ITS SUMMMMER VACATION! WHOO! Ahem here's a new chapter for you guys! And finally on a chapter 10! I know some authors tend to end story stories like at 23 or 13 but trust me, we're just half way into the plot I have for this story.
Anyways, things will be revealed in this chapter about Violet's past that connect to last chapter's beginning.
Quick disclaimer: I don't own KHR it belongs to Amano Akira-san. If I did I would've strangled the pineapple head already XD. I only own my OCs the plot and romance (;
The Rain and the Stars
Tsuna couldn't be any more panickish today in the morning. At least we had spare time before school started but my cousin hadn't learned anything, in this case living with Reborn and what consequences he could face. Okay maybe I'm being a little too harsh, Tsuna was used to living with Reborn by now but I'm starting to guess he forgets very quickly.
He broke the record today since it was 0.03 seconds of time at the hour of breakfast. And so as my tale goes on, here I was, watching my cousin struggle to get his hand out of a blue colored bowl that was plastered inside by some white dry stuff we all know as concrete. If my hair wasn't in a pony tail at the time I would've pulled my hair out of my scalp for all the screams that Tuna was throwing out.
"W-Why won't it come off!" My cousin flung the round object into the air, desperately wanting it removed. I sighed.
"You know, if you only listened to Futa earlier you wouldn't be struggling to pop out your hand from that," I crossed my arms and glanced at the clock from the hall. "You have twenty minutes to get that off. I want to walk to school in peace thank you."
"HIEE! Then why don't you help me get it to stop eating my hand!" "Um okay, first of all it's a plastic container not a pirhanna. Two, I know your my cousin and I love you, but give me a good reason why I should get you out of that oatmeal- turned -to concrete -cuz -of -Reborn thing?"
"...I'll tell Reborn your own secret."
I froze like a stick. Tsuna, blackmail me? Ahem, excuse me. Is the world coming to an end?!
"You wouldn't dare..."
Tsuna's caramel eyes reflected a rare sight of mischievous intent. "Even if I'm not capable I could. I'm not even kidding."
My eyebrow twitched. I went to go get a mini garden shovel out at the veranda from where Aunt Nana's gardening supplies were and went back inside the kitchen to remove my cousin's stupid hand from the piranha eating concrete. I kind of inserted the shovel's tip on his hand by 'accident' so he had curvy stabs here and there on his palm.
When he started scolding me I honestly just rolled my eyes like I didn't care. He just seriously said he would black mail me so he kind of deserved to be inserted with that garden shovel didn't he? If not then please try understanding me for just 5 seconds.
After that was over, we said out goodbyes to Aunt Nana the kids, a freshly returned Bianchi and a smirking Reborn (who I bet had a plan to bury more of Tsuna's body parts inside concrete) and left. We met Gokudera up half way, but there was no Yamamoto.
"Ohayo Juudaime!" Gokudera greeted. "Ohayo Gokudera-kun," Tsuna said and smiled.
I glared. "Morning to you too you Octopus head," I said. He glared. I gave him my smile.
"Are?" Tsuna looked around the area. "Where's Yamamoto? He's usually here with you Gokudera-kun."
"Hmm it is odd... Maybe the baseball freak's already at the gate Juudaime!" I raised an eyebrow. Knowing my baseball captain, he would tell us when he would be waiting here it at the gate. It was odd. Well, maybe he woke up late or something so who knows.
"Let's go Tsuna or we'll have to run from Hibari for being late," I said and walked ahead. "M-Matte!" he tried to gain my pace. I only heard tako head snort and catch up with his beloved Juudaime.
Things were going smoother between Gokudera and I since last night for some reason. He called my cellphone (Yes, Tsuna and I got a plan together and I'm paying with the allowance my dad gives me) and asked how I got home. I got weirded out since Gokudera never really asks how I'm doing unless I'm sick in bed so I just told him what happened in the classroom while he was 'exploring' just started lecturing me nonstop. That's how the avoidance and weird behavior ended and now we're back to our normal selves.
As we were reaching the gate my expression turned from cheerful to pure dark once I saw mango colored eyes. Ame. And he seemed to be in a very good mood for some reason. I was too far away to hear what he said but I could clearly read his lips.
'I have something in store for you, Amare. And it's going to be a sweet treat.' Then he left.

Fourth period. A game of soccer. Girls versus boys and I liked. The girls on my team were burning with resolve and as soon as the coach designated us to our part of the field, my teammates started swooning at the two new transfers that were practicing and kicking the ball on the other side.
"Ame-kun and Nick-kun are so cool!"
"Aren't they so cute!"
