserved some respect.
His eyes lingered on the pie in front of Blaine. He could see his older brother drooling. Even Cooper remembers Rosa's cooking. Nobody could resist her food.
"Want a bite?"
"I should've known you'd be hiding here." Cooper turned his eyes to Blaine, ignoring his question.
"I'm not hiding. Dad kicked me out. Uncle Robert and Aunt Rosa were kind enough to take me in." Blaine crossed his arms in front of his chest. "What do you want, Coop?"
"Mom really misses you. She's devastated by you suddenly leaving."
"Really? Well, why isn't she here, begging me to come home? Instead she sends you." Blaine couldn't hide the bitterness of his tone, not that he wanted to. He didn't really care what his family thought of him. He would never be enough no matter how hard he tried.
"She didn't send me."
"Wow. So, you did this on your own then? Off leash?" Blaine mocked.
Cooper glared at him, his blue eyes darkened. "You can joke all you want, Blaine, but your unreasonable behavior is destroying Mom. She doesn't eat, she just lays in bed, staring at the ceiling."
Blaine swallowed at the thought of his mom starving in a dark room, crying herself to sleep at night. It wasn't her fault his father was a dick. However it was her fault that she never defended him and left him to his own devices. She's his mother. She should've been there for him. No matter what.
"She's not the only one, you know." Cooper saw that his words hit Blaine and decided to go on while the wounds were still fresh. "We all miss you."
Blaine snorted. "Yeah right. Dad too, huh?"
"Yes he does."
"He has an odd way of showing it."
"Damn it, Blaine!" Cooper slammed his fist on the table, the pie shaking from the impact. Blaine tensed, his Dom instincts on high alert, ready to pounce. "You know him better than anyone. He's been so hard on you because he loves you more than me. You know that!"
"What are you talking about? He hates me because I'm gay!" hissed Blaine through gritted teeth.
"He doesn't care about you being gay. Nobody does. You're the only one who's making a big deal out of that."
"Yeah right, Coop, only in your dreams. My whole life I've been fighting for his approval. All my life I've heard that I'm not enough. Weird way of showing his love, don't you think?"
"I agree, Blaine, but it's dad. He's hard on you because he believes in you. He wants you on the top of your game. Thanks to dad, you've become a fighter."
"I can't believe you're saying all this. Cooper, he abused us. Not physically, but mentally, and that's wrong. A dad shouldn't treat his sons like garbage."
There fell an uncomfortable silence.
"Dad has changed, Blaine."
"Oh Yeah? He's suddenly wearing an apron and started cooking?"
"Don't be so sarcastic. He really regrets his behavior towards us. Yes, he still wants you to be a part of the company instead of dancing around on stage, but he's really trying, Blaine. We want mom to be healthy again. Don't you?"
Blaine averted his eyes to his pie. Suddenly it didn't look so delicious anymore. "Of course I do. Mom didn't do anything wrong."
"Exactly, so why are you punishing her by staying away? We need to be together, Blaine, we're family. "
"I'm not going back. I live with Aunt Rosa and Uncle Robert now. I have a job, and my own life."
"I understand and I respect that. Just like father does."
Blaine narrowed his eyes, not believing that last one. "He does?"
Cooper nodded, a faint hint of a smile on his face. "You should've seen him when he saw those pictures of you and that…boy. He's beside himself with anger and he's chasing down the photographer."
Blaine rolled his eyes. "I can imagine he wouldn't be happy that his gay son is in a magazine with a boy."
"It's not about that, Blaine. He was angry because he found it a breach of your privacy."
Blaine looked stunned, his jaw dropped. "He's protecting my privacy?"
Cooper shrugged. "I already said he's changed. He even hired a new assistant who'll be handling our personal affairs. He comes all the way from London and he's the best. You should meet him."
There fell a comfortable silence between the two brothers when the conversation came to a halt. They had nothing to say. When they were younger, before Cooper started law school, they both shared the same dream. Cooper wanted to become an actor while Blaine just wanted to sing. They dreamed about going to New York together.
