Magic bus (sort of)

Hello fandom buddies, thank you for the positive feedback its really nice to know that more people read and enjoy this story, here is the chapter you guys reviewed for ;)

Castiel's POV

I opened my laptop for the last time in my house, the house of the Milson's.

I had an email from Samandriel.

Hello fellow Milson's.

I would like to explain myself.

So I wanted to make a new life, I wanted a fresh start.

I moved to Canada.

It was a little weird when I got off the plane, you know, I assumed to see a bunch of people wearing mittens and those ear hats hanging out with Moose saying "Canada, eh?" But it literally looked just like the airports in the states.

It's not minus ten all the time either; it's quite nice weather.

And yes though Hockey is a big thing it's not that big and it's not the only thing Canadians talk about.

Maple syrup isn't carried around in flasks and drank strait too, for the record.

Anyway, I was touring in Montréal and I met a girl named Saskia, (she's British) who was touring too, turns out we both had apartments in BC, so we took a plane back together and she moved in with me, and then we pooled our cash and bought a new apartment.

(FYI: I'm officially a Canadian citizen now, I really like it here. You know they don't have FBI or Marines or whatever, they have Mounties, pretty awesome you know, they've got beige wide brim hats red jackets and kick ass boots.)

So Saskia and I have been together for a couple months now, I really feel like she's the one, you know?

So thanks for not calling the police or anything, I've really developed a life here in Canada.

XOXO, (minus the kisses) Samandirel

"Huh," I muttered absently and clicked on the New Mail button.

Dean, I typed, I just wanted to say that tomorrow I'm leaving, I'm graduating and I'm not going to go back home.

Just weird, tomorrow I'm going to become a hunter, for good. I'm leaving my life behind.

Yeah... Just weird ;/

-Cas

"Congrats Cas, you survived High school and didn't get expelled, time to go to college!" Gabriel joked.

I laughed and elbowed him in the ribs.

"I'm proud of you Cas, what are you gonna go to college for?" Michael asked.

I paused, "I actually, I never told any this but I want to be a house designer," I lied, a house designer? I thought really?

Balthazar, Lucifer and Gabriel both laughed but Michael just kept smiling, making me feel really guilty but I tried not to let it bother me.

I couple girls squealed and said "hey Cas!" As they walked past me, I waved, they squealed some more.

"Kay guys I gotta go to the bathroom," I said and walked off before anyone suggested to hold my backpack.

I walked into the bathroom, a younger brother or something was doing his business when I scooted into one of the stalls and got changed out of my graduation suit., putting on my normal clothes, black pants plaid and my trench coat.

That kid was about to leave when I got out, "hey kid hold on a sec!" I said.

He turned around, looking terrified.

"Can you give this to the short blonde kid that'll probably come in here really soon?" I asked as I handed him my graduation suit and a note saying "I pulled a Samandriel. I'm sorry."

The kid tried to look tough and said "sure," I smiled and quickly went though my backpack to check nothing was missing then I put on foot on the edge of the urinal and cracked open the window and climbed out, I poked my head in and did a thumbs up to the kid who was staring at me.

"Don't end up like me," I said and closed the window.

Then I hurriedly ran over to my bike and unlocked it, shoving my bike lock in my pocket, I climbed on and peddled fast down the street to the bus station. Wind whipped at my face piercing it with cold air, but when I stopped it was gone, the warm air of summer still there.

I dumped my bike on the curb, after taking my pre packed backpack off it. Someone would steel it before my bus even arrived.

I walked over to where my duffel bag was stashed; I pulled it out and stood waiting for the bus to arrive.

I thought about Lucifer, who probably was reading the note I left over and over again as Michael tried to call me, which I could tell because my phone was ringing uncontrollably.

I checked it, it was Michael of course, I declined the phone call and looked through settings for something to block someone from calling you.

By the time I found it and blocked all the members of my family the bus arrived.

I gave the ticket to the driver and climbed on the bus, of course, after putting my luggage in the compartment.

By the time the bus ride was over I'd fallen asleep and gotten woken up by various noises about seven times.

When we reached Livingston I got off and lugged all of my stuff over to the train tracks, where I waited for the train to arrive.

I sat there, in the bushes so no one would see me, staring at the silent train tracks.

