"I. Will. Win. Him. Back." Kuronuma said through clenched teeth.
"Ah, get off of me! You're crushing my wrists!" Kurumi shot back.
Sawako had a surprisingly crushing grip strength, and Kurumi definitely felt it. She could sense loss of circulation to her hands.
"Sadako! Get off!"
Sawako realized the pain she was inflicting finally, and reluctantly she loosened up on Kurumi, about to start pulling away.
Suddenly, Kurumi shot at the opportunity and grabbed Sawako's wrists. Pulling Sawako down to her knee level, Kurumi sharply kicked Sawako in the stomach region, knocking the wind out of her. Sawako crumpled up in pain, clutching her stomach. Not allowing her to get back up, Kurumi grabbed a lock of Sawako's long hair and pulled sharply towards herself, taking Sawako with her. Sawako screamed sharply.
"Listen here you stain on the floor. You stay away from Kazehaya! You hear me? Stay. Away! Do you know now much he means to me? Do you know how hard I worked? No. You don't. Nothing at all. You don't know anything about him or me! Not my life! Not my story-"
"But I do!"
"No you don't! Shut up! Try and guess!"
"You've always liked Kazehaya-kun," Sawako struggled under pain,"but you never had the courage to talk with him. You went to all his baseball games, watched him all the time, and even made sure no one else got with him..."
Sawako pained from Kurumi's hold.
"How did you find that out!?"
Kurumi yanked at Sawako's hair again.
Sawako screamed in pain once more.
"You...You stay away from Kazehaya-kun! Stay away!"
Kurumi grabbed Sawako by the shoulders and stood her up roughly.
"I will win him back! And you can't stop me!"
Ume stuttered at this response.
"Kazehaya-kun deserves better! Better than you!"
Kurumi couldn't say much at this.
"Kazehaya-kun isn't even happy with you!"
Kurumi took offense to that statement. She grabbed Sawako by the lapel of her blazer, pulled her close, and with right hand raised high for a potent strike, struck Sawako across the face.
"SHUT UP! I will make you take that back!"
Ume pushed Sawako away, almost causing Sawako to trip and moved forth to hit her again.
On the swing, Sawako dodged the attack and reactive lay hit Kurumi in the face with a clenched fist.
Blood dripped from Kurumi's nose.
Sawako covered her mouth in shock, she couldn't believe what she had done.
"Kurumi-chan!"
"Don't speak to me! This is going to bruise!"
Tears flooded Sawako's eyes as she looked at a wounded and bleeding Kurumi.
"Just wait til Kazehaya-kun finds out you punched his girlfriend in the face on purpose."
"Kurumi I didn't mean to-"
"I already have the story now..." Kurumi began,"Kazehaya! It hurts! Sawako just hit me straight in the face yesterday! She was fuming about us and how I shouldn't be with you!"
"No..." Sawako whispered.
"Just try to get him to like you after that story gets out," Kurumi said while massaging the area Sawako hit.
"No.. That's not exactly true! I didn't mean to-"
"Doesn't matter, he won't believe you now. In fact he'll probably hate you after this."
"No... No. No. No. No. No. No. NO!"
See you tomorrow, Sadako."
Kurumi turned about and began walk off.
Soon enough she was out of sight.
"No..." Kuronuma thought,"It's not fair. I was with Kazehaya-kun, it was me! Now, Kurumi is with Kazehaya, and she neglects him too! It's not fair! This is all wrong! Was it all really just a dream? But it felt so real! It is not fair!"
Sawako fell to her knees and began to cry, her face throbbing from Kurumi's hit.
"It's not fair..."
Sawako wept.
"I can't do this... I lost." Sawako thought.
"Hey, you can't give up." a familiar voice called.
"You have some fight in you after all! Haha, you can't just give up your fight like this!" yet another familiar voice called.
"Sadako-chan, are-are you alright?"
That third voice Sawako identified as Kent Miura.
"M-Master?"
Kent wiped tears from Sawako's eyes.
"Come on, cheer up. I brought some friends Sadako-chan, why dont you say hi," Kent said cheerfully.
Sawako looked up and saw her two friends, Chizuru Yoshida, and Ayane Yano.
Sawako's eyes shot open with tears still streaming.
"Chizu-chan? Ayane-chan? ... K-Konichiwa!"
"Konichiwa, Sadako-chan." Ayane said.
"What's wrong, Sadako?" Chizuru asked.
Sawako's head tilted downward.
"I lost."
"You lost to who?" Kent asked.
"To Kurumi..." Sawako whined.
"How so?" Ayane asked.
"I accidentally hit her in the face really hard, and now she will tell Kazehaya-kun..." she began to sob,"and then Kazehaya-kun will hate me."
"Doesn't seem like something Sadaki would do..." Ayane whispered to Chizu.
"Yeah, doesn't seem natural, only if provoked maybe but not in offense."
"Sadako, did she try to hit you first?" Ayane inquired.
"Mmhm, she tried to slap me again!"
"Again?"
"She slapped me before, and pulled at my hair, and kicked me," Sadako wept.
Ayane crunched down by Sadako and wiped tears from her eyes.
"I see. That's terrible. Did you do anything before?"
"I kind of lost my temper and pinned her against that tree to get my point across, but nothing else."
"So she hit you first then?"
"U-ummm..."
"She did."
"It doesn't matter, she will tell Kazehaya about it...and Kazehaya will hate me."
"You do like Kazehaya-kun don't you?"
Y...Y-yes.. I do." Sawako timidly answered.
Ayane and Chizuru each took up Sawako's hands. "Don't worry," they said,"we will help you fight Kurumi and win Kazehaya. Just watch, soon it'll be Kurumi crying on the floor."
"I'll help too! Why not." Kent added.
"Just trust us." the three said together.
"Thank you so much," Kuronuma said.