Anton Anderson soon ended all those dreams and crushed it with his bare hands by demanding Cooper, and now Blaine, to go to law school, so they could take over the company one day.
Blaine became aware that this conversation was probably the first proper conversation he had had with his brother in years. He missed his brother, the old Coop. He hated the new Coop, which was really just a replica of his dad.
Cooper cleared his throat, standing up. Blaine followed. "I really should go. Cora's waiting in the car. Come to Thanksgiving, Blaine. Mom… we miss you and you're more than welcome."
"I'll think about it."
They stood awkwardly opposite each other, then Cooper turned around and left. Aunt Rosa appeared, stopping when she saw Cooper's back. She looked stunned, her eyes wide. "Was that –?"
"Cooper? Yes. He asked me to celebrate Thanksgiving with them, but I would much rather stay with you and Uncle Robert."
Aunt Rosa's face softened. "Did he say anything about your parents?"
Blaine shrugged. "Just that mom isn't eating and missed me. Dad too. I found that hard to believe."
"Why? I know he isn't the easiest man, but he's your father. I would die if I was in his shoes and saw my son as little as you see your parents."
"So, you think I should go?" Blaine asked.
"You could always try. If it doesn't work out then food is still waiting for you here." Aunt Rosa pulled him in a hug. "It's Thanksgiving, Blaine. A time for forgiveness. Maybe you should give your dad another chance. He might surprise you."
Blaine sighed. "I'll think about it. Thank you, Aunt Rosa. I don't know what I'd do without you."
"You're welcome, honey. Clean the table up and go to bed. We're closing up. You look tired." Aunt Rosa walked to the door to lock up while Blaine cleaned the table when the door opened and Trent and Seth came in.
"Trent? Seth?" Blaine walked towards Trent. He looked excited about something. Aunt Rosa looked confused.
"Hi, Blaine," greeted Trent a little shyly. He hadn't expected Blaine to be here and suddenly it looked silly to ask help from his uncle. He barely knew the man, but he was their only hope to free Lily.
"Seth," Blaine nodded towards the Dom who nodded back, but said nothing. Blaine turned towards Trent. "It's a little bit late to eat, Trent. We're about to close up."
"We're not here to eat, Blaine. We need your uncle's help with something. Is he here?"
"Oh, uh, he's in the back."
"I'll get him." Aunt Rosa disappeared into the kitchen only to return a moment later with Uncle Robert on her arm.
His dark eyes glanced over to the unexpected pair in front of him. Their hands were firmly locked. Trent, who he knew to be as one of Blaine's friend, greeted him warmly, but the Dom barely reacted. Immediately Uncle Robert noticed it wasn't because he was impolite and rude, but because he was nervous about something. They weren't holding hands because they were a couple, but they were holding hands because without Trent, the Dom would fall apart.
"What can I do for you, guys?" Uncle Robert asked, friendly.

Uncle Robert and Aunt Rosa listened to Seth's story with calm expressions on their faces, but when Seth talked about the abuse and the danger his little sister was in, they both grew angry. How dare a father do that to his own children? That man should be locked up.
After Seth told his story, he grew silent, closing in on himself. Trent squeezed his hand, giving him a reassuring smile and turned towards Mr. Anderson. "Do you think you can help us, Mr. Anderson?"
"Sure we can!" spat Aunt Rosa before Uncle Robert could answer. Her eyes were on fire. "That bastard is going down." Her face softened when she turned towards Seth. "Don't worry, Seth. My husband will get your sister out of there in no time. He's the best."
Seth looked grateful. Blaine was really lucky to have these two wonderful humans in his life. He wished he had someone like that in his life. "Thank you, Mrs. Anderson."
"Call me Rosa, honey. Want something to eat?"
"You better say yes, or she'll force some food down your throat anyway," Robert teased with a happy glint in his eyes. Aunt Rosa playfully slapped his arm, turned around and retreated towards the kitchen.