"Ame-sama, Nick-sama! Look this way!"
I had to stop myself from grabbing our ball and throwing it at their heads. I had nothing against Nick, but I did have a little hate to spare for Ame. These so called teammates of mine were going all over their wonderful sama-tachi's 'wonderful complexion.' Ugh, I feel my morning toast coming up my throat.
"I'm in love!" a girl with short pink hair and glasses two bodies away from me declared out of nowhere and started drooling over Ame. Guess he heard that cuz he instantly turned and gave her a cold gaze and then looked at me smirking. I returned the gaze with a hard stare and nearly almost flicked him off.
What the hell was his problem? What did I ever do to him for me to be his target?! After I turned I was blinded by a flash and I tumbled down the floor.
"Ouch..." I rubbed my head and got up from the grass to find some girls and guys laughing slightly. Ame kept his cool and smirk on. He did NOT just kick me on the head with the soccer ball. All hell was about to break loose on his sorry ass.
"You son of a-" The P.E teacher blew the whistle. "Game start!" he said. Once the ball hit the ground and legs were going on the offense, I couldn't help but snarl internally.
'You're going to be murdered by the ball today Ame Surino!'
"Oi, Vio! Are you coming or not!" Gokudera yelled at me bothered that I wasn't moving my legs to the door out of the classroom. "G-Gokudera-kun!" Tsuna tried grabbing his storm guardian's attention before I could shoot a pencil at him. I stopped putting my things in my bag and growled at the door.
"If you have time to be hurrying me up then you have the time to wait me up at the gate! I'm almost done!"
"If you have time to argue with me then start moving stupid woman! That baseball freak has explaining to do!"
"You could just admit that you're worried Gokudera..." I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked with the guys down to the entrance.
"I-I'm not worried at all! Juudaime is, right Juudaime?" Tsuna winced at Gokudera's weird tone of voice and flinging of hands. (Hehe, sure Go-chan, you're not worried XD)
"E-Eh? Oh, yeah! Isn't it strange that Yamamoto didn't come to school today?" I eyed the bomber slightly smiling (oh the world of yaoi haha!) and then shrugged my shoulders. "It is. He doesn't get sick until winter season. Maybe something came up?"
We passed a few houses down where Mimi the fearsome chihuahua lived. Apparently Tsuna was still afraid of those tiny dogs... I admit at some point I was too but I became to love them, it was only that sometimes the animals would begin to hate me.
"Maybe because they don't like you," a baby voice appeared suddenly on Tsuna's shoulder. "Reborn!" he shouted and jumped up.
"Ciaossu," the arcobaleno greeted and kicked Tsuna on the head. "The proper way to greet someone is to say hello, Dame-Tsuna."
"Hi Reborn," I greeted. "Try to give a warning before you appear out of thin air."
"It'll kill my fun so, no."
I groaned.
"Aren't you going to deliver that Manila folder Kyoko have you during lunch?" Reborn pointed at my bag.
"Yep."
"Kyoko-chan gave you something to deliver?" Tsuna eyed me a little disappointed. Man Reborn you just had to open your goddamn mouth. If only he knew the secret I wa holding but he didn't deserve to know anymore. He blackmailed me remember?
"A little jealous aren't we?" I teased and ruffled my sky boss' hair. "Stop that! Of course I would be!" Tsuna started to fake cry.
"Dude, it's common sense that she would ask me to deliver it. I'm a girl that she confides in." 'And that looks like her crush' I thought slightly laughing.
"How is that common sense! I talk to her too!"
"I'm not having this desperate love life talk with you right now. We'll continue at home okay, futago itoko(2)."
Tsuna gave me that 'face' and by what I mean that face is the one he makes when he's angry at me. Well we do look alike so it's like seeing me angry, like the time with Ame. (Great, my stomach feels queasy..)
Tsuna passed by the red house in front of us and kept walking with his arms crossed over his chest. I glowered at Reborn who sniggered at me. What's with the smirking people! Quit it! It's as if they're saying, 'Just for the fun of it I'll tilt my lips and let you think I wanna rape you.'
"T-Tsuna! C'mon don't be like that!" I cried and tried catching up to him.
"I will murder you Vio," Gokudera also gave me a bad look and I ignored him. "How dare that woman! She-" I covered my mouth before Tsuna heard.
"Hey you stupid octopus! You bad mouth Kyoko, you bad mouth your precious Juudaime's love," I whispered. The bomber gulped and kept quiet. "We're already going to see Yamamoto anyways. The folder is for him."