I swallowed back tears, I tried to pretend I didn't know why I was crying, but I did know, I knew too well.

I was crying because I just left my family, finally Lucifer was starting to get better with everyone else and I probably ruined that, Michael was really broken up when Samandriel ditched, I imagined how he felt when I left.

And Gabriel...

Stop it, I told myself its not gonna make you feel any better.

I glanced over to my left as the train came into view.

I shuffled back into the bushes more, so the conductor wouldn't notice me, I don't know why he would, though. He would be paying attention to the front view since he was slowing down to stop. And plus, I know from all the times I'd tried to get them to honk they'd be drinking coffee, typical.

The train started slowing down and finally came to a complete stop at the station.

I dragged all of my stuff out of the bushes and walked up to the car I knew would be mostly empty, it was near the back and had a door that I could get in and out of.

I pulled the door open and threw all my stuff in, then I climbed in and turned around to close the door.

When I turned around again I saw the gleaming blade of a knife hovering right between my eyes.

I couldn't see who was holding it, I just saw and arm and a dark outline, I wanted to reach for my duffel bag and grab a gun but it was too far away.

"Hey, hey, okay easy now," I muttered, I tried to sound unafraid but I didn't think it worked.

I held up my hands and the knife was lowered.

I still couldn't really see the face but I could tell it was a guy and he had floppy hair and a rain coat on.

"Who are you?" He croaked.

"C-Cas," I stuttered.

I faintly saw him move his hand and picked up something, it was a flashlight, he clicked it on and shone it on my face.

I held up and hand to shield my eyes.

"I'm Ron," he said.

I grabbed my backpack and stuffed my hand in the front pocket and pulled out my flashlight.

I clicked it on too.

Now with more light I could see Ron had his own sleeping bag and pillow, he also had a couple water bottles and some food.

He had practically set up camp, I saw he had brown hair and hazel eyes, he was wearing jeans and a white shirt under his unbuttoned raincoat, which was quite thin.

"Hey," I muttered.

Ron smiled and shifted his position to something more comfortable.

"Where are you headed?" He asked.

"Mississippi," I muttered as if it was obvious.

He nodded, "nice to have some company," he said.

"You getting off in Mississippi too?" I asked.

He nodded, "I am, who are you running from? The cops?"

I shook my head, "family."

He have me a look, "how old are you?" He asked.

I looked up innocently, "eighteen," I replied simply.

Ron snorted, "what? Did you graduate today?" he laughed.

I looked at him, unamused, "I graduated yesterday thank you very much."

There was an awkward pause then Ron nodded several times and said, "you better set up camp Cassie, you don't have to worry about anyone coming in her because they don't, I mean I've been riding since Texas and not one time have I had to run off or use my knife," he considered that for a moment, "except with you," he added.

I smiled as I spread out my sleeping bag and pillow, I also turned on my lamp and set it next to my sleeping bag, it casted a faint light over everything so I could see more details in the car, really just boxes stacked in the corner, a couple blanket type things... Just a half empty car.

"So you've been riding since Texas? How do you eat and use that bathroom?" I asked, I was lying on my stomach facing the other end of the car; I could only see Ron out of the corner of my eye.

"I get off when the train stops, I know where it's stops and when, and I know when it leaves again, I take that time to get off and get some food and use the bathroom, I didn't get off when you got on because there was stop earlier and I still have food and stuff," Ron explained.

We'd been riding on the train for about an hour.

I rolled over and stared at the ceiling.

Something large, black and hairy scuttled past my head. I twitched slightly then realizing what it was my head snapped up and I screamed as I swiveled around and slammed my back against the opposite wall, away from the spider.

"Whoa!" Ron laughed as he crawled over and scooped up the hairy beast.

"God, why so scared?" Ron asked, a crooked smile on his face as the spider stood awkwardly on his big his hands.

"Don't! No! Hey whoa stop! Ron STOP!" I screamed.

The spider scuttled around on his palm like a trapped cockroach as Ron held him out closer to me.

"Ron that's a tarantula!" I shrieked.

Ron laughed, "no it isn't, it's a mouse spider, no idea how it got on this train... They're ground spiders," Ron wondered.

"But they're poisonous," I choked.

