Right where we left off:
"Who's Chuck?"
Dean smiled a little, "Chuck is a friend of ours, we don't see him very often because he's home schooled and when he's not learning he's holed up in house for hours at a time writing."
Cas nodded for Dean to continue.
"He's a really good friend of Sammy's from when they were little. He's sixteen, and he's shorter than you and has a grown man's beard. God knows he needs to get out more. I think he'd like Anna. He hasn't had a girlfriend since Becky and we don't talk about her." Dean explained.
"Okay." Cas agreed, "This is a great idea. No wonder I love you." Cas grinned up at Dean and Dean leaned down to kiss him. Their smiles touched.
It was three days after the talk that Dean and Cas had with Anna and so far she hadn't done anything, and she wasn't going to. Sure she was a little bit of a sociopath but she didn't ruin the lives of people that her family loved. Plus she actually liked Sam, as a friend and as a person, it wasn't worth all the drama.
Dean and Sam walked up the steps of Chuck's house. It was three houses down from their own.
Dean knocked loudly on the door. Mrs. Shurley, Chuck's mom, opened the door.
"Oh! Hello Sam, and Dean, I haven't seen you boys in ages." she smiled at them tightly. Mrs. Shurley wasn't a big fan of the Winchesters, she was convinced they were troublemakers. Chuck's father, Chuck Sr. loved the Winchester boys so she had to keep her opinions to herself.
"It's wonderful to see you Mrs. Shurley," Sam said politely, "Is Chuck home?"
They knew he was. Chuck was always home.
"He's up in his room," she said, "You can go up and see him."
They pushed passed her, they weren't in the mood to be sneered at by her. They made their way up the stairs and Sam knocked on Chuck's door.
"Mom, seriously, if you ask me if I'm smoking pot one more time I will actually smoke some." Chuck growled through the door and Sam and Dean chuckled.
"Chuck it's us, Sam and Dean." Sam replied.
"Oh well, uhh..." Chuck's voice drifted and was muffled through the door. Dean rolled his eyes and pushed the door open.
"Hiya Chuckles! How yah been?" Dean asked lounging on his bed. Sam stood in the door way and gave Chuck an apologetic look.
"Hi Dean," Chuck said glaring at him, "I've been writing."
"Yeah we know. We haven't seen you in like three months buddy." Dean said rubbing the boys head.
Chuck shooed Dean's hand away.
"Wanna come over Chuck?" Sam asked, "Ash and Jo and some of our newer friends are coming over. You haven't met them yet."
"And meeting them is important why?" Chuck asked.
"You can't be a recluse Chuck." Sam scolded, "And they're our friends, and you're like my best friend, come on dude."
"It won't be that bad Chuckles, Benny's back, you guys were always close. He's probably wondering who murdered you in your sleep you've been so absent from the outside world." Dean told him, patting him on the back.
"Benny's back?" Chuck asked. Benny was always like an older brother to Chuck, who is an only child. For Benny's first few months in Kansas he lived with the Shurley's as an exchange student.
"Yeah, got back a few days ago." Sam said.
"Alright, I'll come but no...no crazy shit okay?" Chuck asked, "If my mom hears that I egged a house or sat in a roof and pegged pennies at college students then I won't see my laptop for a month."
"Chuckles man, when have we ever steered you wrong?" Dean asked with a smirk.
"I'm not going to justify that question with an answer." Chuck said and left with Sam, Dean following close behind.
Mrs. Shurley watched the Winchester's leave with her boy and got even more nervous when Dean turned and smirked before giving her a wink as he shut the door.
They made their way into the Winchester's house and the living room was full of people, as was the kitchen.
Cas was sitting on the couch with Meg and Ash, Jo and Benny were in the love-seat, and then Gabriel, and Anna and Sarah were in the kitchen.
Dean walked in first and plopped down in Cas' lap.
"Why hello there." Cas said looking up at Dean and then kissing him quickly on the lips.
"Hiya Cas." Dean said grinning into the kiss, "I missed you."
"The two of you are disgusting." Meg said retching.
"Shut up, Meg." Dean said moving so he squeezed between Cas and Meg, Meg pushed Ash off the couch to make room and Gabriel laughed at him from the kitchen.