Tsuna sighed and looked at me more relaxed. "I'll really have to talk to you at home. And don't you dare start throwing me things!" I pledged the promise by saying yes sir. "If it makes you feel any better I'll let you hold the folder Tsuna..." I added.
"N-No, it's..." He hesitated.
"Fine." I laughed.
"Srubip wofam! Greb iltoff!" I whirled to look at Gokudera. "What? I can't understand you." He grabbed my hand that was still plastered to his face and blew steam.
" I was trying to tell you to get your stupid hand off my mouth you idiot!" I stared at my hand for a couple of seconds before finding myself wiping it on the tako head's yellow blazer. "Ew it had your saliva on it. Blegh," I faked to get him annoyed and he got even redder in the face.I couldn't even tell if he was about to blow his top or if he was embarrassed. He was about to speak when Tsuna immediately flipped me around and pushed me in the back to keep walking.
As Tsuna tried to calm down his right hand man it was only me and Reborn walking in the front. "Ne Reborn," I started and he tilted his head up to see me.
"What?"
"Do you have any sanitizer?"
I earned a smack from the person you all call innocent Tuna Fish on my head for nearly causing Gokudera to fall on fresh concrete a few blocks back. Hehe, we're having an odd encounter with that stuff lately. I wonder if Reborn set that up for a certain someone...
3rd POV
When the trio arrived to TakeSushi, the first thing they did was walk in the restaurant and hunt down Yamamoto. "Welcome!" The owner of Takesushi yelled from behind the sushi counter at the three teens he immediately recognized. "Hayato-kun, Tsunayoshi-kun and Sumi-chan(2)! Here to see Takeshi?" The onwer was then a little afraid at the expressions he was seeing from his son's best friends, including the fluffy one in the middle.
"T-Takeshi! You're friends are here!"
When Yamamoto walked inside the restaurant from the part where he lived in a blue muscle shirt and shorts, he couldn't be any happier. But his friends weren't one bit. "Yo minna! Wh-"
"What the hell Yamamoto!" Violet interrupted her baseball captain from continuing his greeting and sat down in a chair. Reborn followed and ordered sushi from Tsuyoshi.
"Baseball freak! You clearly aren't sick today!" Gokudera angrily revealed the obvious. "You made Juudaime and the other sports freak here worry!"
Yamamoto noticed why his friends, including Tsuna, were angry with him and laughed as he rubbed his head nervously. "Oh! Warukatta! I didn't mean to make you guys worry. Something came up today and I had to make up an excuse on not to go to school today."
Tsuna sighed relieved and handed him a Manila folder (in which he tried not to fanboy all over it or his cousin and his tutor wouldn't leave him alone later). "Here's your assignments from today."
"Thanks Tsuna. Anyways, why are all of you here?"
Violet almost fell off her chair. Tsuna sweat dropped and laughed only a little. Gokudera REALLY needed a stress ball to relieve him of his irritation. This boy was just too oblivious sometimes...
"They all came to check up on you," Reborn explained as he chewed a freshly served lean cut of tuna he had ordered. Tsuyoshi was pleased at his customer's look of satisfaction. Violet and Tsuna's mouths twitched. "Really? You're eating sushi NOW?" they cried out in unison loudly, earning a couple of stares at customers to which they apologized. "You selfish baby," Violet muttered and moved to sit on the bar counter. Gokudera, Tsuna and Yamamoto followed.
"So why didn't you come to school today?" Tsuna asked and the baseball teen glanced at his dad for approval. He nodded.
"Today in the morning my old man was opening the restaurant early like always. He had woken me up on time so I could have breakfast before going my way. Haha I didn't end up eating cuz the milk was spoiled..." Everyone sweat dropped while the father mentally scolded himself for almost actually getting his son sick
. 'So we're not the only ones who had a risky early morning today' Tsuna thought.
"I was about to head out and meet you guys at the place where we usually do but then suddenly a couple of business men showed up and came barging in rudely, demanding to see the owner of the restaurant." Tsuyoshi had brought some freshly brewed tea in cups for his guests to enjoy while they heard the story and they thanked him.
"These business guys weren't nice," Yamamoto continued. "They claimed to be the landlords and said that we had violated one of the rules in my dad's contract. If he didn't pay them soon to make up for it..." His gaze turned sharp. "We lose this place."
Tsuna almost spit his tea. "What! That's not right! They can't do that, can they?"
"I don't even think that's legal!" Gokudera stared at a book that said 'Landlord issues for dummies.' Violet tried not to slap her hand on her face.
"Were you paying attention in math class this time?" She asked the bomber.