"You really think you can help me?" Seth still wasn't convinced. Nobody ever helped him. Why would two strangers who didn't even know him want to help him?
"Of course. I'll get on it immediately. I can't promise anything, Seth, but I'll try to get your sister out of there before Christmas."
"Thank you," Seth said sincerely. Getting Lily out of there would be amazing, but that didn't solve his other problem, because once his dad was in jail, awaiting his trail, where were they supposed to go? Lily couldn't live in his dorm room. They would end up on the street.
A warm hand on his shoulder shook him out of his thoughts. He looked up to stare at Trent's beautiful blue eyes. His heart skipped a few beats. "I told you they would help us. Everything is going to be okay. You'll see."
Seth wished he had the same trust in these people as Trent had, but he learned a long time ago that people couldn't be trusted. He really hoped he'd be wrong about the Anderson pair.
"Tada, food!" Aunt Rosa appeared with a huge chocolate ice cream cake. Trent nearly fainted when he saw so much food porn at once. Seth kept him on his feet by laying his hand on his back just in time.
His hand stayed there even as they ate. For some unknown reason, Seth didn't want to break contact and Trent didn't complain either.

Days flew by and before Kurt knew it, it was time to go home for Thanksgiving. He'd seen Blaine walk through the hallways, in their shared classes and during Warbler practice. He was relieved that he seemed to be okay, but he didn't interact with Kurt. He didn't acknowledged his existence at all. Kurt tried to not let it get him down because Blaine was drawing away from everyone.
Blaine was silent. He didn't laugh or talk or sing. Every time Wes wanted to practice the solo song for Sectionals, Travis took the lead and Blaine didn't do anything to stop him. He looked like a shadow of the man he used to be.
Kurt really missed him. He missed his voice, his laugh, his smile. He just missed Blaine, but he didn't have the courage to talk to him. So when it was time to go home for Thanksgiving, he packed his bag, said goodbye to Jeff, Nick, Trent, Thad, Travis, Wes and David. Sebastian hadn't shown his face much either. His bitchy side had gotten worse and Kurt didn't want a snarky remark before he would spend Thanksgiving with his dad. He left without saying goodbye to Blaine.
Xxx
A knock on the door interrupted Seth's packing. "Yes?"
"It's me, Trent."
"Come on in." Seth sighed. Trent had made a habit of just dropping by randomly. How was he suppose to prepare himself mentally to not claim him if he showed up every time he'd least expect it?
"Are you dressed?"
Seth rolled his eyes, but he couldn't stop the grin on his face. "No, Trent. I'm naked. Longing for you." 'That wasn't exactly a lie.'
Silence. Just when Seth thought Trent had walked away, the door opened and Trent walked in with his hands in front of his eyes. "I'm not looking."
"It's a shame. I'm even hotter without my clothes than with them," Seth drawled amused.
Trent peered through his fingers, breathing a sigh of relief when he saw that Seth was fully dressed. "You're wearing clothes."
"You sound disappointed."
Trent chose to ignore him and stared at the bag on Seth's bed. "Where are you going?"
"Home. It's Thanksgiving, you know?" It came out harsher than he'd meant it, but he couldn't help it. For most people, Thanksgiving and Christmas meant they could spend time with family that they loved. For Seth, it meant that he had to use all of his survival skills to make it out alive.
He could feel Trent's eyes on him, full of pity, and quickly turned his back on him and threw in some more clothes.
"Oh. So you're going home, then?"
"Where else would I be going? I don't exactly have a choice."
Trent licked his lips nervously. "Well, you could always come to my house. Bring Lily with you. My parents wouldn't mind. Mom loves to cook. We always have plenty of food so don't worry about that…" He knew he was rambling, but he couldn't help it. When Seth was around his mind turned to mush.
