Hello. Sorry for not updating. Please take this as an apology.

What Happens Next

Tsuna felt himself become a broken record. Throughout the night, he said the same thing over and over again. He was slowly becoming sick of hearing his own weary voice. He would continuously apologize to Yamamoto and suggest for him to return home. That way, Tsuna could ease his mind from calling himself a blood lusting monster. It was the only way Yamamoto would be safe from him at least. Instead, Yamamoto refused to do so and said Reborn wanted him here in case. Tsuna couldn't deny it and submitted to his friend's wishes.

Reborn had told him about what happens to humans after being bitten. They, at this point, develop a tendency of attaching themselves to the biter. It was the same clingy bond that vampire were so fond of. A Human Familiars were nothing but a walking blood vessel. Yamamoto haven't noticed it yet either. If he had, he hasn't done anything to stop himself from attaching himself to Tsuna.

"Don't worry! I like being around you either way." He smiled.

That was a lie.

"What about your baseball practice? You can't miss those. Once you're feeling better, go to them." Tsuna insisted.

"It's only practice. Besides, baseball can wait."

Don't make me your priority.

Tsuna didn't know what to do. He was finally alone after convincing Yamamoto to rest. He spent his time alone in the kitchen. Every memory of the night were being erased or shoved all the way back of his mind. He didn't want something like that to remind him that he was nothing but a monster. It was already hard enough for him to deal with his urges. He didn't want another thing haunting him. Tsuna closed his eyes as he listened to the soft footsteps approached him. Reborn stood there, silent.

"You seem to have handled it a bit better than expected." Reborn hummed.

"You made me become something I never wanted to be."

"I only made you more in sync to your instinct."

Tsuna shot open his brown eyes. He slowly turned to the man with a dark snarl. At first, Tsuna wanted to release any leftover anger he had. But he decided to calm down. There wasn't any point to being mad anymore. Tsuna turned away and readjusted himself on his chair to ease his tense body. The image of Yamamoto crossed his mind again. His hands distinctively flew to head, gripping at his messy brown hair. He shoved the memories back to where he last put them. Reborn only watched as his student struggled to surpassed his ongoing stress.

"You shouldn't regret what you did. Yamamoto was destined to be your Familiar. You need to remember what you are."

Tsuna let out a breathy sigh as he relaxed. His hands dropped to his side with a soft thump and he threw back his head. He couldn't protest. He couldn't find the energy inside him to. Tsuna bit his lower lip as Reborn left the area. His thoughts came to him full blast. It was almost suffocating.

Yamamoto was sitting at the table in silence. He had woken up around six in the morning out of habit. His body had made a full recovery and was back in action. By now, he would have been out and about to train for the upcoming matches. Instead, he sat still while he waited patiently for Tsuna to finish cooking. Though, his mind began to question a few things.

Where did Tsuna sleep? Why was Tsuna alone in the kitchen? How long was he sitting there for?

He couldn't ask it aloud. He didn't want to trouble the vampire so early in the morning. Tsuna turned around and spilled the food carefully on the plate in front of Yamamoto. He then threw the now dirty pan in the sink for later cleaning. Tsuna carefully pulled back his chair and sat on it, avoiding eye contact. Yamamoto watched carefully until Tsuna suggested that he should eat.

"Since you're up, you should go home. Your parents must be worried about you." Tsuna spoke, weakly.

Yamamoto didn't respond much as he slowly ate his half cooked eggs. Honestly, he didn't want to leave. He felt that he should be here instead of anywhere else. Yamamoto glanced away from his food to Tsuna. He could see how tired the brunet was without asking. The dark bags under his eyes had given it all away too quickly from his lack of sleep. Yamamoto began feeling guilty for monopolizing Tsuna's bed all to himself.

"Sure… What are you going to do? We have class soon." Yamamoto asked.

Maybe they can walk to school together. That brought Yamamoto's spirits up.

"I'm going to skip school for the day. I'm not feeling too good."

Yamamoto felt shot down.

"Should I stay too? I can help you if-"

"I think you should focus on yourself before helping me. When you're done, please leave." Tsuna interrupted.

Yamamoto didn't say anything nor did he stop Tsuna from leaving the room. He felt that it wasn't his right to. Yamamoto could only imagine the stress Tsuna was undergoing. He sat alone as he stared down at his plainly tasting breakfast. He suddenly felt alone now that Tsuna left him.

It's not much, but there will be more. I promise. Please let me know if you want this to continue.