"Tch. Why wouldn't I?" "You don't like Harumi-sensei talking about her home problems non-stop in class that's why. Sorry for interrupting, you may continue, Nerd."She stared at his emerald green eyes behind his glasses as he gave her an intense glare.
"I don't think you'll find this issue in your book anyways..."
"It's says,' Unless there is a tax escalator clause or a fuel escalator clause in your lease, the landlord cannot raise your rent during the term of the lease.' " Everyone gave a disbelieving stare at the storm guardian.
"What does that have to do with this?!" Violet shouted.
"Agh what does it mean!" Tsuna scratched his gravity defying hair restlessly. Everyone but Reborn, who was dismayed by his student's lack of intelligence, stared at each other for a minute and then shrugged their shoulders.
"Did your dad do anything else to piss the landlords off?" Violet finished her tea and asked for a little more. "Not that I know of. My dad's pretty much polite to everyone."
"How did these business men look like Yamamoto-san?" Reborn asked the oldest person in their conversation. Tsuyoshi put his blade down and out his fist under his chin in thought.
"Well if I remember correctly the men had suits and ties like all formal people do but something was off. Takeshi, you said they had glasses?" The old shigure soen ryu user looked toward his son who agreed. "Ahe, they had on dark glasses so you couldn't tell who they were. One however had a purple colored bob haircut."
Reborn frowned. This didn't sound like a business tramp, it sounded more like a mafia interference.
"We have to do something about this!" Tsuna popped up. "Can't we do anything Reborn?"
"Sadly we can't touch the Family's savings until Nono dies." Tsuyoshi thought for a moment and said 'aha!' "Wait for just a moment" he said and left the counter to the main house and then came back with an old dusty brown box. "What is that oyaji?" Yamamoto put his finished cup on the counter and raised himself up to get a closer look.
"I was saving this for your future wife once you succeeded the restaurant Takeshi, but this will be the only way to pay those strange people," said Tsuyoshi and opened the box to reveal a gold diamond gangnam style pendant that seemed very old but brand new. The diamond glittered with radiance and it made the own teens' bracelets look inferior. They all wondered how much it was worth.
"It's worth a ton of mansions and repair damages you'll need later for the mafia," said Reborn and earned a glare from his two about-to-be-Vongola X students.
"It's beautiful! Haha my wife would've loved it!" Yamamoto laughed.
"She would've. It's a wonderful prize don't you think so Sumi-chan?" Yamamoto's father winked at Violet who started to redden at what he had meant. Yamamoto blinked twice, oblivious yet again. Gokudera growled under his breath and Tsuna just smiled nervously, sensing Gokudera's internal dynamite pop.
"Huh? Violet's just a friend old man," Yamamoto spoke.
"T-That's right!" She defended.
"I was only playing around you two. Anyways, this will be enough to cover that broken rule for a long time." The Takesushi owner viewed the necklace in a sad like manner. "It's beautiful just like the person I gave it to. It was your mother's Takeshi."
Violets embarrassment was long gone and began to feel an unwanted inking in her chest. 'No. Not now...'
"It was okaa-san's? I give you props old man! She must've really adored this necklace!" "She did very much," Tsuyoshi smiled as he remembered his late wife's reaction when he have her the accessory. "Too bad we'll have to give it away."
"You can't do that!" Violet suddenly shot up from her chair, her eyes covered by her bangs. Everyone gave her questioning looks. Tsuna's eyes fell a little. 'Oh no...'
"That was your mothers! How can you do that!"
"Sumi-chan-" Tsuyoshi started.
"It's the only way we can save our home Vio," Yamamoto cut off his father and explained.
"There has to be something else that you could give them! Why does it have to be something so meaningful to you?" Violet retorted.
"Letting go is important," Yamamoto shot back, this time feeling a little irritated at his friend's tone of voice.
"You can't let go of something so precious to you! This lets you remember her!"
"Vio-" "You really can't do it!" "Vio." "Can't you discuss about this?" "Vio..."
"You just don't understand!"
"No you don't understand!" Yamamoto yelled, shocking the star guardian. "It might be painful for my my old man and I but this is the only way we can find to save our restaurant! It's better letting go of something that reminds you of a painful past of someone who died than hanging onto it and you obviously don't know what it makes us feel! We need to let go of it because of the painful memories it brings! It hurts! You don't know what it's like to miss someone dead already, especially a mother at all!"
Tsuna felt his heart prick at the same time Violet felt horrified at what their best friend has said. Violet eyes stung amber ones angrily.
"Oh? I don't know how you feel? I don't know what it's like to lose someone so precious and close? Go do it then you stupid oblivious idiot. Go exchange that necklace for all I give a shit."
