Chapter 10: Finals Just around the corner!

Last time on Healer:

Tsunade made a comment while looking through some of that air scrolls "You know Naruto if seals come easy to you that might actually help you in your battles."

Naruto stopped reading his medical book and looked at her. "You might be right Nee-chan. It would be help full to have medical herbs and salves on hand in case someone on my team got hurt."

"Wonderful, I will look into seeing what seals we have on hand in the library and if not then I can ask the Hokage for some

information." Stated Tsunade as she went back to looking through the air scrolls to see if she missed anything for the upcoming weeks of training.

Now on to the story!

The next two weeks went by faster than either Naruto or Tsunade expected. It had been two whole weeks since Shino and Naruto had hung out together and it wasn't any fault of their own. Each time they tried to hangout someone or something always interrupts them and they would have to re-schedule their day together.

Once such interruption was due to a near tragedy of one of Naruto's senseis such as Gekkon Hayate who was Naruto's Kenjustu teacher. He was almost on the verge of death due to severe injuries had Naruto not gotten worried and started looking for him.

It was by chance that Naruto was able to find him keep him alive long enough for the medic nins to rush Hayate to the hospital where Tsunade had been called to help heal him.

Flashback

Naruto had been standing in the training spot for nearly an hour and Hayate was still a no-show. 'Man I know that he is busy but he is always on time for trainging and if not he would have sent a clone with a message. So where is he?' Thought Naruto as he began to do some warm ups.

It was after he was done that he was worried now. 'That's it I am going to look for him and give him a piece of my mind!' With that Naruto left the training site and began to run through the forest. It was just as he landed that he smelt blood. Investigating the smell lead him to the body of his sensei. He quickly sent a clone to his Nee-chan and while waiting he used a basic healing justu on the major wounds in order to stop the blood flow. After he started Tsunade appeared with the medic nins and they took him to the hospital.

End flashback

'It was lucky that I was able to find him at all with all the smells around the forest.' Thought Naruto as he sped off to his training site. He wasn't meeting up with Hayate-sensei since he was still in the hospital and his condition was unknown to Naruto.

No, instead he was meeting up with Yugao, Hayate's girlfriend and someone who would know how Hayate was doing. Naruto mused a bit longer on his thoughts till he got to the site and found Yugao waiting there. 'I still have no idea how Tsunade got her to agree to train me in replacement of Hayate-sensei.' Thought Naruto as he landed in front of the one person that really scared him more than Anko. And Anko was scary in her own right, but Yugao out classed her.

"Good morning, Yugao-sensei. How is Hayate-sensei doing?" Yugao turned to him and nodded her head in a greeting. "The doctors say that he is currently in a healing coma to make sure all the wounds heal up. They aren't sure when he will wake up on his own yet."

Naruto nodded and stared to stretch before doing his warm ups. Yugao watched him for a few minutes and then spoke. "You know, I never did thank you, Naruto-san for what you did." At this Naruto stopped and looked at her with a confused look on his face. Yugao continued, "If you hadn't gone looking for Hayate when you did, he would have been dead long before anyone realized that he didn't show up for duty. So thank you."

Naruto blushed and scratched his cheek in embarrassment and replied, "It was nothing Yugao-san. I like Hayate-sensei. He is an awesome person and to lose him, well I hate to think about it.' Naruto privately thought to himself 'It would be like losing Shino to those kind of wounds. That would destroy me and….wait what am I thinking?!' After that thought Naruto turned away to keep Yugao from seeing his blush and started to do his training that Hayate got him to so far.

Once the doctors say that Hayate was now safe from death and thus the healing coma, Yugao had sworn to get revenge on whoever had done this to him, and this sent Naruto to push himself more into his training.

Due to this Tsunade had to force him to sleep several times and eat as well. Any time he had a break he would use it for studying more jutsus that could help save someone's life. The way he started to soaking up justu after justu was very much like a sponge. He had just learned another seven medical jutsu, the summoning jutsu (Tsunade took him to the summoning scrolls room on one of the regular days –) he had found that his summons were wolves though they weren't sure what kind as they had different markings and coloring as the normal wolves. Tsunade thinks that Naruto can summon elemental wolves as well as normal wolves.

They have yet to test that theory out yet. And two jutsu that he should have learned in the academy, and he was so close to being able to use Tsunade's own monstrous strength which both Naruto and Tsunade were proud to state on how close he was to using her monstrous strength.