"SHUT UR CAKE HOLE GABE." Ash shouted and Gabriel only cackled louder.
Chuck was shuffling nervously behind Sam and then he saw Benny. Sam cleared his throat and then Benny saw Chuck.
"HEY CHUCK!" Benny said happily getting up and walking over to him.
"Hey Benny." Chuck said timidly but he was smiling from ear to ear.
Benny scooped the smaller boy up into a giant hug. Chuck laughed and hugged hm back.
"Nice beard short stuff." Benny said putting him down.
"Yeah Chuck, makes you look all rugged." Ash said with a wink and Chuck rolled his eyes.
"Sorry I haven't been around lately." Chuck said smiling sheepishly.
"It's alright Chuck, just remember that we like hanging out with you. You're laptop isn't your only friend." Jo said witha smile.
"Uh Dean? Are you gonna introduce us?" Cas asked.
"Oh uh, yeah." Dean said and sat up, but kept his arm around Cas.
"Hey Chuckles, this is my boyfriend Castiel Novack, Cas this is Chuck Shurley."
"Nice to meet you." Cas said smiling at him.
"Yeah same here." Chuck said, "I'm sure I would've met you sooner but I'm home schooled."
"ahem aheM AHEMMMM." Gabriel said walking into the living room with Anna and Sarah on his heels and clearing his throat loudly.
"Hi Chuck!" Sarah said walking around the small imp faced Novak.
Sarah new Chuck because she'd visited him with Sam a few times. She put her arm around Sam's waist and he kissed the top of her head.
"Hey Sarah." Chuck said smiling. He liked Sarah, she was nice.
"UM HELLO, SAMSQUATCH, ARE YOU GOING TO INTRODUCE ME OR NOT?" Gabriel asked Sam as he put a hand on his hip and Anna rolled her eyes.
Sam rolled his eyes also and laughed, "Chuck, this is Cas' older brother Gabriel Novak, Gabe this is my best friend Chuck."
"Nice to meet you." Chuck said with a weak smile.
"I thought I was your best friend Samooch?" Gabe asked frowning.
"Gabe, Sam can more than one best friend." Ash said hitting him in the back of the head.
"And he's known Chuckles here since forever." Dean added.
Gabe eyed Chuck for a minute, squinting at him like he couldn't see and then he smiled, "Nice to meet chya Chucky, any friend of Sam's is a friend of mine."
"Good to know." Chuck said sheepishly. The tiny golden haired boy scared him a little.
"Chuck," Cas said speaking up, "This is my little cousin Anna, her and her brother are staying with us indefinitely. They just moved here from England."
Anna stepped around Gabe and smiled at Chuck, "Hi."
"Hello," raising a hand in a shy wave, "I hope America isn't a disappointment."
Anna giggled and Sam and Dean snorted.
"It seems to get better and better everyday." Anna assured him, not looking away from his eyes. Sam saw Chuck gulp and smiled to himself.
Even though Dean and Cas had the plan of setting Anna and Chuck up Sam was the only one paying attention because Cas and Dean were too involved in themselves to even be paying attention.
Dean had his arm around Cas' shoulders and Cas was snuggled into his side. Cas was playing with Dean's free hand while holding it in his lap with both of his own hands and they were smiling at each other and whispering and Sam thought it was so gross but also a little cute.
"Wanna ditch?" Dean asked Cas, leaning down to whisper into his ear.
"We can't Dean, we're in your house." Cas whispered back, looking up into Dean's eyes.
"Well we could always go in the kitchen or...upstairs?" Dean asked smirking.
"Dean, you have people here. They will know where we went."
"Fine." Dean pouted and Cas chuckled and kissed Dean's pouty lips.
"You're incorrigible." Cas said to him, Dean could feel Cas' breath on his lips.
"And that means...?"
"IT MEANS YOU'RE DIFFICULT STUDMUFFIN." Gabe said sticking his head over the couch and forcing it between Cas and Dean's heads.
Dean's features immediately went from flirty to murderous. Cas glared at his brother.
"Oh was I interrupting something?" Gabe asked innocently.