"Wouldn't you do the same thing? Wouldn't you feel the same way as I in letting this go? Of course you wouldn't since you don't even know the feeling!"
"Yamamoto please calm down! This isn't like you!" Tsuna begged as he saw his cousin looking so vulnerable. 'This has to stop!'
"Of course I wouldn't think like you! You just think it's easy to forget someone just like that! By giving away something that they have entrusted to you! Don't talk to me about me not understanding you because you clearly do not understand me. You obviously don't know anything about my life!" Violet ran out of the restaurant before anyone could stop her.
"Great. Thanks a lot baseball freak now we have to go after her," Gokudera growled and got up.
"I'm not going." Tsuyoshi gazed at his son angrily.
"She's hurting..." Tsuna whispered and everyone caught ear of it.
"What do you mean by she's hurting Tsunayoshi-kun?" Tsuyoshi asked concerned for what his son might have caused.
"..." Tsuna stayed quiet. "It's best if you ask her directly. I can't say anything since it's between just us family members." Tsuna gave his baseball loving friend a disappointed look.
"But just so you know she did lose someone important to her."
Yamamoto flinched.
The sky boss then bowed down to the restaurant owner. "I apologize sincerely for our rude behavior Tsuyoshi-san. Sorry."
"No no it's fine. Go and chase after Sumi-chan I bet she needs someone right now..." Tsuyoshi then glanced at his son who seemed to be feeling dreadfully guilty. "And I'll make sure she gets an apology later." Tsuna smiled and thanked the man and as he got Violet 's things Gokudera followed behind.
"Sorry Gokudera-kun but can you go home without me?"
Gokudera, who was also concerned bit his lips but nodded at his boss' request. "Of course Juudaime."
Tsuna took a step forward to the door. "Juudaime..." Tsuna turned. "Yes?"
"Can you call me later? I...I want to make sure she's also okay." Tsuna couldn't help but give his storm guardian a wonderful smile.
"Will do Gokudera-kun. Now I'm off!"
••••••••••••••••
Back to Vio's POV
I did try my hardest to hide in my anger. I mean, I bite people literally but I never expected it to be my own best friend telling me things like that. Oh great I sounded like disciplinary boy by saying bite. I didn't even mean to snap at Yamamoto that way heck, it's not even my woman's time of the month yet! That reminds me I need to go shop for more shampoo and girly needs later. I'll probably even buy hair dye and sneak it inside Gokudera's shampoo later.
Okay off topic but the serious moment was getting to me already and I really felt like saying stupid things. I was mad. And depressed.
There were many ways Yamamoto's dad could find to pay off those glass shaded assholes. Why give away such a special necklace that had such a big meaning to him and his son? I don't think I'll be seeing that stupid baseball nut for a while so might as well find another target to yell at, maybe a tree or Mimi the chihuahua.
I sighed and sat on a brown bench I happened to find on my way running here. Nami Park has always been the place I would come to whenever I'm not feeling cheery and where I imagined myself ripping fish bones to mere sticks. Imagined, as in not doing it since I also have to keep the peace. I already have Hibari on my tail at school for 9 hours, I do not need him going on and about it out of it so yeah that's why I can't do the thing of throwing marshmallows at squirrels and launching acorns at random people. Yeah the whole thing's backwards I know.
I dried the little specks of salt water from my eyes and relaxed on my seat as I gazed up at the sky.
"Kufufu may I ask why are you here alone?" a certain vocal sound made me nearly jump out of my uniform shorts. I gripped the solid wood under me as hard as I could.
There was that dumb pineapple head next to me on the right side of the bench dressed in the Kokuyo High uniform smiling at me like always, probably mentally laughing that he scared the wits out of me. I went through my school bag and took out a book I had borrowed from the school library.
The story of getting the book was actually pretty funny if I told you, which I will. Just before telling you I have a confession: I am failing english and home Ec. Yep, it's a bit of surprise for me but hey, I said I was smart, not a genius. So for raising up my english grade I have to read this stupid book as my only option.
This one girl thought she could push me to the library's floor and try to make me cry wolf but I did my part and smacked her to the ground with me like I did to Lambo a few days ago when he went on a rampage saying things like ,"VIO-NEECHAN'S DRAWERS ARE FULL OF TINY TEDDY BEARS AND RAINBOWS!"
...Um okay maybe I was the one on a rampage but c'mon, tell me if you would let a seven year old slide for seeing your private things that are off limits. So anyways after I smacked the girl down I claimed the book in victory and earned an ear piecing scolding from the librarian (who oddly resembled Squalo...). I did not apologize whatsoever.