He'd thought about inviting Seth and his sister to his house since the moment Seth told him about the abuse. He had no idea how his parents would react because he'd never brought a Dom home, but he didn't think they would refuse Seth. His mother loves to spoil everyone. He was luckily to have amazing parents. He wanted to share that with Seth and his sister, showing both of them what a real family was like.
"You… you're inviting me over?"
"Sure, why not?" Trent asked, hopping nervously from one food to the other, hoping that Seth would take his offer.
For a moment, Seth considered Trent's offer, but then he saw the glint of pity again. Trent didn't offer him to come over because he wanted Seth to come over. He did it because he felt sorry for him. Seth clenched his jaw. He didn't need pity. Especially not from Trent.
"No. Thank you, but I'll be fine."
Trent stared at him in shock. He couldn't believe Seth refused his offer. Why would Seth want to spend Thanksgiving with his abusive father instead of with Trent's loving family?
"Are you sure, because they won't-"
"I'm sure, Trent."
"But-"
"Can you just let it go?!" Seth snapped. Trent stumbled backwards. He hadn't expected a sudden outburst of anger from Seth.
He swallowed. "I just wanted to help."
"I said no, Trent. Just go. Go to your family. Be happy. Hug your parents and tell them you love them while they love you back, but leave me out of it!" Seth was yelling by now. He saw the hurt on Trent's face, but he couldn't help it. He'd bottled up his emotions and everything was coming out. "GO! NOW!"
Trent blinked back the tears that threatened to fall, turned around and ran out of the room. He only stopped when he was sitting in his car. His suitcase was already in the backseat. He had left the passenger's seat clean and free for Seth.
He turned on some music, left Dalton and only when he turned on the highway did he let his tears fall.
Xxx
Blaine was the last one to leave. He'd intended to go to Aunt Rosa and Uncle Robert, but he couldn't forget Cooper's words. Was it true? Did his father regret his actions? Was he extra hard on him because he loved him? Did he really not care about his homosexuality?
There was only one way to find out, so Blaine turned his car around. Ten minutes later, he stood in front of the gates of his former home. He walked up to the front door and took a deep breath. "Here goes nothing."
He opened the front door and stepped inside the huge hall. It was empty. "Mom? Anton? I'm home!" His voice echoed through the whole house.
Cooper did say his mother wouldn't leave her room, right? Blaine had just taken the first few steps when a voice behind him stopped him.
"She's asleep."
Blaine turned around. His father was standing in the middle of the hallway. "It's good to see you, Blaine. Cooper told me you might come. Good. Your mother is resting and will join us when the food is ready. Come, I want you to meet someone before we have dinner."
Blaine stared at him in disbelief. "That's all you've got to say? After last time? I don't know if you remember, but you wanted to disown me. How can you act like nothing has happened?"
Anton sighed. He looked tired. "I don't have time for this now, Blaine. My guest won't wait forever."
"You've a guest?"
"Come, I'll introduce you. He's waiting in my office." Anton gestured for Blaine to follow him.
"I'm just here for my mother. After that, I'm gone." Blaine didn't move an inch.
"I've already told you. She'll be joining us later. Now come." Anton disappeared around the corner. For a moment, Blaine considered running up those stairs to find his mother, but what was the use if she was sleeping? If his mother was as weak as Cooper claimed, she'd really need her rest.
So he turned around and reluctantly followed his father down the hall to his office. There was a man inside.
The man was wearing a nice suit. His blond hair was neatly cut and he had an arrogant smirk around his lips. Blaine immediately knew he wasn't going to like this guy. The man smiled politely when he saw Blaine and stretched out his hand. "You must be Blaine?"
The man had a heavy English accent.
"Yes, and you are?" Blaine shook the hand of the man.
"I apologize, young man, my name is Adam Crawford. I'm your dad's new Personal Assistant."
"Don't downsize yourself, Adam," Anton grinned and closed the door behind Blaine. Blaine immediately felt trapped. He wanted to get out. "Take a seat."
He sat down behind his wooden desk. Adam sat down in a black leather chair, but Blaine remained standing.
"Coffee? Tea?"
