Will wouldn`t stop laughing. He could feel a six-pack coming on; NOT that he didn`t already have one.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU`RE LAUGHING AT? YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY? I SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOU WHEN I HAD THE CHANCE!" Mortmain couldn`t seem to control himself which made Will laugh all the more.
"Well you`re too late buddy. And I`m laughing at the fact that you spend all your days with these creepy automatons but you see a spider and you flip." Will said after he had - finally - stopped laughing. Gabriel had had enough and wanted to go back. So silently, he closed his eyes and prayed.
"Please Raziel take me back home, this is torture and I have done nothing wrong." He peeked out of one eye to see if he prayer had come true. But obviously, it hadn`t. He was still trapped in the jar with the lunatic Heronwhale. He let out a sigh which was louder than he wanted it to be because it caught the attention of his least favourite people.
"And what do you think you`re sighing at dead man? You are supposed to be scared not bored. How `bout I take things up a notch eh?" Mortmain suggested.
"Well, live old man, you don`t have any good entertainment." Will looked offended.
"What about me?" Will said. But before Gabriel could reply, his vision became blurry. He rubbed his eyes and once they were clear he couldn`t believe what he saw.
"CECILY!" He screamed. Tears ran uncontrollably down his face. He had not seen Cecily since he was a living old man himself. When he got to heaven he had expected her to be by his side when her time was up but it never happened.
"GABE!" She screamed back. Gabriel turned to Will and saw tears sprinting down his face too.
"What-?" Was all Will could manage out of his mouth.
"Ah, this beautiful young lady was on her way to heaven a very long time ago, when I intercepted. I thought if I had her spirit, one of you will throw yourselves at me and beg for her freedom but alas, you did not so I kept her spirit and a wild one at that." Mortmain had an evil gleeful smile plastered from ear to ear.
"All this time, I thought I had done something wrong. That I was actually in hell because you never came to my side. There is no place called heaven if I can`t share it with you." Gabriel whispered to Cecily. Tears were now streaming down her face too.
"I`m sorry, I`m so sorry. I didn`t want to leave you all alone. I fought my hardest but I still didn`t win. I wanted to be with you so much and that is all I have dreamed for the past years. I let you down. I thought, well at least you had Gideon with you in heaven. But me, I had no one because I was trapped here." Gabriel and Cecily locked eyes and they didn`t look away for they were scared that once they did, they would wake up.
Will wanted to slap himself. All that time in heaven looking for his baby sister, hoping she was alright and she was here the whole time. He didn`t know she needed help. His baby sister had been all alone and he wasn`t there for her, he shouldn`t be called a big brother.