"Alone? Me? Yeah right. I have the birds and the trees as company while I'm hanging out here reading a book," I lied.
"You just took that book out."
"I recently came here!"
"You've been sitting here for 15 minutes looking into space with a pained look little Vongola," Mukuro replied.
"STALKER!" I cried. "What's your next intention ? To rape me?" Mental note: Never mention this sort of suggestion to an assumed perverted pineapple head ever. It may boost up his confidence.
"You're not worthy to be raped by someone like me." I couldn't help but feel my eyebrow twitch at that comment.
"Yeah cuz who would want to bear fruit-based kids from you," I said trying to surpress a tickle coming from my chest. Mukuro looked pissed but he tolerated the comment and sighed. I was a little entertained by his little moment but as I remembered what happened back at the restaurant I frowned. I sighed roughly this time.
"Is there something going on in your head?" Mukuro asked. "What makes you think I'm thinking about something?"
"You're pained expression is back. That's a very rare sight seeing in on you," Mukuro's eyes bore into mine and I felt my pulse speed up just a tad bit by what I could've sworn I saw in them. He couldn't be worried... Could he? When that day would come I'll challenge myself to dance the samba on the day of my birthday. A bet to settle it.
"Could it be that you're concerned for me Mukuro?" I teased and my lips whirled up in a little visible smirk. I could've sworn I saw his cheeks turn a slight pink hue. My eyes widened. This was so out of his nature.
"...As a matter of fact and honestly, yes. I'm concerned for you."
Thanks a lot dude. Now I have to buy the CD to play on my sound track right in the morning of my 16th birthday. My pulse did not leave me the hell alone.
"W-Why exactly? I thought you didn't care about your future vessel to be?
Mukuro smirked. "Ah, so I see that you finally willing to become my pawn."
A stress mark appeared on my head and to prove I didn't like what he said I hit him with my 437 paged book. "Like hell I would submit to that you dummy. You're lucky your good looks take you far or you'd be locked up somewhere for saying that to a girl!" Mukuro chuckled, apparently amused.
"What's so funny!" I snapped at him.
"You. It's very amusing."
I hmphed. "I'm not a thing..."
'You don't know what it's like to miss someone that's already dead! '
"I can move..." 'You don't know the feeling!'
"I can feel. I have emotions." I could suddenly feel my body tremble and I couldn't hold back the tears and the pain those words were giving me. Yamamoto seriously had hurt me. I was a wreck on the inside.
I tried drying my tears with my blazer's sleeves but that salt water just kept coming like a river. Mukuro was a little alarmed but in a flash he went back to his old apathetic self.
"S-Sorry for bursting out like this," I hiccuped and I found my hands being lowered from my face.
"It may be amusing to see you bothered, but this isn't like you."
"Yeah yeah I know and you're oddly being kind to me which is so out of your nature. A friend of mine just told me I don't know about grievance."
Mukuro raised an eyebrow. "Oya? Did the little Vongola murder someone?"
"Fuck no! I'm not even capable of doing something like that! My mom was murdered!" I pierced the ground with a glare. Oh great now I was telling this guy my tragic story. Oh whatever, a tree wouldn't ask me what was wrong anyways.
"I was only five when I lost her. I was there when she could barely breathe but I wasn't fully conscious to see what was happening. It was weird I felt I was there but I wasn't. When I gained back consciousness there were wounds all over her body, her blood. It stained my little dress." Mukuro only listened attentively.
"My mother used the last of her strength to give me the Vongola star ring and tell me to grow up to be a fine lady." I smiled sadly, memories rushing through my head and I looked down on my left hand where the ring was.
"She was such a klutzy housewife who failed at chores but she had immense love for me and dad. You could say she was like, the first ever existing Dame-Tsuna." I sniffed and gained composure.
By that time when my mom died, my dad had given our town a an oath on not to speak about this incident at all. It was known as the Amare Incident and only my neighbors and close family members like Tsuna, Aunt Nana and mom's brother Uncle Iemitsu knew. I didn't speak to anyone for years and I lived apart from other kids my age. I only made a couple of friends and didn't go out much. I was too busy blaming myself for my mother's death. The only times I would forget the pain was when my dad would come to Japan to visit Tsunayoshi and Uncle Iemitsu and I would have the finest moments playing with my beloved cousin and his mother.
I broke my thoughts out and shook my head as I laughed. I was going in serious mode again. Agh how I hated that. "I don't think I'll be speaking to Yamamoto for a while."
"Ah, so it was the rain guardian who triggered your wound. How surprisingly interesting..." I rolled my eyes at the most guardian.