Ron laughed, "deadly yes! But only the females, this one is a male... And it'll only bite if provoked... Most spiders are like that. Except for the Brazilian-"

"Ron, stop it!" I yelled pressing myself into the wall even more.

"God Cas if you squish yourself even more your gonna fall off the train," Ron joked as he walked over and opened a small door that led to another car - only had that space in between - "be free!" He yelled and released the spider in the wild.

"Don't ever do that again," I ordered.

"Tons of spiders accidentally get on a train and ride for weeks Cas, if your gonna be here for another day or two you should get over your fear of spiders."

"I'm living it man," Ron said.

I shifted my position and turned my head to look at him.

He was reading a book-The Outsiders by S.E Hinton.

"What?" I croaked.

Ron took the flashlight out of his mouth, which he used to see the details and gestured to the book, "just, Pony boy and Johnny just hopped a train," he explained.

I nodded absently then stopped at looked back at him, "did you say pony boy?" I asked.

Ron nodded, "weird names huh?"

I nodded absently and laid my head down on the pillow.

"Cas! Cas, get up! We stopped, were in Mississippi time to get off!" I heard Ron call through the soft cloak of sleep.

I groaned and turned over to see Ron's crooked grin staring down at me.

"Seriously? How long have I been asleep?" I asked, sitting up.

Ron looked confused, "Uh, normal time, about six hours maybe more, not days or anything," he said.

I smiled to myself, right, I didn't get stabbed this time, and I was just sleeping.

I dusted myself off and started to roll up my sleeping bag, I shoved it in my huge duffel bag with a lot of grunting and groaning while Ron stared at another spider he found.

I looked over at it, "what spider is that one now?" I asked, making sure he didn't throw if on me, it was pretty big.

He tipped his head, "it looks just like a black widow, unusually large but yeah, a black widow."

I paused, "aren't they supposed to be big?"

Ron shook his head, "no only about the size of a bottle cap, a little bigger but this guy is a bit bigger than that even," he muttered turning his hand to let the spider crawl all over his hands.

"Ron put the spider down," I said.

Ron grinned at yelled "think fast!" as he tossed the spider at my face.

"Gah!" I yelled as the spider caught my jeans then scuttled down and across the floor.

Ron was laughing, I smiled too, "it still scares me, just a little!" I joked, of course, it still scared me just a lot, but not as much.

Ron laughed as he swung his bags over his shoulder and picked up the last one, I tugged open the door and let Ron jump out first then I followed shining my flashlight around the car once more to make sure we didn't forget anything then I slid the door shut.

"Well it was nice meeting you, Cas," Ron said.

I nodded, "you too."

We stood awkwardly for a moment then Ron said, "hey I never caught your last name Cas."

"Oh, Milson. Castiel Milson," I replied, "and you?"

"Ronald Harrison," Ron said putting on his most sophisticated look.

"You know I've heard that name somewhere," Ron continued.

"Daniel Milson? The writer?" I asked, it felt a little weird saying my dads name so casually.

Ron nodded. "Yeah he's my dad," I said.

Ron's jaw dropped, "what?! That's… seriously?"

I nodded, "holy shit," he muttered.

I grinned and tried not to mention what a dick father he was, "I guess I should be going," I said.

"Hey, if your dad is Daniel Milson, he's like a billionaire, how come your hopping a train?" Ron continued.

I paused, that was a good question, what happened to all the money our dad earned?

"Um, well... he gave a lot of it to family, he has... erm, several...girlfriends that he had kids with, so... he likes them and everything, they depend on him a bit, he... travels," I muttered awkwardly, not knowing if that was actually the truth, I had no idea what happened to the money my dad had in his bank account that no one knows the number to.

Ron nodded, "Oh, okay yeah it was great meeting you," I said, we shook hands then Ron waved, he looked confused with my answer to his previous question but it obviously didn't bother him to much, he crawled across the train tracks and continued on his journey.

I smiled after him, Ronald Harrison, the man who I met on the train going Mississippi, the man who finished his book in a couple of hours and gave it to me, the man who helped me get over my fear of spiders.

I turned around and started walking the opposite direction, the quest to find my dad laying ahead of me.

So what do you think? Leave a review!
