Shikamaru dies in the 4th Shinobi war and is Reborn (Still in Naruto World) as the young daughter of a Prostitute. He has an innocent façade that he keeps up but can be quite sadistic in Shogi when playing with customers who make him angry. He has more of a temper, but has retained his Ninja knowledge and Nara Intelligence. He somehow eventually goes back to Konoha.