"Whatever, point is I'm done with being serious right now. Thanks for seeing me cry my eyes out again. If you don't mind I would like to get back to my book," I said to him and he gave me that emotionless face again. Man he's so unreadable when he wants to be...
"Like I said you just took out that book," he pointed out again.
I kicked the bench under with my foot. "Thanks for reminding me but you're not going to make me look stupid," I glared and opened the book to read. I couldn't concentrate since that fruit head kept keeping his eyes on me.
"But my dear Vongola, you already are. Look your shirt's collar is revealing something it shouldn't."
As I looked down, truly my shirt's collar was unbuttoned to the point where you could see the lace of my black you know what. My face was going crimson. Mukuro was smirking. I held my book with my index finger and gave the darn Kokuyo high student a sickly sweet smile before I began to give him an attack I called Book Word Smack.
Smack! "That hurts!"
"You perv!"
"Little -smack- Vongola..."
"You really know how to agitate me!" I targeted his arm next. "Stupid pineapple head! You do intend to rape me!" Couldn't say I could continue because I was stopped by Mukuro's hands. A dark aura was being emitted from his body and I was very familiar with it. I tried not to gulp.
"Kufufufu, what did you call me? I specifically told you I would give you something in return for doing that again. What was it?", his voice sounded so dark. "You know you're not the only fruit head that exists in the family," I stated returning a menacing look. His heterochromatic eyes kept burning my own and I growled.
"You said you would punish me yadda yadda. Seriously you and that prefect have strange ways of punishment."
"Oh really. Do tell. Has the skylark been giving you mouth to mouth?" His aura went black. I blushed again. "D-Don't say it like that! It was just a tactic he used to piss me the heck off!"
"I'm not sharing you Violet," Mukuro pulled my captive arms into his embrace on the bench.
I froze. Wait just a sec. WHAT?! Now why would he be sharing me!?
"What are you saying!" I yelled trying to catch my breath. At the closeness I could hear my heart pound in my ears. His scent was seriously not helping sooth my pulse. I squirmed but his force held me tight to stop me from moving.
"I don't even know myself. You're my extra vessel I intend to use and I will not give that vicious skylark the satisfaction of touching you." I was getting pissed off and was about to hit him on the chest when his eyes paralyzed me.N
Those blue and red eyes that were creepy to others but not to me, they were like a spell keeping me still and then I was pulled into a lip to lip moment.
Mukuro pulled my waist from the bench and laid me onto his lap like if I was just rescued from drowning in the sea or some other crap. His kiss felt so gentle and I sensed it was trying to tell me something but I couldn't quite captivate it at the moment.
I admit it, I hate this guy to the core but I was melting. Inside, I could feel heat immerse from my body. I wanted to end the kiss but another part of me told me not to.
And that's how I found myself kissing the pineapple back.
He separated for a moment to look at me, as I blushed that his gaze looked so tender. His un gloved fingers ran through my now untied hair and then his index finger traced my lips then downward to my still open shirt. '
Shit! I was supposed to button that up!'
"Kufufufu, I love your expression. So cute~"
"Perv get your finger out of that area! That is personal territory!"
His lips claimed me again and again, his hand gently holding the back of my head while the other pushed my waist against him. Behind the kiss I could feel the illusionist smile, enjoying my reaction.
When it ended I firstly buttoned up my shirt as quick as I could and then I got off Mukuro. Oh man that sounded super wrong! I shoved him to the corner of the bench right after.
"Oya? I see you didn't show any sign of objection. You really are-"
" I can curse your life out. Do not make me me do it. I am NOT in love with you. Never was, never will be."
Mukuro gave me a sly smile. "We'll see about that. I appreciate the entertainment you gave me. Until next time, Violet." In a blink of an eye, the stupid pineapple left in a smoke of mist.
I started kicking the living crap out of the bench. I was sooo going crazy. I wish this never happened! That stupid so stupid effing illusionist! He should really go die in a hole!
"Vio! Vio I know you're here!" a familiar voice called my name. I still had my foot on the edge of the wooden seat and I tilted my head to the left. Tsuna was running towards me sweating and breathing heavily. "Yo, Tsuna!"
He looked at my foot, then the bench, then at me. "Uh...what are you doing?"
"...Taking out my anger at the innocent Woodie."
"Woodie?"
Yeah I gave the darn bench a name so what?
"A-Anywho are you feeling any better?" Tsuna asked as he sweat dropped.
"Yeah, more or less. Sorry for running off like that," I apologized.
"It's okay. I-I already apologized to Tsuyoshi-san. Let's go home? Kaasan's probably wondering where we are."