"One day, I'm going watch you get hit by a bus and then laugh about it." Dean told him with a straight face.
"And I'm going to park that bus after I hit you, and then laugh with him." Cas added and Dean's mouth lifted into the ghost of a smirk.
"You guys suck unicorn balls, man." Gabriel mumbled and went to bother Ash.
For another hour or two they all just hung around the Winchester's home. Anna was deep in conversation with Chuck about his homeschooling and his writing, Sam and Sarah and Jo had started a game of monopoly and Gabe and Ash were in a never ending game of war with three decks of cards.
Dean and Cas had gone outside to sit on Bobby's back porch so they could be alone for a little while. They were sitting on the steps leaning against one another, and Dean was staring at Cas while the smaller boy talked about his love for bees.
"I just love bumble bees because they're so fluffy harmless but I also love honey bees because they make honey, yah know? Like, that's so amazing! These little buzzing flying bugs actually create something as delicious as ho-" Cas realized that Dean was admiring him and smiling down at him.
"What?" Cas asked blushing.
"Nothing.." Dean said still smiling, "You're just adorable Cas. You're just sitting there smiling because you love bees and talking about bees and gee Cas I just..." Dean drifted off.
"You just what?"
"I just can't get over how incredible and gorgeous you are, yah know? I mean, I lucked out so much with you. The fact that you're with me at all is astonishing and I just...I know we're in high school Cas but I don't ever wanna let this go."
Cas blushed furiously and beamed up at him. Dean could have sworn he saw his eyes water a little.
"Dean, I don't want to hear you say that. I don't want to hear you say that me being with you is astonishing because it's not." Cas said seriously, "I think that you're incredible and unbelievably gorgeous and you are one of the kindest and most selfless people that I have ever met and I get to say that you're mine. Do you realize how lucky I am? I get to say that Dean Winchester is mine while tons of other people glare and sigh because they wish you were theirs."
Dean looked down at Cas in shock, and let out a shakey breath that he hadn't realized he was holding in.
"Dean I don't wanna let this go either. I can't really imagine a future without you if I'm being honest."
Dean smiled, a bright and light smile that Cas only seen a few times, mostly when he was looking at Sam. Cas had only gotten it once or twice, that he knows of.
"If we're being honest then you should know that you're not going to have a future without me."
"Dean?"
"Yeah Cas?"
"I...I love you." Cas practically whispered it.
Dean and Cas have been together for a little over three months now and Dean had been wanting to say the 'l' word since ther first date but had been trying to wait longer. He hadn't been sure when you said that kinda stuff in a relationship.
"Oh Cas," Dean said throwing his head back and laughing because he was so happy, "Cas I love you too."
Dean pulled Cas into a heated kiss, pulling the boy into his lap so that Cas was straddling him on the porch steps and snaked his arms around the smaller boys waist and pulled him closer. Cas wrapped his arms around Dean's neck and threaded his fingers through Dean's hair and smiled into the kiss when Dean nipped at his bottom lip.
Dean slid his hands down to grip Cas' ass and pulled away from the kiss to kiss the dark haired boys neck.
"God Cas," Dean mumbled against his skin, "I've been in love with you since I gave you my god damn stupid jacket to wear. I wanted to tell you on our first date."
Cas' breath hitched when Dean bit down on his neck and then licked over the spot with his tongue.
"Really?" Cas whispered, he could barely get any words out.
"Yeah Cas," Dean said kissing along the boy's collar bone, "You're the only fucking thing in my head. It's all you."
Cas ground his hips down into Dean twice and Dean gasped and then moaned into Cas' mouth when they kissed again, "Dean you should have told me sooner. You're not the only one who believes in love at first sight."
Dean moaned louder at Cas' words, Cas loved him, Cas loved him. "Fuck Cas I love you." Dean said into Cas' neck as he went back to kissing it, "I love you so much, holy shit. I love you."
Dean kept whispering I love you's into Cas' skin and Cas kept returning them with whispers into Dean's ear.
Dean was about to buck his hips up into Cas a third time so he could hear te glorious whimper that escaped his boyfriend's lips when Sam stuck his head outside and cleared his throat.
"Uhmm Dean?"
