"You can do this," Elsa said to herself as she stared blankly at her sister's bedroom door. She repeated softly," You can do this." The white door tormented her as she raised her first and knocked on the door. Anna's warm voice invited her to enter. Elsa sighed as she placed her hand on the brass door handle and pushed the bedroom door open.

Anna leapt to her feet when she saw her sister. Elsa looked paler than usual, her hands were violently shaking, and her knees were knocking against one another. She looked like a clumsy baby deer adorned in a shimmering elegant dress. "Elsa, what's wrong?" Anna asked concerned as she grabbed onto her sister's arm as if she might fall.

"The guy," Elsa exhaled sharply as she ran her fingers through the back of her hair. She felt her arm become free from Anna's grasp, and she began to pace the floor. She finally came to a halt and turned towards her worried sister.

"What about the guy? He didn't hurt you, did he?" Anna asked as she neared Elsa like she was an injured rabbit.

"Anna no, no, no, I'm in love," Elsa shook her head and responded as if someone had died.

"Isn't that a good thing?" She asked as she arched an eyebrow.

"It's just…I am in love with Hans," Elsa replied quietly and softly as she smoothed over her braid. Anna's jaw unhinged and dropped like a loose mailbox door. She sat down on the bed and buried her head in her hands. She murmured something under her breath and her hands locked onto the mattress as if it might slip out from underneath her.

"Have you lost your mind?" Anna asked as she looked up at Elsa as if she had volunteered to grow a second head. Her voice was cold and calm like the air before a hurricane. "Elsa, he tried to kill you. He left me to die and extinguished the fire so I would freeze to death. How did you fall in love with that monster?"

"He's not a monster. He's changed," Elsa replied defiantly sounding like a teenage girl.

Jumping to her feet like an angry bear, Anna shook her head and screamed, " How can you do this to me two weeks before my wedding? God Elsa! Did you go crazy or were you that desperate?"

"Anna, that's not fair. You were ready to marry him not even after a couple of hours of knowing him!" Elsa responded as the floor around her began to turn to ice. She backed into the bubblegum pink wall as Anna growled.

"Well, that is how I feel," Anna shouted. "I am getting married, and I don't want him around. If I matter at all to you, fix this."

Elsa stared blankly at her sister, "What do you want me to do?"

"Send him away."

"What?"

"Send him home," Anna repeated placing emphasis on the last word. Elsa looked as if someone had stabbed her in the chest with a dull knife and glanced down at her feet.

"Fine," Elsa replied, "If that is what you want." She left the room a frozen mess and closed the door behind her. She could feel her heart beat like a bass drum as she floated down to Hans' room. Her blank stare captured the attention of the entire castle staff. "Queen Elsa, are you alright?" seemed to echo in her ear, and it made the trip to his room seem longer than usual.

She knocked on Hans' door . The tall handsome man opened the door and smiled when he saw his queen. He wrapped his arms around her petite waist and pulled her close. She murmured gently, "I told Anna."

"Come in," Hans said as he finally let go of her fragile body. He took her by the hand and lead her into the bedroom. He shut the lightweight door behind him and locked it.

"What did she say?" he asked as he looked out the small window. He placed his hands on his hips and sighed.

"She wants you to go home," Elsa replied as she sat down on the small twin sized bed. She delicately placed a hand on the metal frame and watched Hans turn around and stroke his chin as if it were a small animal.

Hans responded, "I thought that might happen." He plopped down beside her and took her hands in his. He asked quietly, "When am I leaving?"

"In a few days, I have a few arrangements to make," she answered.

"I need to write to Viktor," Hans stated quietly before pushing her white blonde hair back and placing kiss so faintly that Elsa thought a snowflake had fallen on her forehead.

"I will bring you some paper and pen tomorrow," Elsa replied quietly as she smiled. She felt his soft lips graze against her as his hands moved towards her face. He cupped her face before kissing her more passionately and lovingly.

"Elsa, I love you," he muttered before kissing her fiercely and moving his hands down her back. He broke away and watch Elsa's raspberry colored lips form into a beautiful shining smile. "We are going to be okay," he stated.

She answered, "I know."

"I'm surprised you aren't freaking out," he teased as Elsa stood up and tugged on her dress that was clinging to her legs.

"Like you said, we have a plan," she replied coyly.

The next morning, Hans awoke to find a black pen, a few sheets of paper, and an envelope slid underneath her door. He smirked as he rolled out of bed and mindlessly rubbed his bare torso. He picked the materials off the floor and took them back to his bed. In neat handwriting that would eventually become a lost art, he wrote a long letter to his brother.

Dear Viktor,

My time in Arrendale has been delightful, demanding, and shorter than either of us have expected. I have fallen in love with Queen Elsa, and I am pleased to report that the feeling is reciprocated. As you can imagine, Princess Anna was livid and disapproves of our blooming relationship. She wants me to return to the Southern Isles; however, returning home means immediate death by the hands of our oldest brothers.

Elsa and I have devised a plan, but we need your assistance. She has kept her castle on the North Mountain, and I will be staying there. In a few days after my departure, she will write to you saying that I have escaped. When you and our family come, she will be hysterical and miserable and demand that you help find me. Please be comforting and consoling.

Hopefully, they will realize that I am essential to her happiness and will be supportive of our relationship; therefore, my return will be a celebration. I hate to ask for such a huge favor, but we need your help.

Sincerely,

Hans

He sealed the letter in an envelope and took a deep breath. He murmured, "Please don't let me down."