I sighed a deep sigh. "Hai hai let's go," I grabbed the book and my bag from the bench and I ran to Tsuna, glomping him in the back.
"Kora! Don't do that!"
"Now you just sound like Colonello," I said and laughed hard. "How are we related? You're so bipolar..." Tsuna seemed a little annoyed and took a breath of air.
"Blood. Definitely by blood," I answered.
"It was a rhetorical question Vio..."
"Rhetorical Shmorical whatever. You love me and you know it."
Tsuna's lips curved into a kind grin. "Although you're sometimes a pain in my butt."
I snorted. "Back atcha. Let's go home! I'm looking forward to dinner!" I fluffed his gravity defying hair whose color matched my own. "Is food ALL you think about?!" he sounded agitated.
"Yes, yes I do. I'm hungry everyday dude. Onwards sky boss!"
Night had fallen. The whole Namimori town was as silent as an ant. The only lights that shone were the street lamps on the sidewalks and the very moon.
Yamamoto Takeshi was going to bed, looking forward to another day. It was a miracle That he had finished the assignments that's came in the Manila folder. Well not all the answers were correct but at least he did the work. Right after finishing homework he would go to the dojo and train with his old man but sadly today all he earned was a lecture of not making women cry, especially one that was his best friend.
Yamamoto sat on his bed feeling the guilt come back. How was he supposed to know what Violet felt, when she had never talked about her past with him? She had never snapped at him so serious before.
' Ah, I hurt her feelings didn't i?'
'You better apologize to Sumi-chan tomorrow Takeshi or else. I know I taught my son well.'
As Yamanoto was about to turn off his light and pull the sheets, the sound of glass breaking made his nerves jump.
THUD!
Yamamoto grabbed shigure kintoki from beside his nightstand and walked down to the restaurant. The windows were shut, but the door was open.
The rain guardian narrowed his eyes suspiciously and examined the area silently and slowly to find a motionless body on the floor where the kitchen stood. Yamamoto turned the lights on to find it was his dad on the ground breathing heavily and bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds that were visible on his stomach.
Horrified,Yamamoto threw shigure kintoki far and threw himself on his knees to pick up his father. "Dad! W-What happened? You're bleeding!"
"T...Takeshi..." Tsuyoshi whispered faintly, the pain making it unbearable to speak. "The necklace... They...took it." "Who took it?"
Silence followed. Yamamoto tried not to break down. "It's okay Ouyaji! I'll call for help!"
3 weeks had passed. No one but the Family and another person knew what had happened that day. Yamamoto didn't come to school for those 20 days and everyone was worrying. With the necklace stolen by the people who almost killed his father there was no way to save the restaurant on time. To make matters worse, he was kicked off his baseball team for not taking his post seriously.
'Where the hell have you been these couple of days Yamamoto? We counted on you to be there for the final game!' The co-captain snapped at him when he had run into his team at the park.
'If you're not going to start taking this seriously we might as well cut you off!'
Yamamoto gazed at his baseball buddies in shock and then his amber eyes landed on Violet who stared unemotionally at him. Her arms were crossed on her chest and she looked away as if saying 'I wish I could defend you, but I haven't forgiven you yet.'
Yamamoto felt so hopeless and couldn't find what do do no more.
He was failing school, he was no longer the head of the sport that he loved most in the world. His dad was in a critical coma, he was losing his home and he lost one of his best friends because of him. Deciding what to do best, the boy decided what was to do for his sake. End the suffering.
He didn't know how he made it to Nami-chuu's rooftop but he knew he had to do it. He almost did it once before and he could do it again without anyone holding him back. Tsuna had saved him, but not even his friends were there to get him down the rail.
'Today is different' the raven haired boy convinced himself. 'Im losing everything this time.'
As if on cue the roof door had busted open altering Yamamoto. His blank eyes caught eye of his friends and guardians, their eyes wide in panick. There was a pair of twin look alikes, a dynamite user, and a boxer in whom he hadn't seen in a while.
'Minna...'
"Yamamoto!" The cousins cried loudly together.
"Yamamoto get down from there!" Gokudera yelled.
"Don't do it to the extreme! Think about how many people will get extremely hurt!" Ryohei roared.
"Minna..." The rain guardians voice quivered. "I've already thought about it actually. I've screwed up on many things. My old man's dying. I hurt one of my closest friends. I'm losing my home." Yamamoto took a step forward. "I want this to end. I almost did it once before and I can do it again."
Tsuna felt dread consume dread consume his body. Out of the Vongola guardians, he was the most innocent. He was the most amiable, the kindest and happiest. He couldn't do this again. He had so much to live for.
"YAMAMOTO!"