Dean pulled away from Cas and Cas blushed and smiled sheepishly at Sam but didn't get off of Dean's lap, "What's up Sammy?" Dean asked a little breathlessly.
"Everyone's leaving."
"Okay," Dean said and raised an eyebrow, "Are you leaving?"
"Uhh, ye-essss?" Sam asked slowly.
"That's my boy." Dean said with a grin and Sam went back inside while rolling his eyes. He turned back to Cas and kissed him before standing while holding Cas. Cas wrapped his legs around Dean's waist and Dean carried them inside just as Sam was locking the front door behind him. By the time they got to Dean's room Cas was no longer wearing a shirt and Dean had two hickeys on his neck.
Dean dropped Cas onto his bed and loomed over him. He groaned loudly and bucked his hips when Cas unexpectedly reached up and palmed him through his jeans.
"Shit Cas, don't do that or I'm gonna blow my load way before I intend to." Dean growled into his ear and Cas laughed lightly.
"You're sure this is okay?" Dean asked.
"Dean if this wasn't okay then it wouldn't be happening." Cas assured him, "I love you, I want this."
"Yeah, okay." Dean said grinning and kissed Cas hard on the mouth, "I want it too."
-x-
Dean and Cas woke up the next morning in a tangle of sheets. They were butt naked and the sun was kissing their skin through the window of Dean's bedroom. Dean was curled around Cas and Cas was snuggled into Dean's chest.
Dean woke up first and glanced at the clock, it said 11:30 am. Dean's eyes widened. He had to be at work for noon.
"Shit, ballsacks." he cursed, "Cas, babe wake up."
"But I don't wanna." Cas mumbled and planted a kiss on Dean's bare chest.
"Cas, I love so fucking much, like more than anyone could possibly imagine, and last night was by far the best night of my life but I forgot that I had to be at work today and I've only got a half an hour to get ready." Dean said feeling guilty.
"Dean that's okay-" Dean cut Cas off.
"No it's not," Dean growled, "It's not because last night was special but the morning after is supposed to be special too and I had it all planned out in my head. I was going to cook you breakfast and then we were going to watch cartoons and then go for round two and then take a shower and-" Cas cut Dean off.
"Dean, I don't mind." Cas told him smiling and rubbing the sleep from his eyes, "I know working is important to you because you're helping save for Sam's college. Dean we will pick up where we left off tomorrow, and we still have time to shower together." Cas said with a wink.
Dean grinned, "God I love you."
"I love you too."
On the way to work Dean dropped Cas off at his house.
"Hey babe, my phone's gonna be off today until I get off work, Bobby said the shop's pretty crowded today."
"Okay, I'll talk to you later." Cas said kissing his cheek.
As Cas was opening the impala's passenger door Dean pulled on his wrist and kissed him on the lips.
"Bye Cas, love you."
"Love you too Dean." Cas said with a giggle and made his way up the front walk to his house.
Dean pulled away with a loud beep and Castiel smiled at the sound of it as he let himself inside his house.
"Gabe?" he called out, "Gabriel?! Lucifer?! I'm home! Where are youuuu?" Cas asked happily. He literally could not be in a better mood.
"We're in here Castiel." he heard Lucifer say from the living room.
That wasn't good. Lucifer sounded...solemn. Cas' good mood slowly evaporated and when he walked into the living room his breathing stopped.
Zachariah Novak, his father, that he hadn't seen in three years was standing in his living room facing a stoic Lucifer and a livid Gabriel. Gabriel's eyes widened when he saw Cas and he rushed over to him.
"Cassie, you should go upstairs." Gabe said calmly.
"Gabriel why is he...he's ...why..." was all Cas could stutter out.
"Hello Castiel." his father said turing to look at his youngest son.
Castiel just stood there like a deer in headlights for a moment longer before sprinting up the stairs to his bedroom where he opened the closet door and sat down in between his three suits and some hoodies. He cracked the door and pulled his knees to his chest and leaned against the the wall of the closet. One hand was gripping his knee while the other was digging into the floor boards.
Castiel began to panic.
ohhhh shittttttttttttt! He's panicingggg. who gets rid of his anxiety? DEAN DOES. who's at work and not answering their phone? DEAN.
