Sorry for the late update guys! I was on a family trip with my kids for about a week. But I'm back now and hopefully continue to get these chapters out quickly!

Chapter 10

Why would these people do this to me? Why the heck would he even agree? This situation was ridiculous. I had to stay around Hibari of all people. He hated to be crowded, even one person was one too many for him. His threat to bite me to death sounded more like a promise when he stormed out of the room. Yet none of the others seemed to take him seriously, apart from Tsuna who was freaking out as usual. Hands frantically pulling at his hair while he pondered Hibari's words to himself, out loud.

"Ah! What do we do if he really does hurt her again? This isn't right, he might just pick a fight and make it worse!" He cried.

"It'll be fine tenth!" Gokudera told him while rubbing his back in soothing circles. "Yeah! Senko can hold her own!" Yamamoto chimed in with a carefree laugh. I looked at Reborn with pleading eyes. Like he could read my mind but didn't care enough about my turmoil, he simply shrugged his shoulders and looked away. Abandoned!

I tried Shamal. He had a look that said he was comtemplating something of extreme importance. "Well, it's for the best.. besides if he does pick some fights that just means I'll get to see you more!" he mumbled to himself with a cheeky grin. Abandoned by a pervert!

"Still, I'm shocked that guy even agreed to take her." Gokudera said aloud to the room. Making it sound like the cloud guardian had decided to take in a stray dog that peed on everything, instead of a human being. I sighed inwardly, I was so unwanted. Not that I could blame them though. " Well that's that. Let's go home Dame-Tsuna." Reborn finally spoke, hopping off Tsuna's shoulder and walking to the door. He turned back to me. "I'll be checking up on you, just so you know." He threatened, his fedora shadowing his face.

Tsunayoshi kept on rambling about what-ifs while following him out. The bomber close at his heels sucking up. Only the rain guardian and the doctor were left. Shamal seemed to have checked out of reality. He began clearing the room of used equipment, tossing old bandages, and sterilizing things with a far away look in his eyes. I sat back on my hands and waited for the cloud to come swallow me up. It felt like hours had passed when he shouted.

"I just can't figure it out!" The bed creaked as he took a seat beside me. I was wondering why he was still hanging around this dreary hospital room. I took a sideways glance at him. Being this close to the guy I noticed just how tall he really was. All legs as some people would say. His arms were pretty lanky too, with the right amount of muscle. I could see the tendons in his arms twitch as he twirled his wrists around contemplating.

He seemed unsure if he should continue. I nodded at him to go ahead. As he turned his head towards me, he leaned in close whispering like he had some giant secret. I caught that faint scent of wet earth and thunderclouds. It was a strange shampoo or cologne maybe. For some reason it was very relaxing to me. I closed my eyes unconsciously and breathed it in deeper. "I feel like I know you already, but I know we have never met before now right?" his voice was deep and serious. It was unlike the usual Yamamoto.

A content sigh was all that came out of me at that moment. I felt like I was in a safe home surrounded by that smell. His presence had a strange effect on me. I felt the same as he did. The rain gaurdian was more familiar than he should be. I found myself unable to reply to him. I felt a little bad since he sounded sincerely confused, but what could I say? I didn't know any more than he did. He chuckled lightly. "Hey, did you fall asleep on me?"

I felt a large, warm hand grab my own. My eyes flew open at the sudden contact. I hadn't noticed how close his face was to mine. We were inches apart. More images flashed into my head. His face, bloody and scarred. A sweet smile. Another image, it was a small boy with a similar face. He was laughing, bent over and holding out his hand. The picture was consumed in darkness. I heard a heartbreaking scream in my mind. It was his voice. "Senko!"

"Senko! Hey Senko!" Someone was yelling at me. I opened my eyes to see myself covered in flame yet again. Yamamoto was a few feet away from me, slightly singed, and yelling my name. It happened in a flash. Something black flew past my line of vision and I was pinned to the ground, my hands being held behind my back. "Go ahead...fight me." That sultry voice was unmistakable. Even though he was definitely getting burned, he held fast to my body. Not allowing me an inch of movement. Geez the guy was like a brick wall.

I wouldn't give him the satisfaction. I did what I could to calm myself. Shamal said it was due to my emotions. So I focused on not letting that jerk of a guardian win. The orange fire flickered and slowly dissipated. Hey I was getting better at this! My heart was racing and I felt the fire still raging under the surface of my skin. This wouldn't be at all easy. He grunted in frustration and was off me in the same instant. Did he really want to beat me up that badly?

"Hey! Are you okay?" Yamamoto asked. "Yeah." Was all I could really say. I had no idea what just happened, or what those flashes were. They seemed like memories but that couldn't be right. I didn't know anyone like him. My earliest memory was...

No I couldn't even remember that anymore. Were my memories being taken away or replaced by these new images I kept seeing? Pieces of my life were vanishing, I had no idea what was wrong with me. My head was pounding again. Why was it always a dang migraine. Ugh.

"If your done with your tantrum, lets go already." Hibari's voice was filled with hate. His whole aura was trembling with rage. More so than normal for the skylark. I wonder what had happened to make him so aggravated. I stood up dusting myself off, as he stomped to the door. "Well? I dont have all day." He was glaring at me again. "Hey relax Hibari, she's going." Yamamoto was calm as ever, smiling at the prefect. Hibari just raised a tonfa to the swordsman. "Want a fight herbivore?" he was seething with frustration. What is wrong with him?

I was feeling pretty irritated myself. "You don't have to be so aggressive." My voice came out harsher than I intended. The last thing I wanted was to seem ungrateful. He was taking me in so to speak. Against his will, to his own home. Still with the guy being more violent than usual I was pretty sure he was just going to beat me up again. I felt reluctant to follow him. "Whatever." he retored and left the room. Apologizing to Yamamoto I scurried after the demon prefect. Not wanting to lose sight of him and end up sleeping on the streets somewhere.

His pace was so quick as he weaved throughout the Streets of namimori. Not once looking back to make sure I followed. We passed businesses and residential areas. A solid twenty minutes had flown by and he still kept walking. It turned out I didn't need to worry too much about losing him. Whenever I strayed too far behind, I could see Hibird flying overhead, chirping "Hibari! Hibari!". I was really following the yellow bird most of the way. I did panic a little when the bird landed somewhere out of sight. I ran to catch up. Hitting something hard when I rounded a corner. "Watch where your going, stupid."

It was the jerk. He actually called me stupid. Uuugh I can't deal with this guy!

"If you didn't leave me behind Jerk, maybe I would have!" I argued back at him. He narrowed his gaze at me, and I did the same. It was a weird little standoff. He didn't move or say anything for a few moments. Finally he turned away and told me. "Go in." He was looking at a house. It was surrounded by a forest area. I heard the yellow bird singing happily in a tree next to a two paned window on the building. We had arrived at his home.

"Thank you Hibird, you were very nice to show me the way." I called out to it. Sending a pointed look at the cloud guardian. "Go. In." He said again slowly, pointing to his door with one finger. It felt like I was a toddler in trouble. "Okay okay." I approached the door and placed a hand on the doorknob. Looking back at him and his expression. I knew what was coming for me as soon as I stepped inside. Here we go...

I turned the handle, and went inside.
