Hello! Remember me and this story? No? Okay...
No but I can't even tell you how sorry I am for making it take this long to give you a new chapter. And I also feel bad for blaming school once again but I really have had much to do and it took up so much of my time. Plus the writers block. After school came summer and I went away where I had no internet.
But I've been trying to write as much as I can and I promise you that it won't take this long to give you the next chapter.
Sorry once again and I love all of you who still wants too read this.
But please enjoy and reviews are much welcome!
It was Tuesday afternoon and Kurt was walking in his cheerleading uniform on the way to his locker. When he got there he gave a big sigh and put all his books except one in there. He had promised to tutor Sam today again but he wasn't feeling very well. Maybe I've got a cold. Jeff was having Spanish class, Nick as well and Kurt was just gonna wait half an hour for Sam to end his lesson too. He took his phone from his pocket and started playing a game as he leaned against the other locker beside his own open locker.
When he slammed the locker shut, he felt someone put their hand on his waist. And before he could react the hand slid down and grabbed his ass. Kurt turned around fast and came face to face with a grinning Blaine. Kurt smacked his hand away and glared at him.
"Hey babe" Blaine said still grinning.
"Don't 'hey babe' me," Kurt muttered annoyed. "What do you want?"
"Well, you obviously." He said with a chuckle. "I've tried to get close to you nicely, but since you're playing so hard to get, I decided to get down to the real approachment." He started stroking Kurt's arm.
"Playing hard to get? I'm not playing hard to get, I just don't want you to "get" me!" Kurt shout-whispered. Blaine continued to grin.
"Of course you want"
"You're impossible! Stop being so full of yourself!" Kurt said annoyed. The school bell rang.
"Whatever you say honey" Blaine gave Kurt a small blow kiss and walked away.
Kurt could see Sam talk with Jeff and Nick as he walked in his direction. They stopped in front of him and Sam and Jeff smiled at him. Kurt tried to give them a sweet smile, but he was still really annoyed, so it looked a bit weird.
"What's wrong Kurt?" Jeff asked, concern showing in his voice. Kurt ignored the question and turned to face Nick who started to look a bit scared.
"What's the problem with your friend?" Kurt sighed as he crossed his arm. Jeff furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and Sam gave a small huff with a faint smile on his lips. Nick looked confused first but quickly shook his head a little.
"Yeah.. Ermh... He-He's.. He's just," Nick mumbled as he tried to find the right words. "He's just bad I guess... In the social area."
"Well, can you tell him that I'm not amused," Kurt huffed and then turned to Sam. "Are you ready to go?"
"Yeah, let me just get some stuff from my locker first" Sam smiled. Kurt smiled back and gave Jeff a quick hug.
"See you later Jeff! And Nick" He mumbled before he Sam took off down the hallway.
"Bye Kurt!" Jeff called.
"You wanna come to my place again?" Nick asked and scratched his neck a bit awkwardly. "To work on this friendship thing:" He then added. Jeff gave Nick a confused smile.
"Sure"
Sam tried to take deep breaths. No time to loose! Tell him now! He looked up to find Kurt staring irritated at him.
"Could you please focus Sam?" Kurt sounded annoyed. "I'm doing this for you."
"I'm sorry Kurt" Sam said and tried to give him an apologetic smile. Kurt sighed.
"No, please excuse my awful behavior," He said, feeling a bit stupid. "I'm not feeling very well and Blaine ruined my mood."
"It's okay Kurt," Sam smiled sadly. "We can take this another time." Kurt smiled to him.
"Thanks Sam!" He rose from the bed and walked to the door. "Goodbye!" Sam waved at him and Kurt went out.
When the door downstairs was shut, Sam gave a huge sigh. Annoyed, at Blaine for making Kurt in a bad mood, he opened the English book by himself. Damn it!
"So.. Is there something special you wanted to do?" Jeff asked as he sat down on Nick's bed.
"No.. Maybe just sit here and talk?" Nick said as he also sat down. "Or we could.. I don't know.. Watch a movie or something?"
Jeff gave a laugh at Nick's awkwardness. Nick looked at him with a worried look on his face.
"What?"
"You know.. You're acting quite cute now when you have dropped that façade of yours" Jeff smirked a little teasingly. A slightly pink blush found itself to Nick's face.
"Shut up" He mumbled but couldn't help the smile that appeared on his lips. How can I feel so at ease with Jeff? Jeff smiled too. He liked how relaxing it was to be with Nick now. It was like they had been friends for a long time, even though it was a bit awkward and tense at some times and they had only just met a little over a week ago. That's crazy, but I think and hope that this friendship is going to work out.
"Watch a movie sounds like a good idea," Jeff then said. "Do you have any good ones?"
Now it was Nick's turn to smirk as he pointed at the bottom of his shelf. "Anyone that fits you?"
Jeff looked down and could describe almost all the movies with on word. Superheroes. Excitement filled him as his smile grew bigger.
"Awesome!"
Kurt felt a little guilty about leaving Sam to it, but he was so tired that he wouldn't have been very helpful even if he would have stayed. He took his phone out from his pocket and started to write a message. He pressed send and saw the text deliver to Sam.
Kurt sighed and went to his kitchen to get a bottle of water before finding an aspirin as he dug through the bag he had around his shoulder. He heard the front door open and then footsteps making their way to the kitchen. Kurt went closer the opening of the kitchen to see who it was.