"No, thank you," Blaine and Adam both answered at the same time. Adam smiled at Blaine. Blaine ignored him. Instead, he turned towards his father.
"Since when do you need a personal assistant?" Blaine knew how much his dad hated to be not in control.
"Like I said, Adam isn't just my personal assistant. He's also yours." Blaine opened his mouth to protest, but Anton held up his hand and Blaine closed his mouth. "Cooper's and your mom's. From now on, Adam will arrange all of our personal affairs, such as safety and he'll handle the press from now on."
Blaine raised an eyebrow. "The press?"
"I assume you've seen the pictures of you and this…"
"Kurt." Blaine hadn't paid much attention to them. He only knew because his father had mentioned it on the phone.
Adam and Anton shared a look. Blaine got the uneasy feeling that he was missing something. That they were keeping something from him.
He cleared his throat. "Kurt has nothing to do with this. He's just…" He thought about what Kurt said to him. He didn't think they were friends. "…a friend."
Anton nodded calmly. "You've already told me. I believe you, Blaine." Blaine cocked an eyebrow. He knew his dad was lying, but he kept his face straight. He wasn't here for one of his dad's sick jokes. He was here for his mother.
"He's stays out of this."
Anton folded his fingers together. "I'm afraid that we can't do that, Blaine."
"What? Why not?"
Anton looked at Adam, giving him permission to explain. Adam quickly came to his rescue. "The problem is that now the photos are out there, Kurt has been exposed to the public. We're lucky they don't know his name yet, but can you imagine what happens when they do?"
Blaine could. Kurt would be hunted down like a wild animal. All because of him. A cold shiver ran down his spine and he felt like throwing up. Kurt's life would be ruined, and that would be his fault. He swallowed. "I do."
"Well, then it is better that you work with us," Adam said. "I can make sure that no harm comes to Kurt. I need his telephone number and his address so that I can contact him and take some precautions."
Blaine stared at the man in front of him, an eager glint in his eyes. Something about this man made him uneasy. There was no way in hell he'd give him Kurt's phone number or anything related to Kurt. It's his fault, and as such, he'd take care of it himself.
Blaine cocked his head to the side. "Where do you come from, Adam?"
Anton and Adam both looked taken aback by the question. Adam quickly recovered.
"England. I was born and raised in London."
"That's a long way from home. What brings you all the way to Lima?"
Anton stood up, glaring at Blaine. "Blaine, that's enough."
"No, it's okay, sir," Adam said, his eyes firmly locked on Blaine's who also kept his stare on the blond Dom. "He has a right to know more about his employee's. I am here because your father asked for my help and also," He averted his eyes. "I've come here to claim back what once was mine."
"Care to elaborate on that a little more?" The possessive tone in the Dom's voice didn't go unnoticed to Blaine. "It's a little bit vague. You mean an object?"
A smirk appeared on Adam's face. "You can call it that, yes."
Before Blaine could respond, the door flew open and his mother stepped inside. Her eyes trained on Blaine. Blaine couldn't move, staring in shock at his mother.
She'd gotten skinny. Her dark hair had gone grey. She looked more dead than alive. 'Did I do that?'
"Blaine," her voice barely a whisper. Tears ran down her cheeks. Blaine couldn't hold back any longer and let his own tears run too.
"Mother."
She threw herself in her son's arms. "I've missed you so much." Her voice was hoarse from days of not speaking.
Blaine held her close. He could feel her ribs. "I've missed you too. I'm so sorry, mom."
"It's okay, we're together now. That's all that matters."
Anton looked proudly at his family. "Great. Now that everyone is here, let's eat something. Adam, are you staying for dinner?"
A/N. Sooo Adam's back! Remember him?
I'm wondering what he meant with 'I've come back to claim what once was mine' XD Anyways, if you're still reading this, let me know what you thought. I hope you can one day forgive me for the long wait. Don't hesitate to tell me if I still have my magic, or if I've lost it and should never ever update again!