"Hey kiddo!" Burt exclaimed a bit surprised when he saw Kurt.
"Hi dad" Kurt said and tried to give him a smile through his now pounding headache. Burt was about to reach out and rustle Kurt's hair up a bit, out of habit from spending time with Finn, but when he saw the bitch face Kurt was making, he decided against it.
"So how are you?" He asked as he actually entered the kitchen. "Weren't you gonna tutor Sam this afternoon?"
"Yes, I was, but I got such a bad headache that I wouldn't have been to much help," Kurt mumbled as he went to the table to put his aspirin down and started to unscrew the top of his bottle. "I think I'm just gonna take this aspirin and then go to my room to rest a bit."
"Yeah that sounds like a good idea" Burt said and patted Kurt on the shoulder. Kurt gave him a quick hug and swallowed his aspirin with some water.
"There are some leftovers in the freezer, you can take something there and heat it up" Kurt said as he took his water bottle and then walked in the direction of his room.
"Yeah, thanks kiddo!" Burt called.
Sam was lying in his bed as he tried to makes any sense of the grammar. He gave a frustrated sigh and slammed his face down in the book. It was so much easier with Kurt's help.
After a while of giving up on studying and lying with his face down in the book, his phone signaled that he had got a text. He smiled a bit when he saw that I was from Kurt. He opened it and read it.
'So sorry for bailing on you. I promise to make it up for you! And if you're free and I'm feeling better tomorrow, then maybe we could try again tomorrow after school? Sorry again' - Kurt
Sam wasn't angry on Kurt. He understood that Kurt wouldn't be able to help him while having a headache. He wrote a response and then got up. He wasn't gonna be able to study so he felt like he should at least do something useful. After realizing that he smelled pretty bad, he decided that a shower was much needed.
Kurt was just about to fall asleep when he heard his phone beep. He groaned and rolled over on his side so he could see who was bothering him, thinking that it could be Finn wanting to know something about dinner. Carole wasn't home so all of Finn's questions about food and cleaning went to him.
He was first surprised when he saw that the text was from Sam, but then he remembered that he had sent a message to him before. He looked at the text.
'No need to be sorry Kurt, you weren't feeling well. You wouldn't be able to help me with a headache. But I'm free tomorrow so if you're feeling better then I'm up for another study session' – Sam
Kurt smiled and sent a quick 'Great :)' to him before he put his phone away and laid down to rest again.
Somehow Nick had managed to fall asleep during the first Spiderman movie, and when it ended, Jeff didn't know what to do. He could always try to put on another movie but decided against it as he didn't want to go through Nick's shelves without asking first. He could also try to wake the said boy up but he looked so peaceful. His hair was all over his face and he breathed small, soft breaths with his mouth open.
So cute! Wait what? Jeff blushed as he looked away. Stop it! You have the worst timing ever! He argued with his mind then he sighed and looked around. He didn't really dare to touch anything so he just stayed on the bed. He gave a glance at Nick's desk which reminded him of them doing that essay together. The bed also had some memories, like their latest make out session. Godammit Jeff! Just stop thinking about anything! He looked the time up on his phone and saw that it was half past four. Since it wasn't very late he decided to just lie down beside Nick and rest for a while.
Lost in his daydreams, Jeff didn't first notice the quiet whines that came from Nick, but when he started shaking Jeff looked to his side. He was not expecting Nick lying with a painful expression and tears running down from his tightly shut eyes. He was whimpering and turning from side to side. Jeff's eyes grew big and he wondered if he should wake Nick up. But when it only got worse Jeff grabbed Nick's shoulders and shook hem lightly.
"Nick? Nick! Wake up!"
Nick's eyes flew up wide and he drew in a panicked breath as he sat up. He then took some deep breaths to calm himself down. He looked carefully at Jeff. He was staring at Nick with a look that demanded an answer.
"Nick-"
"It's nothing, just a nightmare" Nick said quickly and turned his face away from Jeff.
"Okay, why do I not believe you?" Jeff asked as he grabbed Nick's chin lightly and turned him to meet his face. "I don't believe that this is your first time dreaming like this either."
"Let me go!" Nick said and glared at Jeff, but he didn't do anything to remove his hand. Jeff glared back.
"You promised that you would tell me!" Nick's glare fell and he tried to look away again.
"And I will, but I just..."
"Nick it's not healthy if this happens often" Jeff said as he let go of Nick's chin and took his hand in his to comfort the other boy.
"I know-" Nick started but changed his mind. "When do you have to go home?" Jeff looked at his phone. Ten to five.
"I don't need to be home within next hour."
"Okay," Nick said and took a deep breath. "Oh god I feel so pathetic."
"Don't" Jeff said sternly and gave Nick's hand a squeeze.
"Here we go..." Nick whispered. Mostly to himself. He couldn't believe he was actually gonna tell someone his secret. The one he had been trying to keep from everybody. Of course Blaine knew, but it was because they kinda were in the same boat. Although Nick didn't know what had gotten in to him lately. Why was he about to open up to Jeff? He barley even knew the guy. What's making him so special? What made you drop your mask so easily? Jeff just needed to open his mouth and your walls came crashing down. But he was gonna tell him. He wouldn't break a promise. Not to Jeff at least.
"Okay, it all started when I was thirteen and came out to my parents..."
Huehue! I ended it with a cliffhanger. I'm pretty mean. But thank you soooo much for reading. Kisses and hugs. Thanks for also, maybe, leaving a review! :)
